(Save the...) BreastFest has been rescheduled!!! It will now be held October 1st, 7pm at the Purple Moose Saloon on the Ocean City, MD boardwalk. We want to raise breast cancer awareness with the main focus on promoting breast self exam. The DE Breast Cancer Coalition will have a booth at the event excepting donations, giving out informational material, and selling t-shirts, coozies, and bracelets. Our goal is to put a different and younger face on the victims of breast cancer. Breast cancer can strike women, and men, of any age. There will be a prize raffle, a 50/50 drawing, and live music from the area’s hottest bands. Please check the website for updates as they are occurring daily. www.myspace.com/savethebreastfestAll of the proceeds will be donated to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. The contributions will support the mission of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) to empower our community through outreach, education and support services, in order to facilitate the early detection and treatment of breast cancer. The dedicated staff and volunteers will continue to provide education and raise awareness about early detection. DBCC provides services to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients through our Peer Mentor Program by providing one-on-one emotional support, education, and resources.

Notice it's for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and being held in a MARYLAND location.
I hope they don't "except" too many donations. Unless they have too much money already.
Probably because the only venues to hold this type of event are in Maryland.
The bands are from Maryland AND Delaware and the biggest chance for a crowd is in Ocean City.
It's a GREAT cause and a LOT of work went into this, I'm sure.

Wow.....I can't believe some people. This is an important cause and a worthy event and all you can do is find fault?
They really should of named it something more dignified if they wanted a more serious tone.

I think those are the things that you put around a soda or beer can to keep them cold, but Im not positive.
Coozies are those things that you slip a drink into to help maintain the temperature of the drink. I'm sure you've seen them.
Breast Fest......it's Ocean City. They have Fests all the time. It's a play on that.......and it's a fun, music loaded benefit...not a serious, sit down $100 a plate dinner.
