One Camden Robber Is In Custody, One Still On The Loose.

An African-American male suspect seen by neighbor on Loblolly across street from one house already robbed. Alarm was going off. She called county sheriffs, who while there, got call that suspect was spotted on Twin Tree at Fountain.I drove over to Twin Tree area to keep an eye out and to be sure they knew who might be able to sight I.D. them about houses hit on Pinehurst, elsewhere on Loblolly and on Elberta. I notified the Loblolly homeowner, who is a friend so she could take appropriate action.

While out in my car, saw the Sheriff's men had overtaken the suspect and were talking with him.Overheard deputies telling male they'd "do what they could, no promises" if he cooperates and I heard suspect talking about the Causasian male, still believed to be in the neighborhood on bicycle. Also heard them tell male they had they he was going to ride with them and show them every house he hit.And that is what they are doing right this minute!

Be on the lookout today for tall, thin Causasian male, white Maryland Terps sweatshirt with blue jeans on a bicycle, still believed to be in the neighborhood per my talk with SPD officers King and one other officer. Please call your neighbors who don't have email. Thanks to all, especially the alert neighbors making good observations. Again, please keep an eye out for the suspect still at large. I feel very good that we will bring this episode to a close with law enforcement helping neighbors end this pair's spree.

Update,

Tim, Just a follow up to our phone conversation. One arrest has just been made at 1200 today for the burglaries in the area. A second suspect is out there and is a juvenile, however it is believed there will be information as to his identity shortly. As is the case with all juveniles we cannot release the names. Please tell everyone to remain vigilant.
