Marylanders Move in Droves to Virginia
Maryland lost the most residents in the mid-Atlantic between 2007 and 2010 — and many of them moved to Virginia, according to a study released Tuesday.
Almost 40,000 Marylanders crossed the Potomac River for new homes in Virginia, taking $2.17 billion with them, according to the Internal Revenue Service data used in the study conducted by Change Maryland, a nonpartisan group advocating for less state spending and lower taxes.
The high level of loss may reflect people’s dissatisfaction with Maryland’s tax policy, said Jim Pettit, spokesman for Change Maryland.
Martin O’Malley, Bob McDonnell Square Off
Govs. Martin O’Malley (D-Md.) and Bob McDonnell (R-Va.) continued their long-running war of words Friday morning, battling over who had the better strategy for creating jobs.
As leaders of neighboring states and as the heads of the Democratic Governors Association and Republican Governors Association, McDonnell and O’Malley have criticized each other in the past. Still, the duo has to work together on other issues, including improving Washington, D.C.’s Metro system and cleaning up the Chesapeake Bay.
O’Malley started things off on CNN’s “Starting Point” by saying he was happy McDonnell wasn’t completely ruling out accepting money from the federal government to expand Medicaid as part of President Barack Obama’s health care reform law.

USDA Moves to End Questionable Food Stamp Ads After Criticism
The Department of Agriculture moved Friday to "cease future
production" of advertisements that encourage people to go on food
stamps, FoxNews.com has learned, following criticism over what was
described as an "aggressive" campaign to grow enrollment.
The department had come under fire for a 10-part series of Spanish-language "novelas" that trumpeted the benefits of the food stamp program. The radio ads were produced in 2008, but continued to be available for use.
After those ads drew scrutiny, though, the USDA removed them from its website.

Some 450,000 Yahoo users’ email addresses and passwords have been
leaked because of a security breach, the company confirmed Thursday.
Still, it added that just a small fraction of the stolen passwords were
valid.
The company said in a statement that an “old file” from the Yahoo Contributor Network was compromised Wednesday. Among the stolen emails and passwords were many from Yahoo’s own email service along with those of other companies. The Yahoo Contributor Network is a content-sharing platform.

U.S. Border Patrol to eliminate nine interior stations across the country
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) plans to deactivate nine interior border
patrol stations to put more focus and resources in areas closer to actual borders.
Border stations in California, Montana, Idaho and six stations in Texas will be deactivated six months after Congress is notified. The closures will affect 48 border patrol members, who will be re-located to nearby stations or sectors.
"To accomplish its mission more efficiently and use its personnel more effectively, CBP has increasingly concentrated its resources in the immediate border areas," Michael Fisher, chief of CBP's U.S. Border Patrol, said in a memo to chief patrol agents and division chiefs obtained by Federal News Radio.

Paramedics Turn to Expired Drugs Due to Shortages
When paramedics ran out of a critical drug used to treat irregular
heartbeats, the Bend Fire Department in Central Oregon dug into its
stash of expired medications, loaded up the trucks and kept treating
patients.
Paramedics reported asking some of those facing medical emergencies: "Is it OK if we use this expired drug?"
Emergency responders in various jurisdictions have reported turning to last resort practices as they struggle to deal with a shortage of drug supplies created by manufacturing delays and industry changes. Some are injecting expired medications or substituting alternatives. Others are simply going without.

Levin: Welfare Game Has Become 'How Do We Steal From Our Fellow Citizens?'
Last night, radio host Mark Levin declared, “The game now is ‘How do we steal from our fellow citizens?’”
Levin was referring to the growing welfare state in America:
“It’s not just the government. There’s a significant percentage of people in this country that we are battling now, who are demanding that you pay them so they can have a different lifestyle. Not because they’re needy, not because they’re poor, not because they’re handicapped. No. They want you to take care of them.

Harry Reid on Team USA’s Chinese-Made Olympic Uniforms: ‘Put Them in a Big Pile & Burn Them’
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is so disgusted that the
U.S. Olympic athletes will be wearing uniforms made in China that he
thinks the outfits should be burned.
“I am so upset,” the Nevada Democrat told reporters Thursday. “I think the Olympic Committee should be ashamed of themselves. I think they should be embarrassed. I think they should take all the uniforms and put them in a big pile and burn them and start all over again.”

Viral Video: Shark Stealing Woman’s First Catch Gets Nearly 2 Million Views in 2 Days
Sarah Brame posted a video on YouTube on July 10 of herself reeling
in her first fish. The struggle between man (or woman) and fish can been
an exciting ordeal. Brame’s fiance, William Moore, must be glad he was
filming as it turned out to be no ordinary catch.
As Brame was bringing in the fish, it was stolen — by a bull shark.
The theft occurred right before the lunker was netted, shocking Brame and others on the dock in South Carolina. Since its posting on Tuesday, the video has been covered by dozens of media outlets and now has more than 1.8 million hits on YouTube.

Texas Woman Pleads Guilty to Battering 2-year-old Daughter and Gluing Her Hands to Wall
A Texas woman pleaded guilty Thursday to injuring her 2-year-old
daughter, admitting she battered the child and glued the tot's hands to a
wall, the Dallas Morning News reported on Thursday.
Siblings of the girl had told investigators that Elizabeth Escalona, 23, also had repeatedly kicked young Joselyn in the stomach and hit her with various objects, including a jug of milk, a belt and a shoe, police records obtained by the newspaper show.
The mom's impatience over Joselyn's potty training apparently set her off, cops believe.

Romney Demands Apology For Obama Campaign's 'Felon' Lie
This morning, the Obama team, springboarding from mainstream media coverage it had likely astroturfed, said that Mitt Romney was either a “felon” or a liar. Its mainstream media lackeys quickly played it up. And this morning, the Obama team was completely debunked by members of its own media, who were shamed into telling the truth by an enraged New Media. Now, the Romney campaign is calling for an apology from the Obama campaign and a retraction from the Boston Globe.
“President Obama’s campaign hit a new low today when one of its senior advisers made a reckless and unsubstantiated charge to reporters about Mitt Romney that was so over the top that it calls into question the integrity of their entire campaign,” said Matt Rhoades, Campaign Manager of Romney For President. “President Obama ought to apologize for the out-of-control behavior of his staff, which demeans the office he holds. Campaigns are supposed to be hard fought, but statements like those made by Stephanie Cutter belittle the process and the candidate on whose behalf she works.”

32 Reasons Why We Need To End The War On Drugs
The global war on drugs began in 1961, when the UN Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs was established in order to create a "drug-free world."
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime puts out an annual "World Drug Report" wherein they examine trends in drug use and production. However, the report never cares to assess the costs created by the war on drugs itself, which are the real problem to begin with.

Mayor Ireton Pulls Another Fast One
Just Announced, local business people will be holding some sort of pep rally for Mayor Ireton's Downtown Plan tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM.
Here's the problem. Letting the Council know about such an event at the 11th hour, especially on a weekend, means the odds of a Council Member or even a potential candidate the opportunity to attend becomes a very slight chance.
However, I'm confident Mayor Ireton will have all of the local Media there to attend and that's exactly what he wants. You can expect many more of these pop up events to happen down the road as this Mayor can't run a race on honesty or fairness.
One thing is for sure, there won't be many people there, or shall I say new faces. IF the business people in Salisbury want to buy into Ireton's corporate welfare, subsodized housing project, let them. Their property values will instantly decrease and they'll either go out of business or they'll be relocating to an area not so crushed with crime.
The cool part about the timing of this event, I won't be getting a late night call because the Mayor will have to be up bright and early tomorrow morning for this event.

Red-light Cameras Deactivated in Westminster
WESTMINSTER, Md. - At
one intersection in Westminster where there was a red-light camera
there were more rear-end collisions than red-light collisions.
So few drivers were running red lights and getting tickets that the city is losing money.
In March in 2010, the city of Westminster installed five red-light cameras.
The only red-light camera in Westminster that's still up and running is at Route 97 and Nursery Road. Police said it's still needed there.

Dog Found: UPDATE
We Are At A Turning Point
Presently in America, nearly half of all households receive either a salary or substantial benefits from the government. Presently in America, nearly half of all adults pay no federal income taxes. Presently in America, the half that pay no income taxes receive the bulk of their income courtesy of the government, but ultimately from the half that do. This money is extracted involuntarily from the paying half by a permanent bureaucracy that extracts and gives away more each year no matter who is running the government. The recipients of these transfer payments rely upon them for subsistence, so they have a vested financial interest in sending to Washington those who will continue to take your money and give it to them.
It is no wonder that we are now saddled with the micromanagement of health care by the same bureaucratic mindset that mismanages the Post Office and everything else the federal government runs. It should not be surprising to know that presently in America, half of the people actually want the government to take care of their needs. The same was the case under Communist regimes, but here those folks vote.
Hence, we have laws that force us to be charitable to those whom the government designates as worthy of our charity, that limit the amount of salt that restaurants can put into our food, that permit the government to watch us on street corners and subways and in the lobbies of buildings, that let the president fight wars of opportunity, that permit the Federal Reserve to print money with no value and inflate prices and destroy savings, that allow the government to listen to us on our cellphones and use those phones to follow us wherever we go, and, according to CIA Director David Petraeus, that let the government anticipate our movements inside our homes.

Response To A Comment
Someone sent in a comment earlier stating, why are you attacking Jim Ireton. What has he ever said about you.
In response to that question I'd like to offer the following...
"The farce that goes on in his head"
"His mental state"
"Tea Party induced constitutional constructionist"
"Tea Party tactics"
"Anti Semitic"
"Anti Women"
"Racist"
"Anti immigrant"
"Homophobe"
These are just some examples of what Mayor Jim Ireton called me in just ONE radio interview, ALL of which are lies. You have to seriously wonder the mind set of an individual that would make such remarks, especially after that person had just been handed a defamation lawsuit a few hours BEFORE this interview. Does he care about the taxpayers? Does he respect his position as a Mayor?
You have to remember, Jim Ireton, (when he needed me) would send Salisbury News information to promote whatever event he wanted well attended. If you'll recall some time ago I confronted the Mayor and asked him why we weren't on the Press Release list any more. His response was, "You play nice and you'll get it". Life just doesn't work like that, unless your WMDT, WBOC or the Daily Times. In my opinion it's coercion. You do things my way and I'll keep you in business. If you don't, we'll not let you play in the sandbox.
Mayor Ireton is an elected public official. That means ANYTHING that is done by his Office is public information. It doesn't matter if your Joe Citizen, Blogger or Reporter, every one is invited and should be afforded the opportunity to disseminate such information. If you'll recall, soon after Jim was elected, Chief Webster wanted to hold a Press Conference at the Police Station. Mayor Ireton insisted to Chief Webster that I be allowed to attend. In the past, Webster would hold the Press Conference INSIDE the building and tell me I was not allowed in. This time around, Webster held it in the parking lot OUTSIDE the building in what felt like a 100 degree day. I was worthy of Press then but God Forbid we disagree with Mr. Ireton, we don't "play nice" enough for him and we were cut off.
He showed, (or should I say) he made an example out of me to the rest of the Press and IF they didn't "play nice" the same would happen to them. Hence, look at the one sided news your getting from the Mayors Office in the Press.
What Salisbury News delivers, (to some) is not the most liked news and information, hence the photo today of a Sheriff's Deputy vehicle parked in a handicap parking space. But you have to ask yourself, would you ever see such an image in the Daily Times or on WBOC or WMDT? The answer is no. The reason, they don't want to get cut off. They don't want to be a red flag every time they drive down the road.
Its unfortunate we have to live in such a good old boy environment where you wash my back, I'll wash yours. Doing what we do is not at all easy. However, what we deliver is the TRUTH.
Now, IF I wanted to call Mayor Ireton names, well, I can think of quite a few of them that instantly come to mind, yet I have not. Last week when I wrote an article stating you have to wonder who spends more time in Delaware, me or Jim Ireton. I stated I spend time visiting my Wife and Grandson in Delmar while Ireton spends time in Rehoboth. I got TWO almost instant calls after that article went up saying, you can't call Ireton gay. I replied, I DID NOTHING OF THE SORT! I insisted they read the article again and they said, well, you mentioned Rehoboth. I replied, yeah, OK, what's the problem with that. They said that it IMPLIES it. I replied, REALLY, so your telling me EVERY ONE who visits Rehoboth is gay?????
THIS is the kind of mind set we're living in today. Politicians seem to TWIST things to make it look as if we're attacking them. Mayor Ireton told me in the past his Family owns a home in Rehoboth. He also told me he goes there often. It was Mayor Ireton who tried to IMPLY that I live in Delaware and that I am not a Salisbury resident, this is untrue. NOT ONCE have I received a comment telling me that my challenge to Mr. Ireton is not true. They can't because that would be a lie.
I also know that Councilwoman Debbie Campbell owns property on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Is she not allowed to spend time there? County Executive Rick Pollitt and his Family own beach front property in Ocean City, is he not allowed to go there? Mayor Ireton has every right to visit their property in Rehoboth and I would never challenge that. I also would NEVER call him the names he has so distastefully called me. I am NOT a member of the Tea Party nor have I ever been. I have COVERED their events, just as I have attended MANY democratic events including their crab feasts in which Ireton held up the "I'm Not A Republican" sign. As you can tell, I publish Governor O'Malley's press release on a daily basis being fair and balanced and keeping our readers updated and educated.
I personally worried about Mayor Ireton's condition after he didn't show up for a meeting and did what we thought was the right thing to do by checking up on him. Mayor Ireton never returned my calls or text messages, yet he went on to say I "lied" to my readers because I never checked my sources. Well Ladies & Gentlemen, JIM IRETON WAS MY SOURCE. Again, he never returned the calls or text messages, yet he knew from the messages I left something was seriously wrong. The next thing we all knew here came an alleged spoof phone call. "I have no malice towards the reporter who was in the room at the time" WHAT ROOM JIM?
Nevertheless, the original commenter needs to re think his question. I am not out there calling Jim Ireton names. It's quite the contrary.

Boykin, addressing a packed house at a synagogue today in Stoughton, Mass., said, “There is a threat to this country from Shariah and the Muslim Brotherhood,” noting the Muslim Brotherhood has had a presence in the U.S. since at least 1962.
“The new Egyptian president, Mohamed Morsi, said he joined the Muslim Brotherhood in 1978 while he was in the United States of America. People who say that the Muslim Brotherhood is not in America are not dealing in reality,” Boykin said.

Dagsboro, DE- A Delaware State Police K9 apprehended a Dagsboro man after he resisted arrest.
The incident occurred Wednesday evening around 5:00 p.m. as troopers were called to a residence at the 30000 block of Molly Field Road west of Dagsboro for a burglary complaint. Troopers made contact with a 61 year old male victim who stated he had two shotguns stolen from his shed. The victim was not aware of this until he was contacted by an Officer from Blades Police Department informing him that Tucumma Y. Griffin was in possession of them. The victim informed the troopers that Griffin was an ex-boyfriend of his daughter and had been living in the woods behind his house. Troopers began searching the wooded area and were unable to locate Griffin and departed the area.
Information was received from Blades P.D. that Tucumma Griffin was stopped for a traffic violation on July 7, 2012 and gave a false name. A search conducted by the officer yielded a 12 gauge shotgun, but a computer check of the name that was given did not warrant the gun to be seized and the gun did not come back stolen. The vehicle was then towed and Griffin was released with a traffic citation under the false name.
Troopers were called back to the residence on Molly Field Road later Wednesday evening when the victim had confronted Griffin in his back yard. The victim informed the troopers that Griffin had run back into the woods. A Delaware State Police Helicopter (Trooper 2) along with a State Police K9 "Focus" and officers from Millsboro Police Department responded to the area to assist with searching for the suspect. “Focus” was able to track the suspect to a wooded area behind a house located near US 113 and when Griffin failed to respond to the K9 handlers numerous requests to surrender, Focus was sent in to apprehend him.
Tucumma Griffin was then taken into custody and transported to Beebe Hospital where he was treated for bite wounds and released. He was transported back to Troop 4 in Georgetown where he was arrested on the above listed charges. He was arraigned at JP3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $7,000.00 secured bond.
Griffin currently has warrants for his arrest out of Blades P.D. Media may contact Blades P.D. about the incident and nature of the warrants directly.

Old Navy Recalls Toddler Shoes
The U.S. Consumer
Product Safety Commission and Old Navy on Thursday announced a voluntary
recall of Old Navy Toddler Girl Aqua Socks.
Official said the product is hazardous because the style of aqua socks have less traction when worn on wet or smooth surfaces such as hardwood or tile, creating a slip and fall hazard. Two customers reported falls with minor injuries that did not require medical attention.

Obama's Immigration Machinations
Not for a moment do I buy that President Obama has suddenly grasped the plight of illegal immigrant children. For one, he is on record declaring that the law ties his hands about the matter – that he cannot act unilaterally, or so he said in a widely available video from just a year or so ago. Somehow this is supposed to have changed and now his sense of justice, fairness and benevolence has kicked in and led him to reverse himself. (I thought it was Mitt Romney who wobbled on public policy matters!) No.
For Mr. Obama, what would be the best clue to his approach to these matters is his repeated profession of pragmatism. Now, in this case pragmatism would direct him to do whatever will improve his chance for reelection. If the pragmatism had to do with his having found a suitable means to help all those young illegal immigrants to finally get a solid foothold in the country they have come to consider their own, this executive decision could have been made many moons ago. Indeed, those young men and women could have been moved out of limbo a long time ago by Mr. Obama. There was no administrative reason for him to wait until now if there is none now.
The only sensible explanation is that the upcoming presidential contest is getting tighter than Obama & Co. had anticipated so now it's a good tactic for him to play to a pretty strong special interest group in the United States, namely, Latinos and others whose goals involve becoming American citizens any way they can and all those who sympathize with them. That is a large chunk of voters! (I am one of those immigrants who had to jump through all the legal loops in order to become naturalized.)

USPS Won't Get Help Any Time Soon
Fat chance Congress will pass a bill this summer to help the Postal Service. House leaders have decided to postpone a vote despite protests from the agency and the Senate. The House Oversight Committee has approved legislation that would create a panel. It would have the power to reshape the Postal Service's network, like the Base Realignment and Closure Commission does for the military. The Postal Service is supposed to pay $5.5 billion to the Treasury in August for pension costs. Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) said the agency will have to default in the absence of a law granting a reprieve.
Justice Department Searching For Flaws
The Justice Department and the FBI will review thousands of criminal convictions going back more than 10 years. They're hunting for flawed laboratory analysis of hair samples. Officials are looking at cases where hair analysis resulted in a conviction. In April, a series of Washington Post stories detailed how flawed lab work led to the overturning of two convictions. Justice is partnering with the Innocence Project, a private group, to provide a third-party assessment of the review. The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers is also joining the effort.
UPDATE: Daily Times Refuses To Publish Debbie Campbell & Times Spies Letter Online
In today's Daily Times print edition the paper published Debbie Campbell and Tim Spies letter. However, they have refused to publish it on line in fear too many people would comment negatively on the article.
Correct me if I'm wrong but is Greg Bassett really fulfilling his promise to his viewers? While some might say at least it's in their print edition, we would say, that's the lowest volume of traffic they have.
The people who have known for years that the Daily Times has NOT been fair and balanced gave up their subscriptions years ago. The Daily Times knows that those very same people aren't stupid, they're viewing what they THINK is published in the paper on line.
SO, IF you really want the news your going to have to pay for it no matter what.

The Board of Public Works approved Wednesday the State Police’s purchase of a $7.1 million advanced 911 system which could allow citizens to call, text or even tweet for help. The State Police, which handles about 3% of the state’s crime calls, will not only be on the cutting-edge of technology, they’ll have, well, technology in the 21 barracks where 911 calls are answered on standard telephones.

How Many Millions Of Cellphones Are Police Watching?
In response to a congressional inquiry [1], mobile phone companies on Monday finally disclosed just how many times they’ve handed over users’ cellphone data to the FBI and other law enforcement agencies. By the New York Times’ count [2], cellphone companies responded to 1.3 million demands for subscribers’ information last year from law enforcement. Many of the records, such as location data, don’t require search warrants or much court oversight.
Both police and cell service providers had long resisted releasing details on the scope of cellphone surveillance. But the new disclosures from cellphone companies still leave a slew of unanswered questions. Here’s what we have yet to learn.
So more than a million people had their cellphone records picked up law enforcement surveillance?
Actually, it’s probably far more than that, but we can’t know for sure.
While the Times calculated the number of overall requests from law enforcement, each of those requests could cover more than one person.

LIFE, LIBERTY, PROPERTY
No one can argue that our daily fight is against an out of control federal government. This is just a short reminder of what we are fighting FOR. I listen to the impassioned arguments of a few on this site that we need to vote for Obomney #2, because he is not Obomney #1. He will give free shit to different people is the only difference I see.
For those that would vote for Obomney #2, I would remind them that the Federal Government has but 3 jobs. To protect our Life, Liberty, and Property. That’s it. Obomney #2 has ZERO interest in doing any of these 3 things.
The Bill of Rights is the meat of the Constitution, the rest is window dressing. The following is what the Bill of Rights was written to protect, by amendment. I will not type out the amendments, because you should already know them, and if you do not, you are longggg past due in opening a Constitution.
1. Liberty
2. Life, Property

7. Property

That’s it. It’s just that simple. Now just for fun, let’s look at the rest of the Amendments to see if our Federal Government has gotten away from their created purpose over time…

GOP Pressing on With Contraception Lawsuit
Seven states trying to block part of the federal health care law
that requires contraception coverage will continue with their lawsuit
despite last month's U.S. Supreme Court ruling that upheld most of the
law, according to Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning, who is leading
the case.
The federal lawsuit is challenging a rule that requires contraception coverage in health care plans _ including for employees of church-affiliated hospitals, schools and outreach programs. The suit argues that the rule violates the rights of employers that object to the use of contraceptives, sterilization and abortion-inducing drugs.

HOME SALES TAX
I thought you might find this interesting, -- maybe even SICKENING!
The National Association of Realtors is all over this and working to get it repealed, -- before it takes effect. But, I am very pleased we aren't the only ones who know about this ploy to steal billions from unsuspecting homeowners. How many realtors do you think will vote Democratic in 2012?
Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it? That's $3,800 on a $100,000 home, etc. When did this happen? It's in the health care bill, -- and it goes into effect in 2013. Why 2013? Could it be so that it doesn't come to light until after the 2012 elections? So, this is "change you can believe in?"
Under the new health care bill all real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% sales tax. Now you tell me, just what the hell does real estate tax have to do with your healthcare?
If you sell a $400,000 home, there will be a $15,200 tax. This bill is set to screw the retiring generation, -- who often downsize their homes. Does this make your November, 2012 vote more important?
Oh, you weren't aware that this was in the ObamaCare bill? Guess what; you aren't alone! There are more than a few members of Congress that weren't aware of it either.

Its now 7 days later, the renters are gone, house condemned and this trash still sits. Both parties have been by the house numerous times and the trash still sits 7 days later.. Why does this house and management company not have to abide my city rules? We have enough problems with the students and their trash and destruction no less slum Land lording and the city giving these companies a pass regarding their responsibilities. 2 Md. State Senators Urge Big Fines for Pepco, BGE
Two Maryland state senators urged state regulators on Thursday
to fine Pepco and Baltimore Gas and Electric more than $100 million each for the
long power outages residents suffered during and after a powerful summer storm
that swept across the state in late June.
Sen. Brian Frosh, D-Montgomery, and Sen. James Rosapepe, D-Prince George's, wrote the Public Service Commission that the money could be used to create a "Surge Reserve" fund to pay for additional trained workers to help restore power faster. The senators also have launched a web-based petition where consumers can add their names supporting the idea. There a public petition one for Pepco customers and one for BGE customers.

Clover Conditioning
It is not enough that we break the heretic. We must make him one of us. Words to that effect, as spoken by the character O’Brien to Winston Smith in 1984. Or the off-duty cop running the Court-Community Corrections Program Driver Improvement course I attend this past Saturday. All eight hours’ worth.
I played the part of a good Clover for an entire Saturday – pretending to agree (obligatory) with every jot and tittle of “safety” drivel – in order to disappear a ticket I got a few months prior. Yes, even when you carry a V1 – the finest pork-detector on the market – you are not invincible. Sometimes, it’s just not your day. And then, it’s your turn. A guy in a big SUV pulled out right in front of my car, forcing me to brake hard to avoid him. Annoyed, I broke left and passed the SUV. At just that moment, Officer Stand and Deliver happened to be coming out of a nearby side street. He was perfectly positioned to see me exceed the ridiculous 35 MPH speed limit (50 yards behind me, this same stretch of road is posted 45 and of course traffic is moving closer to 50) as I maneuvered around the obese SmooVee. He painted me with his instant-on and though the V1 chirped furiously, it was already too late. Fifteen minutes later, I had a piece of payin’ paper. My first one in six years.

Even Washington D.C. Insiders Admit Eric Holder Is A Bankster Puppet
You know it’s bad when even Washington D.C. insiders (and Democrats to boot) cringe at the cruel joke that the Department of Injustice has become under Eric “Fast and Furious” Holder. Look, we all know that in any government there is going to be some level of corruption, but when the country’s chief law enforcement officer is so obviously a lying crook and he stays in his position you know the ship is about to sink. Truly a great job by Richard Eskow for the Huffington Post on this one.
Key Quotes:
More and more Washington insiders are asking a question that was considered off-limits in the nation’s capital just a few months ago: Who, exactly, is Attorney General Eric Holder representing? As scandal after scandal erupts on Wall Street, involving everything from global lending manipulation to cocaine and prostitution, more and more people are worrying about Holder’s seeming inaction — or worse — in the face of mounting evidence.
The problem isn’t a shortage of scandalous stories. We’ve seen a lot of those. What we haven’t seen, at least here in the United States, is a single indictment of a senior Wall Street banker from the United States Department of Justice. And that’s what has these political insiders concerned.

The problem isn’t a shortage of scandalous stories. We’ve seen a lot of those. What we haven’t seen, at least here in the United States, is a single indictment of a senior Wall Street banker from the United States Department of Justice. And that’s what has these political insiders concerned.

State Reverses Flag Ban at Mass. Housing Complex
The state on Thursday stepped in to reverse a decision by a
Massachusetts town's housing authority that barred residents from flying
U.S. flags outside their homes.
"We were not aware of this decision when it was made, and it was a mistake that is being corrected immediately," Department of Housing and Community Development spokesman Jason Lefferts said in a statement. "(The agency's) policy for local housing authorities includes not allowing displays of private materials in public areas. This does not extend to respectful and safe displays of the American flag."

UPDATE: Counterfeit Currency Arrests
On July 9, 2012, Ocean City Police investigators received information from the Fruitland, Maryland Police Department, in reference to the arrest of two adult male suspects for the possession and passing of counterfeit currency.
Fruitland detectives were aware that the OCPD was also investigating a rash of counterfeit currency crimes and believed the suspects in their custody may be involved in the Ocean City cases as well.
Based in the preliminary information provided by the Fruitland Police, OCPD investigators were able to determine that the two persons arrested in Fruitland, were in-fact suspects who were captured on surveillance cameras passing counterfeit currency in Ocean City during the weekend of July 6, 2012.
The two subjects arrested and charged by the Fruitland Police Department were identified as: Deontrae Lamar Bailey, 19, from Pocomoke, MD and Quincy Lene Williams, 21, of Norfolk, VA.
The subsequent investigation revealed the two subjects arrested by police passed counterfeit U.S. Currency in Fruitland, Ocean City, Princess Anne, and Pocomoke. A joint investigation was initiated by all these police departments, including the United States Secret Service.
During the investigation, area police have so far recovered several thousand dollars in counterfeit U.S. Currency which has been linked to these two suspects. Several regional Banks are still locating counterfeit U.S. Currency from deposits of local merchants.
Both Willams and Bailey have been charged by the OCPD with:
■4 counts of Theft under $100 (misdemeanor)
■2 counts of Attempted Theft under $100 (misdemeanor)
■1 count Manufacturing Counterfeit Currency (Felony)
■1 count Conspiracy to Manufacture Counterfeit Currency (misdemeanor)
■1 count of Conspiracy to Issue or Possess Currency (misdemeanor)
■1 count of Conspiracy to commit theft (misdemeanor)
■2 counts Possession of Forged Currency (misdemeanor)
Both Williams and Bailey are being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
The Ocean City Police Department is warning residents, business owners and employees to be on the lookout for counterfeit currency.
Ocean City Police are asking anyone with information about this incident, or the suspects involved, to please contact the Ocean City Police Department at 410.723.6600.
In addition Ocean City Police are encouraging citizens to closely examine currency by looking carefully at the money you receive. Citizens should be aware of the security features located on currency. The three main security features located on bills are: color-shifting inks on the number, security threads, which display the denomination of the currency imbedded in the bill and the watermark of the main image on the face of the bill located on the right side of note.
Ocean City Police Department is offering these tips to detect suspicious or counterfeit currency:
■The genuine portrait appears lifelike and stands out distinctly from the background. The counterfeit portrait is usually lifeless and flat. Details merge into the background, which is often too dark or mottled.
■On a genuine bill, the saw-tooth points of the Federal Reserve and Treasury seals are clear, distinct and sharp. The counterfeit seals may have uneven, blunt or broken saw-tooth points.
■Genuine serial numbers have a distinctive style and are evenly spaced. The serial numbers are printed in the same ink color as the Treasury Seal. On a counterfeit, the serial numbers may differ in color or shade of ink from the Treasury seal. The numbers may not be uniformly spaced or aligned.
Ocean City Police are asking that residents and businesses contact the department if you locate suspicious currency. In addition, the department reminds businesses and community groups that a crime prevention officer is available to conduct counterfeit awareness presentations upon appointment through the Public Affairs Office.

A Comment Worthy Of A Post 7-13-12
I guess if the Salisbury situation is going to be discussed we may as well talk about the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office. The county is so broke they have three rookies in the academy. Why are no officers from other depts. applying ??? Mike Lewis stepped three commanders up a rank. Why?? Then hired a Trooper at Sergeants pay. WTF is going on. Where did this Sgts. position come from in terms of funding ? Also as a previous poster stated he just told all of his troops that tested for rank I have no faith or loyality to you. Also at what cost to the county was this testing process. Why even have it if you do not intend to use it. Come on Mike what the hell has happend to you or should I say are you even running the department. Joe good luck finding Mike for a comment he is away teaching on the county dime again I am told. Duncan and Lewis need to go. Sheriff's should be limited to two terms period.
