Gingrich also said the Palestinian Authority, which has typically represented the moderate wing of Palestinian leadership and formally accepts Israel's right to exist, is motivated by "an enormous desire to destroy Israel."

Helen Thomas Was Crucified for Saying of Israelis What Newt Says About the Palestinians
Former Speaker Newt Gingrich dismissed the Palestinian bid for statehood as the effort of an "invented Palestinian people, who are in fact Arabs, and were historically part of the Arab community."
Gingrich also said the Palestinian Authority, which has typically represented the moderate wing of Palestinian leadership and formally accepts Israel's right to exist, is motivated by "an enormous desire to destroy Israel."

Gingrich is absolutely correct.
The difference is Israel wants to live in peace and the Palestinian's want to kill all Jews.
I think it is time for the USA to cut the cord.
The constant tip toeing around this area of the world is ridiculous. They will never be friends, and they will never see eye to eye on anything.
8:41, you are too funny. Isreali business interests are looking to make big bucks off real estate in areas that should be apart of the palestinian state. And their return to Isreal following WWII was FAR from peace. Elements on both sides of this conflict maintain power and profit by keeping this whole thing going while the average Joe gets stiffed on both sides.
Just goes to show how much political clout AIPAC has versus the Palestinians here in the US
