A top deputy to city schools Chancellor Richard Carranza was busted in Wisconsin for allegedly trying to arrange sex with an underage boy online, police and sources told The Post.
Department of Education Deputy Chief of Staff David Hay was arrested getting off at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee Sunday on a charge of using a computer “to facilitate a child sex crime,” according to Neenah, Wisconsin, cops.
He allegedly intended to meet with a minor boy for sex, sources said.
Hay, who remained behind bars pending a bail hearing Monday, had been under investigation for several months, sources said.

Is Social Media The New Tobacco?
If we set out to design a highly addictive platform that optimized the most toxic, destructive aspects of human nature, we'd eventually come up with social media.
Social problems arise when initially harmless addictions explode in popularity, and economic problems arise when the long-term costs of the addictions start adding up. Political problems arise when the addictions are so immensely profitable that the companies skimming the profits can buy political influence to protect their toxic products from scrutiny and regulation.
That describes both the tobacco industry before its political protection was stripped away and social media today, as the social media giants hasten to buy political influence to protect their immensely profitable monopolies from scrutiny and regulation.
It's difficult to measure the full costs of addictions because our system focuses on price discovery at the point of purchase, meaning that absent any regulatory measuring of long-term consequences, the cost of a pack of cigarettes is based not on the long-term costs but solely on the cost of producing and packaging the tobacco into cigarettes, and the enterprise side: marketing, overhead and profit.

Freedom Loving Virginians Are Fighting Back, but Will It Be Enough?
Democratic governors of states with significant non-leftist populations tend to lean centrist. In part, it’s because they know they need the consent and at least some of the support of their state’s conservatives in order to win office and govern effectively. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, however, isn’t a centrist, but rather a radical left-winger made more radical – if that were even possible – by his constant need to grovel before the social justice wing of his party to “atone” for his blackface or KKK-robe-wearing medical school yearbook picture past.
It’s a problem for freedom-loving Virginians that only intensified when Democrats managed to narrowly take over both statehouses and chose to interpret their victory as a mandate to pass a radical leftist agenda that would make the likes of California, New York, and Oregon proud. In the most newsworthy of the various ways they intend to destroy the once-great state, Virginia Democratic lawmakers plan to pass a whole lot of unneeded gun control legislation in 2020, legislation that will make the lives of all its citizens significantly worse.
The scariest, so far, of all the proposals put forth by Governor Coonman and crew is a ban on commonly used semi-automatic firearms currently owned legally by thousands of thus-far law-abiding gun owners. In a gesture of purported acquiescence to the state’s significant non-leftist population, current gun owners will apparently be “grandfathered” in, but only on the condition that they register their firearms. How many who choose to comply with an action that everyone knows good and well would eventually lead to some sort of confiscation will determine how many formerly law-abiding Virginians will then be outside the law, in effect ‘outlaws’ simply waiting to be caught.

Harris Announces $125,000 Substance Abuse Grant in Worcester County
WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a $125,000 grant to treat and prevent substance abuse in Worcester County. The grant is through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the funds will be administered by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention.
The $125,000 federal grant is to Mosaic Community Services, Inc., located in Pocomoke City, for the Berlin Prevention Works Coalition for Drugs and Alcohol-Free Communities.
The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention works with federal, state, public and private organizations to develop comprehensive prevention systems. The Center helps prevent the onset of illegal drug use, prescription drug misuse and abuse, alcohol misuse and abuse, and underage alcohol and tobacco use.
Congressman Harris made the following statement:
“Fighting the opioid epidemic remains a top priority for me in Congress. As a physician, I am proud to serve on the Committee on Appropriations subcommittee that funds the Department of Health and Human Services, and I applaud the award of this HHS grant in Worcester County. Congress should prioritize efforts to fight substance abuse over partisan politics, and I am committed to ensuring that local, rural communities on the Eastern Shore get needed resources to help afflicted families. The impact of substance abuse extends beyond individuals – this is a family and community-wide crisis. It is my hope that this federal investment in the Eastern Shore will help people get treatment and prevent addiction.”

Some 120 men and women have been arrested over the past week for offending public morals, including by wearing immodest clothing and 'harassment', police said.
Another 88 people were arrested in various harassment cases, police added in separate statements, after several women complained on social media that they were harassed at the MDL Beast music festival in Riyadh earlier this month.

Joe Biden: ‘We’re All Dead’ if We Don’t Stop Using Fossil Fuels
Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed during a Sunday campaign event that “we’re all dead” if fossil fuels continue to be used as one of the world’s primary energy sources.
Biden made the apocalyptic pronouncement while discussing climate change before a crowd of supporters in Peterborough, New Hampshire.
“If we don’t stop using fossil fuels–” an attendee began a question to the candidate.
“We’re all dead,” Biden interrupted.
Earlier in the event, Biden vowed as president to hold energy giants liable for global warming and made a pledge to even jail executives.

DEBT BUBBLE BURST IMMINENT
If something cannot go on forever, it will stop.
This seems self-evident, but as Jim Rickards noted in a recent article about the ever-growing levels of debt, people tend to ignore this indisputable truth.
Total global debt reached a record of over $250 trillion in the first half of 2019, according to an Institute of International Finance report published in November. Global debt surged by $7.5 trillion through the first half of the year. “With no sign of a slowdown, we expect the global debt load to exceed $255 trillion in 2019, largely driven by the US and China.”
According to SRSrocco, global debt has added $100 trillion in debt since the 2008 financial crisis
“Now, the majority of that debt went into the Stock, Bond, and Real Estate Markets. This is precisely why the US stock market has reached an all-time new high. Unfortunately, when the US and the global economy finally enters into a recession-depression, the asset values will crash while the debts remain.”

"Don't Touch Kids You Pervert!": Biden Middle School Gymnasium Rally Melts Down Into Chaos
A Joe Biden event on Sunday at a New Hampshire Middle School gymnasium was interrupted by two protesters, who assailed 'quid pro Joe' with accusations of being a 'pervert' and making money in Ukraine.
"You've touched kids on video, and women," shouted one man, adding "We don't need another old white man running for president - time to have a minority candidate," to which Biden - who likely didn't hear the guy, said "I agree with ya man. I agree. Nice talkin' with you."
"You don't touch kids ever again, the man continued. "Don't touch kids, you pervert!" he continued, to which Biden shook his head.
"Look it up," the man told the gasping crowd. "Don't lie to them, 'creepy uncle biden,' look it up!"

How Crisco Made Americans Believers in Industrial Food
Perhaps you’ll unearth a can of Crisco for the holiday baking season. If so, you’ll be one of millions of Americans who have, for generations, used it to make cookies, cakes, pie crusts and more.
But for all Crisco’s popularity, what exactly is that thick, white substance in the can?
If you’re not sure, you’re not alone.
For decades, Crisco had only one ingredient, cottonseed oil. But most consumers never knew that. That ignorance was no accident.
A century ago, Crisco’s marketers pioneered revolutionary advertising techniques that encouraged consumers not to worry about ingredients and instead to put their trust in reliable brands. It was a successful strategy that other companies would eventually copy.

Transgender Athletes Playing Competitive Sports Was a Rising Policy Issue in 2019
The year 2019 saw an uptick in male athletes besting females in female-only sports, citing their transgender identity.
Now, lawmakers in three states—Washington, Tennessee, and Georgia—have proposed legislation that would place restrictions on transgender athletes in sports. Might legislation quell this new wave of transgender activism and make sports fair again?
The Tennessee Star reports that state Rep. Bruce Griffey, a Republican, proposed HB 1572, a bill that would “require elementary and secondary school student-athletes to compete in sports based on their biological sex at birth.”
The legislation stipulates that if Tennessee public schools violate this requirement, they would no longer be eligible to receive taxpayer subsidies from the state or a local government.

Kansas Cop Busted Faking Coffee Cup Hate Crime
A Kansas City police officer resigned on Monday after he was caught writing "F***ing Pig" on his own coffee cup at a Junction City McDonald's.
The ex-officer, who remains unidentified, brought the cup to the attention of the manager and was offered a free lunch. That wasn't good enough for the now unemployed 'pig,' as the story somehow wound up making headlines.
After a thorough review of video surveillance, however, the owner of the franchise, Dana Cook, said in a statement to KSNT that "the words were not written by one of our employees. My McDonald's have the utmost respect for all members of law enforcement and the military and were troubled by the accusation made," Cook added.

Dramatic moment Russian security services used FBI tip-off to swoop on Russian terror suspects 'plotting New Year's attack' as Kremlin says Putin called President Trump to thank him
The Kremlin has released dramatic footage showing its security forces swooping on terror suspects after claiming they were given an FBI-tip-off of a New Year's attack.
Putin called President Donald Trump on Sunday to thank him 'for information transmitted through the special services that helped prevent the completion of terrorist acts in Russia,' the Kremlin said.
The detainees 'intended to carry out terrorist acts in crowded places in St. Petersburg during the New Year holidays', said the FSB.
Footage shows armed FSB operatives manhandling two suspects and uncovering shotgun shells and knives at the property in Putin's home city on Friday night.

Homan: Prepare for 'out-of-control border' if Dem wins in 2020
Former acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement [ICE] Thomas Homan warned Democrats seeking the White House in 2020 against "enticing" illegal immigrants with lax immigration policies, in an interview that aired Sunday, saying America could face an "out-of-control border" if a Democrat unseats President Trump.
"They say they care about these people, they care about children dying and women being raped... they need to look in the mirror because if you keep offering enticements... 'sanctuary cities'... free health care... in-state tuition... people are going to put themselves in harm's way to come to this country," Homan told Steve Hilton on "The Next Revolution."
"This president has gotten the border down 65 percent... on his own, and at the same time, you've got the Democrat Party throwing out more enticements," he continued.

THE IRS PLACED LIEN ON HUNTER BIDEN FOR ABOUT $113,000 IN UNPAID TAXES FROM YEAR HE SERVED ON BURISMA BOARD
The IRS placed a tax lien on Hunter Biden seeking $112,805 in unpaid taxes from 2015, according to records the Daily Caller News Foundation obtained.
The federal agency issued the previously unreported lien in November 2018 and it seeks unpaid taxes for a year in which Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, served on the boards of the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings and the Chinese private equity firm BHR Partners.
“We have made a demand for payment of this liability, but it remains unpaid,” the IRS stated in the lien notice, which it filed with the Washington, D.C., Recorder of Deeds. “Therefore, there is a lien in favor of the United States on all property and rights to property belonging to this taxpayer for the amount of these taxes.”
The tax lien was issued against Hunter Biden and his ex-wife, Kathleen Biden, but was delivered to the same address Hunter Biden has on file with Connecticut’s Judicial Branch, an address that is also linked to his law firm, Owasco PC.

This Firearms Instructor Is Reportedly The Hero Who Killed Texas Church Gunman With Single Head Shot
On Sunday, during what would otherwise likely be a quiet worship service at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas, an armed gunman entered the church and after talking to a man for several minutes in the corner, pulled out a shotgun and opened fire.
The gunman, as was witnessed in recorded video of the entire incident, barely managed to get off more than a few rounds before an armed security guard standing 50 feet away from the shooter drew his pistol and fired a single shot, instantly killing the gunman with what appeared to be a perfectly placed head shot.
Late Sunday night, reports began to emerge via social media that the hero who managed to severely mitigate the loss of life inside the church by quickly killing the gunman is reportedly identified as a local man by the name of Jack Wilson, who also happens to reportedly be a long-time, certified firearms instructor.

Donald Trump praises 'wonderful statements' of Jewish leader who accuses AOC, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib of anti-Semitic hate speech
Donald Trump praised a Jewish leader Monday for 'wonderful statements about me' after he blamed Democrats for a rise in anti-Semitism and slammed Bill de Blasio and Andrew Cuomo in the wake of a mass stabbing at a Hanukkah party.
'There is a cause for hate speech. When you have the Farakahns of the world, when you have members of the United States Congress – Tliab, Omar, AOC – when you have them indulging in hate speech themselves – and to get away with it. You know there's a new standard, one is for anti-Semitism and one is for other type of hate,' Dav Hikind said on Fox & Friends Sunday morning.
'Unfortunately, people within my party – I'm a Democrat – within the Democratic Party, there's a double standard,' he said, claiming those on the left disparage any type of hate speech unless it's against Jewish people.
'The hate, the anti-Semitism that emanates from within the left – you don't hear anything, you hear very little,' he continued. 'Anything that comes from the other side, it's all – I mean, even the mayor of the city of New York has continued to call the hate coming from the right. All the hate in New York is coming from the left.'

CBS News apologizes for mixing up Elijah Cummings and John Lewis on air
CBS News on Monday apologized for confusing one congressman for another during their evening broadcast.
The network showed a photo of late Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings, who died in October at 68, when referring to Georgia Democrat John Lewis.
The image of the longtime lawmaker was placed next to a quote from the civil rights icon about his recently revealed battle with stage four pancreatic cancer.
“While I am clear-eyed about the prognosis… I have a fighting chance,” the quote from Lewis said.
The network’s embarrassing error drew scorn on social media.
“Can’t believe CBS News is showing a picture of the late U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings w/ Congressman John Lewis’ name as they talk about Rep. Lewis’ recent announcement. Get it right!” wrote @StephonFerguson.

TX Lt. Gov. Praises Armed Parishioners, Calls Them ‘Immediate Responders’
Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) praised the reaction of armed parishioners during the White Settlement church attack, referring to them as “immediate responders.”
Breitbart News reported a man opened fire in the church Sunday morning, only to be shot and killed when a good guy with a gun returned fire. Fox News reports that a second parishioner who serves on the church security team shot the attacker as well.
The Dallas Morning News quoted Lt. Gov. Patrick saying:
"The immediate responder is the most important. The citizen responder. Because even though the chief’s brave officers were here in less than a minute … by the time they got here, the shooting was over. And that always happens, that over 50 percent of shootings, our first responders, it’s usually over when they get there, no matter how hard they try."

Family: Hanukkah stabbing suspect had mental illness history
A man accused of storming into a rabbi’s home and stabbing five people as they celebrated Hanukkah in an Orthodox Jewish community north of New York City was raised to embrace tolerance but has a history of mental illness, his family said.
“Grafton Thomas has a long history of mental illness and hospitalizations. He has no history of like violent acts and no convictions for any crime,” his family said late Sunday in a statement issued by attorney Michael Sussman. “He has no known history of anti-Semitism and was raised in a home which embraced and respected all religions and races. He is not a member of any hate groups.”
“We believe the actions of which he is accused, if committed by him, tragically reflect profound mental illness,” the statement said.

Poll finds Barack Obama, Donald Trump tie for 'most admired' men of 2019
A new Gallup poll published Monday finds current President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama are 2019's most admired men.
The annual poll asks respondents who their most admired man and woman are for the year. Both secured 18% each of the vote when respondents were asked "What man that you have heard or read about, living today in any part of the world, do you admire most?"
As for which woman was most admired in 2019, former first lady Michelle Obama received the nod with 10%. Current first lady Melania Trump received 5% of the vote. According to Gallup, this is the second year Michelle Obama has received the majority vote as most admired woman. Hillary Clinton had received the nod the previous 22 years.

Fitton: We Don’t Need More Reports, We Need Prosecutions
“The president is a crime victim,” said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, in an interview on Monday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.
Fitton examined the possibility of Joe Biden being subpoenaed to testify as a witness in a Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump.
“The reason that what Joe Biden has to say is important is, the defense for President Trump is, did [Donald Trump] have a good faith reason for asking about Biden and Ukraine, and whether serious issues and allegations needed to be investigated?” said Fitton, referring to Trump’s request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate possible corruption on the part of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden in relation to Ukrainian energy company Burisma. “If [Donald Trump] is going to make that case, Joe Biden’s going to be central to it in terms of any witnesses.”
Fitton expressed skepticism of the Department of Justice’s criminal probe into the origins of the FBI’s operation against Trump during his first presidential campaign.
“If the past is prologue, I don’t think there [are] going to be prosecutions of significant figures … like Comey, Brennan, things like that,” estimated Fitton. “My guess is there’s a grand jury that’s allowing the government — [John Durham] — to get documents. They get subpoenas to the grand jury for some documents, but bringing in witnesses to testify [is] what needs to be done and it’s not being done.”

4.3M Migrants Caught at SW Border in Decade — More Than Los Angeles Population
Border Patrol agents apprehended more than four million migrants who illegally crossed the southwest border with Mexico during the past 10 fiscal years. If these migrants were placed into a single city, it would be larger than Los Angeles by population.
During the past 10 fiscal years, October 1, 2009, through September 30, 2019, U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the nine sectors that make up the United States’ southwest border with Mexico apprehended 4,318,200 migrants. The highest year during that decade for apprehensions occurred during Fiscal Year 2019 when agents apprehended 851,553 — including 76,020 Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) and 473,682 Family Unit Aliens (FMUA), according to reports obtained from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

TOP 10: President Trump’s biggest accomplishments of 2019!
Americans saw plenty of Washington at its worst this year, with one party in Congress obsessed with a partisan impeachment stunt and obstructing progress at every turn. But despite getting no help from the far left, America today is soaring to new heights.
It’s tough to pick only 10 accomplishments from such an extraordinary year, but here are just a few of the biggest things President Donald J. Trump has gotten done for the American people in 2019:
It’s tough to pick only 10 accomplishments from such an extraordinary year, but here are just a few of the biggest things President Donald J. Trump has gotten done for the American people in 2019:
- The Trump Boom is going strong. The unemployment rate recently hit its lowest mark in 50 years. All told, since President Trump’s election, our economy has added more than 7 million jobs—over half a million in manufacturing alone.
- The stock market keeps breaking records: The Dow Jones and S&P 500 hit record closes again on Friday.
- The working class is thriving, as are previously forgotten communities. Wages are now rising the fastest for low-income workers, and poverty rates for African Americans and Hispanic Americans have reached all-time lows.
- Accountable government is back. Since taking office, President Trump has rolled back nearly 8 regulations for every new one, saving American taxpayers more than $50 billion in the process—with bigger savings still to come.
- Better trade deals are putting America back in the driver’s seat. Congress approved President Trump’s USMCA this month—a huge win for U.S. workers, farmers, and manufacturers that will create 176,000 new jobs.

‘Worst Mayor in NYC’: Giuliani and de Blasio trade punches in online spat about anti-Semitic attacks
Rudy Giuliani and Bill de Blasio exchanged jabs about anti-Semitism in the wake of the brutal machete attack that took place over the weekend.
On Saturday, a man attacked a Hanukkah celebration in the home of a Hasidic rabbi in New York. The assault was the 13th anti-Semitic attack in New York in the past few weeks, sparking a conversation about what needs to be done to stop the hateful bloodshed.
Giuliani, 75, took the first swing after the attack and condemned de Blasio’s leadership in the wake of the continued attacks. He criticized the current mayor’s decision to part ways with the policies Giuliani implemented as mayor, including “broken windows theory,” which required strict enforcement of minor crimes in order to create bottom-up compliance to stop severe crimes like homicide. The policy has been criticized by some because it can lead to distrust of law enforcement for cracking down on less serious crimes.

Fox Crushes Cable News With Record High Viewership As CNN Implodes
Fox News dominated the basic cable news industry in 2019, according to a new report, which specifies the network has hit record high viewership.
Nielsen Media Research said Fox News averaged 2.5 million viewers during primetime in 2019, far outpacing any other news network. The network's viewership hit a 23-year high this year, blowing out its competitors, CNN and MSNBC, by a long shot
Fox News even beat out ESPN with its 1.78 million viewers during primetime. It seems the American people under a Trump administration are more concerned about politics and the economy than sports. MSNBC trailed ESPN for the third spot at 1.75 viewers during primetime. This is the fourth consecutive year Fox News has blown out its competitors.
Nielsen said CNN came in 22nd place, recorded just 972,000 viewers during primetime.

How Liberals Rewrite the History of the Clinton Impeachment
The “striking” difference between the Bill Clinton and Donald Trump impeachments, argue MSNBC hosts and others in the media, was not only the willingness of Clinton to “show contrition,” but the willingness of his supporters to acknowledge that the president had done something wrong.
Let’s not let liberals rewrite history.
In the real world, Clinton, with help from the entire Democratic Party, kept earnestly lying to anyone who would listen—the media, the American people, a grand jury—until physical evidence compelled him to admit what he had done.
His subsequent “contrition,” as impeachment picked up steam, was a matter of political survival. The notion that Trump engaged in “bribery” is debatable. The notion that Clinton perjured himself is not.

"Because You'd Be In Jail!" - The Real Reason Democrats Are Pushing Trump Impeachment?
In the time-honored tradition of Machiavellian statecraft, all of the charges being leveled against Donald Trump to remove him from office – namely, ‘abuse of power’ and ‘obstruction of congress’ –are essentially the same things the Democratic Party has been guilty of for nearly half a decade: abusing their powers in a non-stop attack on the executive branch. Is the reason because they desperately need a ‘get out of jail free’ card?
Due to the non-stop action in Washington of late, few believe that the present state of affairs between the Democrats and Donald Trump are exclusively due to a telephone call between the US leader and the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. That is only scratching the surface of a story that is practically boundless.
Back in April 2016, before Trump had become the Republican presidential nominee, talk of impeachment was already in the air.

Caribbean Joe's New Years Eve 2020 Party
Under President Trump I chose to finally reinvest by taking a blighted and closed business and rebuild it back to what is now known as Caribbean Joe's in West Ocean City. There were many challenges when it comes to a structure built in 1942 but today it is an incredible location, spotless clean and regular customers any restaurant/bar owner would die for.
That being said, I want to invite around a hundred of you to come join us for a four hour, (10 PM to 2 AM) New Years Eve celebration to include all you can eat smoked BBQ buffet, draft beer and rail drinks for $30.00 a person. We have 20, 55" flat screen TV's to watch the ball drop.
Come bring in the New Year while we also celebrate the Trump 2020 Campaign and enjoy another 4 years of business and financial growth. Make your reservations ASAP. 410-430-5349

Man Wrongfully Imprisoned For 27 Years Will Sue His Accusers
It was August 10, 1991. Outside Louie’s Texas Red Hots restaurant, a group of men began fighting. A gun was pulled and Torriano Jackson was killed.
An anonymous tip led police to Valentino Dixon, who says police had been targeting him long before the shooting. Dixon was arrested, but just two days later, Lamarr Scott confessed to the shooting and murder of Jackson. Scott’s confession did nothing to help Dixon, who was convicted of the murder and sentenced to 38-and-a-half-years to live in prison, according to a website set up for his defense.
While in prison, Dixon gained national attention for his beautiful artwork depicting golf courses. His story attracted the attention of Golf Digest in 2012, which wrote a story about his conviction and decided to help him win his freedom. In 2018, after 27 years in prison, Dixon was exonerated and released.

Orange County Man Charged with Federal Hate Crimes for December 28, 2019, Machete Attack at Rabbi’s Home
Grafton Thomas Injured at Least Five People in Attack During Hanukkah Observance
Eric Dreiband, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, Geoffrey S. Berman, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and William F. Sweeney Jr., the Assistant Director-in-Charge of the New York Office of the FBI, announced today that Grafton Thomas has been charged with five counts of obstructing the free exercise of religion in an attempt to kill, a federal hate crime, related to his machete attack during Shabbat and Hanukkah observances at a Rabbi’s home in Monsey, New York, on the night of Dec. 28, 2019. Thomas is expected to be presented in White Plains federal court later today.
”Every American should be free to live and worship in safety,” said Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband for the Civil Rights Division. “The department will vigorously prosecute those who commit hate crimes, and we will continue to work with our state and local partners to bring to justice anyone who violates the civil rights of Americans.”
“As alleged, Grafton Thomas targeted his victims in the midst of a religious ceremony, transforming a joyous Hanukkah celebration into a scene of carnage and pain,” said U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman for the Southern District of New York. “Today is the eighth day of Hanukkah, the festival of lights that commemorates Jews’ struggle to practice their faith more than two millennia ago. And we are about to welcome a new year. Even in the face of tragedy, both milestones are an occasion for renewed hope and resolve: To combat bigotry in all its forms – and to bring to justice the perpetrators of hate-fueled attacks.”
Maryland Attorney General News Releases Attorney General Frosh Joins Multistate Coalition Opposing Federal Efforts to Put Haitian-Born Residents at Risk of Deportation
21 Attorneys General Argue that Termination of Temporary Protected Status for Haiti Is Illegal
BALTIMORE, MD (December 30, 2019) – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh today joined a group of 21 attorneys general in challenging the Trump administration’s effort to revoke Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitian nationals. If the administration is allowed to move forward, Haitian TPS holders in Maryland, other states, and the District of Columbia would lose their legal status, leaving them vulnerable to deportation.
In an amicus brief filed in support of the plaintiffs in Saget v. Trump before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the coalition of attorneys general argue that the administration lacked a reasonable rationale for the move, violating the Administrative Procedure Act (APA). The brief urges the Court of Appeals to affirm the lower court’s ruling and uphold a nationwide injunction against the termination to prevent widespread harm in the amici states.
Haiti first received TPS designation after the devastating earthquake of 2010. As early as March 2017, the Trump administration set out to reverse the designation. Political appointees in the administration pressured Department of Homeland Security (DHS) staffers to effectively manufacture a rationale for the change, pushing them to depart from established agency procedure by, for example, gathering criminality and welfare data on Haitian TPS beneficiaries. In November 2017, Acting DHS Secretary Elaine Duke announced that the agency would terminate TPS for Haiti but her own notes revealed that she still had not established a reason for the decision.

Woman accused of assaulting 3 Jewish women arrested again day after release
A Brooklyn miscreant accused of slapping three Orthodox Jewish women last week struck again on Sunday and was busted for assaulting another woman.
A day after she was released without bail on charges stemming from the Friday attack, Tiffany Harris was charged with assault for slugging a 35-year-old in the face on Eastern Parkway near Underhill Avenue in Prospect Heights at about 9:15 a.m., according to police.
It’s unclear if Sunday’s victim is Jewish — and police weren’t treating the incident as a hate crime. The victim suffered swelling and bruising to her right eye from the pummeling, police said.

Juan Fresnada was attacked as he walked down the street with his 29-year-old partner, Bayron Caceres, at 1.28am on Christmas Eve.
It is unclear if the attack was a homophobic hate crime, or if the assailants were simply looking to rob the pair but they took $1 from Fresnada.
He was beaten so badly that he suffered swelling to his brain and a fractured skull. Caceres was not seriously injured.

Michael Moore says Trump will WIN in 2020 because his support in Midwestern battlegrounds has not dropped 'one inch' and his followers are 'even more rabid'
Filmmaker Michael Moore said that President Donald Trump had a strong chance at winning the 2020 election, claiming that his support in Midwestern battleground states hasn't dropped 'one inch.'
He added that if the presidential election were today, Trump would most likely win enough electoral college votes to clinch victory.
'If the vote were today, I believe, he would win the electoral states that he would need, because, living out there, I will tell you, his level of support has not gone down one inch,' he said in an interview with Democracy Now!
'In fact, I'd say it's even more rabid than it was before, because they're afraid now. They're afraid he could lose, because they watched his behavior. So they are voracious in their appetite for Donald Trump. That’s the bad news.'

Joe Biden says he will DEFY subpoena to testify in Trump's Senate impeachment trial because it will detract attention from the president's actions
Former US Vice President Joe Biden said Friday that he would not comply if subpoenaed in an impeachment trial of President Donald Trump.
Trump and fellow Republicans want to call Biden and his son, Hunter, to appear as witnesses during the proceedings for alleged corruption in Ukraine.
But speaking to the editorial board of the Des Moines Register, Biden, the current front runner for the 2020 Democratic nomination, said that compliance with a subpoena would detract from the president's own actions.

Walter E. Williams Warns Virginia About Gov. Ralph Northam’s Gun Registry Plan
Columnist and George Mason economics Professor Walter E. Williams is warning Virginia residents about Gov. Ralph Northam’s (D) gun registry plan.
Northam has been pushing an all-out ban on AR-15s and similar rifles for some time, but he recently changed the scope of the ban in the face of the growing Second Amendment Sanctuary movement.
On December 10, 2019, Breitbart News reported that Northam changed his position from supporting an across-the-board ban on possession of such weapons to supporting a ban only in a situation where a person refuses to register the firearm with the government. The Virginia Mercury quoted Northam spokeswoman Alena Yarmosky saying, “The governor’s assault weapons ban will include a grandfather clause for individuals who already own assault weapons, with the requirement they register their weapons before the end of a designated grace period.”
On December 27, 2019, Dr. Williams used a Fox News op-ed to warn Virginians “not to fall for the registration trick.” He said, “Knowing who owns what weapons is the first step to confiscation.”
Williams added:
James Madison, in Federalist Paper No. 46 wrote that the Constitution preserves “the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation … (where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.”
Thomas Jefferson wrote: “What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.”
Too many Americans believe the Second Amendment grants Americans the right to own firearms only to go hunting and for self-protection. The framers of our Constitution had no such intent in mind.

The Gay Mafia Comes to Idaho
A truce has been called between religious folks and gays. Or at least that's what we're being told. The Fairness for All Act, legislation intended to give rights to both Christian conservatives and transgenders, has been put before the House. For the latter, it proposes that "sexual orientation" be added to the Civil Rights Act, making it hard to discriminate against anyone on the basis of sexual identity. It gives sweeping protections in housing, business, banking, and "public accommodations." On the other hand, it grants protections to anyone in a business with fewer than 15 employees and grants exemptions to anyone in a "faith-based" organization. The Deseret News says it resulted from a dialogue between LGBT groups and representatives from the Seventh-Day Adventists, the Mormons, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, and other such suit-and-tie respectables.
But those of us who've escaped the wasteland-in-training known as Seattle know that the LGBT community is just that — a community. Not a uniform band of orthodox goose-steppers, but a volatile cocktail of competing doctrinaires — a hodgepodge of neatniks and weirdos, kind people and jackasses, bullies and victims. The whole gamut of men, both rotten and trustworthy. I've spent time with lots of these people, both as a coke-head and a straight-laced Christian, and I can attest that the majority are decent people. Many of them sexually looser than us, to be sure, but otherwise decent.
But alongside this decent majority stand the activist jackasses.

New York's 'Bail Reform' Is Having Detrimental Impacts, Especially on the Jewish Community
New York State's new "bail reform" initiative has been thrown into the spotlight following Saturday night's stabbing attack on a Jewish congregation gathering to celebrate Hanukkah.
Beginning Jan. 1, criminals charged with most misdemeanors and Class E felonies will be released from jail without having to post cash or a bond. The goal is to not criminalize "poverty by keeping someone in jail only because they can't afford to get out," the Albany Democrat reported.
District attorneys and law enforcement officials across the state took Issue with the initiative because some misdemeanors and felonies, like theft, assault and aggravated harassment, aren't eligible for cash bail.
New York City Councilmen Chaim Deutsch and Kalman Yegar have repeatedly spoken out against the initiative, especially as anti-Semitism continues to rise.

FLASHBACK: Biden Called Texas Governor 'Irrational' For Allowing Guns in Places of Worship
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden criticized the Governor of Texas for signing a bill that allows law-abiding Texans to defend themselves with firearms in places of worship. On Sunday, an armed man stopped a gunman in Texas after the gunman opened fire during church services.
The shooting happened as parishioners took part in communion at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas. It's been reported that one person was pronounced dead at the scene, another died en route to the hospital and another remains in critical condition.
Service was being livestreamed at the moment the gunman opened fire with a shotgun and was quickly taken out by an armed citizen. The video is below.

Pete Buttigieg wants to decriminalize possession of ALL drugs as he says the harsh criminal justice system has worsened what is a 'public health problem'
Pete Buttigieg has said he would decriminalize all drugs if he were to be elected president.
The Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, opened up during an interview in Iowa where he championed alternative programs as a way to tackle what he describes as a 'health problem' the criminal justice system has worsened.
While some Democratic 2020 candidates have expressed views that align in regards to marijuana possession, Buttigieg said that even those with class A drugs were not deserving of being locked up.
'I would not have said even five years ago what I believe now, which is that incarceration should not even be a response to drug possession,' Buttigieg told the Des Moines Register Monday.

'My decisions will always be flexible': Ivanka Trump unwilling to commit to stay for second term
Ivanka Trump left open the question of whether she would remain in the White House if her father is reelected to a second term as president.
"I am driven, first and foremost, by my kids and their happiness," Trump, 38, said regarding her post-2020 plans during an interview on CBS's Face the Nation that will air Sunday. "So that's always going to be my top priority. And my decisions will always be flexible enough to ensure that their needs are being considered, first and foremost."
"So they will really drive that answer for me," she said. With her husband, Jared Kushner, Trump has three children: Arabella Rose, 8; Joseph Frederick, 6; and Theodore James, 3. Increasing the child tax credit has been an issue of key importance to her.

AT&T is forcing American workers to train their replacements, be it foreigners through an outsourcing partner or cheaper domestic workers, according to Axios.
As many as 3,000 finance jobs were being outsourced to Accenture by AT&T, which also has deals with IBM and Tech Mahindra, according to the report, noting all three are among the top 10 companies to request H-1B skilled worker visas in 2019.
"We are continuously working to be more efficient in our operations," AT&T's Jim Kimberly told Axios, adding AT&T is "helping employees find other positions within the company."

Suspect Arrested, Drenched in Blood, in Hanukkah Machete Attack
The suspect in a machete attack Saturday night in which five Jews were wounded at a Hanukkah party in Monsey, New York, has been identified as Grafton Thomas, 38.
He was arrested in Harlem by New York Police Department (NYPD) officers and “was found with blood all over his clothing and a strong smell of bleach in the car, like he was trying to destroy evidence,” according to Rockland County Assistant District Attorney Michael Dugandzic.
The attack occurred at a rabbi’s house in the religious community — the latest attack on Orthodox Jews near New York City. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has come under increasing criticism for the attacks, especially after several suspects in recent violent antisemitic attacks were released as courts have rushed to comply with the state’s new “bail reform” legislation, which is supported by the de Blasio administration, and which takes full effect Jan 1.
