The homeless man charged with the first-degree murder of a Washington DC bride-to-be as she jogged two blocks from her home, may have been motivated to kill her because of her race.
Anthony Crawford, 23, was arrested after the stabbing of Wendy Martinez, 35, on Wednesday and a report states the slaying may have happened because the attacker didn't like white people.
'Investigators looking into possibility murder of jogger Wendy Martinez might have been “racially motivated.” Suspect Anthony Crawford “does not like white people.” Also has history of mental illness and K2 addiction.' wusa9.com reporter Bruce Leshan tweeted Friday.

FDA: Common flea and tick meds linked to neurological problems
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning to pet owners and veterinarians about some flea and tick prevention medication.
The FDA says the pills and chews are sold under the brand names Nexgard, Simparica, Bravecto and Credelio and all include the pesticide Isoxazoline.
The products have all received FDA approval, but the organization says some of the adverse reactions associated with Isoxazoline products include muscle tremors, ataxia and seizures.
While the products already mention the risk of the neurological side effects, the FDA said it was requiring clearer labels.
“If your pet experiences a bad reaction from a spot-on product, immediately bathe the pet with mild soap, rinse with large amounts of water, and call your veterinarian,” the FDA advises.

Haley Excluded from Refugee Reduction Meeting for Pro-Immigration Views
United Nations (U.N.) Ambassador Nikki Haley was excluded from a White House meeting on the number of refugees the United States will admit next year due to her pro-immigration views.
According to sources who spoke with NBC News, President Trump’s senior adviser Stephen Miller set up a meeting to discuss where the administration would set the refugee resettlement cap for next year. Ultimately, as Breitbart News reported, Trump reduced the refugee cap to 30,000 total admissions, which is solely a cap, not a target for the administration to reach.
Haley, the sources said, was specifically excluded from the meeting on the refugee resettlement program because of her known pro-immigration viewpoints. Defense Secretary James Mattis and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo argued against reducing the inflow of refugees, despite Trump’s long-held promise to cut immigration to the country.
While visiting India in July, Haley said America was founded as a “nation of immigrants” with “multiple cultures” and “multiple populations,” calling the multicultural worldview the “fabric of America.”

Perkins: ‘Pray’ and ‘Vote’ for the ‘Sake of America’
Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Center and FRC Action, said on Friday at the opening of the 2018 Values Voter Summit in Washington, DC, that people should exercise their faith at the ballot box.
“For the sake of America, will you pray?” Perkins said. “Will you pray for this mid-term election? Will you pray for our leaders?”
Perkins’ remarks set the tone for the largest gathering of social conservatives in the country by focusing on the importance of having one’s faith motivate them to vote in the midterm elections.
“Ladies and gentlemen, you are here for the sake of America,” Perkins said. “And there are those who will criticize us that we’re nationalistic because we want to restore America to a position of strength.”
“Well let me say, ladies and gentlemen, that we need not apologize,” Perkins said. “For those critics who may be quick to label us and this event as a dog whistle to American nationalism; others may say now, using that famous phrase, ‘What difference does it make?’”
“Let me say it makes a world of difference,” Perkins said. “To pray for, to vote for, and to stand for a strong America is not a self-serving endeavor.”

Ivy League Study: Illegal Population is 22 Million, Double the Establishment Estimate
The population of illegal migrants is roughly 22 million, or twice the establishment estimate of 11 million, say three professors from Yale University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The shocking estimate will force establishment politicians and pro-migration advocates to recalculate the estimated impact of the huge illegal population on wages and salaries, on crime rates, welfare consumption, rental and real-estate prices, productivity rates, and the distribution of job-creating investment funds to coastal vs. heartland states.
The higher illegal population estimate helps explain why Americans’ wages and salaries have risen so little amid apparently record-low unemployment rates, and it also undercuts companies’ loud demands for yet more immigration of foreign workers, consumers, and renters.

Kavanaugh Surprise TV Interview: ‘I’m Not Going Anywhere’
During excerpts of his interview set to air on Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “The Story,” Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh denied the allegations against him, said he was never at any party like the one described by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, and declared, “I’m not going anywhere.”
Kavanaugh said, “I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone, in high school or otherwise. I am not questioning, and have not questioned, that perhaps Dr. Ford, at some point in her life, was sexually assaulted by someone, in some place. But what I know is I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone.”
He also said, “I was never at any such party. The other people who are alleged to be present have said they do not remember any such party. A woman who was present — another woman who was present, who was Dr. Ford’s lifelong friend has said she doesn’t know me and never remembers being at a party with me at any time in her life.”

Another 'Witness' Denies Knowledge of Allegation Against Brett Kavanaugh
An attorney representing Leland Ingham Keyser, a longtime friend of Christine Blasey Ford, the California psychology professor who recently made public an accusation of decades-old sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, said Friday evening that her client denies possessing any knowledge of the alleged incident.
In a statement obtained by Breitbart News, Keyser’s attorney, Howard Walsh, wrote, “Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.” According to the news outlet, Walsh confirmed that his client and Ford are “lifelong friend[s].”
Earlier this week, a staffer for the Senate Judiciary Committee sent a letter the Keyser, notifying her that she was identified as an attendee of the house party where the alleged incident occurred. “I understand that you have been identified as an individual who was in attendance at a party that occurred circa 1982 described in a recent Washington Post article,” Lauren Mehler, Senior Counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee for Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) wrote. “Pursuant to our Committee’s investigative practices, we would like to have a confidential phone call with you regarding the allegations made in the article about Judge Brett Kavanaugh.”

Graham: Ford’s Testimony Won’t Change My Vote -- 'Unless There’s Something More'
On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said the testimony of Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford would not change his mind, but he added that caveat that “unless there’s something more.”
When asked if there “is anything Ford could say” that would change his vote for Kavanaugh, Graham said, “I want to listen to her, but I’m being honest with you and everybody else. What do you expect me to do? You can’t bring it in a criminal court. You would never sue civilly. You couldn’t even get a warrant. What am I supposed to do? Go ahead and ruin this guy’s life based on an accusation? I don’t know when it happened, I don’t know where it happened, and everybody named in regard to being there said it didn’t happen.”

Ellison Accuser Predicts His Denials ‘Will End Up Humiliating Him And His Family’
The woman accusing Democratic Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison of domestic abuse predicted that Ellison’s attempts to “spin” the story will end up backfiring.
Karen Monahan has accused Ellison, the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the party’s nominee for Minnesota attorney general, of emotionally and physically abusing her during their years-long relationship.
Ellison accused Monahan of fabricating her allegations during a debate Friday night, where the congressman also suggested that more women may “cook up” allegations against him.
In a string of tweets early Sunday morning, Monahan claimed Ellison is using his daughter to “smear and lie about me.”

Bolton Hits Chinese for Hack of OPM Records
White House National Security Adviser John Bolton confirmed this week that China carried out the cyber attack on the Office of Personnel Management in the theft of more than 22 million sensitive records on American government officials.
Bolton disclosed the Chinese hacking in unveiling the Trump administration's new national cyber strategy, which shifts the focus of security efforts from the passive approach of the administration of President Barack Obama to a proactive, aggressive stance against cyber attacks.
"For any nation that's taking cyber activity against the United States … we will respond offensively as well as defensively," Bolton bluntly stated at the White House Thursday.
China has been the most aggressive in conducting cyber espionage and cyber technology theft against the United States.
The National Security Agency estimated several years ago that China obtained 50 terabytes of data through cyber espionage, including details on F-35 and F-22 jets, space-based lasers, and other valuable data.
Intelligence officials believe the Chinese are using the stolen data to conduct data mining operations in seeking potential spy recruits or identifying targets for cyber espionage.
Obama and his administration refused to publicly blame China for conducting the attack over fears of upsetting U.S. trade and diplomatic relations with Beijing.

Dems were okay with putting 'sexual predator/rapist' in White House says Clinton accuser Broaddrick
Juanita Broaddrick had a comeback for Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff after he warned that Republicans should not put “someone who may have committed attempted rape” on the Supreme Court.
“I got one better than that, Shifty,” said Ms. Broaddrick in a Friday tweet. “[Y]our party elected a sexual predator/rapist as President & when the evidence was put under their nose, they refused to read it.”
She referred to the 1999 impeachment hearings against President Bill Clinton that ended with all Senate Democrats — including Sens. Dick Durbin, Dianne Feinstein and Patty Murray — siding with the Democratic president, despite multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.
Ms. Broaddrick said Senate Democrats refused to read her deposition in which she accused Mr. Clinton of raping her in a Little Rock hotel room during his 1978 campaign for Arkansas governor, an allegation which he has denied.

Bloomberg-Funded Lawyer in Oregon DOJ Not Entirely Legal
A "special assistant attorney general" who has been working for Oregon's Department of Justice, yet whose salary was being paid by Michael Bloomberg using a pass-through agency, is working in circumstances partially or completely contrary to Oregon law, according to an analysis by the office of legal counsel that serves the Oregon State Legislature.
The scheme of third-party sources paying for this attorney and others like him was uncovered and reported in late August by Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C.
Horner's investigation found similar arrangements in AG offices in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Washington, Massachusetts, and New York, and shows that the attorneys were hired to focus on climate change issues.

Hirono: Kavanaugh Doesn’t Get Presumption of Innocence Because of His ‘Ideological Agenda’
Sen. Mazie Hirono (D., Hawaii) appeared on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday, where she appeared to insinuate that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh does not get the presumption of innocence because of his "ideological agenda," citing his views on abortion.
Christine Blasey Ford, a professor of psychology at Palo Alto University in California, has accused Kavanaugh of drunkenly pinning her to a bed, groping her, and trying to stifle her screams at a high school party in the early 1980's. Kavanaugh denied the allegations, as has his former classmate Mark Judge, who Ford claims was also in the room at the time of the alleged incident. Two other people that Ford alleges were at the party in question, have also denied any knowledge of the party or sexual assault.
Tapper said that four witnesses have denied knowledge of the sexual assault allegation waged against Kavanaugh before asking Hirono whether Kavanaugh should get the presumption of innocence as any other American.

NO ONE Backs Up Her Story.
Christine Blasey Ford has claimed that four other people attended a small gathering at which she was allegedly assaulted by Brett Kavanaugh. Three of those people, PJ Smyth, Mark Judge, and Kavanaugh, have already denied any recollection of attending such a party.

"Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford," lawyer Howard J. Walsh said in a statement sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
CNN reports that " Keyser is a lifelong friend of Ford's."

An Ohio strip club had its liquor license revoked Thursday for allegedly accepting food stamps for lap dances and illegal drugs.
The Ohio Liquor Commission announced Thursday that it was revoking the liquor license for Sharky’s Lounge in Harrison Township after investigators caught employees exchanging more than $2,000 in food stamps for lap dances and illegal drugs—including cocaine, fentanyl, carfentanil, heroin, and methamphetamine—in exchange for their benefits.

Mom in court for taking phone from daughter
HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — A mom said she was punishing her daughter when she took away her cellphone, a punishment she figured would get her point across.
But on Tuesday, that mom was standing before a district judge, her disciplinary action labeled a crime. She was accused of stealing that phone and facing possible jail time.
"I was just being a mom, a concerned parent and disciplining my daughter," said Jodie May of Grandville.
She told 24 Hour News 8 she took the iPhone 6 from her 15-year-old daughter in April after the girl got in trouble in school.
Her ex-husband, though, told police he owned the phone and claimed his ex-wife's punishment was a crime. He filed a complaint with the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, alleging his ex-wife stole the phone. That led to her arrest in May, though she was immediately released on a $200 bond. She faced a misdemeanor charge of larceny under $200, punishable by up to 93 days in jail.

Bill Bennett: Where was the liberal outrage over Ted Kennedy?
Conservative icon Bill Bennett said Saturday the uproar over Judge Brett Kavanaugh has exposed Democrats for having a political double standard, asking where was the outcry over former Sen. Ted Kennedy’s involvement in a 1969 car crash on Chappaquiddick Island in Massachusetts that left a woman dead.
Mr. Bennett, who served in the Reagan White House, said on the one hand you have a person in Mr. Kavanaugh who has been accused of being rough with a teenage girl in high school and on the other hand you have “a man of the United States Senate, drunk, he drives his car off a bridge into the water while a young woman is with him.”
“He leaves her to drown and to die,” Mr. Bennett said at the Values Voters Summit in Washington.

Jobless claims post surprise drop, hit lowest levels since 1969
The number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits unexpectedly fell last week, hitting near a 49-year low in a sign the job market remains strong.
Initial claims for state unemployment benefits fell by 3,000 to a seasonally adjusted level of 201,000 for the week ended Sept. 15, the Labor Department said on Thursday. That is the lowest level since November 1969. Data for the prior week’s claims was unrevised.
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast claims rising to 210,000 in the latest week.
The Labor Department said only claims for Hawaii were estimated last week. The four-week moving average of initial claims, considered a better measure of labor market trends as it irons out week-to-week volatility, declined by 2,250 to 205,750 last week, the lowest level since December 1969.

Multiculturalism killed the Swedish utopia
Horrific statistics show that Sweden, once a country where one could walk the streets at night safely, has become a crime-ridden country with no-go zones. But connect that with Muslim migrants at your own peril.
On August 30th, Sweden hosted the first “women only” music festival in the world. Entry to Gothenburg was forbidden to men. It was a “safe zone” reserved for women, trans and “non-binary people”, as they call them.
The idea came to comedian Emma Knyckare a year ago, after the Bravalla festival ended with numerous complaints of sexual violence. And many of those cases involved refugees.
Now Sweden is preparing for the “most important elections in history” and the “women's solo concert” illustrates well the crisis of that “moral superpower”, as the New York Times calls it.
In recent years, Sweden has been proud of its humanitarian profile, being the country that has received more refugees per capita and spent more on them in relation to GDP than any other. For the first time since 1917, the Social Democratic Party, which has formed governments in 80 of the 101 years since the introduction of democracy, risks being undermined.
But the current crisis is not only political, with the rise of the Swedish Democrats. It is above all an identity crisis. “Sweden is joining the rest of Europe”, the former Prime Minister Carl Bildt said with melancholy.
In a country of ten million inhabitants, in 2017 there were 320 shootings and dozens of assaults with grenades (Molotov cocktails were also launched against synagogues and Jews now hide their symbols in the streets). As reported by the London Times, 36 percent of Swedish women admit they do not feel safe at night. Paulina Neuding, an internationally renowned Swedish journalist born of a Jewish family who emigrated from Communist Poland at the time of persecution there, said that Sweden is experiencing a “crisis of sexual violence”.

This Man's Incredible Story Proves Why Due Process Matters In The Kavanaugh Case
Somewhere between the creation of the Magna Carta and now, leftists have forgotten why due process matters; and in some cases, such as that of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, they choose to outright ignore the judicial and civil rights put in place by the U.S. Constitution.
In this age of social media justice mobs, the accused are often convicted in the court of public opinion long before any substantial evidence emerges to warrant an investigation or trial. This is certainly true for Kavanaugh. His accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, cannot recall the date of the alleged assault and has no supporting witnesses, yet law professors are ready to ruin his entire life and career. Not because they genuinely believe he's guilty, but because he's a pro-life Trump nominee for the Supreme Court.

In NYT, law professors say Ford allegation should sink Kavanaugh even if untrue; if Kavanaugh somehow confirmed, should be impeached. Dem senator: '"Even if they were to ram this guy through, as soon as Democrats get gavels we're going to want to get to the bottom of this.'

West OC Project Gets EDUs After Request Reduced
OCEAN CITY – A townhouse project on Route 611 is expected to move forward following county leaders’ approval of sewer capacity for the development.
A request from Sea Oaks Village LLC for 63 EDUs (equivalent dwelling units) of sanitary sewer service was approved by the Worcester County Commissioners this week. The sewer capacity will serve a proposed residential community consisting of 59 townhouses and 24,000 square feet of commercial space.
Because the EDU request was approved, Hugh Cropper, attorney for Sea Oaks, said his client would dismiss the lawsuit filed against the county late last year, following the commissioners’ decision to deny a previous EDU request.
“My clients are happy,” Cropper said.

Trump To Investigate Google, Facebook Under New Executive Order: Bloomberg
According to a an early draft of an Executive Order (EO), the White House will instruct federal law enforcement and antitrust agencies to launch investigations into the business practices of Facebook, Google and other social media companies, according to Bloomberg which says it has seen the draft.
While not specifically calling out companies by name, the document orders US antitrust officials to "thoroughly investigate whether any online platform has acted in violation of the antitrust laws," while instructing other agencies to return recommendations within a month of Trump signing the EO which could potentially "protect competition among online platforms and address online platform bias."
The document doesn’t name any specific companies. If signed, the order would represent a significant escalation of Trump’s antipathy toward Google, Facebook, Twitter and other social media companies, whom he has publicly accused of silencing conservative voices and news sources online.
The draft order directs that any actions federal agencies take should be “consistent with other laws" -- an apparent nod to concerns that it could threaten the traditional independence of U.S. law enforcement or conflict with the First Amendment, which protects political views from government regulation. -Bloomberg

Presumed Guilty: WSJ Opines On "The New Liberal Standard"
The Wall Street Journal editorial board has penned a scathing Op-Ed, claiming that "the Democratic standard for sexual assault allegations is that they should be accepted as true merely for having been made."
The Journal says that while the last-minute accusation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is an "ugly spectacle" by itself - liberals have abandoned the entire notion of due process and the burden of proof in order to fit a political agenda.
Via the Wall Street Journal:
The Presumption of Guilt
The new liberal standard turns American due process upside down.
“As Judge Kavanaugh stands to gain the lifetime privilege of serving on the country’s highest court, he has the burden of persuasion. And that is only fair.”
—Anita Hill, Sept. 18, 2018
“Not only do women like Dr. Ford, who bravely comes forward, need to be heard, but they need to be believed.”
—Sen. Maize Hirono (D., Hawaii)
The last-minute accusation of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is an ugly spectacle by any measure. But if there is a silver lining, it is that the episode is providing an education for Americans on the new liberal standard of legal and political due process.
As Ms. Hill and Sen. Hirono aver, the Democratic standard for sexual-assault allegations is that they should be accepted as true merely for having been made. The accuser is assumed to be telling the truth because the accuser is a woman. The burden is on Mr. Kavanaugh to prove his innocence. If he cannot do so, then he is unfit to serve on the Court.

WaPo Concealed Kavanaugh Party Claim From Public After Coordinating With Accuser: Strassel
The Washington Post has been busted by WSJ columnist Kimberly Strassel for intentionally withholding information from their reporting of Christine Blasey Ford's claim that Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a high school party in the early 1980s, which "further undercuts the Ford accusation."
Strassel obtained a copy of the email WaPo sent to Mark Judge, one of the teenagers Ford claims was at the party - revealing that the Post knew the names of those at the alleged party, as well as the fact that one of them was a woman - Ford's "longtime" friend Leland Keyser (then Ingham).
Publicly, the Post reported that there were four boys at the party the same day they revealed to Judge that they knew there was a girl.
What's more, WaPo now writes: "Before her name became public, Ford told The Post she did not think Keyser would remember the party because nothing remarkable had happened there, as far as Keyser was aware."
And instead of reporting this, the Post allowed Ford's claim tha there were four boys at the party stand until word of Keyser's alleged attendance became public knowledge late last week.

Jeb Bush: Americans Urging Immigration Controls 'Threatened' by 'Less White' U.S.
Failed 2016 presidential candidate and former Florida governor Jeb Bush says Americans who are urging for immigration controls are “threatened” by their perception that the United States is “changing” and becoming “less white.”
In a podcast interview with National Review Editor Nordlinger, Bush said immigration controls were “foolhardy” and that illegal alien crime gets too much attention compared to crimes committed by American citizens.
Bush said:
Our party is advocating restricting legal immigration as well. And I think that’s foolhardy beyond belief. There’s a way to reform the legal immigration system that would be a catalyst for sustained economic growth and we need it because our demography is going the wrong way. [Emphasis added]
There are quite a few people that have a larger megaphone if you will that seem either threatened by what they perceive to be a changing country that is less white perhaps … basically, there’s a concern that we’ve lost our way and immigrants are kind of easy to single out with vitriol. [Emphasis added]

Keith Ellison Runs From Loomer and Crowd of Domestic Abuse Survivors
Investigative reporter and Big League Politics contributor Laura Loomer was in Minnesota on Friday night where she confronted Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), a candidate for State Attorney General, over police reports of domestic abuse by two women.
Ellison is also the deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
Loomer confronted Ellison after the State Attorney General debate along with a group of domestic abuse survivors.
The latest confrontation came only three weeks after Loomer crashed an Ellison campaign event, police report in hand, where Ellison’s goons tried to intimidate her into leaving.

#MeToo has morphed into a career-destroying angry mob
#MeToo has done a lot of work exposing uncomfortable truths, but now its eagerness to denounce is taking on a censorious tone. #TimesUp is becoming #ShutUp.
Recall that the movement got going when women who had long remained silent felt emboldened to speak up after many years. Yet last week one such woman was telling her story. There was a broad public attempt to silence this Korean runaway who doesn’t know her own birthday and grew up eating out of garbage cans on the streets of Seoul before being dumped into an orphanage. Her adoptive mother, she says, regularly belittled her, abused her and essentially made her serve as a household domestic. Then this crazy momster labeled her daughter “retarded.” After all of this, Soon-Yi Previn doesn’t get a right to speak? Because she’s married to Woody Allen?
I’ve written before about how it’s nearly impossible to believe that Allen is guilty of child molestation when you look at the evidence, but the fanciful-to-preposterous case for his guilt is, 26 years after his alleged crime, suddenly being accepted as gospel by the #MeToo crowd, which in turn has rebuked Previn and also Daphne Merkin, a longtime friend of Allen.
When Merkin’s convincing New York magazine profile of Soon-Yi ran last week, #MeToo told both of them to shut their pie-holes about Woody Allen, forever. (The editor who actually ran the piece, New York chief Adam Moss, seemed to escape censure.) “Let the women speak” somehow turned into “Only certain women should speak.”

Big Labor Drops Big Dollars on Dems
12 of the 25 highest outside spenders on midterms are labor groups
Big Labor is dropping big money on the 2018 elections despite their own rhetoric about outside spending.
Unions represent 12 of the top 25 largest outside spending organizations in the 2018 midterm elections. Two of the three highest institutional outside spenders are labor groups, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. The Carpenters and Joiners Union tops the list having spent $23.8 million on the midterm elections. Nearly all of that money has gone to aid Democratic congressional and Senate candidates, as conservatives benefited from only $612,500. Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA) is the third largest with $11.1 million spent—$10.3 million has gone to aid Democratic candidates.
Neither the Carpenters nor Laborers returned Washington Free Beacon requests for comment.
Blue-collar union members helped deliver Donald Trump to the White House despite the labor movement's near-universal embrace of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. The disconnect between the voting habits of union members and that of leadership led some high profile labor leaders to reconsider ties between the Democratic Party and labor groups. Carpenters union president Doug McCarron and LIUNA president Terry O'Sullivan both met President Trump during his opening days at the White House and praised him for his agenda on trade and infrastructure.
Trump has made a point of courting private-sector unions, especially in the construction trades where he built his own company. He boasted about his longstanding ties to the industry at the2017 conference for North America's Building Trades Union—a collection of more than a dozen construction labor groups under the AFL-CIO umbrella. Despite his wooing, the Building Trades Union spent $42 million on the 2018 elections with $40 million going to aid Democratic candidates, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Industrial unions spent $10,115,261 on the elections—only $2,745 has gone to conservative candidates or groups.

Mike Pompeo and Nikki Haley Slam ‘Ludicrous’ CNN Question About 25th Amendment
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo ridiculed a question Monday about whether the cabinet ever had 25th Amendment conversations about removing President Donald Trump from office.
“I find the question ludicrous,” Pompeo said. “I’ve never heard anyone talk about it, whisper about it, joke about it in any way. I’ve been in a lot of meetings with a lot of senior officials from this government.”
CNN’s Jim Acosta questioned UN Ambassador Nikki Haley if the conversations had ever taken place, mistakenly calling her the “only person here” at the press conference that had been in the Trump administration from the beginning.
Pompeo corrected Acosta, reminding him that he started in the administration as the CIA director.
“You can now report that there are two senior administration officials that said that your statement is ludicrous,” he said.
Haley also denied the question, calling it “absurd.”
“Literally, I’ve never once been in the White House where that conversation has happened,” she said. “I am not aware of any cabinet members that are even talking about that, it is completely and totally absurd.”

Feinstein, other Dems largely silent on abuse claims against Keith Ellison
As top Democrats speak out on sexual misconduct claims against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, they've been largely silent on physical and verbal harassment claims against one of their own: Rep. Keith Ellison, a top Democratic National Committee (DNC) official.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, revealed earlier this month she knew of the initial accusations that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted a woman in the early 1980s, when he and the accuser were teenagers. Feinstein, D-Calif., called for an immediate postponement of the Kavanaugh nomination process Sunday night after another woman publicly claimed he harassed her. Feinstein said the serious allegations deserve a “fair, independent” investigation from the FBI.
Kavanaugh has denied both accusers' claims strongly.
Meanwhile, Ellison’s ex-girlfriend, Karen Monahan, on Sunday claimed there's been a smear campaign against her to help her husband. Last week, she said many Democrats haven't believed her claims: “I've been smeared, threatened, isolated from my own party.”

Trump Reform Denies Green Cards To People Who Expect Taxpayer Aid
The Department of Homeland Security has released its draft regulation to bar the legal immigration of people who are likely to rely on taxpayer-funded aid programs, including medical care, pensions, and anti-poverty aid.
The regulation is based on long-standing law, and could begin operating early next year.
Overall, the regulation is expected to sharply cut the taxpayers’ cost of supporting the roughly 1.1 million legal migrants who are given green cards each year. Over time, it may also reduce the inflow of unskilled labor, helping nudge up wages for unskilled Americans and prior immigrants.

Soros’s Son Pours Nearly $3 Million Into Democrat Coffers for Midterms
Alexander Soros, the son of liberal billionaire George Soros, has given nearly $3 million to Democrat committees this election cycle for the midterm elections, Federal Election Commission filings show.
Alex acts as the deputy chair of the Open Society Foundations, his father's nonprofit that disburses large sums of cash to liberal organizations and causes, and has followed in his father's footsteps in recent years by becoming a major liberal donor.
Alex's largest donation this cycle was for $2 million to the Senate Majority PAC (SMP), a committee launched by former staffers of retired Nevada senator Harry Reid that is dedicated to electing and keeping Democrats in the Senate.

People Share Their Worst Soccer Mom Stories, And They're Unbelievable
"Unfortunately for her, one of the spectators was a cop who promptly came down and restrained her. He then called one of his on-duty buddies."
We’re not trying to rip on soccer moms. They’ve got a tough job, after all—it’s not easy raising a kid, and when we think about trading in our premium sports car (a 2008 Ford Focus) for a minivan, we cringe. Soccer moms of the world, we thank you for your sacrifice.
With that said, we love to read about uncomfortable social situations, and when Reddit users shared their worst (and therefore best) soccer mom stories, we grabbed the popcorn and prepared for some truly epic tales of entitled moms. Here’s a few of the best, cleaned up slightly for grammar and readability.

1. When your story starts at McDonald’s, you know some shady stuff is going down.
“This one is a double whammy,” wrote Letra5. “It’s a double whammy of epic proportions.”
The writer, a Mexican-American woman (that will become important later in the story), was waiting in line at McDonald’s with a friend when a large SUV pulled up.
“A small tribe of soccer kids enter the restaurant,” she wrote. “I’d like to say 8-10 year olds. [They] go running to the playground while a rather thin, slanky woman (Hispanic, not white) walks towards the restroom.”
“She comes back, calls a kid over, and tells him something. The kid comes running [towards us] and asks if he can cut in line so he can get an ice cream cone. I stand there for a second, contemplating my response, because I fear I know where this s**t is going…but I cave and say, ‘Yes.’”
