Drug Investigation Leads To Multiple Arrests

Seaford, DE- Three men have been arrested on multiple drug offenses following a two month investigation into illegal drug sales in the Seaford, DE area.
 
On Thursday, October 27, the Delaware State Police Sussex County Drug Unit and the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team (S.O.R.T) executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 10000 block of Concord Road, Seaford. The search was the culmination of a two month long investigation into illegal drug sales in the area.
 
As S.O.R.T. members entered the home, Russell Hurst, William Collick, and Willard Scott all attempted to flee. They were each taken into custody however, after struggling with the S.O.R.T. members.
 
Upon executing the search warrant, the investigating officers seized over 69 grams of marijuana, 174 prescription medicine tablets (21 Clonazepam, 122 Oxycodone, 25 Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride, and 6 Tizanidine Hydrochloride), 9 grams of crack cocaine, 16 grams of powder cocaine, a small amount of heroin, two pistol style air guns, and $320.00 in suspect drug proceeds.
 
Russell Hurst was also wanted by the Delaware State Police in reference to a domestic related incident that had occurred at a residence on German Road, in Seaford, on October 25, 2011. In that incident, Hurst is alleged to have displayed a handgun at several individuals who were outside of the home.
 
Russell Hurst, Willard Scott, and William Collick were all arrested and charged with the above list of crimes. They were arraigned at JP Court 3 and committed to the Department of Corrections for lack of bail.
