SHE’S BACK The endlessly unlikable Hillary refuses to leave the stage.

No matter how much sane Democrat strategists desperately want her to go away, Hillary Clinton refuses to leave the stage.

“As the 2020 presidential race ramps up, plenty of top Democrats we talk to would prefer new energy and faces to Clinton nostalgia/redemption,” Axios reports.

That’s an understatement.

Eighteen months after the American people told Hillary exactly where to go, the soulless political operative the great William Safire called a “congenital liar,” is everywhere. Promoting her whiny What Happened memoir and hurting her party by keeping her almost innumerable misdeeds front and center. Likening Republicans to Klansmen and Nazis. Supporting the left-wing Resistance to President Trump. Embarrassing her fellow Democrats with her abusive rhetoric aimed at half of America.

In recent travels overseas, Hillary has been badmouthing President Trump and her fellow Americans. During a March visit to India, Hillary viciously unloaded on her enemies – in particular, the 63 million Americans who voted for President Trump in 2016. Ordinary Americans are pessimistic, racist, sexist hicks, she said.

FOX CONSIDERS REVIVING ‘LAST MAN STANDING’ AFTER CONSERVATIVE BACKLASH

ABC may be about to learn that conservatives watch TV, too.

While the network famously canceled Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing” last year, despite its six season success and remarkably high ratings, it looks like another network may be eyeing a reboot.

“The sixth — and final — season of the show, which skews more toward a blue-collar audience, was the network’s second most-watched comedy with 8.1 million views, behind only the seemingly untouchable ‘Modern Family,’ which scored 8.7 million in the same year,” Fox News reported shortly after its cancellation.

Even Tim Allen, who has been an outspoken Republican, was “blindsided” bY the abrupt cancellation.

Serial pooper at New Jersey high school football field turns out to be superintendent, police say

HOLMDEL, N.J. - Authorities said they cracked the case of a mysterious serial pooper targeting a high school football field in New Jersey and the identity of the suspect came as quite a surprise: a school superintendent.

The Holmdel Township Police Department said the resource officer at Holmdel High School was alerted to the feces fiasco by school staff.

According to investigators, the stool scoundrel was defecating on the field “on a daily basis.”

The resource officer, along with some staff, surveilled the field for the dastardly defecator and identified the suspect as 42-year-old Thomas Tramaglini. He lives several miles from the high school, but is the superintendent of Kenilworth Public Schools, another school district in New Jersey.

Veterans say anti-malarial drug they were ordered to take isn't in medical records

If you served in the United States military or traveled to a part of the world that's prone to malaria, you may have been prescribed a small white pill called Mefloquine, sold under the brand name, Lariam.

Many veterans, former Peace Corps volunteers and other world travelers now say that weekly anti-malarial pill ravaged their lives, causing psychiatric and physical damage that is getting progressively worse each year.

An Army veteran named Sean, who asked us to withhold his last name, said he took mefloquine while serving in Afghanistan from 2003 to 2004. He was 21 years old and didn't consider questioning orders.

New Emergency Regulations for Hooks, Bait, Striped Bass — May 16 through Oct. 12

The Administrative, Executive and Legislative Review Committee has approved emergency regulations pertaining to hooks, bait and striped bass. The committee has approved these regulations on a temporary basis through Oct. 12, 2018.

Effective May 16, in the Chesapeake Bay and its tidal tributaries:

  3. The minimum size for striped bass is 19 inches.
Additionally, the department is moving forward with the normal regulation process, which would keep these temporary regulations effective through the 2018 and 2019 fishing seasons.

The department is accepting public comment on these regulatory changes through May 29, 2018, and has also scheduled a hearing, which will be held at 6 p.m. May 17, 2018, at the Annapolis Friends Meeting House located at 351 Dubois Road, Annapolis, Maryland 21401. Appropriate accommodations will be provided upon request.

Rod Rosenstein has let Mueller go far too far

Rod Rosenstein is doing a star turn as principled defender of the law, but he’s performed abysmally as deputy attorney general and President Trump would be fully justified in firing him.

The leaked questions special counsel Robert Mueller wants to ask Trump in a prospective deposition are, if accurate, a sign that Mueller has spun out of control on Rosenstein’s watch. The questions suggest a free-floating investigation of the president’s motives, undertaken by a subordinate of the president. This is unlike any special-counsel investigation we’ve ever seen and represents a significant distortion of our system.

Per the questions, Mueller wants to know how Trump reacted to news stories in The Washington Post. What he thought of FBI Director James Comey during the transition. What was the purpose of a statement he made to Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business Network. What he meant by various tweets about Comey. How he feels about his attorney general.

The common household ingredient that scientists claim is WORSE for you than sugar

  • A study has revealed how soybean oil, which is the most commonly used form of vegetable oil, could be worse for you than you think
  • Not only is it a staple in most homes, it's also found in a range of packaged foods
  • Lyndi Cohen says the household ingredient shouldn't necessarily be demonised
Sugar and fat are often branded as the worst foods for your health, but there's one little known cooking ingredient that scientists have raised concerns about: soybean oil.

While the name might not sound immediately familiar to most, soybean oil is actually one of the most commonly used forms of vegetable oil, meaning that is not only a staple in most homes, it is also found in a huge variety of packaged foods.

This form of vegetable oil has long been considered by many to be a healthy choice, however a study published in science journal PLOS One has highlighted a number of reasons why the popular cooking ingredient could be causing serious damage to your well-being - revealing it may actually be worse for you than sugar.

GUNS AND GUTS: WHY EFFETE MEDIA FEAR REAL MEN

Sometimes an event happens that has a meaning beyond itself. A few months ago, Sutherland Springs, Texas, experienced the worst church shooting in U.S. history. Dozens of people were killed by a 26-year-old with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle. Thankfully, he was stopped cold by Stephen Willeford who lived nearby – and had an AR-15 of his own.

Inside all this horror stands the secure knowledge of what one “good guy with a gun” can do if he has the heart. But it touched me also to learn that this hero (he says he’s not) had been an NRA instructor who spent much of his time teaching kids the meaning and purpose of firearms – and how to handle the responsibility.

First I should say, I was one of those “kids” – I had learned to shoot during my middle school years, thanks to an NRA training program at summer camp. I got good enough to compete with other boys who lived in the Tri-State area surrounding Manhattan.

By my senior year at Trinity School, I had already developed an appreciation for the spirit behind the Second Amendment, and how it related to my country. I was captain of the rifle team and regularly carried my Remington 22 on the New York City subway. No one cared, although they knew what was in my rifle case.

First Death Reported in E. Coli Outbreak Tied to Romaine Lettuce

The first death from an ongoing outbreak of E. coli tied to romaine lettuce has been reported in California, federal health officials said Wednesday.

The outbreak -- tied to lettuce grown in Arizona -- has now also spread to half of the 50 states, with 23 more cases reported since the last update on Friday, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

So far, a total of 121 cases of illness caused by a particularly virulent strain of E. coli O157:H7 have been reported.

Medicating in Wartime: The Cannabis Legacy of Vietnam Veterans

April 30th marks the 43rd anniversary of the Fall of Saigon and the end of the War in Vietnam. About three million Vietnamese, and more than 58,000 Americans, were killed during the war.

Close to three million American men and women served in Vietnam. And around one-third of those military personnel, according to recent studies, smoked marijuana.

Cannabis grew wild in Vietnam and access to “reefer” was never an issue for U.S. military personnel. “Over there we were getting the premium stuff—no stems and seeds,” said John Adams, a retired computer engineer living in Riverside, California. Adams served two tours in Vietnam as a U.S. Marine in the late 1960s, with the 1st FSR Logistics Group in Da Nang.

No 2018 Nobel Prize in Literature, Panel Says Amid Sex Scandal

STOCKHOLM — The Swedish panel that awards the Nobel Prize in Literature said on Friday that it would take the extraordinary step of not naming a laureate this year — not because of a shortage of deserving writers, but because of the infighting and public outrage that have engulfed the group over a sexual abuse scandal.

The Swedish Academy said it would postpone the 2018 award until next year, when it will name two winners, making this the first year since World War II that the panel has decided not to bestow one of the world’s most revered cultural honors. The academy is involved only in the literature award, so other Nobel Prizes are not affected.

Newest Mueller Prosecutor Donated To Hillary Clinton

The latest addition to special counsel Robert Mueller’s team of prosecutors contributed to Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, according to federal campaign records.

Uzo Asonye, an assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, is joining Mueller’s stable of prosecutors to work as local counsel on the case against Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman who has been indicted on money laundering and bank fraud charges.

Asonye worked at the firm O’Melveny & Myers before joining the U.S. attorney’s office in 2010. Asonye donated $900 to Clinton’s presidential campaign from January to April 2008, according to Federal Election Commission records. He has not donated to any other national political campaigns since then.

Federal judge accuses Mueller's team of 'lying,' trying to target Trump: 'C'mon man!'

A federal judge on Friday harshly rebuked Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team during a hearing for ex-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort – suggesting they lied about the scope of the investigation, are seeking “unfettered power” and are more interested in bringing down the president.
"You don't really care about Mr. Manafort,” U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III told Mueller’s team. “You really care about what information Mr. Manafort can give you to lead you to Mr. Trump and an impeachment, or whatever."
Further, Ellis demanded to see the unredacted “scope memo,” a document outlining the scope of the special counsel’s Russia probe that congressional Republicans have also sought.

RED WAVE? Poll Shows Republicans Could Pick Up 9 Senate Seats

According to new Morning Consult polls, Democrats are in serious trouble in Senate races across the country. Republicans have serious leads in West Virginia, where incumbent Democrat Joe Manchin trails by 14 points; North Dakota, where incumbent Democrat Heidi Heitkamp trails by 8; Indiana, where incumbent Democrat Joe Donnelly trails by 5; Missouri, where incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill trails by 5; Montana, where incumbent Democrat Jon Tester trails by 5; Florida, where incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson is locked in a near-deadlock with Rick Scott; and Pennsylvania and Ohio, where incumbent Democrats Bill Casey and Sherrod Brown are leading by less than two points each, plus Virginia, where Tim Kaine leads by just 3 on the generic ballot. In the best-case scenario for Republicans, then, they could win up to nine additional Senate seats.

The polls are similarly shoddy in the House of Representatives for Democrats. The RealClearPolitics poll average for the generic ballot has Democrats up 6.7%, but the polls are all over the place: The Economist/YouGov has Democrats with a 3-point lead, Quinnipiac has Democrats with an 8-point lead, as does Monmouth.

Irony Defined: Eric Holder's Firm Enlisted By Facebook To Investigate Bias Against Conservatives

The amount of irony here is astounding. Leftist liberal and former attorney general Eric Holder’s firm was enlisted by the leftists over at Facebook to investigate the social media giant’s bias against conservatives. There couldn’t be a more humorously ironic story than this one.

At first, it seemed like Facebook might be trying to do the right thing: investigate the bias against those who aren’t leftists using the social media platform.

The tech company enlisted a team from law firm Covington and Burling to advise them on combating perceptions of bias against conservatives. But there’s one minor detail that Breitbart happened to pick up on: Covington and Burling is the firm of Barack Obama’s left-wing former attorney general, Eric Holder.

Eric Holder was a part of the very administration that weaponized the IRS against conservatives during Barack Obama’s reign of terror.

NBC, ABC Correct Story That Cohen's Phone Was Wiretapped

NBC and ABC News both issued corrections Thursday evening after reporting earlier in the day that President Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen had his phone wiretapped by federal investigators. The networks clarified that Cohen had not been wiretapped.

NBC first reported that “Cohen's phone lines had been wiretapped, meaning a judge had given investigators approval to listen to phone calls.”

The original story reporting the wiretap cited two sources with knowledge of the legal proceedings.

However, after three senior U.S. officials disputed that report, the network issued a correction. The officials said the monitoring of Cohen’s calls was limited to a log of calls which simply monitors incoming and outgoing calls to a number rather than listening in on them.

Special Exception Sought To Transform Historic Berlin Home Into Spa

BERLIN – It is not clear whether plans for a spa in a historic Berlin home will move forward following a board of appeals hearing this week.

On Wednesday the Berlin Board of Zoning Appeals voted 2-1 to grant 509 S. Main St. a special exception for a conditional business use in the residential district. After the vote, however, town staff said it was possible that approval of the special exception, which would allow the property to be turned into a spa, required a unanimous vote. As of Thursday, the issue was still being researched.

South Point residents Cynthia and Anthony Betterson told the board they wanted to buy the house at 509 S. Main St., known as Waverly, and turn it into “The Lavender Spa at Waverly.” The house, which was built in 1842 and is currently owned by Ernest Gerardi, has been vacant for years.

Baltimore Mayor: ‘Violence Is Still Down’ Despite Surge In Murders

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — After a decline in murders to start the new year, gunfire in Baltimore spiraled out of control in April with more than 30 people killed.

The city went 12 days without a murder in February, but since then, the numbers have spiked. April brought dozens of homicides, but the mayor says despite the recent surge, violence in Baltimore is still trending downward.

One crime scene after the other scattered across city streets is a familiar dread that has returned to Baltimore.

“All across the country, people are looking at Baltimore in a negative light because of the violence. This is a great city and it’s a shame,” Dr. Rev. Andre Humphrey said.

How Does Worcester County Handle Recycling?

BERLIN – What do garden hoses, boat wrap, tennis shoes and lawn furniture have in common?

They’re all regularly tossed into Worcester County’s recycling bins.

“You name it it’s in there,” said Mike McClung, Worcester County’s recycling coordinator.

Contrary to popular belief, just because an item’s plastic doesn’t mean it’s recyclable, at least not in Worcester County. Even the familiar recycling symbol — the arrows forming a triangle — is not a sure sign that an item can be reused. While recyclables are typically identified with the symbol and a number from one to seven, Worcester County primarily accepts just those labeled with a one or two.

“We can only process what our vendors will accept,” McClung said. “That and we’re a small facility. We’re not set up to handle anything large.”

Woke Hollywood Elites to Descend on NRA Meetings to Push Gun Control

Wealthy Hollywood elites are descending on Dallas this week to protest the National Rifle Association’s Annual Meetings and Exhibits. Oh, and David Hogg. He’s coming too. No surprise there. Kid wants to squeeze every second he can out of his 15 minutes of fame.

“Charmed” actress Alyssa Milano is leading the charge. She’ll be joined by Jimmy Kimmel, Alec Baldwin, and Amy Schumer, among others. They’re calling themselves NoRA, which stands for No Rifle Association. Clever name… not really.

A few weeks ago, the group published an open letter calling down the thunder on the nation’s gun lobby. It’s actually pretty funny how over-the-top it is, particularly the parts about bloody checks and puppets.

Executive Culver Responds To Daily Times BOGUS Article

In response to the original article in The Daily Times this morning “Salisbury Volunteer firefighters get no funds in Wicomico Budget”.

I would like to clarify that the Fire Service Agreement negotiated between the City of Salisbury and Wicomico County took into consideration the volunteers at both Station 2 and Station 16. If you reread the article you will see that Mayor Jacob Day said “the two remaining companies in Salisbury, Stations 2 and 16 will no longer receive county appropriations. Instead, more money will go directly to the city operating budget.” The committee who negotiated the agreement included Julia Glanz, Jacob Day, Jack Heath, Rick Hoppes, Marty Skarson, Chris Hopkins, Bob Culver, Wayne Strausburg, David Fitzgerald, David Shipley & Ernie Colburn. At Tuesday’s County Council’s meeting, the president of the Wicomico Fire Chief’s Association, Shanda Perry, stated Stations 2 and 16 are no longer members of the organization.

I have great appreciation for the services these men and women provide to our community.

Station 2 and 16 need to speak with Mayor Day about this issue.

North Korea releases U.S. detainees, bows to another Trump demand

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un has released three U.S. citizens detained for years in his horrific prison camps, surrendering to another of President Trump’s demands in advance of a planned historic summit between the two leaders whose countries have long been adversaries.

A series of concessions by Mr. Kim, from agreeing to a goal of denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula to freeing the three Americans, has not calmed fears among Mr. Trump’s critics that he will “wing it” in the talks and potentially empower the communist regime in Pyongyang.

Behind the scenes at the White House, however, the president has marshaled an agile team to hone a fast-paced negotiating strategy and back him up in the nuclear talks, which could be held as soon as this month or by the end of June.

What Is ‘Buddy Punching’? Businesses Advised To Be On Alert For Employee Theft

OCEAN CITY — Some resort businesses are on alert for a relatively new scam called “buddy punching,” and while the name suggests horseplay in the workplace or hazing, it’s a serious theft scheme that could and does costs thousands of dollars.

In simplest terms, buddy punching refers to the practice of an employee utilizing a clock-in, clock out system, typically the point-of-sale computer systems, to punch in their friends, co-workers or roommates when they are not working those hours or even that day.

Most cases involve just a couple hours here or there over the course of a week or payroll period, but if multiple employees are involved, it can quickly add up to thousands of dollars in lost wages. Over the course of a summer season, it could and does add up to tens of thousands of dollars in lost profits.

Attorney General Frosh Secures Conviction of Pill Mill Operator for Violating Maryland Drug Kingpin Statute

BALTIMORE, MD – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh announced today that the Honorable Michael Wachs of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County convicted Tormarco Harris, 32, of Baltimore, on all counts in a 21-count superseding indictment after a 3-day bench trial. Specifically, Judge Wachs convicted Harris of one count of violating Maryland’s drug kingpin statute; one count of conspiring to distribute controlled dangerous substances; 18 counts of distributing controlled dangerous substances; and one count of maintaining a common nuisance. Sentencing has been scheduled for June 12, 2018. At sentencing, Harris faces a 20-year mandatory minimum prison sentence under Maryland’s drug kingpin statute and up to 20 years’ imprisonment on each of the conspiracy and distribution charges.

“Lives are being lost in every corner of our state to opioid addiction,” said Attorney General Frosh. “Harris and his co-conspirators operated pill mills and illegally prescribed highly addictive drugs in exchange for hundreds of dollars from each patient. My office, with the assistance of federal and local law enforcement, came down hard, shut them down, and Harris now faces decades of time behind bars.”

"Unaccountable" Pentagon Officials Have "Weaponized" Vetting Of Trump Appointees: WSJ

Nothing ends a Washington career like being branded an unacceptable national-security risk. That’s why officials adjudicating personnel-security cases must act in a mature, objective and nonpartisan fashion. But when it comes to vetting Trump appointees, they often aren’t.

Instead, security clearances are being weaponized against the White House by hostile career bureaucrats, thwarting the president’s agenda by holding up or blocking appointees.

Consider the case of Adam Lovinger. Mr. Lovinger is a highly regarded and politically conservative Defense Department official. In January 2017, the Trump administration made a “by name” request for him to serve as a senior director on the White House National Security Council.

Before departing the Pentagon that January, Mr. Lovinger raised documented concerns with his supervisor about the misuse of contractors. One outfit, run by a woman Chelsea Clinton describes as her “best friend,” was being used to perform foreign-relations activities on behalf of the U.S. Mr. Lovinger, an attorney, perceived the arrangement as violating a federal law delineating inherently governmental functions. He also took issue with millions of dollars in public funds being spent on contractor studies of questionable relevance. One taxpayer-funded study sought to determine whether Americans are a “war-like people.”

“The National Day of Prayer brings together people of all faiths to pray for our communities and celebrates our continued commitment to the acceptance and promotion of diversity in Maryland," said Governor Larry Hogan. "As we reflect on the theme of Embracing the Future Together, we are reminded that although our faiths may differ, we are united in our resolve to contribute to our communities, help our neighbors, and change Maryland for the better."

Musical selections were performed by renowned recording artist Wintley Phipps and flutist Ashley Watkins. Prayers for the five centers of influence - Family, Government, State, Places of Worship, and the United States of America were led by:
  • Family: Bishop Gregory Dennis, Kingdom Worship Center
  • Government: Priest Chandrakant Chove, Shri Mangal Mandir
  • State: Rabbi Adam J. Raskin, Congregation Har Shalom
  • Places of Worship: Pastor John Odukoya, Fountain Community Church
  • United States of America: Imam Faizul Khan, Islamic Society of the Washington Area

"On this National Day of Prayer, we celebrate the incredible diversity of faith we enjoy in Maryland, as well as the many things that unite us," said Lt. Governor Rutherford. "Today, we come together to pray for the future of our state and recognize our shared commitment to making our communities better for the next generation."
