Last-minute tax tips as 2015 comes to a close

Tax season is just around the corner and there are a few step you can take in the last few days of 2015 to make that time a little easier for yourself.

Tony King with the Pikesville-based accounting firm King, King and Associates, said you can start to look for a lot of things coming in in January or you can start looking now at your 2014 return so it gives you an idea of what to look for this year.

And if you're afraid you might owe on your taxes this year, there are still some things you can do in the last few days of 2015 to change that," King said.

"You still have time to donate to your favorite charity," King said. "If you have not maxed out on your 401k contributions you can ask your employer to increase on this last paycheck increase your contributions."
