Veteran Joyce admits 2-out call that denied Tigers' Galarraga history wrong

DETROIT
- Armando Galarraga squeezed the ball in his mitt, stepped on first base with his right foot and was ready to celebrate the first perfect game in Detroit Tigers’ history.

What happened next will be the talk of baseball for the rest of this season and likely a lot longer.

Umpire Jim Joyce emphatically called Cleveland’s Jason Donald safe and a chorus of groans and boos echoed in Comerica Park.

The commisioner should overturn it, thats history made right there, dont rob the guy.

The Commissioner and MLB do have the power to overturn the umpire's admitted blown call and restore the rightful and truthful result. I have no ties or feelings either way toward this pitcher or the Tigers, but what's right is right. To me, not over-ruling an incorrect umpire's decision just to uphold the credibility of their calls, actually undermines their credibility all that much more.
