Salisbury Police Department Press Releases


On September 22, 2009 at approximately 8:50 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of Fitzwater St. and heard what was believed to be multiple gunshots originating in the area of Second Street. The officer responded to the source of the gunshots and observed a vehicle leaving the scene at a high rate of speed. The officer pursued the vehicle onto Marine Road, where the vehicle was abandoned and the suspects fled from the vehicle on foot. Efforts by the responding officers to locate the suspects, and an effort by a K-9 provided by the Wicomico County Sheriffs Office were negative. Three (3) handguns were located in the area of the abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was reported stolen from the Waterside Apartments. The officers met with two (2) victims of the shooting on Second Street. The first victim reported hearing the gunshots and found that the window to her vehicle had been shattered. The second victim also heard the gunshots and found that one (1) projectile had penetrated the siding of her front porch. There were no injuries. This investigation is continuing.

On September 21, 2009 at approximately 7:00 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Boscovs Department Store at the Centre at Salisbury for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised that the below listed suspect had been observed by store employees taking cologne from the store without payment. The cologne was recovered and returned to the store.

ARRESTED: Dashon Tabari Ennals, 19 years of age Hurlock, Maryland

CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900033637

On September 22, 2009 at approximately 9:22 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of North Salisbury Boulevard and observed a vehicle driven by the below listed suspect driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped and the suspect was found to be driving on a suspended license and with expired registration. The suspect was placed under arrest and a search of the vehicle incident to arrest revealed a baggie containing suspected cocaine under the seat.

ARRESTED: Roger Sheridan Joudrey, Jr. 50 years of age Parsonsburg, Maryland

CHARGES:
Possession of cocaine
Numerous motor vehicle violations

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900033700
