Doug Marshall & Pete Richardson Together?
While in Pittsville the other night I happened to notice Auctioneers Doug Marshall and Pete Richardson sitting at the same table and ultimately having drinks together. I said to myself, Self, what's up with that?
It turns out these guys were at the Fundraiser for a Maryland State Trooper's Son who is battling cancer and they were together to fight a bigger cause. I guess that would be like seeing Joe Albero and Bill Duvall sitting at the same table buying each other Shirley Temples, NOT! LOL

I really don't think Pete and Doug have any problems with each other, other than the fact they are both in the same business. Each of them hold good auctions where you can pick up some amazing things fairly priced.

It is called being professional. Something that everyone needs to keep in mind is that no matter what your issues may be, there are always others with bigger, more drastic issues.
I have always had the utmost respect for Doug and Christal Marshall. They are as real as you get.
Bravo 9:14!!! Not many people know how to be professional these days...
I've always found competition a good thing. Keeps you on your toes.
It's called friendly competition.
The neat thing about the auction business is the only time auctioneers truly compete against each other, is when they are talking to the same seller.
When you have something good to sell, people will come and bid.
well they are probably discussing how broke the delaware auctions are putting them. there 13% buyers premium and 6% omalley liberal family premium is making alot of people go to auctions in lincoln and harrington .where there is no buyers premium or sales tax.the sites might not be as nice as dougs but! oh well. that 19 dollars on every hundred bucks you give him and pete and the liberal family could be in your pocket .
I bought some coins at a Marshall auction a while back. I could not believe I had to pay sales tax on those items. A lot of states do not make you pay sales tax on Bullion items, coins, etc. Are they taxable items in Md?????
wow! old pete needs to have a salad while he is down there .livin large has come home to his ass i see.
yes alon 10.56, sales tax applies to the coins you bought. as also the hi buyers premium you paid .also both these guys charge the sellers a premium also. like to see the fees pete charges wicomico county for the auction he has for them in the spring of ever year.
