Moments ago, when reporting that Paul Ryan - and other senior members of Congress - had joined the Tariff Resistance, demanding that Trump kill the proposed steel and alu import tariffs, we quoted Bloomberg's Michael Regan who remarked that "this is either a strong signal that Trump may end up being talked out of tariffs, or a strong signal that Paul Ryan's about to get saddled with a new insult-comic nickname from Trump."
As a reminder, Paul Ryan joined the chorus against the Trump tariffs on Monday, and in a statement Ryan said the following:
"We are extremely worried about the consequences of a trade war and are urging the White House to not advance with this plan. The new tax reform law has boosted the economy and we certainly don’t want to jeopardize those gains"
According to Bloomberg's Michael Regan "this is either a strong signal that Trump may end up being talked out of tariffs, or a strong signal that Paul Ryan's about to get saddled with a new insult-comic nickname from Trump."
At the same time, other Republican Congressional leaders said they haven’t ruled out "a potential action down the line" if President Trump follows through with imposing sanctions on imported steel and aluminum, a GOP official said.
Well, it appears that Ryan is indeed about to have a new nickname, because according to flashing red headlines, Trump just said that he won't be changing his mind.

"Bigger Than Watergate" - Trump Slams Obama Admin's "Unprecedented" Actions
President Trump took a break from confirming his intent to retaliate for years of unfair-trade-deals with America's so-called 'allies', to return to another topic that is as existentially-threatening to the status quo as globalists would have us believe Trump's trade war ideals will be.
That topic is the Obama administration's efforts to discredit Trump's 2016 campaign, via investigation, while also failing to act on Russian efforts to influence the election.
"Why did the Obama Administration start an investigation into the Trump Campaign (with zero proof of wrongdoing) long before the Election in November?” Trump tweeted.
“Wanted to discredit so Crooked H would win. Unprecedented. Bigger than Watergate! Plus, Obama did NOTHING about Russian meddling,” he continued.

Maryland Surpasses One Million Tax Returns Processed
Franchot reminds taxpayers that filing deadline is April 17
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - As the tax filing season churns along, Comptroller Peter Franchot today announced that his office has processed more than one million individual income tax returns. The one-millionth return was submitted by an Anne Arundel County tax filer.
As of Monday morning, 1,093,773 electronic and paper returns have been processed. Comptroller Franchot urged Marylanders to e-file because it's the most secure and efficient way to submit a tax return. Most Marylanders who file electronically receive their state refunds within three business days.
"E-filing is the safest way for Marylanders to submit their tax returns," Mr. Franchot said. "My staff remains vigilant in our fight to identify and stop fraudulent returns and safeguarding law-abiding taxpayers' hard-earned money."
Through the years of public outreach by the Comptroller and his staff, the number of electronic returns processed has steadily increased. Last year, the Comptroller's office processed more than 2.6 million returns electronically. Electronic filers represented about 85 percent of the 3.2 million personal income tax returns filed last year.
The filing deadline for 2017 tax returns is Tuesday, April 17, rather than the traditional April 15. In 2018, April 15 falls on a Sunday and Emancipation Day – a legal holiday in the District of Columbia – falls on April 16, which pushes the filing deadline to the following day.
Free state tax assistance is available at all of the agency's 12 taxpayer service offices Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A list of office locations can be found at www.marylandtaxes.com.

PENNSYLVANIA MAN CHARGED WITH THREATENING TO BLOW UP HAGERSTOWN OFFICE BUILDING
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD (March 6, 2018) - A Deputy State Fire Marshal has arrested a Pennsylvania man after he threatened to blow up the office building located at Craig Paving, Inc., 118 Hump Road, Hagerstown, MD. Craig Paving is owned by Roger Craig.
On March 5, 2018, at approximately 12:00 pm, the Deputy State Fire Marshal was contacted at the Western Regional Office in Hagrestown by Mr. Craig to report the threat. The Deputy made contact with Mr. Craig and several witnesses.
As a result of the witness interviews, it was determined that the threat made by Blake William Durboraw, (6/9/1970) of 9819 Willowdale Road, Greencastle, PA, was credible and that he was in possession of blasting caps and capable of carrying out the threat, as he stated he had "nothing to lose." Mr. Durboraw was angry because his mother, Judy Durboraw of 136 Hump Road, Hagerstown, was selling her property to Craig Paving. As a result of the consent search conducted by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Bomb Squad and their Explosives K9 - Blitz at 136 Hump Road, 28 Blasting Caps were located in the garage. Due to the age of the Blasting Caps and the unknown stability, an emergency disposal was performed, without incident, by the Bomb Squad.
The Deputy State Fire Marshal charged Mr. Durboraw with Threat to Explode a Structure and Possessing Explosives Without a License. Mr. Durboraw was transported to Washington County Central Booking without incident. He is currently being held at Washington County Detention Center without bond pending his Bond Review on March 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm.

Sarah Palin: Trump Is ‘Trying to Win’ a Trade War ‘We’ve Been Fighting for Decades’
President Donald Trump is responding to a trade war — not starting one — he inherited by pursuing a “level playing field” via tariffs, wrote former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Monday.
Palin pointed to comments made by Breitbart News’s Senior Editor-at-Large Rebecca Mansour last Thursday about Trump’s proposals to combat “economic warfare” waged by China to destroy America’s steel and aluminum manufacturers.
China’s predatory pricing of steel and aluminum exports is designed to destroy the financial viability of America’s domestic manufacturers of the metals, said Mansour:
What China is doing, they are willing to take a loss on steel and dump steel below the price of what it costs them to make it simply because they want to destroy our industry for a strategic reason. They want the world to be dependent on them. They want to take the market; that’s why they’re dumping steel. This is an act of war. This is economic warfare.

Signs Of The Peak: 10 Charts Reveal An Auto Bubble On The Brink
U.S. auto sales have hovered well north of replacement rates for several years now on the back of an improving labor environment and more importantly an extremely accommodating financing market characterized by $0 down, 0% interest loans to subprime borrowers, with perpetually longer maturities to help manage monthly payments...because if your monthly payment is $515 you should be able to afford it.
But, according to data presented in Experian's Q4 2017 auto financing market update slides, the auto market may finally be on the brink of running right off the other side of Ford's proverbial "Plateau."
First, as we've warned numerous times, inflated auto sales continue to come solely from an unprecedented expansion in consumer credit...

Facebook Survey: ‘Should We Allow Men to Ask Children for Sexual Photos’
Facebook has apologized for a recent user survey which asked if pedophiles should be allowed to request sexual images from children on the social media platform.
The Guardian reports that Facebook has apologized for a recent user survey which asked users to outline how they believed the company should deal with pedophiles grooming children on the platform. One question stated, “There are a wide range of topics and behaviors that appear on Facebook.” It continued, “In thinking about an ideal world where you could set Facebook’s policies, how would you handle the following: a private message in which an adult man asks a 14-year-old girl for sexual pictures.”
Users could select options such as. “This content should be allowed on Facebook, and I would not mind seeing it,” or “This content should be allowed on Facebook, but I don’t want to see it,” or “This content should not be allowed on Facebook, and no one should be to see it” and finally, “I have no preference on this topic.”
Another question asked whether an adult man should be allowed to ask for sexual pictures of an underage child on Facebook, the options ranged from “Facebook users decide the rules by voting and tell Facebook” and “Facebook decides the rules on its own.”

U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Makes First Visit to Vietnam in Over 40 Years
The USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) is making the first visit by an American aircraft carrier to Vietnam in more than 40 years.
The carrier, along with two other ships from its strike group deployed to the region, initiated a port call in Da Nang on Monday, according to the U.S. Navy. The ships were greeted by senior officials from both countries.
U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink and Pacific Fleet Commander Adm. Scott Swift spoke about the importance of the Carl Vinson's visit to the foe-turned-partner.
"The visit marks an enormously significant milestone in our bilateral relations and demonstrates U.S. support for a strong, prosperous, and independent Vietnam," Kritenbrink said. "Through hard work, mutual respect, and by continuing to address the past while we work toward a better future, we have gone from former enemies to close partners."

A 20-Year-Old Oregon Man Sues Walmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods for Refusing to Sell Him a Rifle
Tyler Watson tried to buy a gun at a Walmart in Grants Pass on March 3, but the cashier wouldn't let him purchase a rifle because he was too young.
A 20-year-old Gold Hill, Ore. man sued Walmart and Dick's Sporting Goods today for discriminating against him because of his age, after an employee refused to sell him a rifle because of the stores' newly-adopted policy to limit firearm sales to people under 21.
Walmart, Dick's Sporting Goods, Bi-Mart and Kroger, which operates Fred Meyer stores, all announced last week that they would restrict the sale of guns to people over 21 in response to a mass shooting at a Florida high school that killed 17 people.
A former Lane County judge raised concerns to WW this weekend that the retailers' new policies might violate Oregon's anti-discrimination laws, which bar businesses from limiting services based on someone's race, religion, gender or age.
That's what Tyler Watson is suing over.

'Out of Control' Shootings at Gang Funerals Continue to Rise in Chicago
Chicago-area police are fighting a losing battle to stop gun battles from erupting during gang members’ funerals as street gangs have kicked up their bloody warfare to yet another degree.
Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart called a meeting of local politicians, religious leaders, funeral home owners, and others to discuss measures to safeguard mourners and to try and craft policies to stop the growing number of attacks between rival gangs during funerals, Fox News reported.
Dart noted that the attacks have become more frequent in the last few years as gang warfare continues to spin out of control in the Windy City.
“It’s getting out of control, it really is,” Hillside Police Chief Joseph Lukaszek said. “The gangs just think that it’s a safe haven for them and they do whatever they want to do.”

NRA Memberships Surge in Wake of Anti-NRA Protests, 'Media Bias'
National Rifle Association memberships surged in the wake of the anti-NRA protests and “media bias” that followed the February 14 Florida school shooting.
The Daily Mail reports that Google searches for “NRA membership” rose “4,900 percent” since the Florida attack. That rise occurred at a time when many Democrats, media personalities, and Hollywood celebrities were denouncing the NRA as causal in the shooting that took 17 lives in a gun-free zone.
The Hollywood attitude was epitomized by writer-director Judd Apatow, actress Mia Farrow, and comedian Chelsea Handler, all of whom responded to the Florida school attack by calling out the NRA to drive a wedge between voters and pro-gun legislators.

Chicago Woman Pushers Stranger Onto Train Tracks Because She was Having a Bad Day
A Chicago woman who said she was having a bad day was arrested for attempted murder for pushing a stranger onto the city’s electrified train tracks on Friday.
Chicago Police arrested Wilma Maxey, 57, for pushing a woman she did not know onto the CTA’s train tracks at a North Rogers Park train station, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
The suspect told police she was “having a bad day” and “wanted to kill someone” because her bank account had not cleared her to access a sum of cash she was waiting to spend.
Maxey was at the Mores Avenue train stop just before 7:00 a.m. on March 2 when she saw a 66-year-old woman walking down the platform. Police say Maxey then stood up from her bench, walked over to the victim, shoved the woman off the platform and down onto the train tracks. Maxey then allegedly sat back down on the bench, where police found her after being called to the scene by a witness.

A Streetcar Named Disaster
There are few more illustrative examples of government dysfunction and waste than the DC Streetcar.
At a hearing last week, the Washington, D.C., City Council reportedly discussed replacing its fleet of streetcars, just two years after the DC Streetcar went into service, even though the Federal Transit Administration generally sets a streetcar’s lifespan at around three decades.
Acquiring the new streetcars will cost the city at least $25 million.
This would be just the latest unexpected problem for a public transport system plagued by delays, cost overruns, and failure. It has become a monument to government waste.

Obama Mandate Threatened My College’s Right to Exist. Here’s How Religious Liberty Won.
It was my time as a student at Wheaton College that helped me decide to become a lawyer. I never imagined that I’d have to spend six years of my legal career defending Wheaton’s right to exist.
Thankfully, that six-year fight came to an end last week.
The struggle began in 2011 when the Obama administration tried to use the Affordable Care Act to force religious organizations to pay for drugs and services that violated their religious beliefs.
Through an unconstitutional mandate, the government tried nine different ways to achieve the same goal: forcing religious schools, orders, nonprofits, and businesses to give up their religious beliefs as the price of admission to life in the public square.

Work Requirements Have Revolutionized Welfare at the State Level. Now It’s Uncle Sam’s Turn.
Policymakers are ready to get serious about work requirements for food stamps, with both Congress and the Trump administration working on ways to improve the program.
A little over a week ago, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced it is seeking comments on how best to reintroduce work requirements in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, often referred to as food stamps.
“Too many states have asked to waive work requirements, abdicating their responsibility to move participants to self-sufficiency,” Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue said in a press release. “ … [U.S. Department of Agriculture] policies must change if they contribute to a long-term failure for many [food stamp] participants and their families.”
The 1996 welfare reform law allowed states to apply for full or partial waivers of the work requirement based on high unemployment or low job availability. The number of waivers peaked in 2009, when Congress allowed the Obama administration to waive the program’s work requirements for all states.

Democrats, Media Just Don’t Know How to Talk About Guns
For years, Democrats and media figures have badly bungled gun vocabulary, gun laws and overallgun knowledge.
Here's two minutes' worth of folks talking about stopping "machine gun magazines," "high-magazine clips," and "rapid-fire magazines," banning guns that are already banned, conflating automatic weapons with semiautomatic weapons, warning about heat-seeking bullets, mourning the legality of hunting humans, and Joe Biden yelling, "Boom!"
Enjoy. Or cringe. Either way.
(A tip of the hat to Alana Mastrangelo, who compiled a previous montage with some of these clips as well.)

CHICAGOLAND: City-issued card is 'legal form of ID' for illegals to vote
A new CityKey ID available to all Chicago residents – regardless of immigration status, criminal record, housing situation or gender identity – will be considered as a valid form of identification to register to vote, according to the State Board of Elections.
“I believe, from what I’ve read, the Chicago municipal ID would live up to the qualifications under state statute for what a government-issued ID is,” Matt Dietrich, spokesman for the election board, toldWQAD. “So that would be a legal form of ID for the board of elections to accept.”
The new CityKey ID is designed to provide legal identification for illegal immigrants, as well as the homeless and folks recently released from prison. Dietrich acknowledged there is no state law that requires proof of citizenship to vote. Residents are simply required to check a box, though Dietrich contends there’s no reason to believe anyone would lie to vote illegally.
“When you go to register to vote, you do check a box that attests to your citizenship,” he said. “You are signing a legal document that says, ‘Yes, I am a citizen.’ But no one who registers to vote is required to bring in, for example, a birth certificate or other proof of citizenship. That’s something that you check the box, you attest to it.”
Dietrich told WQAD that local officials – the same ones defying federal immigration law to shield illegal immigrants from immigration enforcement – will keep things straight.

Tech is turning millennials into a generation of hunchbacks
For years, Charles Youn, 29, suffered from upper-back pain and neck soreness that made him hunch his shoulders and caused him to wake up numerous times throughout every night. He was in pain and constantly fatigued, drinking too much coffee to combat the sluggishness.
“I learned to live with it,” says Youn, who works in development for leadership nonprofit Outward Bound and lives on the Upper East Side. “My upper back and neck would be so tight. My neck was always bent forward, and I just thought that’s how it was going to be.”
This past fall, Youn consulted with chiropractor Dr. Christian Kang, who has a practice in the Flatiron District and explained he was holding his problem in the palms of his hands: his laptop and iPhone were causing his pain.
Youn suffers from “tech neck,” or forward head syndrome, a painful, increasingly common condition caused by slumping over devices for hours a day that leads the neck to lose its natural curve — and triggers a physiological imbalance in the upper body. Previously seen in middle-aged-or-older desk jockeys and dentists who hunch over patients, it’s now materializing in younger generations who grew up with smart phones, tablets and other personal devices.
“Now, 20-year-olds have the spine health of a 30- or 40-year-old. It’s an epidemic,” says Kang.

Jim Rickards: "Now, A Trade War - Next, A Shooting War"
A popular thesis since the 1930s is that a natural progression exists from currency wars to trade wars to shooting wars. Both history and analysis support this thesis.
Currency wars do not exist all the time; they arise under certain conditions and persist until there is either systemic reform or systemic collapse. The conditions that give rise to currency wars are too much debt and too little growth.
In those circumstances, countries try to steal growth from trading partners by cheapening their currencies to promote exports and create export-related jobs.
The problem with currency wars is that they are zero-sum or negative-sum games. It is true that countries can obtain short-term relief by cheapening their currencies, but sooner than later, their trading partners also cheapen their currencies to regain the export advantage.
This process of tit-for-tat devaluations feeds on itself with the pendulum of short-term trade advantage swinging back and forth and no one getting any further ahead.
After a few years, the futility of currency wars becomes apparent, and countries resort to trade wars. This consists of punitive tariffs, export subsidies and nontariff barriers to trade.

Man deported after disgruntled ex-girlfriend reports him to ICE
An illegal immigrant living in Kansas was deported Friday after his ex-girlfriend reported him to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), local media reported.
Mexican national Serafin Alegria-Zamora, 37, endured a “final act of terror” when his ex-girlfriend reported him to immigration authorities, his attorney, Rekha Sharma-Crawford said, according to The Kansas City Star.
Alegria-Zamora’s application for a “U” visa — anonimmigrant visa designated for “victims of certain crimes who have suffered mental or physical abuse” — reportedly was pending for four months when he was deported.
He applied for the visa after being allegedly stalked by his disgruntled ex-girlfriend who had a “dark obsession” with Alegria-Zamora after he began seeing a new woman with whom he started a family.

Dennis Prager: ‘The Left Is the Most Racist Movement Since the Nazis’
“Would Chuck Schumer like to see fewer Jews in the judiciary so that the judiciary looked like the American population?” asked Dennis Prager on Friday’s edition of his eponymous radio show.
Prager’s comments came in response to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) opposition to a federal judicial nominee on the basis of the nominee being white.
Schumer further advocated for the implementation of racial and ethnic quotas within federal judicial nominations. Merit should be subverted in pursuit of “diversity,” he suggested, calling for the nomination of more female and “non-white” nominees on the basis of sex, race, and ethnicity. The federal judiciary should “[start] looking a lot more like the America it represents,” said Schumer during a Wednesday Senate session.
Having members of one’s race represented politically or within the government does not afford one tangible benefits, said Prager:
"So what does that mean exactly? The judiciary is supposed to racially reflect the racial composition of American life? And why, exactly? Why is that an ideal that it looks like the American people? What benefit is there?
"[The left] speaks constantly of a racist society and the problems of the black underclass — which is a problem worth speaking about, incidentally. So I always ask, “Name me one benefit that having all the black mayors and all the black congressmen that we have has accrued to black life.” I would like to know one single tangible benefit.
"There are virtually — I’ve always pointed this out — no Asian congressmen, Asian governors, Asian judges — well, maybe some Asian judges — and they are the most successful community in the United States of America. … There is zero correlation between having your race represented in Congress or the judiciary and benefits to your race. Zero.

Breakthrough drug could be 'vaccine for prostate cancer'
A vaccine could one day protect men from developing prostate cancer, thanks to a breakthrough by British scientists.
Experts have designed a vaccine that boosts the immune system’s ability to track down and kill the cancer cells as soon as they start to appear.
The research is at an early stage, but scientists from Queen’s University Belfast believe their findings could be used to vaccinate young men against getting prostate cancer. It could also be used as a treatment for men who already have the cancer, because it would enable the body to kill off tumours.
The new vaccine will use RNA – a genetic messenger which teaches the immune system to recognise prostate cancer cells and hunt them down. The Queen’s researchers have shown it works in the lab and are embarking on a three-year trial on mice, after which they hope to test the vaccine on humans.

Three female Md. lawmakers describe harassment, call for independent investigator
Three female lawmakers told a legislative panel in Annapolis on Monday that they’ve experienced sexual harassment while in office and called for an independent investigator to handle harassment complaints in the Maryland General Assembly.
Dels. Angela M. Angel (D), District 25, Ariana B. Kelly (D-Montgomery) and Marice I. Morales (D), District 19, each spoke of being grabbed, touched or treated inappropriately, without giving details or naming the perpetrators.
They asked the House Rules Committee to approve legislation, backed by theWomen Legislators of Maryland caucus, that calls for an independent investigator, creates procedures for complaints involving lobbyists and requires the Office of Legislative Services to keep records on anti-harassment training of lawmakers and legislative staff.
Currently, harassment complaints must be filed either with the General Assembly’s office of human resources or the presiding legislative officers or their staff, and can be referred for investigation to the Joint Legislative Committee on Ethics.

Federal Judge Says Trump Within His Authority To End DACA
Moments ago, president Trump tweeted "Federal Judge in Maryland has just ruled that “President Trump has the right to end DACA.” President Obama had 8 years to fix this problem, and didn’t. I am waiting for the Dems, they are running for the hills!"
What he was referring to is that on Monday, a Maryland federal judge gave the Trump administration a win over a lawsuit challenging the DOJ's ability to rescind the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
Judge Roger W. Titus ruled that Trump had the legal authority to rescind the executive order former President Obama announced in 2012. The order - designed to protect illegal immigrants who were brought to the United States as minors - was rescinded by Trump for a period of six months until Congress could find a more permanent solution.

Diplomat whose tip prompted FBI’s Russia-probe has tie to Clintons
The Australian diplomat whose tip in 2016 prompted the Russia-Trump investigation previously arranged one of the largest foreign donations to Bill and Hillary Clinton’s charitable efforts, documents show.
Former Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer’s role in securing $25 million in aid from his country to help the Clinton Foundation fight AIDS is chronicled in decade-old government memos archived on the Australian foreign ministry’s website.
Downer and former President Clinton jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding in February 2006 that spread out the grant money over four years for a project to provide screening and drug treatment to AIDS patients in Asia.
Downer, now Australia’s ambassador to London, provided the account of a conversation with Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos at a London bar in 2016 that became the official reason the FBI opened the Russia counterintelligence probe.
But lawmakers say the FBI didn’t tell Congress about Downer’s prior connection to the Clinton Foundation..

McNaughton’s Latest Painting Depicting Trump with U.S. Flag
A Utah artist is making a statement on the controversies surrounding the NFL protests in his latest work of art depicting President Trump holding an American flag.
Jon McNaughton, an artist who is no stranger to controversy, released his latest painting last Tuesday titled Respect the Flag—showing a somber-looking Trump holding a battered American flag close to his heart while standing on a football field.
“It’s Donald Trump standing on a football field, and he’s picked up the American Flag that’s been trampled,” McNaughton told KSTU. “It’s got grass stains on it, and he’s trying to wipe off some of the mud, and he’s looking at everybody and saying ‘What are you doing? Why did you do this?’”

If Andrew McCabe lied, could he be charged like Michael Flynn?
The Justice Department’s inspector general is reportedly close to releasing a report on its investigation into the handling of the Clinton Foundation. FBI Director Christopher Wray reportedly asked deputy director Andrew McCabe to step down in light of some of the findings of the inspector general.
One aspect of the reported findings, however, stands out. According to these reports, investigators believed that McCabe misled them about his approval of a leak to the media on the Clinton investigation. An alleged false or misleading statement by McCabe could rekindle questions about how the Justice Department addresses alleged false statements within its own ranks.
Ultimately, Inspector General Michael Horowitz has the authority to refer a matter to criminal investigators investigators in cases of false statements or other crimes. He can also refer matters to state bars in cases of professional misconduct by lawyers. He could do either in the matter of McCabe if investigators conclude that McCabe intentionally misled them. However, if history is any guide, McCabe is unlikely to find himself facing a charge.
It is a perceived luxury enjoyed by federal prosecutors that routinely charge others with even borderline false statements but rarely face such charges themselves. While most prosecutors adhere to the highest ethical standards, a minority of Justice Department lawyers have been accused of false or misleading statements in federal cases. However, they are virtually never charged with false statements by their colleagues.

Kansas Republicans Are Standing Up to Transgender Lies, Protecting Kids From Harm
In 1856, a new political party held its convention in Philadelphia. They called themselves “Republicans.”
As violent skirmishes in “bleeding Kansas” foreshadowed civil war, the delegates took their stand, resolving that “it is both the right and the imperative duty of Congress to prohibit in the territories those twin relics of barbarism—polygamy, and slavery.”
This legacy of moral clarity and courage is the inheritance of every Republican. It was in that spirit that the delegates at this year’s State Convention of the Kansas Republican Party passed a resolution regarding human sexual identity.
The delegates at the convention affirmed “God’s design for gender as determined by biological sex and not by self-perception,” and resolved to “oppose efforts to validate transgender identity.” They declared that “public schools should not undermine the values of parents who do not agree with transgenderism; and that students have a reasonable expectation of privacy and safety at school.”

Traffic Delays Expected during St. Patrick’s Day Festivities
The Ocean City Police Department is reminding citizens to expect traffic delays this St. Patrick’s Day weekend, as the Delmarva Irish-American Club host their Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival. The tradition, which has become one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades in Maryland, will take place on Saturday, March 17, 2018. The parade begins at 12 noon at 57th Street and will march south on Coastal Highway to the 45th Street Shopping Center.
In order to offer an ample amount of space for the parade’s participating floats, bands and motorized units, southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 66th Street to 43rd Street. Northbound traffic will remain open, however, no left turns or U-turns will be allowed along the parade route from the northbound lane including 62nd Street.
Residents and visitors will see traffic delays on southbound Coastal Highway as early as 9:30 a.m. and should expect congestion until after 1 p.m. To avoid traffic delays, viewers and visitors are urged to arrive before 10:30 a.m. Ocean City Police are recommending motorists entering the Town of Ocean City use Maryland Route 50, as traffic is not expected to be as heavy in the southern end of town.
In addition, heavy pedestrian traffic is also expected along the parade route and in surrounding areas. Pedestrians are encouraged toWalk Smart, use crosswalks and cross with caution.
