I didn't see any parking meters in those pictures, because there weren't any! Then they planted them. That's why the stores moved out to the malls! The malls had FREE PARKING!!!!!!
Just look at the down towns that have free parking in the middle of a WEEKDAY! Berlin you have trouble finding a parking spot because everybody is DOWNTOWN SHOPPING! 100% occupancy of the storefronts! I couldn't open up a shop in Berlin if I wanted to, BECAUSE THERE ARE NO VACANCIES!!!! Cambridge, Easton, same story.
Just keep buying bike racks and bikes to fill then up with, Jimbo. Waste our money painting pretty pictures of bikes on the pavement. Spend money on "free" WIFI.
Patrons are the bottom line.I love listening to guys like him,but he is from another world that once was.We are now in the world of convenience and ease that embraces a big retail concept. If only a few big stores like Penny's,Woolworths, and Montgomery Wards had hung in there a bit longer on the plaza a lot would have been different today.

Good luck Bill Ahtes & Joey Gilkerson, but with the present Mayor - I just don't see it happening.

He is a Joke and he doesn't have a future as a Democrat. Neither do his friends like Brad Gillis and Jake Day.
Downtown will never be anything until all of the section 8 housing is run out of the Bury.
