We can learn a lot about ourselves by looking to the past. History not only provides us with a nostalgic glimpse at how things used to be — like with these classic childhood toys — but its lessons can still teach us things today. Many of us fondly refer to “the good old days” when times were purer and life was simpler.
They used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families used to all pee in a pot. Once a day it was taken and sold to the tannery.
If you had to do this to survive, you were “piss poor.”
But worse than that were the really poor folks who couldn’t even afford to buy a pot. They “didn’t have a pot to piss in” and were considered the lowest of the low.

Biden Says He Regrets Not Running For President
Joe Biden regrets not running for president, the Hill reports.
"I had planned on running for president and although it would have been a very difficult primary, I think I could have won," the former vice president said during a speech Friday at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. "Maybe not, I don't know."
"I was fairly confident that if I had become the Democratic nominee, I would have had a good chance to be president," Biden continued.

10 Staggering Photos Of An Abandoned Mansion Hiding In Delaware
The Jehu Reed house is hidden in plan sight, right at the intersection of Bowers Beach Rd and Route One (Bay Rd) in Little Heaven, Delaware. This landmark and historic building is often overlooked by people who pass it, whether they drive by daily or just once a year for vacation. The house itself has a rich history and, very unfortunately, is facing imminent demolition.
The Jehu Reed House is on the National Registry of Historic Places, and when the bulldozers move in, we’ll be losing yet another piece of the First State’s incredible history. Luckily, several Delaware photographers have recognized the significance of the house, and in an effort to preserve its history, have extensively photographed the mansion and its grounds.
The property where the house now stands belonged to the related Newell-Sipple-Reed families beginning in 1685.

Report: Trump Gave Germany's Merkel $300B 'Invoice' for NATO Expenses
President Donald Trump reportedly mocked up a £300 billion NATO invoice for Germany's Angela Merkel, handing it to her during their meeting, according to the U.K.'s Independent, but Merkel "ignored the provocation" and "outrageous" move.
"The concept behind putting out such demands is to intimidate the other side, but the chancellor took it calmly and will not respond to such provocations," a German source told the U.K.'s "The Sunday Times."
The £300 billion total was reportedly estimated by Trump administration officials at his behest to be how much Germany has underspent on defense for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, including interest of £50 billion over the past 12 years.
The report comes more than a week after President Trump slammed media reports on Twitter as "fake news" over his "GREAT meeting" with Merkel.

Thomas Savage - American Dreamer
This is the story of Thomas Savage who was probably the first permanent English settler here on Virginia's Eastern Shore.
I have heard the story of Pocahontas many times but until recently I had not heard about a young man who played an important part in her story before becoming one of the first English settlers on Virginia's Eastern Shore.
Thomas Savage was just thirteen when he sailed from England in 1607 for the Jamestown colony with Captain Christopher Newport. Some accounts suggest that Thomas was passed off as the son of
King James I, others represented him as Captain Newport's son. There actually is no record of where Thomas came from or who his parents actually were. In those days children were often indentured by that early age. Young people without any prospects could go to country fairs to look for work and sign service contracts for a year or longer. Those wanting to emigrate to the New Word usually signed up for a seven year stint to work off their passage. Thomas started out his journey expecting be a laborer in the new colony. But the Captain recognized his intelligence and presumably an amiable and thoughtful personality.
Once they arrived at Jamestown, Virginia, Captain Newport joined Captain John Smith on a trade mission with the local native tribes. Thomas Savage was given, along with other gifts, to chief Powhatan who reciprocated with a bushel bag of beans and his own young servant Namontack. Apparently this type of exchange had become a common practice. The boys were to be taught their hosts' language so they could serve as interpreters, and spies. Imagine the conversation that must have taken place when Captain Newport talked Thomas into this job. Maybe he thought it would be a great adventure. Maybe he hoped that it would be easier work than cutting down trees and plowing fields.

Senate votes to let ISPs sell your data w/o Consent
The Senate took the first step Thursday toward blocking rules that would restrict how some big tech companies share and sell your personal data, a prospect that digital activists said would be a huge loss for online privacy.
On a party-line vote of 50-48, the Senate passed a joint resolution that would bar the Federal Communications Commission from enforcing rules it approved last year — when it was under Democratic control — that sought to ban internet service providers like cable and cellphone companies from selling your data without your consent.
The vote has little immediate impact: The measure would have to pass the House and be signed by President Donald Trump before it could become law. No timetable for House action has been set. In the meantime, the FCC rules that the measure would overturn aren't scheduled to go into effect until December.
If it becomes law, the measure, in effect, would preserve a two-track regulatory system that treats ISPs — the companies that connect you to the internet, which are overseen by the FCC — differently from web companies like Google and Facebook, which are regulated by the Federal Trade Commission.
The rules passed last year by the Democratic majority on the FCC would require ISPs to ask you explicitly to "opt in" to letting them share personal information. On web-based ad networks, data sharing is usually turned on by default and you have to dig through menus and setting and opt out of it.

Rand Paul takes victory lap on GOP health bill
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) quickly declared victory on Friday, praising conservatives for "standing up against ObamaCare Lite."
“I applaud House conservatives for keeping their word to the American people,” Paul said in a statement.
Republican leaders pulled their bill to repeal and replace ObamaCare on Friday afternoon, acknowledging that it was headed toward defeat.
Paul — who has been a top antagonist of the House bill — added that "I look forward to passing full repeal of ObamaCare in the very near future.”
Paul and other House conservatives have offered an alternative repeal bill that mirrors 2015 legislation cleared by Congress but vetoed by then-President Barack Obama.

Media Refuse to Blame Anti-Trump Protesters for Violence at Rallies
Anti-Trump protesters launched violent attacks on supporters of President Donald Trump at rallies across California on Saturday, but the media uniformly downplayed their role.
In headlines reporting the violence, media outlets either seemed to blame the Trump supporters for the violence, or used passive language that made the violence seem to have erupted as a natural consequence of the events.
Ironically, the text of the actual articles often made clear that anti-Trump protesters were to blame, but the headlines — which create a stronger impression, and are all that a casual reader may notice — uniformly refused to place blame where it belonged.
Instead of “Anti-Trump protesters attack peaceful pro-Trump rally,” or some variant thereof, readers in California saw the following:

Sixth-grader going to bus stop cited for trespassing
A sixth-grader in Massachusetts was served by police with no-trespass orders after neighbors grew wary of the girl cutting through their properties to get to and from her school bus stop.
The mother of 11-year-old Autumn Blanchard told the Cape Cod Times her daughter received three pink no-trespass notices from the Harwich Police Department on March 2.
Krystal Blanchard said she was unaware neighbors had an issue until the police arrived at her door and asked why she wasn't informed by the neighbors or school officials, who also knew about the problem.
Blanchard said she wonders if the fact her family is new to the area and she and her daughter have brightly colored hair may be causing neighbors to discriminate against them. The mother has pink hair and piercings, while her daughter's hair has multiple colors.

Paul Ryan unmasks himself as biggest threat to GOP, Trump presidency
House Speaker Paul Ryan didn’t just step in it again, big time, on the Ryancare bill this week. The Wisconsin Republican unmasked himself as the man most capable of demolishing his own party and the Trump presidency.
The Ryan American Healthcare Bill is a piece of moderate GOP trash that Mr. Ryan owns and has been trying and failing miserably to sell as the long-promised Republican repeal and replacement of Obamacare.
By telling conservatives in the House and across America to go have intimate relations with themselves and not meddle in the medical-care matters of him and the rest of what passes as House GOP leadership, he has done American politics a favor.
Specifically, he has convinced many conservatives that his time as maximum leader of House Republicans might best end before even more damage is done to the other lawmakers in his party, to President Trump and to the brand of the party and the president.

Report: Steve Bannon Says American Health Care Act 'Written by the Insurance Industry'
Gabriel Sherman writes that White House chief strategist and former Breitbart News executive chairman Steve Bannon has privately expressed concern that the American Health Care Act (AHCA) betrays the populist voters who put Donald Trump in the White House.
From New York Magazine:
The failure to repeal and replace Obamacare would be a stinging defeat for Trump. But it would be an even bigger defeat for Paul Ryan, who has all but staked his Speakership on passing this bill. And in the hall of mirrors that is Washington, the big winner to emerge out of the health-care debacle could be Steve Bannon. That’s because Bannon has been wagingwar against Ryan for years. For Bannon, Ryan is the embodiment of the “globalist-corporatist” Republican elite. A failed bill would be Bannon’s best chance yet to topple Ryan and advance his nationalist-populist economic agenda.
Publicly, Bannon has been working to help the bill pass. But privately he’s talked it down in recent days. According to a source close to the White House, Bannon said that he’s unhappy with the Ryan bill because it “doesn’t drive down costs” and was “written by the insurance industry.” While the bill strips away many of Obamacare’s provisions, it does not go as far as Bannon would wish to “deconstruct the administrative state” in the realm of health care. Furthermore, Bannon has been distancing himself from the bill to insulate himself from political fallout of it failing. He’s told people that Trump economic adviser Gary Cohn — a West Wing rival — has run point on it. (Bannon did not respond to a request for comment.)

A female high school student had immediate plans to bomb her school in Frederick County, Maryland, and shoot people, police say.
Nichole Cevario, 18, stockpiled bomb-making materials and had a shotgun to attack Catoctin High School on April 5, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

Caroline County Man Charged with Possession of a Destructive Device
Caroline County Man Charged withPossession of a Destructive Device
Caroline County, March 27, 2017, Deputy State Fire Marshals obtained and served an arrest warrant for “Possession of a Destructive Device” on Talley Kyle Ober (21) on March 26, 2017. Ober turned himself into Deputy State Fire Marshals on Sunday at the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office in Denton. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Caroline County Commissioner’s Office where he was later released due to an upcoming court date.
The charges on Ober stem from a search warrant that was served at his Ridgely home in November of 2016 where Deputy State Fire Marshals charged Ober then with Impersonation of First Responders. During the execution of the search warrant Deputy State Fire Marshals discovered the destructive device in his room as well as stolen firefighting equipment from the Ridgely VFD elsewhere on the property. Ober was charged with theft of the firefighting equipment back in January.
Bomb Technicians from the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal rendered the destructive device safe prior to sending it to the FBI’s Explosives Laboratory in Quantico, VA. Lab results determined the device contained explosive material.
If convicted of the “Possession of a Destructive Device” charge, Ober faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine. Ober has an upcoming court appearance for the prior charges.

Economic shocks are more likely to be lethal in America
New research shows the mortality of middle-aged whites continues to rise
AMERICAN workers without college degrees have suffered financially for decades—as has been known for decades. More recent is the discovery that their woes might be deadly. In 2015 Anne Case and Angus Deaton, two (married) scholars, reported that in the 20 years to 1998, the mortality rate of middle-aged white Americans fell by about 2% a year. But between 1999 and 2013, deaths rose. The reversal was all the more striking because, in Europe, overall middle-age mortality continued to fall at the same 2% pace. By 2013 middle-aged white Americans were dying at twice the rate of similarly aged Swedes of all races (see chart). Suicide, drug overdoses and alcohol abuse were to blame.

Bus attendant misses sleeping kid
Following an incident last week when a 4-year-old got left on a school bus that was dropping students off at Pocomoke Elementary, the Worcester County Public School System is taking steps to prevent a similar occurrence in the future.
Carrie Sterrs, public relations coordinator for Worcester County Schools, said video footage showed the pre-K student taking her seat on the bus and shortly thereafter lying down to sleep. When the bus arrived at Pocomoke Elementary School, the girl was asleep while an attendant on the back of the bus began to usher students off, Sterrs said.
“She’s going from seat to seat and then something occurs outside of the bus that drew her attention,” she said. “While she was looking out the window at the students outside of the bus she had passed that seat.”

The Useful And The Useless
You’re standing on the prow of an ocean liner cutting through the icy waters of the North Atlantic. A huge iceberg looms dead ahead. You’ve seen it for some time, but now it’s too close, and the liner too big and fast, to avoid the collision. You quietly make your way to the lifeboats, knowing they’re the only chance for saving yourself and your loved ones. Below decks, an orchestra plays a waltz and oblivious revelers dance.
Most people don’t foresee the world’s inevitable collision with the iceberg of unsustainable fantasy. When it happens, they’ll respond predictably, with panic and cowardice. Those who’ve seen it coming and moved to the lifeboats will experience their own roiling emotions, attenuated by recognition of the logic behind the disaster. While the forewarned have dreaded impact, many will also welcome it, in the way one welcomes an unpleasant medical procedure: let’s get it over with. The motive is not malice, but conviction born of experience that actions have consequences and there’s no escaping them. After seemingly inexplicable and interminable delay, consequences shall arrive, amplified by the tawdry stratagems that promoted delay.
It will come as a surprise to many, but governments cannot suspend reality. Their arsenal, when things break down, comes down to their arsenal: the capacity to coerce. Violence or its threat enables governments to exact compliance. Proponents of government power invariably see themselves exercising it. Once the ship hits the iceberg, it will be obvious that governments’ guns are not wands, freeing citizens from the necessity of producing as much or more than they consume. They cannot compel innovators to innovate or producers to produce. While coercive power comes from one end of a gun, none of the powers that produce progress (and the gun) magically materialize at the other end.
It is said that America is a society divided. True enough, but the important question is: along what lines? Crisis and social breakdown will provide clarification: it’s governments and their beneficiaries versus producers. In other words, those who don’t do useful things versus those who do.

Cal Thomas: What the heck's the matter with Maryland?
A rough translation of Maryland’s state motto is “Strong Deeds, Gentle Words.” In the case of a 14-year-old girl who was recently raped and sodomized in a restroom at Rockville High School by two males students, both immigrants, one facing adeportation hearing, that motto in practice has been reversed.
The police report of the incident is so graphic that it cannot be printed in full, but the facts are these: Henry Sanchez, 18, a Guatemala native who has a pending “alien removal” case against him, and 17-year-old Jose Montano, who came to America from El Salvador eight months ago, have been charged with first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree sexual offenses.
The two are alleged to have dragged the 14-year-old girl into a boy’s restroom where they raped and sodomized her after she repeatedly screamed “no.”
Compounding the physical and possible long-term psychological damage to the girl is the response of school authorities and state legislators.
A letter sent to parents from Rockville High School officials said, “Ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming learning environment for all of our students is a top priority. Our staff remains vigilant in the monitoring of our school each and every day.”
Apparently not.

Impound lot loss closely tied with towing industry’s future
If Ocean City government ends its decades-long regulation of the local towing industry, tow rates will increase dramatically, car retrieval convenience will go down and visitors will suffer.
That’s what Chris Cropper, of Cropper & Sons Towing and Recovery, said after learning that the council was considering a new hands-off policy brought about by the planned redevelopment of the Public Works Department property. That is where the city’s impound lot is located and the construction of a new Public Works campus would leave no room for that.
Currently, tow companies must follow rules and rates set by the council nearly a decade ago. The standard tow is set at $150, and if a second tow truck is needed, the rate is at $75. The storage fee at the 65th Street impound lot is $10 a day, and $15 for each subsequent day.

South Africa accused of covering up grisly murder spree
WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT
Last month, British woman Sue Howarth and her husband Robert Lynn were woken at 2am by three men breaking into a window of their remote farm in Dullstroom, a small town in the northeast of South Africa, about 150 miles from the nearest capital city.
The couple, who had lived in the area for 20 years, were tied up, stabbed, and tortured with a blowtorch for several hours. The masked men stuffed a plastic bag down Howarth’s throat, and attempted to strangle her husband with a bag around his neck.
The couple were bundled into their own truck, still in their pyjamas, and driven to a roadside where they were shot. Howarth, 64, a former pharmaceutical company executive, was shot twice in the head. Lynn, 66, was shot in the neck.

Illegal immigrant 'strangled woman to death in her home'
An illegal immigrant is alleged to have strangled a 49-year-old woman to death inside her home in the Boston suburb of Worcester, Massachusetts earlier this month.
Sandra Hehir's body was found in her apartment on February 5, according to The Boston Globe.
The Worcester district attorney's office said it obtained DNA evidence which links Jose Melendez, 54, to the crime.
Melendez, who was arrested last week, has a history of run-ins with law enforcement.
He reportedly defaulted on probation in 2014 in a breaking and entering case, and he also faces charges in two drug cases in Worcester.
Melendez was arraigned on murder charges in Worcester District Court on Monday. His next hearing is scheduled for April 13.
He has also faced criminal charges in New York and Florida.

Conservative group calls for ouster of Ryan, GOP leaders after Obamacare repeal failure
A conservative group called for the ouster of House Speaker Paul D. Ryan and the rest of the GOP leadership team Friday afternoon, just hours after they saw their Obamacare repeal effort crash and burn.
David Bozell, president of ForAmerica, said Republicans had eight years to fashion a repeal bill and a GOP replacement, and the first time they were in a position to hold a substantive vote on their plan they failed.
“Not only does the leadership lack the political will, it demonstrates a consistent inability to market conservative principles and policy,” Mr. Bozell said.
Mr. Ryan pulled the health bill from the schedule rather than face a vote he was going to lose.
President Trump said they were 10 to 15 votes shy of the majority needed to pass it. Rather than force their troops to take a tough stand, he and Mr. Ryan decided to cancel the vote.

Trump "Endorses" Jeanine Pirro's Call For Paul Ryan To Step Down
Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro, whose show President Trump urged his followers on Twitter to watch earlier in the day, opened her program at 9pm on Saturday by calling for Speaker Paul Ryan's resignation.
"Ryan needs to step down as Speaker of the House. The reason, he failed to deliver the votes on his healthcare bill, the one trumpeted to repeal and replace ObamaCare, the one that he had 7 years to work on; the one he hid under lock and key in the basement of Congress; the one that had to be pulled to prevent the embarrassment of not having enough votes to pass." Pirro said in her opening statement.
"Speaker Ryan, you come in with all your swagger and experience and sell them a bill of goods which ends up a complete and total failure and you allow our president, in his first 100 days, to come out of the box like that, based on what?" Pirro said.
What made Pirro's fiery comments about Ryan especially notable is that they came hours after Trump tweeted to encourage his followers to watch "Justice with Judge Jeanine."

Protesters arrested for using pepper spray on Trump supporters during march
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. -- A scuffle broke out on a Southern California beach where supporters of President Donald Trump were marching when counter-protesters doused organizers with pepper spray, authorities said Saturday.
The violence erupted when the march of about 2,000 people at Bolsa Chica State Beach reached a group of about 30 counter-protesters, some of whom began spraying the irritant, said Capt. Kevin Pearsall of the California State Parks Police.
Sometime after 12:30 p.m. confrontations and scuffles occurred between pro-Trump and anti-Trump protesters, CBS Los Angeles reported. Three people were arrested on suspicion of illegal use of pepper spray, Pearsall said.
There were several other arrests, and two people suffered minor injuries. But Pearsall said he did not immediately have further details.

Illegal Immigrant Accused of Murdering Teacher
An illegal immigrant has been charged with the murder of a Massachusetts public school system employee.
Jose Melendez, 54, allegedly killed Sandra Hehir by strangulation in her Worcester apartment, where she was found, the Boston Globe reported.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials confirmed to Breitbart Texas that they have placed an immigration detainer on Melendez.
Melendez, according to police, also used the aliases “Alvarado” and “Segura” and had a long criminal history, with most recently being arrested in a neighboring region of the state.
In 2014, Melendez defaulted on probation after being convicted for breaking and entering, according to the Globe, and is currently charged in two drug-related crimes after he allegedly used a false name with Worcester police.

Judge Grants Oregon Resident the Right to Be Genderless
History was quietly made in Oregon this month when a judge granted a Portlander's request to become genderless.
Patch, a 27-year-old video game designer, is likely the first legally agender person in the United States.
The Multnomah County Court granted Patch a "General Judgment of Name and Sex Change" on March 10. In the same judgment, Patch was also allowed to change names, becoming mononymous — meaning only having one name instead of a given name and a surname.

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Larry Hogan today announced that his administration has reached an agreement with leaders in the Maryland General Assembly and Baltimore City to provide additional state funding to Baltimore City Public Schools, contingent upon new fiscal accountability requirements for the school system. The governor will submit a second supplemental budget, which will include $28.2 million in additional funding for K-12 public schools in Allegany ($793,000), Calvert ($240,000), Carroll ($1.6 million), Cecil ($190,000), Garrett ($456,000), Harford ($356,000), Kent ($215,000), Queen Anne’s ($22,000), Somerset ($455,000), and Talbot ($133,000) Counties, and Baltimore City ($23.7 million). The supplemental budget will be submitted to the legislature on Monday, March 27.
“Ensuring that every Maryland student has access to a world-class education is the number one priority of our administration, and I thank Mayor Pugh, Dr. Santelises, and members of the legislature for working with us to provide this support to schools in Baltimore City and ten jurisdictions across the state,” said Governor Hogan. “But more money isn’t the only answer – we are proud that this funding is part of an agreement with Baltimore City leadership to bring greater transparency and accountability to city school finances. This is what students, parents, teachers, and Maryland taxpayers deserve.”
Trump Promises More Jobs Returning To U.S. As One Communications ‘Behemoth’ Makes $25B Investment!
President Trump promised jobs on the campaign trail. And even before he took office, those jobs started materializing. Countless companies have made plans to spend millions or billions on investing in American jobs. Numerous employers are bringing back jobs at a rate no one could have predicted. The Trump job boom is in full swing. And the latest announcement is from Charter Communications.
Trump proclaimed the great news for Americans this week when he announced that Charter has made a deal to bring all of its overseas call centers back to the US. This is all included in a $25 billion investment expected to create 20,000 new jobs in the next four years.

Trump Advisers Actually Want To Talk To Congress
Three former Donald Trump advisers are proactively offering to testify to the House Intelligence Committee about Russia, in stark contrast to Hillary Clinton aides who stymied Congress during investigations into the former secretary of state’s private email server.
This week, former Trump advisers Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and Carter Page all informed the committee of their desires to testify to the committee.
All three have been identified in news reports as subjects of an FBI investigation of potential Trump campaign collusion with the Russian government. In testimony to the committee earlier this week, FBI director James Comey confirmed an ongoing investigation but did not name the Trump associates who are targeted in the probe.
The trio deny colluding with the Kremlin, but news reports have showed a variety of connections between the aides and people who work for the Russian government.

Americans one step closer to losing control of their browser history
The Senate voted to kill Obama-era online privacy regulations, a first step toward allowing internet providers such as Comcast, AT&T and Verizon to sell your browsing habits and other personal information as they expand their own online ad businesses.
Those rules, not yet in effect, would have required internet providers to ask your permission before sharing your personal information.
That’s a much stronger privacy-protection weapon than letting them use your data until you tell them to stop. As anyone who has ever tried to stop getting targeted ads on the internet knows, opting out is hard.
Without those protections, consumer advocates fear that broadband providers will be able to do what they like with people’s data.
“Advertisers and marketers are lining up to get access to all the information that’s now available about us,” said Jeff Chester of the Center for Digital Democracy, which advocates for tougher internet privacy measures.

Poll: Majority Do Not Want To Live In A Sanctuary City
There should be a law that every Democrat who supports illegal aliens must live in a sanctuary city
(The Blaze) The majority of Americans oppose having their city declared a “sanctuary city” to protect illegal immigrants, a new poll reveals.
According to a new Rasmussen Reports poll, only 35 percent of likely U.S. voters favor living in a “sanctuary city,” while 52 percent said they oppose their local officials declaring their town a “sanctuary city,” nearly a 20 point spread. Fourteen percent told Rasmussen they are undecided.
Most people also said that “sanctuary cities” are “less safe,” according to the survey. Forty percent said they are “less safe,” while only 17 percent said they are “more safe.” Thirty-five percent of respondents said the safety level is about the same.
As Rasmussen points out, this poll is based on the issue in Rockville, Maryland, where two immigrants, for which at least one is known to be an illegal, brutally raped a 14 year old girl in a school bathroom (a story which has been virtually embargoed by the major media). The city itself is considering whether to declare itself a sanctuary city in the midst of this.
I wonder how many Democrats want to live in sanctuary cities? Good news, the poll answers the question
Respondents were highly divided among partisan lines. Republicans were mostly likely to say they feared living in “sanctuary city” while a “plurality” of Democrats — 48 percent — said they favor it.
So, even 52% of Democrats do not want to live in conditions their beliefs create. Surprise!

Driver SHOT in Cincinnati after hitting boy, 4, with car
A driver was shot after his car hit a four-year-old boy who was in the street, according to police in Cincinnati.
Driver Jamie Urton, 44, was taken to a hospital and died during surgery.
Urton had just left work and was with a co-worker when the boy was struck Friday, police said Saturday.
The child was crossing Kenton Street in Walnut Hills at about 12pm when he was hit, Fox 19 reports.
Sgt. Eric Franz told DailyMail.com that three men in the area 'charged' at Urton and his passenger and assaulted them.
Authorities, Fox 19 reported, say Urton and his passenger either got out of the vehicle or were dragged before being assaulted by three people.
Franz said that he didn't have information on how Urton and the passenger left the vehicle.

Best Divorce Letter Ever!
Dear Wife,
I’m writing you this letter to tell you that I’m leaving you forever. I’ve been a good man to you for 7 years & I have nothing to show for it. These last 2 weeks have been hell. … Your boss called to tell me that you quit your job today & that was the last straw. Last week, you came home & didn’t even notice I had a new haircut, had cooked your favourite meal & even wore a brand new pair of silk boxers. You ate in 2 minutes, & went straight to sleep after watching all of your soaps. You don’t tell me you love me any more; you don’t want sex or anything that connects us as husband & wife. Either you’re cheating on me or you don’t love me any more; whatever the case, I’m gone.
Your EX-Husband
P.S. don’t try to find me. Your SISTER & I are moving away to West Virginia together! Have a great life!
Nothing has made my day more than receiving your letter. It’s true you & I have been married for 7 years, although a good man is a far cry from what you’ve been. I watch my soaps so much because they drown out your constant whining & griping Too bad that doesn’t work. I DID notice when you got a haircut last week, but the 1st thing that came to mind was ‘You look just like a girl!’ Since my mother raised me not to say anything if you can’t say something nice, I didn’t comment. And when you cooked my favourite meal, you must have gotten me confused with MY SISTER, because I stopped eating pork 7 years ago. About those new silk boxers: I turned away from you because the $49.99 price tag was still on them, & I prayed it was a coincidence that my sister had just borrowed $50 from me that morning. After all of this, I still loved you & felt we could work it out. So when I hit the lotto for 10 million dollars, I quit my job & bought us 2 tickets to Jamaica But when I got home you were gone.. Everything happens for a reason, I guess. I hope you have the fulfilling life you always wanted. My lawyer said that the letter you wrote ensures you won’t get a dime from me. So take care.
Signed, Your Ex-Wife, Rich As Hell & Free!
P.S. I don’t know if I ever told you this, but my sister Carla was born Carl. I hope that’s not a problem.

An Untrustworthy FBI Director
“Where did Comey get the idea to investigate the Trump campaign?” —George Neumayr, American Spectator
In testimony best described as a series of obfuscations, FBI Director James Comey never directly answered that essential question. But he confirmed to the House Select Intelligence Committee that his agency has been investigating Russian interference in the election since last July, including “the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government, and whether there was any coordination between the campaign and Russia’s efforts,” Wired reported.
What kind of interference? “Testifying before the House Intelligence Committee Monday morning, NSA Director Admiral Michael Rogers and FBI Director James Comey stated unequivocally that there was no evidence the Russians manipulated election machines to rig the vote,” stated the Conservative Review.
Yet if the vote itself wasn’t rigged, then what — exactly — does such “coordination” consist of? If it amounts to some sort of quid pro quo, why didn’t former President Obama’s open-mic promise to former Russian President Dmitri Medvedev he would “have more flexibility” following his re-election merit similar inquiries?
Moreover, what quid pro quo? The sanctions remain in place, the U.S. troops Obama sent to Poland are still there, and U.S. ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley has strongly condemned the Russians for the occupation of Crimea that occurred on Obama’s watch.

A liberal mom got a rude awakening that changed her views about the “bathroom debate” and decided to share her story regardless of what the backlash would be. This is a reality check like no other.
Kristen Quintrall Lavin runs a blog called, “The Get Real Mom,” in which she exposes the harsh realities of what she calls, “momming.” However, on a recent trip to Disneyland with her young son, Lavin, she was exposed to another harsh reality — the reality of bathroom stalking, which made her question her progressive liberal views on the bathroom debate.
Lavin commented on her blog that she has seen and supported “transgender” women — men identifying as women — using women’s public restrooms prior to the incident happening at Disneyland. “Transgenders who certainly felt comfortable in the women’s room and probably frightened to go into the men’s. At these times, I smiled … I peed … and life went on.”
Then, all of that changed when she was at Disneyland with her friend, her son, and her friend’s son.

Obama-Backed Group Appears at Democracy Alliance Donor Strategy Summit
Former president working with Eric Holder to focus on redistricting efforts
A group backed by former President Barack Obama participated at a D.C. gathering of deep-pocketed progressive donors strategizing to "restore progressive government" and to ensure fair redistricting in upcoming years.
The gathering, hosted by the dark money Democracy Alliance network, is part of the network's spring investment conference and national donor summit held in D.C to plot resistance against President Trump and Republicans.
The summit consists of numerous panels and discussions with key Democratic groups and players. Kelly Ward, the executive director of the Obama-linked National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC) and former executive director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), appeared on a panel Thursday to discuss how progressive groups are "aligning their national plans with one another and in partnership with state donor alliances" for 2021 redistricting efforts.
The NDRC is chaired by Eric Holder, Obama's former attorney general. Obama himself has taken an active role in leading the group.

Santa Monica Firefighter Uses CPR to Save Dog’s Life
A Santa Monica firefighter who spent 20 minutes performing CPR on a dog that was rescued from a burning apartment Tuesday afternoon has been lauded as a hero for saving his life.
“I discovered him amidst all the smoke and the heat. I grabbed him and as soon as I grabbed him I knew that he was unresponsive just by his dead weight,” firefighter Andrew Klein told Los Angles ABC affiliate ABC 7.
After Klein revived the Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu mix named Nalu, the 10-year-old was fitted with a pet oxygen mask to make sure he was OK.

Trump Haters Call for Presidential Assassination
No facet of the First Amendment shields those who promote the murder of the president of the United States.
Never in my 53 years have I seen people so casually and cavalierly advocate the murder of the president of the United States. Trump haters are eager to make assassination great again.
Such comments are not just muttered by demented vagrants as they relax on subway grates. Those who say such things too often are prominent, powerful people with platforms from which they publically spew their potentially lethal venom.
Calvin Broadus, Jr., alias Snoop Dogg, recently released a music video for a rap song called “Lavender” in which he aims a handgun right at the skull of a clown dressed as President Donald J. Trump. Mr. Dogg — who pled no contest to felony gun possession in April 2007 — pulls the revolver’s trigger. Out pops a red and white flag that reads: “Bang.”

Hilarious.
Imagine the national collapse that would have ensued if, say, a country-music star released a video in which he leveled a shotgun at an Obama-like clown, only to have sawdust fly from the barrel.

Democrats Give Refugees Baskets Of Diapers, Toilet Paper And VOTER REGISTRATION FORMS! [VIDEO]
Say it with me now… VOTER FRAUD. In Nebraska, Democrats are giving refugees gift baskets that include all kinds of nifty items – such as voter registration forms. A refugee cannot legally vote in the US, but that isn’t stopping the Nebraska Democratic Party from pushing voter fraud as refugees arrive in the Cornhusker State. Nebraska Democratic Party [NDP] chairwoman Jane Kleeb is just gushing and proud as punch in the video below. She’s giddy over breaking the law. How typical.
Over 50 gift baskets were collected for refugees and filled to overflowing with diapers, toilet paper, linen and food. But right on top is that voter registration form. I wouldn’t be surprised if ‘Democrat’ wasn’t already checked off for them. What shocked me is her claim that Nebraska now takes in more refugees than any state in the union. Remember, President Trump’s travel ban is having issues at the moment. I would have thought Nebraskans had more sense than this, but evidently not.
