According to health officials, this is the first sample of mosquitoes that has tested positive for the West Nile virus in Worcester County this year. West Nile Virus was first identified in Worcester County in 2003.
West Nile virus is most common during the summer and fall months, health officials say. The virus is transmitted by infected mosquitoes and spread to humans, birds, horses and other animals.

Been getting covered with them in my backyard in SBY. Wonderful, something else to worry about.
I haven't seen a mosquito in a month.
