You know, from the field already registered to run for Mayor of Salisbury, this guy just might be the right choice. At least this time the Mayor would be open about drinking, wear a jacket and pants to cover up, especially in the cold and sport a smile on their face for once and actually be happy. Have you hugged a Car Salesman today? Oh, that's right, they're taking advantage of yet another Bailout. It's no wonder those Car Salesmen are lining up to get another job where they'll sit on their axx all day and complain about getting hemorrhoids.

I can assure you that MOST car salesmen have dress codes and don't look like this guy. Also, why must we always consider those hardworking people who make their living providing for the transportation needs of people as a joke? With the economy in as bad a shape as it is, used cars may be the only kind that some families can afford. Those people who work long hours, must know a large inventory, and be able to get financing for many borderline buyers. Give 'em a break. They're providing an important service.
I can assure you not all car salesman are for the auto bailout. As far as I'm concerned all of these bailouts spell disaster and will further put the country on the road to socialism and dependence on government.
After reading the Tilghman Times this morning it would not surprise me. Shanie announced she will run. What a joke. She was evicted and resides in P.A. now. This City has fallen to the bottom of respect among our neighboring cities. A Mayor that looks like this is a real possibility. If you squint and drink a couple of beers, it looks like Bubba. Man can it get worse here in Whoville.

While I have many friends who sell Used Cars, I would rag on them too if they ran for Mayor. We've had enough of the, this car was driven by a little old lady and was always garage kept crap.
If you don't like the reputation the Used Car business has had to 50+ years, get into another business.
Now, if you were a Priest running for Mayor it would be a whole different thing, with exception of the brand of Wine. ;-)
By the way, I used to own a chain of Pool Halls. Imagine the kind of crap I used to get back then. Deal with it. I did.

Joe, why do you always resort to personal attacks? How do you know this man is car salesman, or are you just picking on that poor dude who's trying to run for mayor and happens to be a car salesman. I don't get it.
JOE I have seen you many times blast someone for making uneducated or uninformed comments. It is a shame that you dont hold yourself to the same standards. I dont know the man in the picture but I can assure you that the majority of car salesman nowadays are honest and upfront. There is so much information available kbb, edmunds, nada, carfax, etc. that the only way a car salesman has an opportunity to be shady is if you dont do any homework. By educating yourself with 20 min worth of research, and if you have paid your bills (lol), you wont allow yourself to be "played with". Also instead of tucking tail and "getting out of the business" as you so eloquently put it. I will be STANDING here with my head up, chest out, educated and informed about my product with the ability to properly demonstrate it, build value in it, and hopefully...yes hopefully... changing a couple of perceptions about the car business along the way. thank you for your time the salesman

I was really beginning to enjoy SBY News and was excitedly telling everyone I met about it. It was a breath of fresh air compared to other new sources available and included up to the minute reporting of things of importance going on around town. Now you’ve found it somehow important to slam what I do for a living because someone who does it is running for mayor? Because used car salespeople are all the same? You then go on to tell me to get out of the business if I don’t like it! You had the perfect chance to apologize or at least say that you were joking and you didn’t take it. Go ahead, BUY A CAR FROM THE MISINFORMED GENERAL PUBLIC. Often no inpection, no warranty, no recourse. Most successful automobile salespersons work by referral and will answer the phone after the sale unlike the person you bought a car found "on the curb." Guys like Ed Blackburn are true professionals and quite frankly are the norm. No,I'm not in the business.

Ed, It's a shame you didn't see the humor in the Post and or haven't noticed my sense of homor regularly but as you said, you haven't been coming here long so how would you really know me, right?
Nevertheless, JOE ALBERO didn't label Used Car Salesmen these past 50+ years, get over it. If you don't like coming here you have every right not to come back. No one is twisting your arm or putting a gun to your head. Oh, not everyone likes me either. Not everyone likes you too, so remember that. You don't put your name on the line in front of many thousands of people per day either. It's very tough to make everyone happy when you're dealing with so many.
You are one of those black and white people I've mentioned in the past. If I don't say everything you like, cut me off and never come back again. You should try making friends with Mayor Tilghman and Chief Webster because they have that same kind of warped mentality.

I doubt you will loose this reader for long. He will be back. Where else are you going to get the news as it should be reported? Where else are you going to get issues that nobody else is talking about? Don't take it so personal. You were allowed to voice your opinion. That is what it is all about sharing ideas and opinions. Letting us know what is going on and where. I like the fact he puts everything and anything into this site. Gives you a chance to express your opinion and who knows your opinion could change someones mind. If you read all the posts you will see there are others that don't like Joe for one reason or another but they don't go away. I don't think you will go away either. Keep doing what you are doing Joe like you or not you got it right.
