Openly Gay Service Members Haven't Hurt The Military
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said having openly gay service members has not hurt the military a bit. He said it was now "part and parcel" of what is accepted. The military services and combatant commands have sent Panetta monthly updates since Don't Ask Don't Tell was repealed nine months ago. The Associated Press said: No leader has reported problems with military order or discipline because of the change. Officials said they were worried beforehand simply because they did not know the impact it would have.

To soon to tell. I know there are a lot more law suits and more military secrets lost.
No impact the world did not end. Just prejudice and lies kept them out. Same with gay marriage nothing will change.
I did see that company A First Battalion 82nd airborne has a sewing circle now. They also offer silk panties for under the dress blues.
All the gays are issued knee pads instead of flack vests.
Truth is, a lot of gays have been serving open for years. My roommate is a Commander, 20+ years in since graduating out of Annapolis. It's normal to have Admirals over for a drink, watch the game. It's out there. These guys have seen it since leaving the Annapolis, so it's nothing new. I remember a kid from Bennett, who was VERY open while in high school(even had a rainbow on his backpack). A year after he graduated, he was back at Bennett helping with recruiting lol. It's no big deal. Never was.
exactly what i was thinking, 12:03pm.
Gays should be banned it weakens the cohesion of our armed services.
Gays are part of the democrat communist movement letting them in the military has made us vulnerable.
I agree 100% with 8:39am and 11:49am. This country is in bad shape.
Many think Obama is the first black president but he is better known in some circles as the first gay president.
Either way he is NOT my president and I will never refer to him as president. He didn't earn that title he stole that title.
