In the public comment part please ask who bought those bonds that they issued for the special TIF subsidy for the old Salisbury Mall developer.
Boy they give the public a whopping 10 minutes for comments. Oh that's right Shanie and Gary say's they don't have to have public comments at all.

Great posts.
Ladder trucks cost that much. The one station 16 has now is about 30 yrs old. It has already had catastrophic failure with the ladder which caused it to collapse and crush a career fire fighters foot, possibly ending his career. It is time for a new one. 950,000 is on the cheaper end.

I can hardly believe that after gouging city taxpayers for an extravagant 10,000,000 firehouse that EVERYONE knows could have been constructed much much more inexpensively NOW we are going to have to fork up another million ? Jesus, WHO EXACTLY is getting rich off of us city residents???
If I live off of Camden on Somerset Avenue what fire company would respond if there was a fire? After sitting through the usual Mill Street back up the other day I got worried about firetrucks trying to get through from the new station locale. Thanks for any info
If you want proof dipshit just go to the web sites of the differnt companies and check out the prices. Hell call any rep and ask, they will be happy to provide you with prices

Why does anyone have to prove anything about the fire service to Joe Albero anyways?
Joe, as a former Vol Fire fighter from NJ I can tell you diesel rigs are expensive on their own. Add speciality equipment such as ladders, pumps, tools boxes, lights, sirens, electronics, etc, it brings the price up into the 800 - $900,000 range. They aren't cheap. Not defending salisbury, but I think maybe that some research on pricing could be done before bashing that. The city speds some big bucks on dumb things, but I don't think a fire truck is one of them.
