Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

On June 23, 2008 at approximately 7:10 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to a residence on Middleneck Drive for the report of a rape. Upon arrival, the officers met with the victim who advised that on this date a male known to her entered her residence without authorization and raped her. The female, who is fifteen (15) years of age, identified the below listed suspect, who was located and taken into custody.

ARRESTED: Brandon Lewis Townsend, 20 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Second degree rape
Fourth degree Sex Offense
Second degree assault
Fourth degree burglary

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800022013

On June 23, 2008 at approximately 11:49 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department stopped a vehicle occupied by the below listed suspect in the area of E. Lincoln Avenue for traffic violations. The officers received consent to search the vehicle, and as a result of the search located a piece of suspected crack/cocaine and a glass smoking device containing suspected crack/cocaine residue in the suspect’s possession.

ARRESTED: Jessica Pamela Cordrey, 26 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES: Possession of cocaine Possession of cds/paraphernalia

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800022040

On June 24, 2008 at approximately 11:45 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to a residence on Carrolton Avenue for the report of an assault. Upon arrival the officers met with a victim who advised that two (2) suspects, listed below, that were known to the victim had ridden by the victim’s residence in a vehicle and had shot at the victim with a bb gun. The victim was struck by the bb’s but did not sustain an injury. During the assault, the suspects also struck the residence and a nearby vehicle with the bb’s causing minor damage. Responding officers located the vehicle and a check of the vehicle revealed a paintball gun, an air bb pistol with a bag of bb’s and a quantity of suspected marijuana. The investigation is continuing.

ARRESTED #2: Tiara Nicole Johnson, 24 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES: (Both): Second degree assault Malicious destruction of property

DISPOSITION: Both released to Central Booking CC # 200800022168

On June 20, 2008 at approximately 12:45 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department observed the below listed suspect trespassing on posted property on Railroad Avenue. The officers met with the suspect, who was found to be wanted on an outstanding parole retake warrant. As a result of the warrant, the suspect was arrested and a search of the suspect’s person, incident to arrest, revealed a quantity of suspected crack/cocaine and related paraphernalia.

ARRESTED: Rodney Elliot Stevenson, 40 years of age Crisfield, Maryland

CHARGES:
Parole Commission Retake Warrant
Possession of cocaine
Possession of cds/paraphernalia
Trespassing

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800021658, 200800021662

I Know the 15 year old, she is a really sweet girl, to bad this had to happen to her.

Those idiots are lucky the victims didn't see the accused aim the BB gun at them and shot first killing one of them before they realized what they had was a BB gun. The same thing happened to a police officer not that long ago. Myself, I don't think I'd wait for the criminal to shoot first, if I saw the gun and had one at hand I'd certainly shoot first if I could if they were aiming at me.

A BB gun may not be lethal however it can easily put someone's eye out.

No matter what the method, this form of vandalism needs a severe penalty. BB Gun looks like a gun when your driving (ask the DC police that took my report in 1998) The bull crap about them being kids or just fooling around has to go away. Make them responsible for their actions. If I find the piece of crap that shot through my window last year I wouldn't hesitate to return the favor.
