Seattle Elites Hire PR Firm For Damage Control On Homeless, Heroin, & Now HIV Epidemics
Rather than use their wealth to actually solve the problems that plague Seattle, area elites have banded together to hire a public relations firm to spread misinformation in an effort to downplay the decline of the once great city.
These people include Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer, whose combined wealth exceeds $100 Billion. A stroke of a pen onto a check by either could solve every problem facing Seattle, but they’d rather kick the can down the road and watch the city deteriorate further.
Former Seattle city council candidate Christopher Rufo is now an investigative reporter for City Journal. He had dropped out from the city council race last year after receiving threats against himself and his family for being a non communist running for office.
His most recent article uncovers the paper trail and unveils the PR campaign that was drafted by Pyramid Communications, called “Seattle For All,” and shows how they are deceiving the public:
Since the release of Eric Johnson’s documentarySeattle Is Dying, which depicts an epidemic of street homelessness, addiction, crime, and disorder, city elites have launched a coordinated information campaign targeted at voters frustrated with the city’s response to homelessness. Earlier this month, leaked documents revealed that a group of prominent nonprofits—the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Campion Advocacy Fund, the Raikes Foundation, and the Ballmer Group—hired a PR firm, Pyramid Communications, to conduct polling, create messaging, and disseminate the resulting content through a network of silent partners in academia, the press, government, and the nonprofit sector. The campaign, #SeattleForAll, is a case study in what writer James Lindsay calls “idea laundering”—creating misinformation and legitimizing it as objective truth through repetition in sympathetic media.

Jussie Smollet Suffers Night Terrors Over 2 Nigerian Bros Dressed in MAGA Hats Paid to Beat His A$$
This “washed up actor” really needs some serious help. Not even Michelle Obama can lift this nut out of the depths of his fantasy.
Jussie Smollet’s brother says the actor suffers night terrors over the faked beating by two Nigerian brothers he paid off to dress like angry Trump-supporting homophobes to beat his azz in a Chicago street at 2 AM. The kids even practiced the fake assault.
What a kook.
Jojo Smollett, 41, wrote a lengthy op-ed-style defense for BET titled, “What If Jussie Is Telling The Truth?”
In it he called his brother an “exceptional individual” and “unusually good, soulful and spiritual man” — while slamming suggestions he staged the attack in January as “ludicrous.”

Catholic farm family fights to stay out of gay-wedding business
All Steve and Bridget Tennes want is to sell their apples, peaches and blueberries at a Michigan farmers market without being required to get into the same-sex wedding business, and they are hoping for an assist from Colorado baker Jack Phillips.
The Tenneses, who make their home on the Country Mill Farm with their six children, contend that their Catholic faith has been maligned by East Lansing officials who have sought to bar them from the city’s farmers market over their refusal to host same-sex ceremonies on their property.
That is where Mr. Phillips comes in. It was government animus — in that case, the state of Colorado — toward the Masterpiece Cakeshop owner that swung the Supreme Court’s decision last year in his favor after he refused to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding. If anything, the hostility displayed by East Lansing officials is worse, said John Bursch, senior counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom.

Is Logic the same thing as Common Sense?
1 - Eleven teens die each day because of texting while driving. Maybe it's time to raise the age of Smart phone ownership to 21.
2 - If gun control laws actually worked, Chicago would be Mayberry.
3 - The Second Amendment makes more women equal than the entire feminist movement.
4 - Legal gun owners have 300 million guns and probably a trillion rounds of ammo. Seriously, folks, if we were the problem, you'd know it.
5 - When JFK was killed, nobody blamed the rifle
6 - The NRA murders 0 people and receives $0 in government funds. Planned Parenthood kills 350,000 babies every year and receives $500,000,000 in tax dollars annually.
7 - I have no problem with vigorous background checks when it comes to firearms. While we're at it, let's do the same when it comes to immigration, Voter I.D and Candidates running for office. Also for welfare recipients.
8 - You don't need a smoke detector; that's what the fire department is for. Now...if you think that sounds stupid, you know how I feel when you say I don't need a gun.
9 - Folks keep talking about another Civil War. One side knows how to shoot and has a trillion bullets. The other side has crying closets and is confused about which bathroom to use. How do you think that's going to end?

O’Donnell: History Matters–The Battles of Lexington and Concord
This week marks the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord. Two hundred and forty-four years ago, farmers, tradesmen, laborers, and mariners–Americans of all stripes–came to together to defend themselves against the most professional army in the world.
April 19, 1775 marked the beginning of an epic journey for a band of brothers who risked EVERYTHING for a nation yet to be born. Over the course of nearly eight years, many of these Americans marched thousands of miles, often shoeless, unpaid, and starving, to fight for freedom and liberties most Americans today take for granted. Their resolute stand matters in light of multiple current events and threats to that American liberty.
In November 1774, King George III told Lord North, the Prime Minister of Great Britain that “blows must decide whether they [colonists but hereafter referred to as the Americans] are to be subject to this country, or independent.” The Crown moved toward using force. For years, friction had been building in the provinces. Throughout the fall of 1774, General Gage’s forces conducted a number of so-called powder alarms aimed at seizing gunpowder and munitions. Black powder in the colonies was precious and had to be imported since virtually no organic production existed in North America. The Crown put in place a ban on the importation of powder and firearms.

Pirro: Mueller Statement He Couldn’t Exonerate Trump a Show of ‘Political Whoremanship’
Saturday during the “Opening Statement” segment of “Justice” on the Fox News Channel, host Jeanine Pirro criticized Department of Justice special counsel Robert Mueller for including the statement that his report did not exonerate President Donald Trump of obstructing justice. Instead, it stated that there wasn’t enough evidence to proceed charges.
Pirro said such a statement should not have been included and she called it a show of “political whoremanship” because she viewed as an effort to pave the way for Congress to proceed with investigations.
“They will seize upon the language that you cannot indict a sitting president, which is simply the law,” Pirro said. “Yet Mueller comes out and says he cannot exonerate the president of obstruction. There was not sufficient evidence to bring a charge. If there’s not sufficient evidence to bring a charge, that should have been the end of it.”

Nurse diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer after spitting up blood now cancer-free thanks to innovative technology
A nurse who went to the doctor for symptoms of fatigue in 2013 said she realized it was probably something more than vitamin D deficiency when she started coughing up blood. But Karie Fisher, of Colorado, wasn’t expecting to learn that she was facing stage 4 esophageal cancer, an illness which accounts for just 1 percent of all cancers diagnosed in the U.S.
“I lived in a very rural area at the time, so [esophageal cancer] wasn’t on anybody’s radar,” Fisher, who was 43 at the time of her diagnosis, told Fox News. “I spit up a little bit of blood at one point and I knew that was not good, so I went to the ER and ended up being life-flighted to Denver.”
Fisher said she was hospitalized for 10 days in Denver, and on the eighth day, she learned of her diagnosis and that the cancer had spread to her liver. She was reportedly told she was terminal, which is when she found Dr. Toufic Kachaamy at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Phoenix.

NYT: The Tables Have Turned -- Time To Investigate The FBI, Steele And The Rest Of The 'Witch Hunters'
As we now shift from the "witch hunt" against Trump to 'investigating the investigators' who spied on him - remember this; Donald Trump was supposed to lose the 2016 election by almost all accounts. And had Hillary won, as expected, none of this would have seen the light of day.
We wouldn't know that a hyper-partisan FBI had spied on the Trump campaign, as Attorney General William Barr put it during his April 10 Congressional testimony.
We wouldn't know that a Clinton-linked operative, Joseph Mifsud, seeded Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos with the rumor that Russia had 'Dirt' on Hillary Clinton - which would later be coaxed out of Papadopoulos by a Clinton-linked Australian ambassador, Alexander Downer, and that this apparent 'setup' would be the genesis of the FBI's "operation crossfire hurricane" operation against the Trump campaign.

TWO SPACECRAFT IN FRONT OF THE SUN
On April 19th, Northrop-Grumman's Cygnus spacecraft arrived at the International Space Station, where it was grappled by the station's robotic Canadarm2. Shortly thereafter, the two spacecraft sped over France at 28,000 km/h. "It is at this precise moment that I took a photo of their transit in front of the sun," reports astro-photographer Thierry Legault.
Cygnus has since been bolted onto the space station's docking port where it can disgorge 7,600 pounds of supplies and experiments. Among its science payloads are mice and free-flying robots.

Judicial Watch Statement on the Mueller Report
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton made the following statement in response to the “Mueller Report” released Friday by the Justice Department:
President Trump has been vindicated. The Mueller investigation failed to find any evidence to support the big lie that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government and failed miserably to prove any obstruction.
We’re pleased that Attorney General Barr saw through the 448-page smear of President Trump by highlighting the simple conclusion that there is no collusion and no obstruction.
Neither Mueller, the Obama FBI, DOJ, CIA, State Department, nor the Deep State ever had a good-faith basis to pursue President Trump on Russia collusion. Russia collusion wasn’t just a hoax, it was criminal abuse, which is why Judicial Watch has fought and will continue to fight for Russiagate documents in federal court.
The targeting of President Trump served to protect Hillary Clinton and her enablers/co-conspirators in Obama administration from prosecution. Attorney General Barr can begin restoring the credibility of the Justice Department by finally initiating a thorough investigation of the Clinton email and related pay-to-play scandals and the abuses behind the targeting of President Trump.
Judicial Watch has long called for the shutdown of the Mueller special counsel operation and has pursued dozens of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits in connection with the illicit targeting and other abuses of President Trump. Judicial Watch FOIA litigation exposed, for example:

REMINDER: MD 90 OVERNIGHT CLOSURES APRIL 22-25 IN OCEAN PINES
Guardrail Repairs, Inlet/Pipe Cleaning Require Full Closure Between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. for Approximately One Week
Beginning April 22, the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will perform guardrail work, drainage inlet cleaning and removal of debris on MD 90 (Ocean City Expressway) between US 113 (Worcester Highway) and St. Martin’s Neck Road in Worcester County. The 5.5-mile project will take up to five days to complete and will necessitate nighttime closures and detours of MD 90. The work should be complete by Friday, April 26.
Crews will work each night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. and MD 90 will be closed and detoured during those work hours. Local access will be maintained during work. Motorists are encouraged to use US 50 (Ocean Gateway) into lower Ocean City as an alternate route.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our contractor. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on the road and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Drive like you work here and slowdown in construction zones.
For a list of all major MDOT SHA projects, click on Road Ready, MDOT SHA's electronic construction brochure. For a look at real-time commute conditions, log onto md511.maryland.gov.
CNN OP-ED ADMITS ‘MUELLER’S REPORT LOOKS BAD FOR OBAMA’
With Congressional Democrats tantruming over redactions, presidential candidates out-virtue-signalling one another in denigration of Trump (for what it is unclear) calling for impeachment (again, for what is unclear) and the liberal media desperate for a distraction from the embarrassment of their two-year harassment in lieu of the main headline – “no collusion, no obstruction;” few if any among the mainstream have noticed (or mentioned) one tiny little detail in the Mueller Report… the ‘confirmed’ interference by Russia in the 2016 US Election took place – knowingly – under President Obama’s watch.
But amid all this sound and fury, something odd happened. The ‘powers-that-be’ at CNN – ground zero for the Trump’s-a-traitorous-Putin-Puppet propaganda – have allowed the publication of an op-ed amid their hallowed pages that casts blame at the anointed one. CNN contributor Scott Jennings – soon to be exiled from every social media platform we suspect – dared to point out that the Mueller report looks bad for Obama.
“The partisan warfare over the Mueller report will rage, but one thing cannot be denied: Former President Barack Obama looks just plain bad. On his watch, the Russians meddled in our democracy while his administration did nothing about it.”

Mike Huckabee Slams April Ryan For Inciting Violence Against Sarah Sanders
The left has truly gone insane.
There’s no question. No doubt. They’re behaving like psychopaths, who project everything they know that is wrong with them on someone else.
Perhaps this is why they’ve been accusing their ideological opponents of “inciting violence” for simply criticizing ideas. Because they’re always the ones inciting violence!
This was demonstrated perfectly by a mind-blowingly hypocritical response from April Ryan of CNN recently after she suggested that White House Press Secretary’s head should be “lopped off.”

5-year-old Michigan boy calls 911 to ask for food from McDonald's
WYOMING, Mich. —A 5-year-old Michigan boy had a craving for McDonald's but his grandmother was sleeping, so he called 911 and made a request.
WZZM-TV in Grand Rapids reports Iziah Hall, of Wyoming, asked the dispatcher: "Can you bring me McDonald's?" Dispatcher Sara Kuberski says she told him no but reached out to the police.
Wyoming police officer Dan Patterson says the April 14 request made him laugh, so he stopped at McDonald's on his way to check on Iziah's home in the western Michigan city.

George Mason University President Has 'Painful' News For Students Upset With Kavanaugh Hiring
George Mason University students upset about Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh teaching a class in England this Summer have, in so many words, been told by president Angel Cabrera to take a hike.
Earlier this month, triggered students at GMU demanded that Kavanaugh be removed from the faculty despite his class being taught in Runnymede, England — where the Magna Carta was signed. The students argued that women would be deeply harmed by Kavanaugh's presence among the faculty due to the sexual assault allegation brought against him by Christine Blasey Ford without corroborating evidence during his confirmation hearing.
"The hiring of Kavanaugh threatens the mental well-being of all survivors on this campus," a female student told The College Fix at the time.
According to HuffPost, GMU president Angel Cabrera told students that while he understands they are upset about Kavanaugh's hiring, the university will not reverse course.

Methodists edge toward breakup over LGBT policies
There's at least one area of agreement among conservative, centrist and liberal leaders in the United Methodist Church: America's largest mainline Protestant denomination is on a path toward likely breakup over differences on same-sex marriage and ordination of LGBT pastors.
The differences have simmered for years, and came to a head in February at a conference in St. Louis where delegates voted 438-384 for a proposal called the Traditional Plan, which strengthens bans on LGBT-inclusive practices. A majority of U.S.-based delegates opposed that plan and favored LGBT-friendly options, but they were out-voted by U.S. conservatives teamed with most of the delegates from Methodist strongholds in Africa and the Philippines.
Many believe the vote will prompt an exodus from the church by liberal congregations that are already expressing their dissatisfaction over the move.
Some churches have raised rainbow flags in a show of LGBT solidarity. Some pastors have vowed to defy the strict rules and continue to allow gay weddings in Methodist churches. Churches are withholding dues payments to the main office in protest, and the UMC's receipts were down 20 percent in March, according to financial reports posted online.

'Medicare for All' goes way beyond other countries’ universal healthcare plans
The Medicare for All Act, the latest proposal to have the government become the only payer of healthcare services, is often billed by its supporters as a step toward realizing a similar system that other developed nations have in place.
“I want to end the international embarrassment of the United States of America being the only major country on earth that doesn’t guarantee healthcare to all people as a right and not a privilege,” Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., said when he unveiled the most recent version of the legislation last week.
But while other developed nations do have universal healthcare coverage, they get there in a different way than the plan laid out in the Medicare for All Act, and differ significantly from country to country.
The bill backed by Sanders and by others running for the presidency — Democrat Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Kamala Harris of California, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, and Cory Booker of New Jersey — would throw out private health insurance in favor of everyone being enrolled in a government plan. It would do away with all out-of-pocket costs for healthcare services and instead have the government pay for services in full. The plan also would cover more services than Medicare does now, including prescription drugs, dental care, vision care, abortion, and maternity care.
The proposal has no precedent among other nations.

Netherlands: Muslim councilor wants halal beach: “Muslims feel uncomfortable with scantily clad, ugly people”
After the halal beach is opened, how long will it be before the non-halal beaches are closed down?
“Muslim councilor wants halal beach in The Hague: ‘Muslims feel uncomfortable with scantily clad, ugly people,'” translated from “Islamitisch raadslid wil halalstrand in Den Haag: ‘Moslims voelen zich onprettig bij schaars geklede, lelijke mensen,’” by Graziella Gioia, HLN, April 19, 2019:

A nudist beach? Then also a “halal beach” in The Hague. At least, if it is up to Party of the Unity Councilor Arnoud van Doorn. According to the controversial Dutch politician, Muslims feel “unpleasant with scantily clad, ugly people.”More
According to Van Doorn, there is a need for a so-called “halal beach”. Muslims don’t feel at home on most beaches, he says. “Not only Muslims, but also many other residents feel uncomfortable with the appearance of very scantily dressed and often unesthetically designed beachgoers,” he writes to the city council of The Hague. “In addition, women in particular indicate that they are increasingly confronted with unwanted allusions and advances by people of the opposite sex during beach visits.”
Pint-sized Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez impersonator cracks up the internet
An 8-year-old actress’ impersonation of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is taking social media by storm.
“Like, I want to talk about, like, climate change. Because, like, there’s no doubt cow farts are making the climate change,” says the young girl, who sports red lipstick and AOC-style glasses. “Like, in July, the climate was 96 degrees and in February the climate was 36 degrees. OMG, like that’s a huge change in the climate in only,” — she pauses to count her fingers — “four months!”
The article goes on to state the following:
“At this rate, the world is going to end in exactly 12 years.”

APRIL RYAN TAKES HEAT FOR SAYING SARAH SANDERS’ HEAD SHOULD BE ‘LOPPED OFF,’ THEN ‘PLAYS THE VICTIM’
CNN political analyst April Ryan caught heat from former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and others for using a gruesome analogy while calling for White House press secretary Sarah Sanders to be fired.
“Not only does she not have credibility, she lied,” Ryan said on a CNN panel Thursday night, during a discussion about Sanders’ 2017 usage of the word “countless” when referring to FBI agents who had lost confidence in their former boss, James Comey.
“She out and out lied, and the people, the American people can’t trust her. They can’t trust what’s said from the president’s mouthpiece-spokesperson from the people’s house. Therefore, she should be let go. She should be fired, end of story,” she said. “When there was a lack of credibility there, you have to start and start lopping the heads off. It’s fire me Thursday or fire me Good Friday. She needs to go.”

Williams College Student Newspaper Endorses Racially Segregated Housing
Williams College’s student newspaper echoed a proposal by a student group called Coalition Against Racist Education Now (CARE Now), which called on the school to implement racially segregated housing in order to make the college “a more inclusive institution,” according to The Williams Record.
CARE Now had recently released a list of twelve demands in an open letter, which included calling on the school’s trustees to fulfill their “obligation to the well-being and safety of its students, faculty and staff” by separating minority students from the rest of the campus body in order “take steps toward becoming a more inclusive institution.”
“The College can work toward making the College a less harmful place for those of marginalized identities and to take steps toward becoming a more inclusive institution,” read the student newspaper, stressing the importance of looking toward “CARE Now’s leadership as we collectively examine how to combat institutional violence at the College.”
The student newspaper then attempted to justify its support for separating black students from white students via housing by claiming that minority students feel “tokenized” on campus, as there are too many white students within their immediate surroundings.

Welcome for migrants cools in Mexican town weary of caravans
So many migrants have stopped in the southern Mexican town of Mapastepec in recent months that longstanding public sympathy for Central Americans traveling northward is starting to wane.
Hundreds of migrants have been camped out for weeks in Mapastepec, where locals say six migrant caravans have arrived since last Easter. By far the biggest was a group of thousands in October that drew the anger of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Ana Gabriela Galvan, a local resident who helped to provide food to migrants in the October caravan, told Reuters the small town in the impoverished state of Chiapas, which borders Guatemala, felt overwhelmed by the number of Central Americans.
"It's really bad, because they're pouring onto our land," she said, noting that some locals were reluctant to leave their homes. "They ask for money, and if you offer food, they don't want it; they want money and sometimes you don't have any."

Elizabeth Warren wants to cancel up to $50,000 in student debt for 42 million
Sen. Elizabeth Warren is unveiling a student loan forgiveness proposal she claims will cancel up to $50,000 of debt for more than 42 million Americans. That's in addition to her plan for free college tuition at two and four-year institutions.
Together, those initiatives would cost $1.25 trillion over a decade, according to her team, covered by her "ultra-millionare tax" — an annual 2 percent tax on wealth above $50 million and a 1 percent tax on wealth more than $1 billion.
The presidential Democratic candidate's plan claims it would assist more than 95 percent of Americans with student loans to pay off, and eliminate all debt of more than 75 percent of Americans.

A spokesman for Mayor Pugh said she’s continuing to see doctors and recover from pneumonia and does intend to return to work.
Pugh is under fire for receiving half a million dollars from the University of Maryland Medical System for her “Healthy Holly” children’s book while serving on the system’s board. She also received money for her book from other entities that do business with the city.

Cummings says Trump will be "emboldened" if Democrats "do nothing" after Mueller report
Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings, the Democratic chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said President Trump will be emboldened if congressional Democrats, fearing a political backlash, "do nothing" in the wake of the release of special counsel Robert Mueller's report.
"If we do nothing here, what is going to happen is that the president is going to be emboldened. He's going to be emboldened because he's said, 'Well, I got away with that,'" Cummings said on "Face the Nation" Sunday.
"We cannot afford that. Our democracy cannot afford that," he added.
On Thursday the Justice Department released a redacted version of Mueller's 448-page report, which did not establish any Trump campaign associate conspired with the Russian government during the 2016 election, but nevertheless detailed the president's repeated attempts to derail and end the special counsel's investigation.

Cats Do Recognize Their Names - They Just Don't Care
A new study published Thursday in Scientific Reports claims domestic cats do recognize their own names — they just couldn't care less.
For the study, scientists first had cat owners repeatedly say four words that were similar to their cats' names.
Next the owners said the actual names, and the researchers looked at whether individual cats appeared able to distinguish their names from the similar sounding words.
The cats had more pronounced responses to their own names — moving their ears, heads or tails, or meowing.
Then the researchers had strangers speak the names to the cats to test their response. Though their responses were less prominent than when their owners called them, they still appeared to recognize their names.

Mike Huckabee Slams Mitt Romney: ‘Makes Me Sick’ You Could Have Been President
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is not at all pleased with Utah Sen. Mitt Romney’s constant attacks on President Donald Trump and even said he is sickened by the idea that Romney could have become President of the United States.
Romney once again lashed out at President Trump in a statement on Friday, reacting to the Robert Mueller report. Romney stated that he is “sickened” by the level of dishonesty from Trump’s administration. Huckabee, however, was “sick” about something else, MSN reported.
“Know what makes me sick, Mitt? Not how disingenuous you were to take @realDonaldTrump $$ and then 4 yrs later jealously trash him & then love him again when you begged to be Sec of State, but makes me sick that you got GOP nomination and could have been @POTUS,” Huckabee wrote in a tweet on Friday:

Bill Cassidy Designing Republican Federalist Healthcare Plan
Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview Thursday that Republicans need to counter Medicare for All with their own proposal.
Cassidy revealed that he continues to work on his own proposal, based on the successful CHIP program, that would allow states to design a healthcare plan that works best for their citizens.
Sen. Cassidy, a doctor and one of the Senate’s foremost experts on health care, spoke with Breitbart News regarding his many many proposals to lower healthcare costs, as President Donald Trump recently declared that the Republican party would become the party of health care.
Cassidy suggested that Republicans need to engage in a two-pronged approach: #1 in which the GOP can pass bipartisan legislation to increase healthcare price transparency and curb surprise bills, and #2 in which Republicans offer a dynamic alternative to Medicare for All.
The Lousiana Republican contended the GOP has the prevailing ideas on health care and can win on health care in the face of a rising national interest in a single-payer, government-run healthcare program such as Medicare for All.
