It's not often I watch TV but when I do it sickens me to see all the commercials. Today I have been subjected to more car sale commercials than I have ever seen in my life.
Tell them you want the Car Show Rebate! What Car Show? When we were manufacturing lamps last week, we were listening to 92.5 FM and were also subjected to what seemed like 20 million local car dealership commercials telling us now is the time to buy.
The ONLY thing I could see people doing is downsizing and quite frankly, that's what many friends of mine have been doing. One friend told me it would be cheaper for him to park his big 4x4 truck and only pull it out when needed and actually purchase a 4 cylinder truck to ride around in. He stated the payments would be cheaper than paying for the gas in the other truck and it makes sense.
So how and why Car Dealers think everyone is so desperate to go out and buy all these Lincoln's because they've never sold them for less, BS! I hope these SOB's all go belly up and the market really gets competitive, like the Real Estate Market!
Go to Lowes and don't make a payment for 6 months on anything over $250.00. Go to Johnny Janosiks and buy furniture and don't make a payment for one year! Join the Lincoln Signature Event and drive away without any money down, just sign on the dotted line.
Oh, don't forget to use Attorney Paul Wilber while he buys his $700,000.00 home in the same economy? Yeah, things that make you go, hmmmmmmm!

I now subscribe to XM radio, and don't have to listen to all those commercials.
It's worth it to me, as I have many more choices of things to listen to, and don't have to put up with mindless yap in the mornings as most stations around here think we want.
MAX 92.5 was not too bad in that department (at least when I still listened to them) but your observations about the abundance of car commercials only reinforces my decision to switch to satellite.
Did Paul pay cash too?
Since the Salisbury taxpayers bought Paul Wilber's house, I think it s only appropriate that the house be called the Capitol of Salisbury. If the house is not white, have it painted white immediately. The Mayor should be given the priviledge of holding meetings there when formality is necessary for dignitary visits.Does the maintenance department provide the yard maintenance and general household chores?
cars are not selling , the economy
is bad! get used to it! gas is not going to go down! supply and demand! keep driving your gas hogs , idiots!
I still stop to watch the Mecury commercials
joe , i agree with you 100%! car salesmen and realatards have been riding high the last 5 to 7 years .sure hope they stuck some of that commisson money back for a rainy day.prices of neither have still dropped enuff for the average person to even think about a purchase .like you said in a article a couple weeks ago about republicans and democrats i am wonderin if most salesman have a donkey in the shed.better rescue them to joe cause i imagine most of them are starving
As long as people respond to these annoying advertisements the dealers will continue to run them.
If you'll notice they aren't spending money in the DT like they used to, because those print ads don't work. There will come a time, sooner rather than later, when it will not be cost effective for these business people to spend their money with the TV stations.
As long as they're on, though, I wish the various spokespeople would quit yelling their message, as though it were hugely urgent and important. There will almost never ever be an emergency car purchase situation.
