CHRISTIAN RADIO HOST SAYS GOD DIDN’T PROTECT KIDS IN SHOOTING BECAUSE WE’VE TOLD ‘GOD TO GET LOST’

Evangelical radio host Bryan Fischer is under fire after comments he uttered today during his American Family Association radio program. His statements, made in reference to today’s horrific school shooting in Connecticut, raised some eyebrows, particularly among liberal groups who view them as insensitive and wrong-headed. Mediaite has a recap:

Christian radio host Bryan Fischer took to his American Family Association radio show this afternoon to say that God didn’t stop the horrific Connecticut elementary school shooting spree because he does not go “where he is not wanted.”

Fischer made the case that, in his mind, God would have protected the shooting victims had there been a system of school prayer and a respect for the Ten Commandments in public classrooms.

I am a Christian and very proud of it,but I'm tired of people trying to explain why god does what he does.Does the god of the universe really need to have his current actions explained by a mere mortal?Humans simply need to accept the fact that his ways are not like our ways.Stick to the Bible. It's as current today as it was thousands of years ago.

Too bad that logic didn't apply to that Pennsylvania Amish school that was shot up a few years ago.

TRUE, AND THAT ALL WE CARE ABOUT IS MUSLIMS.

why can't people see that we have banned God from our government schools, from many homes, businesses, public and private arenas and yes even some churches.

it is no mystery to me that these things are happening at an accelerated rate. read the bible yourselves and see what God says about what to expect in the "last days". you can mock Him all you want, but it will never change the truth.

when we have tragedies like this; why do people say "why does God allow this to happen"? are you serious? God is no longer protecting and blessing this nation. again; the people don't want Him in their lives; only when they think they need Him. so be it. we have allowed our nation as a whole to create this situation. be careful what you ask for; you might get it.

one day we will all realize we need God, but for now all the loud voices can say is take away our guns. so ignorant.

Any god that would punish innocent children in 2012 because adults chose to remove school prayer in 1963 isn't much of a god. It's certainly not the God I believe in and fellowship with.

IF there was a god things like this wouldn't happen. why do you bible thumpers go to the hospital when you're sick and scared? why don't you just wait for your god to fix you up? all gods are the same, products of overactive imaginations and weak minds.

People need to stop speaking for God.

God did not "allow" these children to be "taken." God did not "punish" these children and adults or "fail to protect" them.

Fisher is a pig for bringing more sorrow to the grieving families with statements like this and he should shut up.

In the meantime, those grieving are turning to God for comfort and strength to deal with this horror which was inflicted by a man, not God.

This line of thinking is too ignorant for words. God is everywhere, wanted or not. DO NOT buy into this garbage that God didn't protect these innocents out of spite for those who believe in separation of religion and government. God was in the heart of those little children.

Please remember to recount your less then sanctimonious theories to God, in the last seconds of your pea brained life 7:43am, I doubt he'll be amused.

Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mark 10:15 I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

In order to communicate or understand anyone there needs to be a line of open communication. When is the last time you spoke to GOD?
