For the few of you that are left still subscribing to the Daily Times, how did you like what got delivered today? How do you have a major front page article about a report that will be coming out later today and not have any concrete information about the subject at hand? It clearly shows that they have nothing to share and that they better announce a day ahead of time that tomorrow they'll have information Salisbury News might share today. TOO FUNNY!
Then there's the Fernando Gerrero Fight. Did you notice how that article just bounced around from one thing to another and then another? It's Tuesday, he fought on Saturday and they're still dragging that one along like they have one up on everyone else. Again, TOO FUNNY!
Then you look at today's Salisbury News and think, yep, the only reason people are buying the Daily Slime is to see who died and or read the comics. Am I being too bold? Have a Great Day everyone!

No you are not being too bold. Regarding who died -
I go on their web site to read that now so one more reason not to have to subcribe to the paper. I dont read the comics. I must admit that I buy Thursdays edition for the GO section and the Sunday edition to keep up with the weddings and engagements. Other than that..NOT!
That's the first place I go to ,
the obit. , that's sick .
No, not sick just part of life.
I am all about hypin up this site, but it's not a very even match. The blog allows people to post events ASAP.
The Times (although they could deliver on time!) can only put out that one paper a day.
Same for the news on TV... since it only runs at set times... it will seem that they are "copying" stories etc.
The blog would be like breaking into regular scheduled television every 20 mins with a late breaking story.
Then there is the side that access to the blog can easily report false stories, bc the event was posted too quickly. A lot of times it seems to be because "you heard it hear first".
It goes both ways... but the blog should just continue to spread it's stories (without worrying or comparing to other news outlets) and the fan base will follow.
The older you get the more you too will be looking at the Obit's. If you don't know, how can you pay respect and attend the funeral of a former co-worker or classmate?
One would think that if a co worker didn't show up for work you'd know they were dead. However, I see your point.
That's "former co-worker" LoL I'm on my toes after a good nap 0¿~
