Bingo Benefit Held At Pittsville Fire Department

Even though the FOP was holding a big event of its own last night in Ocean City, Mike Lewis was asked to attend and it was a part of his schedule after the Pittsville Town Meeting tonight.

That was until we learned there was a benefit being held at the Pittsville Fire Department for a wonderful 9 year old young man named Blaine Cheeseman who lives in Pittsville. Blaine has been undergoing treatments for bone cancer over the past 5 months and had shown up just before we arrived after just receiving treatments. He was a bit tired but very grateful for the huge crowd there.

Mike introduced all of us and completely dismissed any thought of heading into Ocean City so we could spend time and money participating in a far more worthy cause, (IMO). Pittsville may not have the greatest name for a Town but let me assure you, the Folks living there sure do make up the difference! I have said it for many, many years, Pittsville is the best sleeper Town on the entire Eastern Shore!
