#NursesUnite became a trending topic following a discussion on the daytime talk show about Miss Colorado Kelley Johnson. Johnson, who is a nurse, performed a monologue about her job while dressed in scrubs and wearing a stethoscope around her neck.
The hosts later said their comments were taken out of context.
"The View" co-host Michelle Collins discussed the performance on the show, saying that "there was a girl who wrote her own monologue and I was like 'Turn the volume up, this is going be amazing, let's listen.' She came out in a nurse's uniform and basically read her emails out loud and, shockingly, did not win."
"I swear to God it was hilarious," Collins said.
Co-host Joy Behar questioned, "Why does she have a doctor's stethoscope on?"

The comments were not misconstrued. They were trying to cover their butts. They acted like fools and now can't undo it.
This is a show I have never seen; now I am glad I never wasted my time on bimbos.

I can not believe this show is still on the air, who watches this stuff? A bunch of has-beens with little to no intelligence sitting around discussing issues that are so far over their heads.

Nurses and teachers both are two of our most important professions. Both continue to be primarily staffed by women and both are professions that are disrespected by too many whether the person providing services is male or female.
We need different people to be HOSTS for the next show... These clowns don't even know what their job description IS or possess the intelligence to perform it properly.!

Do we still have true teachers or people who train kids to memorize and recite whatever 'facts' are presented to them?Are kid encouraged to think for themselves and question what they are being 'taught' or are they forced to accept whatever some 'authority figure' tells them?
