Fernando Guerrero gets a 1st Round Knock Out Saturday night making him now 7 - 0, all by way of knock out!
He came out of his corner and clobbered the guy with a wicked hook and knocked him down to the canvas in which his opponent barely got up before the 10 count was given. Fernando proceeded to knock him down 4 times in the 1st Round and he could not get back up after the 4th knock down.
This kid is just something else Ladies & Gentlemen. I am working on arrangements to travel perhaps to his next fight and be there live blogging away and calling the fight from ring side. It may be a short post but I truly enjoy this young man and want to offer all the support I can from Salisbury.

while I think its great he keeps winning... if all go in first round he wont get the experience he needs. WAY TO GO!!
I feels great to be able to root for a fine man and role model
I really hope the community will get behind this great operation, there are quite a few more "champions" there waiting in the wings. Its not his won-loss record that is so inspirational, it's the way he choses to live his life and be such a power of example to other kids that he and Hal mentor.
Joe, Thanks so much for keeping the public informed on Fernandos success. I can't wait for you to tell about the other young folks that Hal and Fernando work with.
Thats great for Fernando and Hal. I knew Hal back a few years ago when he was a member of our Rotary Club and I knew then that he wqould do well with his boxing gym. He is an inspirational type of guy and it shows in the success of Fernado. Way to go Hal. We miss seeing you at the Rotary Club.
