I liked the Thomas Jefferson quote posted a few days ago about the beauty of the 2nd amendment not being needed until it may be taken away.
Those founding fathers with their documents for a free republic sure did get it right.

If they take away our means of protection in a shooting spree, the body count just goes up. Where's the logic in that?
Of all the things they are trying to change I haven't seen one thing that would have stopped the shooting at Sandy hook, the theater in Colo or any of the other mass shootings. They are taking guns away from responsible gun owners. The crazy people will still get them and when they can't they will use other means to carry out their horrific plots.
