Help Us Keep Kids Safe In Cars – It’s Child Passenger Safety Week
Each year, thousands of children are tragically injured or killed in automobile accidents. In fact, motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for children ages 1 through 13.
We want to change this and we need your help. We want to motivate those who think they are securing their child properly to seek help. We’re aiming to change that with National Seat Check Saturday on September 22. As part of Child Passenger Safety Week (September 16-22), communities nationwide will have certified technicians available to provide hands-on child safety seat inspections and advice — for free!
We think a post about Child Passenger Safety Week and National Seat Check Saturday would be of great interest to your audience. Could you inform your readers about these important events? We have a lot of helpful information and tools that would be great to include in a blog post for your readers:
•A locator to find nearby car seat inspection stations on National Seat Check Saturday and throughout the year: http://www.nhtsa.gov/cps/cpsfitting/index.cfm
•A beautiful, informational infographic about proper child seat safety (downloadable here and attached)
•A web site with instructional videos, handy informational flyers, and links to product ratings and recall lists
•A video PSA that shows that parents who really know it all, know for sure their child is in the right car seat.
Have a question or want to learn more? The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) will be answering child passenger safety questions from the Twitter handle [@NHTSAgov] on Wednesday, September 19 at 2pm ET. Car seat safety experts will be available to answer questions on car seats and how to safe travel with children of all ages. Just follow the hashtag #TheRightSeat to join the chat.

Child safety week? Everyday is child safety week or month or year.
No safety seat , lock up the parent and give the child to fosters.
