Grand Jury Won't Indict Man Who Shot, Killed Central Texas Sheriff's Deputy In December

DALLAS – A grand jury has declined to charge a Central Texas man for killing a sheriff's deputy who entered his home to carry out a search warrant.

Henry Goedrich Magee was accused of capital murder for the Dec. 19 death of Burleson County Sgt. Adam Sowders. Magee's attorney, Dick DeGuerin, said Thursday the grand jury did not return a capital murder indictment against Magee.

Sheriff's deputies entered Magee's rural home near Somerville to search for guns and marijuana. DeGuerin has said Magee awoke and thought burglars were entering his home about 90 miles northwest of Houston, reached for a gun and opened fire.

We would hope that this would abate some of the police abuses of power, but not likely.

If rogue mercenary Government soldiers violate your constitutional rights and you "feel" your life is threatened, you have the right and OBLIGATION to defend and protect the constitution and yourself and family.
Shoot.

Unfortunately most will die exercising those rights.

Which cop wants to be first in the door NOW? LOL! Shooting back tends to get the attention of people who believe their power is limitless and unchecked.
I wonder how many hundreds of rounds the cops fired into that house (and didn't hit anything)? A citizen wakes up in the middle of the night, perhaps a bit groggy and definitely scared, takes a shot and KILLS an intruder. THAT'S called "focus". And conservation of ammunition.
Perhaps the police should consult him on how to hit what you are shooting at (without using every bullet in you possession).
