Life is just way too short not to get away for a few days. BUT, were having to go the cheap route. Staying with friends and relitives, eating sandwiches for lunch, that we make ahead of time, little inexpensive motels, with free breakfast included. free refills on sweet tea at McDonalds, just save your cup for them. The gas is the worst expence! But N. and S. Carolina it is $3.15 a gal or less! You only live once, and to put living off till better times or next summer, well, you don't get a second times around if your number is up. Live for the now.
If you count being retired - I've had a vacation for years. However, I stay busy with lots of things. Perhaps a trip to Florida later this year.
