Do you believe law abiding conceal carry permit holders should be jailed for carrying in weapon free zones on college campuses, including knives?
Crazy as this may be, being proposed right now in Annapolis is this exact bill with 39 democrat co sponsors.

weapon free zones.....means just what it says, yes.
The number one soft target locations are schools. The govt makes them gun free zones. What exactly is the agenda?
no they should not be harrased
Schools, malls, stores, etc. do NOT have the legal authority to overrule laws they don't agree with. Legislative authority is granted to specific bodies, not private individuals or groups.
Constitutional authority trumps it all.
Maryland Legislators will not stop restricting gun ownership and rights until only criminals and cops have guns. Law abiding citizens will be the only ones NOT ALLOWED to own or carry guns.
That's kind of like asking is a legal driving should get a ticket for exceeding the speed limit, isn't it?
So you agree with the phrase "shooting fish in a barrel?"
Weapon free zone doesn't mean the scum of the Earth are going to abide by their little sign.
Typical uneducated moron liberal Democrats from Maryland. Just when you would think it couldn't get any worse. All States surrounding Maryland issue carry permits. However we still have the Constitution to fall back on.
No! If and when a shooter was to get into the school, at least someone could protect the students.
No and hell no,more rights being taken from law abiding citizens, do you think the criminal element will be following the law?
It's hard to believe this bill is even being introduced, but we are in Maryland.Lol
wait! Maryland issues very few permits, and the ones that are are usually heavily restricted.
until they start actually allowing citizens to carry, whats the point?
now the knife thing is just plain stupid. i never leave home without a pocket knife
As difficult as it was for me to receive my Maryland Carry Permit, after all the hours of training, all the THOROUGH background checks, face-to-face interviews with State Troopers, calls to references, letters from employers and banks, fingerprints, and demonstrating proficiency with my handgun, you'd think I would be exempt from this law.
I can tell you this though, when I go to my children's' schools, or to SU and UMES on business (almost daily), I do not disarm. I keep calm, and carry on.
What a joke this state is.
I carry whenever I want, wherever I want. Maryland can go pound sand.
To borrow a line from Gretchen Wilson "Hell, no"! These "gun free" zones are the stupidest idea ever to come from the minds of politicians!
I agree with 12:14
With everything we have to go through we should be able to carry without restrictions the same as a Police Officer.
There should be no private business gun free zones
Not long ago an employee of CVA used his weapon, a handgun, to foil a robbery. Management fired him. This on its merits is asinine. I don't agree with it but there is way to many obstacles to obtain a handgun permit, but there are some good points, just a few! however restricting an individual with a lawful permit to carry concealed should be exempt from the ridiculous gun free zones. I have a permit, I carry, when and where I want to, except maybe government establishments. I don't announce it, it's CONCEALED. I ask you? If you legally carry and you use that weapon to stop the possible death or injury to some child in school, parents would be forever grateful, can you imagine the fallout if you were prosecuted for carrying in a gun free zone. I think I'll take my chances with a jury on that one.
NO, if your licensed to carry that means you are qualified to carry and use a gun, so no, the person should be able to carry everywhere. Do cops have to remove their guns in a gun free zone? This is clearly discrimination.
I will be judged by 12 rather than carried by 6 so f them.
Only if those area are specifically mentioned in the concealed carry permitting updates to users. The state makes the rules, not anyone else.
I'm with 4:55. And the 2A is the law of the land. It was voted for and approved by the 2/3 majority of the states and made law.
States need to honor and abide by it.
I don't think ANYONE should be banned from carrying a gun, in any place.
Just for the record the constitution never made a reference to concealed weapons. A concealed weapons permit is not a right. Any company or organization has the right to not allow them on their property. After reading most of the posts it a wonder most of you can walk and chew gum at the same time. Most of you need to do alittle more research before you post....
