U.S. adults continue to put on the pounds. New data show that nearly 40 percent of them were obese in 2015 and 2016, a sharp increase from a decade earlier, federal health officials reported Friday.
The prevalence of severe obesity in U.S. adults is also rising, heightening their risks of developing heart disease, diabetes and various cancers. According to the latest data, published Friday in JAMA, 7.7 percent of U.S. adults were severely obese in the same period.
Public health experts said that they were alarmed by the continuing rise in obesity among adults and by the fact that efforts to educate people about the health risks of a poor diet do not seem to be working.
While the latest survey data do not explain why Americans continue to get heavier, nutritionists and other experts cite lifestyle, genetics and, most importantly, a poor diet as factors. U.S. fast-food sales rose 22.7 percent from 2012-2017, according to Euromonitor, while packaged-food sales rose 8.8 percent.

U.S. Lawmakers Want China’s Confucius Institutes to Register as Foreign Agents
Three U.S. Republican lawmakers said on Wednesday they wanted China's Confucius Institute cultural centers in the United States to register as foreign agents, and to require all U.S. universities to disclose major gifts from foreign sources.
Run by the Chinese government, the Confucius Institutes offer language and cultural programs at more than 100 U.S. colleges and universities. They have been criticized as an attempt by Beijing to influence U.S. higher education.
Senators Marco Rubio and Tom Cotton, and Representative Joe Wilson introduced the "Foreign Influence Transparency Act," which would require the institutes to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, or FARA.
The measure, which comes amid increasing concern from some U.S. officials about Chinese influence in U.S. education, also would require universities to disclose donations, contracts or in-kind gifts valued at $50,000 or more from any foreign source.

MSNBC Panelist to Biden: ‘Dude, It’s Over’
A couple of MSNBC panelists on Thursday had a strong message regarding former Vice President Joe Biden's presidential aspirations, with one saying, "Dude, it's over."
The topic of Biden's plans for 2020 arose after MSNBC host Craig Melvin spoke to contributors Jason Johnson and Yamiche Alcindor about the former vice president's recent headline-grabbing comments. On Tuesday, Biden said he would have liked to beat up President Donald Trump for his comments regarding women.
Melvin suggested Biden's recent actions, which also include working with many notable Democrats at the Biden Institute, appear to indicate his intention is, as speculated, to run for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020. Johnson and Alcindor agreed, however, that Biden is the "last thing" the Democratic Party needs.
"Safe to say, Yamiche, that Joe Biden is running for president in 2020?" Melvin asked..

The Protesters the Mainstream Media Won’t Ever Show You
Oh, sure, you’ll hear plenty today, and for days and days afterward, about all the passionate people who were present at the March for Our Lives events on Saturday — from Boston to Denver, from Atlanta to L.A., and from Washington, D.C., to Seattle and many points in between.
But you almost certainly won’t hear from the mainstream media about the people who showed up in the nation’s capital on Saturday, March 24, to talk about the rights guaranteed them and all Americans by the Second Amendment.
No one wants gun violence against another individual to occur. But neither do supporters of the Second Amendment want their firearms unceremoniously taken away from them in some sort of massive gun grab after tragedies and shootings.
Among the students and families in Saturday’s crowd in D.C. were hundreds of teachers, many of whom were advocating for additional protections for their students. Jamie Sullins, a kindergarten teacher from Florida, was staying at the Trump International Hotel with her family when she heard about the march.
“I definitely think it’s devastating — school shootings and these things happening,” Sullins told LifeZette. “It’s definitely scary for the kids who are in school now to have to deal with those things.”
That said, Sullins is a gun owner — and she argued that the solution to gun violence is not to take firearms away from licensed owners.
“Taking [guns] away from the people who are not out to hurt people gets in the way of being able to protect,” she said.
Sullins said that the recent shooting at Great Mills High School in Maryland, during which an armed school resource officer responded within one minute and successfully disarmed Austin Wyatt Rollins, 17, showed that removing guns from the equation could result in more casualties.

Students’ Anti-Gun Protests-- Much Passion, Little Logic
Encouraged by teachers and outside activists after the Florida tragedy, demonstrators talk long and loud, but their arguments aren't constructive
An ideological crackup between Left and Right has been apparent as thousands of students have marched against guns since 17 people died in the February 14 violence that would awaken passion in even the most cold-blooded.
What it means, however, is seemingly less significant than the symbolism. Educators and politicians who should know better encouraged students to engage in protests. Mayor Bill de Blasio in New York City said public school students would not be punished if they left their desks to participate in the rallies.
Surely press notices and most spokesmen congratulated the students on their public consciousness. Yet for anyone observing this event without an ideological lens, you might ask what was going on. Students were demonstrating against guns, and the NRA was generally the target — but what was the legislative goal, a modification in the Second Amendment?
Guns can kill, but so can knives. A gun in the hands of St. Francis is not a weapon. Therefore, the gun owner is the critical factor in this equation. All parties agree that a person with mental illness should not have a gun. All parties agree that criminals should not be able to obtain guns. Surely on those matters alone consensus can be achieved. But this is not the real issue..

Vast Number of Armed Security, National Guard, Police Protecting Student Protestors
Photographs depict truckloads of “good guys with guns” protecting students who are marching to restrict the gun rights of other Americans.
NBC DC’s Meagan Fitzgerald tweeted that police were on scene in the wee morning hours preparing for the arrival of the gun control supporters who were en route to the National Mall.
The student march for gun control enjoys the backing of various gun control groups, including Michael Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety and Gabby Giffords’ gun control group. They also enjoy the support of leftist groups like Women’s March Los Angeles.
Ironically, the July 14, 2017, Women’s march against gun rights and the NRA was likewise surrounded by good guys with guns protecting the march participants.

12 Horrible Messages Hollywood Sends to Americans
1. If You’re Not Having Sex Right This Second, You Are a Loser
When all the winners on the screen that you’re supposed to root for are having sex the way most of us are shaking hands, it makes a lot of people in the real world think they should be doing the same thing. Couldn’t they show James Bond’s shaken expression as a doctor informs him he's contracted syphilis or something?
2. The Key to Success Is Being Born Special or Being Handed a Gift
You know, like Harry Potter, Luke Skywalker, eeee, Superman, and nearly every other superhero. That’s just the message teenagers -- who typically aren’t good at much of anything yet, other than playing video games and failing to prepare for tests -- need to hear.
3. Success Is Quick and Easy
There’s no way the Karate Kid trained for only a few months, and then beat a more athletic guy who was four inches taller and 20 pounds of muscle heavier to win a karate tournament -- one which that guy had already won the previous year.
Similarly, on the show Green Arrow, there’s no way Oliver Queen spent five years training on an island and came back able to easily defeat an unlimited number of armed opponents with a bow. Almost EVERYTHING worth doing takes much longer than you think it will when you start.

Time to Get CNN Out of the Airports, etc.
With minor exceptions, almost everywhere one goes that is a public facility like airports, bus and railroad stations, as well as most private venues like the lobbies of banks and corporate towers and even bars and restaurants, CNN is the default cable news network hanging Big Brother-like on the wall for all to see and believe. Often it is blaring at us in elevators.
This is true even though in terms of voluntary home viewership CNN trails massively behind Fox News and even the less popular MSNBC. It's clear from years of ratings, the people, by and large and consistently, don't want to watch CNN. Nevertheless, they are force fed the network's vision of the world as they sit stupefied in airport lounges waiting endlessly for a delayed flight. It's like having your brains drilled.
This has been going on for decades. Why?
The best you can say for CNN is that, as the initiator of 24/7 cable news, the network has a first-mover advantage, but that advantage has been perpetuated and protected by a big lie.

Actors at Casting Call Are Surprised by Real Gun Facts They're Asked to Read
Here is what happens when people on both sides of the gun conversation in America are able to be heard. The producers of this video had a variety of actors cold read statistical truths about guns and crime in the United States. Much of this is known to pro-Second Amendment advocates but not to the general public. It is difficult to have a fact-based conversation when the largely uninformed anti-gun left is running around screaming "ASSAULT WEAPONS" all of the time and the media is always there to amplify their panic. One of the younger actors admits that he just "blindly chose a side" in the gun debate. Another says she is now inspired to do more research. At the very minimum, the video is full of good information for pro-Second Amendment people.

NY Archbishop Timothy Dolan Says Dem Party Is 'Abandoning Catholics'
The Archbishop of the Diocese of New York criticized the Democratic Party in an opinion piece published Friday, "Fox & Friends" reported.
Timothy Cardinal Dolan, who principally preaches at St. Patrick's Cathedral, wrote in the Wall Street Journal that the Democratic Party platform appears to be abandoning its former pro-life stance.
Dolan, however, underlined that he is a man of God, not a man of Washington or Albany and has had differences with all political parties.
"But," he said. "It saddens me, and [it] weakens the democracy millions of Americans cherish, when the party that once embraced Catholics now slams the door on us."
The Cardinal, 68, said DNC Chairman Tom Perez insisted in 2016 that pro-life candidates have no place in the modern Democratic Party.
"The 'big tent' of the Democratic Party now seems a pup tent," he said.

Man says he was on a 'jihad' against US policy in the Middle East
A man who said he was on a jihad to avenge U.S. policy in the Middle East pleaded guilty on Tuesday to killing a college student in New Jersey and admitted he fatally shot three men in the Seattle area in spring 2014.
The Asbury Park Press reports that Ali Muhammad Brown entered a guilty plea Friday to first-degree robbery and a weapons charge in the June 2014 robbery in Point Pleasant Beach.
Brown earlier pleaded guilty to shooting 19-year-old Brendan Tevlin as the victim sat at a traffic light in West Orange, a few miles from Newark.
He's currently serving a 35-year term for a West Orange robbery and has yet to plead in the Washington state cases.
He said he killed the men because 'all these lives are taken every single day by America, by this government. So a life for a life.'

Trump scrapping Obama-era rule that turned schools into ‘war zones’
The Trump administration plans this summer to scrap a controversial Obama-era discipline rule forced on schools to close racial gaps in suspensions and arrests but that critics say pressures educators to turn a blind eye to escalating bad behavior.
The federal directive, issued jointly in 2014 by the US departments of Education and Justice, warned public school districts receiving federal funding — including New York City — that they could face investigation and funding cuts if they fail to reduce statistical “disparities” in discipline by race. On average, the administration noted, black students are suspended at three times the rate of their white peers.
The directive also discourages student arrests and holds districts liable for the actions of “school resource officers … or other law enforcement personnel.”
The one-size-fits-all federal policy, which recommends group counseling sessions and other alternatives to traditional discipline, has been foisted on several hundred school districts serving millions of students through investigations and threats of investigation that have continued into the Trump administration. More than 300 school districts remain under federal scrutiny, including NYC schools.
“The scope of it is breathtaking,” said Max Eden, an education policy expert and senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute.

The Real Reason Wheat is Toxic (it’s not the gluten)
The stories became far too frequent to ignore.
Emails from folks with allergic or digestive issues to wheat in the United States experienced no symptoms whatsoever when they tried eating pasta on vacation in Italy.
Confused parents wondering why wheat consumption sometimes triggered autoimmune reactions in their children but not at other times.
In my own home, I’ve long pondered why my husband can eat the wheat I prepare at home, but he experiences negative digestive effects eating even a single roll in a restaurant.
There is clearly something going on with wheat that is not well known by the general public. It goes far and beyond organic versus nonorganic, gluten or hybridization because even conventional wheat triggers no symptoms for some who eat wheat in other parts of the world.
What indeed is going on with wheat?
For quite some time, I secretly harbored the notion that wheat in the United States must, in fact, be genetically modified. GMO wheat secretly invading the North American food supply seemed the only thing that made sense and could account for the varied experiences I was hearing about.
I reasoned that it couldn’t be the gluten or wheat hybridization. Gluten and wheat hybrids have been consumed for thousands of years. It just didn’t make sense that this could be the reason for so many people suddenly having problems with wheat and gluten in general in the past 5-10 years.
Finally, the answer came over dinner a couple of months ago with a friend who was well versed in the wheat production process. I started researching the issue for myself, and was, quite frankly, horrified at what I discovered.
The good news is that the reason wheat has become so toxic in the United States is not because it is secretly GMO as I had feared (thank goodness!).

Opinion: Sarkozy Indicted For Corruption, As Clinton Cabal Crumbles
It seems as if some measure of bad karma has finally come to haunt the friends of Hillary Clinton, with news emerging this week that France’s former President Nicholas Sarkozy has been indicted for financial corruption in Libya stemming from the late Muammar Gaddafi’s alleged financing of Sarkozy’s 2007 campaign. With the protection of the neoliberal Queen, Hillary Clinton, removed from the political chess board after her failed Presidential bid, it remains to be seen as to how many more of her supporters and associates have become perilously vulnerable to exposure.
When then Secretary-of-State Hillary Clinton spat “We came, we saw, he died,” in the wake of Muammar Gaddafi’s murder, she was not the only psychopath reveling in a bloody victory: Behind her, in the shadows, corrupt leaders like Sarkozy were also cheering.
Earlier this week, press reports indicated that Sarkozy was placed under official investigation and charged with passive corruption, illicit campaign financing and misappropriation of Libyan public funds in relation to the alleged illegal financing of his 2007 presidential campaign by the late Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi. Julian Assange Tweeted:

Lindsey Graham: 'I Want to Be Able to Prove' FBI's Clinton Investigation Was 'Whitewashed,' 'Sham'
On this weekend’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said he had subpoenaed documents from the FBI on the Clinton email investigation because he wanted to “prove that the FBI investigation of the Clinton email scandalwas a sham.”
Graham said, “I want more information. I want to be able to prove that the FBI investigation of the Clinton email scandal was a sham. That the lead investigator, the lead FBI agent, hated Trump, supportive of Clinton. They whitewashed the email scandal. If you had done what she had done you’d probably be in jail right now, and to hold the FBI accountable for not doing their job correctly. Comey, I think the fix was in.”

College professor 'miserable' over the thought of working with conservative students
A Siena College professor quit her school's committee on civil discourse because the simple thought of working with conservative college students was “making [her] miserable." This sentiment was shared by Siena College philosophy professor Jennifer McErlean in an email to an alumnus and a current Siena College student who leads the conservative Turning Point USA chapter on campus.

Worst Congress Bosses: Jackson Lee, Klobuchar
Capitol Hill can be a very difficult place to work, but Sheila Jackson Lee, Amy Klobuchar, Henry Cueller and Ted Cruz are the absolute worst bosses in Congress.
Government tracking site Legistorm recently unveiled a new feature which charts each office’s annual salary-weighted staff turnover rate, in which the aforementioned lawmakers far outpaced their peers.
According to the data, Cueller and Cruz had the highest staff turnover last year in the House and Senate, respectively.

How do we know Trump will be safe when he meets Kim Jong Un?
If President Trump's planned meeting with Kim Jong Un happens, those planning security for the event can't deny the dictator's past, which include allegations that he ordered his brother's death at a public airport when a pair of women splashed his face with precursors of the VX nerve agent.
Trump’s summit with the young dictator is tentatively planned for sometime before May and has many unresolved details, including the location and date.
Experts know that a diplomatic meeting between Trump and Kim would be tightly controlled, with negotiations between U.S. and North Korea determining the number of security personnel joining each leader, as well as any accompanying weaponry.
But there are significant unknowns, including whether Kim would be physically searched, and whether the choice of venue would make it difficult to protect against the most extreme scenarios involving physical risk to Trump.
Experts familiar with diplomatic and security processes cite North Korean self-interest as the best defense against a jarring assault during the meeting, though many note it's difficult to predict the behavior of one of the world's most closed, repressive nations.
An assault on Trump would be an unlikely twist to an apparent opening for rapprochement, but North Korea has a long history of assassination schemes against dissidents and rivals. And experts say no level of security can be foolproof.

Illegal Immigrant Gets Prison Time for Re-Entry
A federal judge in Pennsylvania sentenced a twice-deported illegal immigrant to eight months in prison. A state court sentenced the Mexican national to 90 days to five years in prison for a 2017 drunk driving conviction.
U.S. District Judge Nora Barry Fischer sentenced Pedro Omar Martinez-Alba, 30, to spend eight months in federal prison following his conviction for illegally re-entering the U.S. after having twice been deported. Immigration officers previously deported Martinez-Alba in January 2014 and again in November 2015, according to information obtained by Breitbart Texas from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Police in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, arrested the illegal alien on a drunk driving charge in April 2017 — 17 months after his second deportation, U.S. Attorney Scott W. Brady stated.

Assange Suggests British Government Was Involved In Plot To Bring Down Trump
“We finally have the most concrete evidence yet of shadowy actors using dirty tricks in order to rig elections”
In a series of tweets Thursday night, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange suggested that there is evidence indicating that the British government and intelligence agencies were involved in a plot to bring down the Trump presidency.
Assange laid out the possible role that he believes MI6 and the government played in the so called ‘dirty dossier’ scandal:

Pollak: Conservative Hysteria over Omnibus Is Wrong and Self-Defeating
Conservatives are understandably frustrated by the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill that President Donald Trump signed into law, under protest, on Friday.
The massive size of the bill makes a mockery of Republican promises since 2009 to restrain spending and return to balanced budget once they returned to power.
The large number of giveaways to Democratic Party projects and special interests is a sign that the Swamp is still alive and festering in the Trump era.
The fact that the 2,232-page bill was jammed down legislators’ throats with literally no time to read it shows how little has changed in Washington even after the Tea Party.
And the lack of real funding for the border wall — Trump’s core campaign promise in 2016 — suggests that Trump is “getting rolled” by both parties.
But the omnibus is not a disaster. In fact, Republicans scored many important wins...

Rapper Killer Mike: ‘Progressive’ Gun Grabbers ‘Going to Progress Us into Slavery’
While students and activists geared up to march in Washington, D.C., and across the country in support of new restrictions on the Second Amendment, rapper Killer Mike warned that gun control is way the progressive left can return black Americans to slavery.
In an interview with NRATV’s Colion Noir, Killer Mike explained how the left equates gun control with 'progress' and observed, “[They are] going to progress us into slavery.”
In the lead-up to the March 14 school walk out for gun control, Killer Mike said he told his kids, “I love you, but if you walk out that school walk out my house.”
“You can’t continue to be the lackey,” the Atlanta-based rapper and business owner said. “You’re a lackey of the progressive movement because you have never disagreed with the people who tell you what to do.”

WATCH: Students Stumble When Asked to Define ‘Assault Weapon’
On Saturday students marching for an “assault weapon” ban stumbled when asked to explain what the term “assault weapon” means.
Campus Reform interviewed various students, finding unanimous support for banning “assault weapons.” The students were confident in their support of such a ban, but fumbled around for words when asked to define the weapons they wanted to ban.
One ban supporter was asked, “Do you know what an ‘assault weapon’ is?”
The student responded, “Yes, it’s, uh, assault weapon, it’s like a, I kinda do, but kinda don’t.”
Other students supporting the ban just looked blankly at one another when asked the same question.
One student answered by admitting she did not know what “assault weapons” meant. Then she added, “But ‘assault weapons,’ does that sound safe to you?”

Pro-Marriage Bulletin Posting Triggers Providence College Students
Students at Providence College upset by a resident assistant’s posting of material supporting Catholic teaching about marriage are planning to hold a march against homophobia Friday night.
Meanwhile, the college is investigating the appearance of a cartoon in a dorm bathroom showing the residential assistant being anally raped.
And the local bishop has weighed in, challenging the college’s president to decide whether to stand by the Catholic faith or succumb to political correctness.

March For Our Lives Crowd Count Well Below Initial Reports
Around 200,000 people attended the March For Our Lives gun control event in Washington, D.C. Saturday afternoon, CBS News reported.
The number is well below the 500,000 number organizers of the event expected and 600,000 less than initially reported by many news outlets immediately following the celebrity-fueled march and rally.
USA Today said Saturday the initially reported number of 800,000 marchers could “be the biggest single-day protest in D.C.’s history.”

How To Teach Law To Millennials
I teach in a law school. I have previously recounted some of the provocative measures that I now find it necessary to use in the classroom. To prepare my students to receive an education in law I must first give them remedial instruction in critical and logical reasoning. I find that I must pull weeds out of their minds before anything fruitful can take root there.
One of the most pernicious weeds is the notion that discrimination is inherently evil and unjust. This weed has deep roots in their understanding and character. In fact, they seem to believe that the only person worse than someone who discriminates is someone who judges.
This weed damages not only their minds but also their souls. They have come to think that the two most unjust actions a person can commit are exercising discernment and exercising judgment. In other words, they have been inoculated against important intellectual virtues. The dogmas of non-discernment and non-judgmentalism crowd out potential growth that might enable them to reason well. As their teacher, I consider myself obligated to attack those weeds.

School shootings are extraordinarily rare. Why is fear of them driving policy?
The first recorded school shooting in the United States took place in 1840, when a law student shot and killed his professor at the University of Virginia. But the modern fear dawned on April 20, 1999, when Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris killed 12 classmates and a teacher, and then themselves, at Colorado’s Columbine High. Since then, the murder of children in their classrooms has come to seem common, a regular feature of modern American life, and our fears so strong that we are certain the next horror is sure to come not long after the last.
The Education Department reports that roughly 50 million children attend public schools for roughly 180 days per year. Since Columbine, approximately 200 public school students have been shot to death while school was in session, including the recent slaughter at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. (and a shooting in Birmingham, Ala., on Wednesday that police called accidental that left one student dead). That means the statistical likelihood of any given public school student being killed by a gun, in school, on any given day since 1999 was roughly 1 in 614 million. And since the 1990s, shootings at schools have been getting less common.
The chance of a child being shot and killed in a public school is extraordinarily low. Not zero — no risk is. But it’s far lower than many people assume, especially in the glare of heart-wrenching news coverage after an event like Parkland. And it’s far lower than almost any other mortality risk a kid faces, including traveling to and from school, catching a potentially deadly disease while in school or suffering a life-threatening injury playing interscholastic sports.

FBI Informant Speaks, Says Feds Asking New Questions About Clintons
The former FBI informant at the heart of the Russian Uranium scandal, William D. Campbell, has given an exclusive, on camera interview to The Hill - in which he reveals that he was interviewed in December by FBI agents from the Little Rock, Arkansas for five hours about the Clintons.
Of note - Campbell's attorney is Victoria Toensing, a former Deputy Assistant Attorney General under Reagan who is now handling the Mueller investigation for President Trump along with her husband, former federal prosecutor Joe diGenova (also of note, newly mintedNational Security Advisor John Bolton was Reagan's Assistant AG, presumably while Toensing was a Deputy Assistant AG in the criminal division).
After Campbell spent decades working for the CIA, he was "turned over" to the FBI for counterintelligence work due to relationships he had forged deep within the Russian uranium industry. While deep undercover, Campbell uncovered two related bribery schemes involving Russian nuclear officials, an American trucking company, and efforts to route money to the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) through an American lobbying firm in order to overcome regulatory hurdles, according to reports by The Hill and Circa.

Clemson student’s death attributed to deadly street drug epidemic in Upstate
Bowen Paul Ellis died from drug mix including fentanyl
PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. — Two weeks after Upstate officials warned of multiple overdoses caused by a deadly street drug that has become pervasive in the area, a coroner has confirmed that a Clemson student’s death in December was caused by the drug.
Pickens County Corner Kandy Kelley said Bowen Paul Ellis’ autopsy determined that he died from a combination of cocaine, fentanyl and acetyl-fentanyl. His death was ruled an accident.
Ellis, 19, who was a sophomore forest resource management major, was found unresponsive Dec. 9, in his off-campus apartment by his roommates.
Christopher Miller, Clemson’s associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students, said Ellis’ death left the Clemson family heartbroken.
"Please keep Bowen's family in your thoughts and prayers," Miller said.
Bowen’s obituary said he loved hunting with his granddad and was an avid fisherman.

What Conservative Women Can Learn About Liberals From the Way They Treat Dana Loesch
I have known Dana Loesch for a long time and I’ve been pleased to see her work her way up the food chain on the Right. She didn’t get to where she is because of a publicity stunt, because her whole gig is to offend people or because she mindlessly shills for the Republican Party. Instead, she’s someone with talent who was out there working her butt off for years.
Is Dana Loesch a mainstream grassroots conservative? Absolutely. Is she someone who should be considered a feminist role model? You bet. Having met her and her husband on numerous occasions, I can tell you that they seem to be a great couple with a great marriage; they’ve got kids; she’s topped the 20 hottest conservative women in the new media AND she’s respected for her mind. On top of that, Dana has had a successful career. That’s probably as close to the “You can have it all” feminist ideal as you can get.
That is why the liberal reaction to Dana Loesch since she became one of the most prominent women on the Right by becoming an NRA spokeswoman has been so fascinating. Granted, Dana does occasionally say something controversial, but that’s not a regular thing for her. She’s not a fascist, a white supremacist or even mean-spirited. She doesn’t advocate gun violence or school shootings. In fact, as a general rule, Dana spends the vast majority of her time expressing mainstream conservative beliefs.
That’s what makes the insane level of abuse she receives from the Left stand out so much. Just to give you an example of what I mean, these are just some of the comments she shared on her Twitter timeline in the last 24 hours and they are very typical:
Islandtime: @POTUSbonespur “Wouldn’t it be sad is @DLoesch’s children were the victims of gun violence. Thoughts and prayers…”
Larry: @seffrtnow “Not only are you a terrorist you are a Despicable loathsome vial scumbag who advocates for Mass school shootings for money shame on you you piece of crap @DLoesch”

7 Techniques Liberals Use to Silence Conservatives
Free speech has become a conservative idea by default because liberals don’t believe in it any more. Liberals have given up on the idea of coming up with the best argument and now work tirelessly to silence their opposition so they can win the argument by default. Liberals NEED to do this because their ideas don’t work very well in the real world and if their ideas are tested and evaluated logically, they will be rejected by most people. So, how do they get around that?
1) Libsplaining: For every guy out there mansplaining, there are probably 500 liberals libsplaining what some conservative supposedly REALLY MEANT at exactly the same time. If you’re conservative, pretty much anything you say will be reinterpreted by liberals to mean something totally different. Against welfare because you think it encourages people not to work? You must hate black people. We need to cut wasteful government programs? You despise poor people. You weren’t in love with Trump, but really didn’t like Hillary, so you voted for him? You obviously want to turn America into Nazi Germany AND you hate women. None of this would be more than an annoyance except for the fact that liberals then take their completely nonsensical interpretation of what conservatives say and present it to the world as reality. This is how, for example, tens of millions of liberals who have probably never listened to Rush Limbaugh in their entire lives think he furiously spews lies and racist rants against the poor for three hours per day. Liberals seem to be practically incapable of taking common conservative beliefs at face value because that could lead them to intellectually engage in a debate about the best way to handle a problem, which could lead them away from liberal doctrine, which could….uh, YOU’RE A RACIST! THAT’S WHY.
2) Violence: Why are the liberal fascists in ANTIFA violently protesting? They’re violently protesting that people they disagree with are allowed to speak at all. Incidentally, “people they disagree with” runs the gamut from Nazis to mainstream conservatives. Ultimately, the liberals who send death and rape threats to conservative women like Dana Loesch and Michelle Malkin have the same goal as ANTIFA. They want to use the threat of violence to convince them to quit and to intimidate other women who agree with them. The limits on it are determined in large part by what they believe they can escape punishment for doing. Not every liberal will get violent, but violent groups like ANTIFA would be nothing without friendly police departments and college campuses that turn a blind eye to their activities. When they think they can get away with it, liberals are perfectly comfortable with using violence to silence their political opponents. Keep that in mind when they demand that you give up your guns.
