The rash of trash comments earlier this week persuaded me that I need to, in blogesee, "enable verfification." In plain English, comments from "non-members" will be reviewed before posting. The "member list" will be established as we progress.
All of this means that some delay in posting comments will be inevitable. That is a shame, but I have better things to do with my life than constantly monitoring this site for garbage. Read it here.
I need to put in my two cents. IN all the years I've been reading Duvafiles, I had never once seen him delete a comment. That is, up until recently. To be the first victim and not once using a curse word through me for a loop! All I had to do was mention on his Blog that Paul Wilbur was his COEIU and the next thing I knew my comment was GONE!
Too many people are catching on to the fact that Paul must be his man and Bill has done anything and everything to protect his site and Paul. I repeated this for a second time about a week later and once again the message was immediately pulled.
IMO, I've also notice a very different Bill Duvall lately. He's been very aggressive, (not his usual style) and to stick with the Doris thing for four days in a row, well, YAWN! I personally think we're seeing the beginning of the end of Duvafiles.

I personally don't see a problem with Bill deleting comments - after all you do the same when you feel comments are inappropriate.
I've remarked before that good comments should advance the discussion on what's been posted. A commenter doesn't have to agree with me (many don't) but they need to advance the discussion.
Of course, saying that, sometimes I leave the really idiotic ones up for a good laugh.
One small advantage that Blogger has is the word verification part. I generally moderate my comments 2-3 times a day but I have a good program that filters out the literally dozens of spam comments I get a day because I'm not a big fan of word verification. That program does the work for me, I just glance through the spam in case there's a good comment missed (it's happened only twice.)
But back to the point. I can understand if Bill's jealous about his trade secrets - after all, if his reliable sources come out into the light, would his website continue to be as effective as it has been?
Bill Duvall needs to get a stronger backbone.
HE chose to put up nasty posts about Doris and should have expected people to come to her defense. Because they did, because they challenged him, he's been removing comments like there's no tomorrow.
So much so, he's gotten to the point he's going to censorship? Here's what I'm doing Michael, (as you already know) I'm creating a new Blog Site that will hopefully be available next week. If you want to comment, you'll do so by registering directly with us. If you want to be one of those as_holes that wants to make nasty remarks or get on there and be the Mayor of a City and flat out lie to everyone, create your own Blog because these people will get shut out.
Like the polls, I'm sure some will get past this security not no hotmail accounts, yahoo and so forth and so on. You'll not only like the new design, you'll enjoy the fact that everyone commenting will be known by us with their personal e-mail address or they won't comment at all. Game over.
So y ou're slamming Duvafiles because he wants blog security.....and you're stating that youo're going to do the same thing. What's the difference?
IMO,
I honestly feel that if you're going to say you know something about some one or some thing, you need to show that you are willing to put a name behind it responsibly.
However, IF someone uses their REAL name and posts a comment on a Blog, (such as I did) "I" am accountable for what is said. Having Bill Duvall pull the comment is completely out of line, "unless he has something to hide."
The tides are changing only because Barrie Tilghman, Chief Webster, Jim Rapp and others are making things up on these Blogs, (it only makes sense if you think about it) and defaming people and or turning words around making it look like they're quoting people when in fact they're changing things to look like the original person said something they didn't.
For those reasons, Blogs need to be more responsible. I'm not at all saying we should stop all that is being said on the Blogs. However, we have a responsibility, (IMO) to make sure the information you are seeing is responsible. We cannot confirm it but if someone blatantly lies and attacks someone, it must be pulled.
Use any name you want, I really don't care. But when you get on my new Site, you will have registered with a qualified and legitimate e-mail address in which you could be held accountable.
You know what? It will simply keep people like you off the Blogs and as far as I'm concerned, more power to the Blogs. Barrie will learn that within a year and a half from now, unless she creates her own Blog Site that brings in thousands of people per day she can go after, she's going to realize her popularity is just as high in rankings as Mike Dunn's. This go around Barrie Tilghman will not even consider running again for Office and you can mark my words on that. She's toast and so are her games.

??? What the heck did I do? I just asked a question. Pardon the heck out of me! Dude- Calm down. Seriously, you're going to give yourself a stroke.
caughtit,
Cut the BS. I've seen enough of your attacks on the Blogs, Bite Me.
You remind me of Eddie Haskle on Leave It To Beaver, Idiot.
Besides, wouldn't you just enjoy knowing Joe Albero had a stroke. I never sweat the small stuff.
This is exactly what I mean. How many agree about the Eddie Haskle thing? Posted on Duvafiles.

What's up with Joe attacking you?

Again....I am asking a question. I truly don't know why you're so defensive about everything.
Thank You Mrs. Cleaver.
My, you're looking mighty fine today Mrs. Cleaver. Why no, Wallace and I have never seen anyone smoking a cigarette before Mrs. Cleaver.
