I can't believe what I just saw. How ignorant can the usurper be? Didn't watch last night because on the best of days he makes me sick. I might have thrown something at my tv on that one. How outrageous. He needs a dose of common decency.

Obama has been called a liar twice during speeches to Congress.

Doesn't he understand that there is checks and balances between the three branches. It seems to me that he frustrated that the Supreme Court didn't agree with him. Out of all the things he said last night; this messages towards the Supreme Court made my stomach turn the worst. It should be noted that I did NOT agree with the Supreme Courts decision. But what he did was wrong and distasteful.

10:46 since when is voicing disagreement with the decisions of another government branch "wrong and distatesful". I get you should tell congress to sit down and STFU then.

Get ready for every single election to be owned by corporations. And you can thank Alito for that.

They all looked like statues forced to be there.

Oil companies and insurance companies will own all future elections. they will out spend everyone to get who will vote in their favor.

It hasn't been 100 year law it's only been since McCain / Finegold and they're scared republicans might be able to have the same funds that Dems/Socialists get ! But to do it during the state of the Union is ignorant and sealed his fate as a one term President !

I think he was right, even though many thought him rude. What the Court did moves us closer to business as government.

The corporations already own our government.

There is VERY little that I think Obama is right about, but THIS is one of those things. You think things are bad now with O's so-called Socialist government? Just wait! As the comment above says, insurance companies and big oil will own it all. It's bad enough now that the Chinese owns so much of America's debt. The big money boys will seal America's doom when they own the government.

Why is it fair to over tax business but business's can't have a say in who they want as President ! Business's create jobs government does not !

Actually he did in fact "LIE".
The law states that companies that are primarily headquartered outside of the country can not contribute in any way to national, state, and local elections.
He said this law opens the door for contributions, when it specifically makes it illegal to do so.

This law that SCOTUS shot down only applies to ads 30 days before an election or primary. Corporations can already buy ads for their candidates any time they want. They can also spend as much as they want, remember "General Betrayus" ads. Anyone could do that just not right before an election. They didn't change anything because no one can donate whatever amount they want to any one political candidate and corporations can't donate to candidates at all.

The man's name is Alito you dumbass, not Alto.

You need to look around. This is a big part of what's wrong with our government now, business/lobbying interference and persuasion!
You get ONE vote as an American VOTER. The "business" has already voted once the owner casts his vote.

Stop trying to give certain people more than one vote because that's what it amounts to!

People claim corruption, well this is how it happens!

Pres. Obama is fast becoming little more than one big fabrication himself. What a disgraceful and distasteful lie made before the world, once again affirming his lack of veracity!

the swift boat ads as well as the old Dukakis ads show how effective ads late in the campaign can be. And if I'm a foreigner with large holdings of stock, you bet I can influence the company to run ads and contribute to candidates according to my own agenda
