HotAir is reporting that nine Guantanamo Bay inmates are being transferred this week. Their next destination? Saudi Arabia:
President Obama is desperate to empty the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay before the end of his presidency. In fact, he’s so desperate he’s decided to hand over 9 prisoners to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia even in the midst of several media reports suggesting the Saudis were either complicit or possibly even involved in the 9/11 terror attacks.
More on the 9/11 angle in a moment. First, the details on the nine detainees.
According to the Washington Post, they’re all Yemeni and include one Tariq Ba Odah, a detainee since 2002 who has gained media attention recently for a hunger strike in protest of his detention:
Military officials had been force-feeding Ba Odah daily, strapping him down and pumping a liquefied supplement through his nose to his stomach. He began his hunger strike in 2007 and had lost roughly half his body weight. At one point last year, the 37-year-old weighed as little as 74 pounds.
While the military has said that Ba Odah was clinically stable, his attorneys had submitted testimony from doctors warning that his hunger strike could have ended in his death.
In the coming weeks, President Obama is expected to declassify 28 pages of the 9/11 report that may implicate members of the Saudi Royal family in the 9/11 terrorists attacks. The Saudis have for their part threatened all sorts of things to prevent that from happening. If the reports are true, they will only confirm what most Americans know to be true: our greatest "ally" in the region is a snake just as poisonous as the rest of them.
If that's the case, then we should be sending these terrorists anywhere BUT Saudi Arabia. AAN suggests tying cement blocks to their feet and extraditing them to the Kingdom of Atlantis, at the bottom of the ocean.

Hollywood Leftist Says It's "Obscene to Raise Money For Hillary"
The idea of a $353,400-per-couple fundraiser for a politician is “obscene,” according to Hollywood leftist George Clooney.
Clooney made the comments while discussing his recent $353,400-per-couple fundraiser for Hillary Clinton.
The Daily Caller reports:
“Yes, I think it’s an obscene amount of money,” the Academy Award winning actor tells “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd.
“You know we had some protesters last night when we pulled up in San Francisco, and they’re right to protest, they’re absolutely right, it’s an obscene amount of money,” Clooney added.
With liberalism hypocrisy isn’t a bug. It’s a feature.

Anti-Trump Editor Makes a Shocking Admission About His Chances
National Review has been a strong opponent of Donald Trump ever since he entered the presidential race. The magazine even published a “Never Trump” special issue before the Iowa Caucus in January.
But in a Wednesday column in Politico, National Review editor-in-chief Rich Lowry made a startling admission about Trump’s chances at winning the Republican presidential nomination.
Here’s what he said:
For all of Trump’s weakness, his opposition is divided and uncertain. It is hobbled by several factors: 1) The establishment truly disdains Cruz, so won’t unite around him (if Marco Rubio were in Cruz’s position right now, he’d have 40 Senate endorsements and donors would be throwing money at him). 2) The chances are still reasonably good that Trump will be the nominee, meaning that the natural reflex of elected officials and other elements of the establishment is to hedge their bets. 3) Cruz doesn’t have enough strength with moderates to consistently and reliably deny Kasich support, so the governor’s zombie campaign lumbers on as a potential spoiler. 4) The Stop Trump groups, underfunded and built on the fly, have to make tough, resource-driven choices and decided, for instance, not even to try to build on their Wisconsin success in New York.
In many ways, the race became over when Ted Cruz became the leading opponent to Donald Trump instead of Marco Rubio. Many in the GOP despise Ted Cruz and Cruz has been forced to suck up to the establishment to get their support. Trump has been able to brand Cruz as an establishment Trojan horse.
Plus many of the anti-Trump people refuse to commit resources to essentially back Ted Cruz. Remember, most of these people were originally Marco Rubio supporters.
It’s still telling to see the anti-Trump editor of National Review essentially admit that Trump’s chances of becoming the GOP nominee are “reasonably good.”

Governor Larry Hogan Announces New State Parks Partnership
Maryland Park Service to Honor National Park Program - “Every Kid in a Park” Pass
ANNAPOLIS, MD – In recognition of the National Park Service’s Centennial celebration, Governor Larry Hogan and Department of Natural Resources Secretary Mark Belton announced today that the Maryland Park Service will honor the national “Every Kid in a Park” program. Through this initiative, which provides complimentary national park admission to fourth grade students and their families, Maryland will now accept the pass for admission to state parks. The Earth Day announcement was made during a National Park Week visit to Assateague Island National Seashore and tour of Assateague State Park.
“The National Parks Service is an important partner for Maryland, not just here on Assateague Island but across the state, from the Appalachian National Scenic Trail to the new Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park,” said Governor Hogan. “I am very pleased that the state can participate in this fantastic educational program and I encourage everyone to visit Maryland this summer to take advantage of our beloved bays and world-renowned parks.”
The Maryland Park Service will accept the National Park Service’s “Every Kid in a Park” pass now through Aug. 31 at all 72 state parks. The purpose of the national program is to increase accessibility to public lands and waters for children – primarily 9-10 years of age – and their families. The pass will provide free admission to Maryland state parks but will not cover additional amenities, such as camping, boat rentals, or staff-led tours.
“This program will cultivate, develop, and engage the next generation of environmental advocates, leaders, and stewards,” Secretary Belton said. “Educating and engaging our students and youth about our natural world is critically important, especially during this developmental period. Connecting more children with nature is and will remain a top priority for the department as we continue to look for innovative ways to enhance and increase public access to our lands and waters.”
As part of the visit, Governor Hogan presented a proclamation to the National Park Service highlighting the state’s shared commitment to connecting and nurturing the next generation of advocates, supporters, and visitors, and highlighting the positive contribution of the National Park Service’s 16 national parks, six national natural landmarks, and two national heritage areas in Maryland. Following the presentation, the governor took a tour of Assateague State Park, where he reviewed ongoing reconstruction projects following Winter Storm Jonas. The state has rebuilt sand dunes, planted additional beach grasses, and plans to erect new fencing along the shore.

The 1936 Stainless Steel Ford...
Here is your trippy-trivia for the day. What a great conversation piece and brand statement.
In 1935, officials at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Division and the Ford Motor Company collaborated on an experiment that would become a legacy and a tribute to one of the most dynamic metals ever developed. Allegheny Ludlum, a pioneer producer of stainless steel, proposed the idea of creating a stainless steel car to Ford. The idea took shape in the form of a 1936 Deluxe Sedan. That car became the centerpiece of a campaign to expose the public to the new metal and its many uses.
This is the 1936 Ford Tudor Sedan built for and owned by Allegheny Ludlum Steel. This is 1 of only 4 in existence and is the only one currently in running and in road worthy condition
The jaw-dropping beauty offered here is one of that tiny production run,
The car is in exceptional condition, with the interior and even the frame looking great. All 4 cars each had over 200,000 miles on them before they removed them from service. .
These cars were built for Allegheny as promotional and marketing projects. The top salesmen each year were given the honor of being able to drive them for one year. The V-8 engine (max 85 hp) ran like a sewing machine and was surprisingly smooth and quiet.
I thought this was a much better looking automobile than the Ford Thunderbird that visited us last year. FYI, the car was insured (we were told) for the trip to Louisville via covered trailer for 1.5 million dollars. .
We were also told that the dies were ruined by stamping the stainless car parts, making these the last of these cars ever produced.
The only privately owned example, it won 2 trophies at the Early V8 Club Auburn 2009 event, 1st Place at the 2009 Hershey AACA event and was nominated for the 2009 AACA Car of the Year.
Recently restored by Lon Kruger, one of the world̢۪s best restorers, the car utilizes the standard 221/85 HP flathead mated to a 3-speed manual and working Columbia overdrive, and has been driven just 18 miles since its restoration.
Donald Trump Won Hispanic Vote in New York City
GOP frontrunner Donald Trump won more than 50 percent of the Hispanic vote in New York City, according to exit polls.
Analysis of the New York Times‘ vote tracker shows Trump won 61 percent in areas with at least a 50 percent Hispanic population.
“It’s an unexpected victory to many political pundits and establishment Republicans who were sure Mr. Trump would [repel] the Hispanic vote through his bombastic statements and immigration plan,” the Washington Times’ Kelly Riddell reports.

UK Pols Furious At Obama's Plan to Intrude In EU Debate
President Obama looks set to wade into the contentious debate in the United Kingdom over whether or not the nation should remain a member of the European Union – and some Brits are angry at the president’s intrusion into a delicate UK issue ahead of a major vote.
Obama will arrive in London late Thursday for a three-day trip. On Friday he will meet Prime Minister David Cameron -- who is reportedly keen to get Obama’s backing ahead of the June 23 referendum, in which Britons will choose to remain or leave the European Union.
Cameron is in a difficult position, backing the “Remain” campaign, while many within his own Conservative Party are campaigning for the “Leave” or “Brexit” (British-Exit) campaign. Polls have shows the race is tight, with the Remain campaign holding an edge as small as one percent.
The White House has said Obama is willing to offer his opinion and may announce that he favors Cameron's position – that Britain should remain in the European Union.
"If he's asked his view as a friend, he will offer it," U.S. Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes said. "As the president has said, we support a strong United Kingdom in the European Union."
Those calling for Britain to leave the European Union are not happy at that news, with U.K. Independence Party leader Nigel Farage saying Obama should stay home.

Roger Stone: Cruz Doesn’t Have ‘Temperament to Be President’
Veteran political operative Roger Stone questions whether Texas
Sen. Ted Cruz has the “temperament” to be president. On Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM, Stone cited Cruz’s testy interview with radio host Sean Hannity.
“The pressure really is on Cruz now. It’s a very, very narrow path going forward,” Stone said. “I really wonder if Ted Cruz demonstrated he had the temperament to be president last night with Sean Hannity. I don’t want my president blowing up like that. I don’t want the guy with his finger on the button snapping like that.”
Stone also called GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s big win in New York a “massacre” and said Cruz should give up on Northeastern states while building support in California.
“Given the fact that Connecticut, the most Republican part of Connecticut, is in the New York media market, and that is also true of the upcoming New Jersey — the largest part of New Jersey, about 70 percent of New Jersey voters are in the New York media market. This is a win that has an impact on several of the bordering states. So it does magnify the win. This was a massacre,” said Stone.
“Trump spent very little resources,” Stone said. “This was once again Donald Trump himself campaigning across the upstate area an in places like Watertown on a very strategically clever operation and targeted congressional districts based on sophisticated polling. So we saw a new sophistication in the Trump campaign we haven’t seen previously and I attribute this to a couple things.”

Sears to Close 78 Stores This Summer
Sears Holdings Corp. will close another78 stores — 68 Kmart units, and 10 Sears stores — as it looks to restore profitability.
That accounts for about 5 percent of its store base, which is nearly 1,700 stores.
The ailing company, based in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, had said in February that it would accelerate the closing of unprofitable stores following a "challenging" holiday season. The move announced Thursday is expected to generate a "meaningful level" of cash from the liquidation of store inventories and from the sale or sublease of some of the related real estate, it said Thursday.
All 10 Sears stores and nearly all the Kmart stores will close in late July. Two Kmart stores will close in mid-September.

Martyr Killed By Bulldozer Becomes Symbol of Growing Persecution of Christians in China
A Christian woman's fateful and defiant stance in front of a bulldozer last week evoked the memory of Tiananmen Square and has become a rallying cry against persecution at the hands of the Beijing government.
The woman, identified by Christian activists as Ding Cuimei, wife of the Rev. Li Jiangong, was trying to stop the government-ordered demolition of Beitou Church in the central Hena province city of Zhumadian. Unlike the iconic man who brazenly stopped a tank in the 1989 uprising, Ding was pushed into a ditch and buried alive as horrified congregants watched helplessly.
“Bury them alive for me,” a member of the demolition team said according to a report by China Aid, a nonprofit focused on human rights and religious freedom in the world’s most populous country. “I will be responsible for their lives.”

Ivanka Reveals STUNNING Thing Donald Trump Does Behind Closed Doors
It’s no secret that the media hates Donald Trump and are willing to do anything in their power to discredit him. That’s why they’ve painted him as a sort of hybrid of Benito Mussolini and Ebeneezer Scrooge, all without evidence.
However, those who know him best know a different Donald Trump, one of amazing generosity and empathy. One of those people is his daughter Ivanka Trump, and on yesterday’s “Today” show, she talked about the kind of man her father is when the cameras aren’t on.
“I think he has tremendous empathy, and that’s a side people don’t see,” Ivanka said when asked about her father’s private side.

A compassionate judge sentences a veteran to 24 hours in jail, then joins him behind bars
The judge knew that Sgt. Joseph Serna had been through a lot.
The former Special Forces soldier did four combat tours in Afghanistan over a nearly two-decades-long career with the U.S. Army. Through those years, the Fayetteville Observer reported, Serna was almost killed three times: once, by a roadside bomb, then again by a suicide bomber.
During a tour in 2008, Serna and three other soldiers were driving down a narrow dirt road in Kandahar when their armored truck toppled into a canal, the Associated Press reported. As water filled the vehicle, Serna struggled to escape.
It was his fellow soldier, Sgt. James Treber, who saved him.
“I felt a hand come down and unfasten my seat belt and release my body armor,” Serna recalled to the AP. “Sgt. Treber picked me up and moved me to a small pocket of air. He knew there was not enough room for both of us to breathe so he went under water to find another pocket of air.”
Treber died from the accident, but Serna survived. He was the only one who did.

WATCHDOG GROUP Sues GOP and Reince Priebus for Allowing Cruz Campaign to Steal Florida Delegates
The founder of Freedom Watch filed a lawsuit against the Republican Party and Reince Priebus accusing the GOP of conspiring to defraud primary voters.
The Hill reported:
The lawsuit, filed by conservative activist Larry Klayman, also targets the Republican Party of Florida and Florida secretary of State Ken Detzner, alleging that party leaders have colluded to deprive Donald Trump of his victory in the Sunshine State.
The lawsuit claims that national party leaders and Republican officials in Florida led voters to believe that the state’s 99 delegates would be bound to the winner for every ballot at a potential contested convention.
“Defendants, each and every one of them, Fraudulently held out to Florida voters, and the public at large, that their votes cast at the Florida Republican Presidential Primary would be counted and not nullified in nominating a presidential candidate,” the lawsuit reads.
“In fact, Defendants are conspiring to make delegates free to disregard the popular vote and support whichever candidate they desire after the first ballot of the Republican National Convention.”

Governor Larry Hogan Announces Plans to Complete $136.8 Million Widening of US 113
Safety Project Delivers Worcester County’s #1 Transportation Priority
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Larry Hogan today announced plans for the final two phases that will complete the US 113 widening to a four-lane divided highway for the entire 38-mile stretch in Maryland from Pocomoke City to Delaware. The $136.8 million investment in US 113 projects will address the county’s top transportation priority, improve safety, and reduce traffic congestion for local and seasonal drivers.
“This roadway has a long history of neglect and deteriorating safety conditions,” said Governor Hogan. “Completion of this project will make improvements that are critical to reduce traffic and help ensure the safety of people headed to work and the thousands of tourists and vacationers who visit this area every year.”
Widening US 113 from a two-lane undivided highway to a four-lane divided highway along this major north-south route in Worcester County is being constructed in phases. The 4.6-mile, $50.4 million Phase Three project that widens the roadway from Massey Branch to Five Mile Branch Road is under construction now and is about 25 percent complete. The $86.4 million Phase Four project to complete improvements for 4.3 miles from north of MD 365 to Five Mile Lane will be advertised next month and go to construction in spring 2017.
Today, 13,100 drivers travel US 113 daily during the summer. By 2035, that number will increase to 27,350 in the summer. Once the final phases of widening are completed by spring 2019, these drivers will enjoy a safer, more efficient ride throughout the entire corridor.
The funding for the $86.4 million project to build the final US 113 phase is part the $1.97 billion investment in highway and bridge improvements Governor Hogan announced last June. Today’s announcement demonstrates the governor’s commitment to safety and infrastructure improvements in every jurisdiction in the state and is just part of $173.3 million in transportation investments in Worcester County over six years, including: $169 million for highways; $3.7 million for Shore Transit; $149,275 in grants for highway safety and other programs; and $371,600 in aviation grants for Ocean City Municipal Airport.

Subject: China Eyes Adding Floating Nuclear Plant To Controversial Island Base
The construction of China's first maritime nuclear power platform in the South China Sea is due to be completed by 2018 and be put into operation by 2019, the Chinese newspaper Global Times reported.
The newspaper quoted analysts as saying that such a platform could boost the efficiency of China's ongoing construction work on Spratley Islands in the South China Sea considerably.
In a recent interview with the Global Times, Liu Zhengguo, head of the general office of the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) which is responsible for designing and assembling the platforms, said that the CSIS is "pushing forward with the work."
"The development of nuclear power platforms is a burgeoning trend. The exact number of plants to be built [by the CSIC] depends on market demand. Judging by various factors … the demand is pretty strong," he said without elaborating.
Earlier this month, it was reported that China plans to construct at least 20 maritime nuclear power platforms "in the future."

B-52 Bombers Carry Out First Airstrikes Against ISIS in Iraq
The U.S. Air Force's B-52 Stratofortresses on their first combat deployment to the Mideast since the 1991 Gulf war have conducted their initial airstrikes against ISIS, military officials said Wednesday.
"On Monday, this iconic platform conducted its first mission against an [ISIS] weapons storage facility in Qayyarah" in northwestern Iraq south of Mosul, said Army Col. Steve Warren, a spokesman in Baghdad for Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve.
Earlier this month, the B-52s, flying out of the al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, replaced B-1 Lancer bombers in the Air Force inventory for precision-guided bomb attacks against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria and for close-air support missions for local forces. The B-1s returned to the U.S. for maintenance and upgrades.

Trump Sign on Roof Near BWI Airport
Airline passengers flying into Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) can look down and see a new, bold, controversial political sign in the days leading up to Maryland Republican primary. A giant orange “TRUMP” sign is on the roof of a house directly under the approach for BWI.
Donald Trump has a double digit lead in the Republican primary in Maryland, but the blue state is making many of his supporters hide their vote. But one retired police detective decided to fight back– in a “yuge” way — after his 12-year old daughter was bullied at school for backing the billionaire developer.

Public Support For Transgender Bathrooms Twirls Down the Drain
Public support for the progressives’ goal of mandatory mixed-sex rest rooms is down by 20 points since mid-April as more Americans face the once-ludicrous prospect of being forced to share facilities with people of the opposite sex, according to a new Reuters poll.
The poll showed that support for mixed-sex bathrooms dropped 8 points from 46 percent on April 13 to 38 percent on April 19.
Support for normal, single-sex, bathrooms shot up by one-third, or 12 points, from 35 percent up to 47 percent by April 19, according to the survey.
This 20-point public rebuke of the progressive agenda is occurring despite massive media cheerleading for progressives’ transgender priorities, including greater social status for a male athlete, Bruce Jenner, who now wishes to live as a woman named Caitlyn. The bigger goal of the bathroom push, however, would be to force American adults and youths to agree to share their public bathrooms and changing rooms with the small number of people who try to live and look like people of the opposite sex.
It’s likely that few Americans even notice the country’s few transsexuals as they use public bathrooms. That live-and-let-live compromise allows decent treatment of a pitied minority, while also keeping the legal tools to forcibly exclude transgenders in sensitive situations, such as the presence of children.
Since the Reuters poll was completed, hostile progressives have increased their effort to destroy the current live-and-let-live compromise.
For example, on April 19, a federal court said schools were required to have only mixed-sex bathrooms in Virginia, and could not have single-sex bathrooms. The decision would make it impossible for schools to have bathrooms just for boys or just for girls, and it would also be impossible for schools to comply with federal privacy laws, said a statement from the judge who opposed the decision.

Subject: Migrants Versus the MAFIA: Cosa Nostra 'Declares War' on Refugees
Mafia bosses have 'declared war' against migrants on the holiday paradise of Sicily as one thousand new arrivals pour on to the island every week. The feared Cosa Nostra are desperate to maintain supremacy after African crime gangs arrived with the migrants - and they are engaged in a deadly turf war.
An innocent Gambian man was shot through the head by an assassin in broad daylight sparking fears of a wider bloodbath.
Mayor Leoluca Orlando told MailOnline: 'Palermo is no longer an Italian town. It is no longer European. You can walk in the city and feel like you’re in Istanbul or Beirut.'
Immigration to Italy soared by 90 per cent in the first three months of the year. The migrant population in Ballaró, the part of Palermo where the shooting took place, has risen from approximately five to 25 per cent since the migrant crisis began. There is widespread concern in Italy that the number of new migrants exceeds the country’s capacity to cope - and the Mafia is its biggest and most dangerous critic. The mayor of Palermo, Leoluca Orlando said: "In the past, when the Mafia was more powerful, it prevented any immigrants from entering the city. Until I was 30 years old, I never saw an African or Asian in Palermo.
"The Mafia has not understood that the city has changed. We are now a city of immigrants, and the Mafia bosses no longer sit in the mayor’s chair. Palermo is a Middle Eastern town in Europe. It is a mosaic city and we are happy about that."
The deadly Mafia-migrant war began after African criminal gangs apparently entered the country alongside law-abiding migrants, and started to operate ‘on the Mafia’s doorstep’.

WILL THE ARCHITECTS OF 9/11 BE PUNISHED?

Reporter to Obama: Is It Any of Your Business?
During a joint press conference in London with President Barack Obama and U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron on Friday, a reporter with the BBC asked President Obama if it was any of his business to say whether or not the U.K. should remain in the European Union.
The UK will be holding a referendum in June as to whether they should leave the E.U. The U.K. still retains its own currency, but is still subject to many other laws and has representatives in the European Parliament.
President Obama is a supporter of the U.K. remaining in the E.U., as is Cameron, and has drawn controversy from people in the U.K. and the U.S. for weighing in.
“Thank you, Mr. President. You’ve made your views very plain on the fact that British voters should choose to stay in the E.U. But in the interest of good friends always being honest, are you also saying that our decades-old special relationship, that’s been through so much, would be fundamentally damaged and changed by our exit? If so, how? And are you also, do you have any sympathy with people who think this is none of your business?” the reporter asked.

Clinton IT Staffer Still Refuses to Testify Before Congress
A lawyer for Bryan Pagliano, the former State Department computer staffer who set up Hillary Clinton’s private email server, recently informed Congress that he will not testify before Senate committees investigating Clinton’s email setup.
The Associated Press obtained a letter sent by Mark MacDougall, Pagliano’s lawyer, on March 11 indicating that his client would “respectfully decline” the offers from the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Homeland Security Committee to testify before congressional lawmakers.
Pagliano declined to testify before the committees even after he was granted immunity by the Justice Department and has been cooperating with the FBI in its investigation into Clinton’s email setup.
The former State Department IT staffer asserted his Fifth Amendment right in September in response to a subpoena from the House Select Committee on Benghazi to testify before congressional lawmakers. The Senate Judiciary and Homeland Security Committees had also reached out to Pagliano then to testify.

Is Donald Trump A Modern Day George Wallace?
Donald Trump's enduring appeal in the Republican presidential contest has the GOP in a quandary, as it's forced to contend with voters fed up with party politics.
Some 50 years ago, another vociferous candidate put the scare in traditional power brokers. George Wallace fired up crowds with a similar anti-establishment message, and drew protests as passionate as are being seen at Trump's rallies today. Wallace also became a face of racial tension in America as the leading symbol for segregation in the 1960s.
When Wallace entered presidential politics in 1964, the then-Alabama governor was famous for declaring, "Segregation now. Segregation tomorrow. And segregation forever."
Wallace allies and family see parallels today in Trump.
"It's just a replay," Charlie Snider, one of Wallace's most trusted political aides, told NPR. "We're looking at a modern-day George Wallace."
Snider is a Trump supporter. Wallace's daughter, a Democrat, hears it, too, but in a different way.
"Trump and my father say out loud what people are thinking but don't have the courage to say," Peggy Wallace Kennedy told NPR. Wallace Kennedy was 18 when she was on the campaign trail with her father in 1968. She believes Trump is exploiting voters' worst instincts, the way her late father once did.
"They both were able to adopt the notion that fear and hate are the two greatest motivators of voters that feel alienated from government," she said.

#BoycottTarget Signatures Continue to Pour In!
In only a day, 200,000 concerned citizens have signed AFA's #BoycottTarget pledge after the retail giant publicized its policy to allow transgender individuals access to store bathrooms and fitting rooms of the opposite-sex.
Corporate America must stop bullying people who disagree with the radical left agenda to remake society into their progressive image. #BoycottTarget has resonated with Americans. Target’s harmful policy poses a danger to women and children. Predators and voyeurs would take advantage of the policy to prey on those who are vulnerable. It’s clear now that many customers agree. Target shoppers are leaving their allegiance to the store behind—and by the thousands every hour. No store can withstand that sort of loss.
Target had announced this week, “[W]e welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity. … Everyone deserves to feel like they belong,” further stating that the policy was not new but a more overt “restatement” of an existing corporate policy.

Barack Obama Sucks Up To Saudis … Gets Snubbed
LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD” DISSED IN RIYADH
We wrote yesterday how U.S. president Barack Obama was kowtowing to Saudi Arabia – our “partners in peace” – in an effort to kill legislation that could help hold the country responsible for its role in the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Naturally the Saudis welcomed Obama to Riyadh with open arms, right?
Um … not so much.
From CNN …
When Obama touched down in Riyadh shortly after 1 p.m. local time, there were no kisses with the kingdom’s ruler as President George W. Bush once exchanged. The Saudi government dispatched the governor of Riyadh rather than a senior-level royal to shake Obama’s hand, a departure from the scene at the airport earlier in the day when King Salman was shown on state television greeting the leaders of other Gulf nations on the tarmac.
Social media users quickly termed the reception, which was not carried live on state TV, a snub and a sign that a relationship long lubricated by barrels of oil is now facing deep questions on both sides.

WHY IS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT INSTALLING MYSTERIOUS BOXES ON UTILITY POLES?
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives has claimed ownership of a mysterious box that was removed from a utility pole in Phoenix, Arizona.
Phoenix resident Brian Clegg was concerned about a box he witnessed being installed on a power pole. Clegg said the box was facing his house and he believed it may have had cameras inside. The pole was owned by Arizona’s largest power provider, SRP, who claimed no one had permission to put the box on their pole. Brian Clegg says shortly afterwards SRP sent a crew to remove the box.
Shortly after ABC15 investigated the matter, the bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives(ATF), a branch of the U.S. Department of Justice, acknowledged installing the box as part of an ongoing investigation. Officials with the ATF would not provide details about their alleged investigation and would not confirm if they were conducting surveillance in the area.
“I don’t feel safer,” said Brian Clegg. “I feel that my privacy has been violated.”
SRP told ABC15 they were unaware the box had been installed and that the ATF has to notify them if they are going install something on their property. The ATF told ABC15 they can put security measures in place without asking for permission. Obviously the federal government feels comfortable doing whatever it wants to do, whenever it wants to, law be damned.

America Is Now Subsidizing Iran’s Nuclear Program
LET THAT SINK IN …
Let’s go ahead and file this under “Stuff a Lame Duck President Announces Late on a Friday.” In fact that was our alternate headline for this story …
Anyway, U.S. president Barack Obama‘s Department of Energy (DOE) is confirming its intention to purchase $8.6 million worth of heavy water from Iran. It will store this material – all 32 metric tons of it – at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee prior to attempting to resell it on the commercial market.
Heavy water is used in nuclear reactors – which Iran is permitted to continue operating per the terms of last year’s deal with the Obama administration.
“The United States will not be Iran’s customer forever,” the agency said in a statement. “It is exclusively Iran’s responsibility to find a way to meet its commitments, whether that is by selling, diluting or disposing of future stocks of heavy water to remain within the (deal’s) limit.”

LEGENDARY COMMENTS BY GEORGE CHEVALLIER 4-23-16
THE LUMBER CAMPS – part 1
One story my grandfather told me many times was about the night he was walking the rails between camps. Walking was his only mode of transportation for short distances and, apparently, served him well. That is, until the night a train approached just as he was crossing a trestle bridge. He knew that he couldn’t make it to either side faster than the train so he slipped over the side and wrapped his arms around one of the railroad ties. After the train passed he tried to scramble back up to the tracks, but couldn’t lift himself up. As it was pitch black, he didn’t have any idea what was underneath him, nor how far down it was. It could have been a long fall to solid ground which would have injured or killed him. It could have been to deep water which posed another problem for him since he couldn’t swim. Concern turned to fatigue and he decided this was the end. He could hang on no longer. He could never recollect just how long he hung there but it was long enough for him to decide that this might just be the end. I could only imagine the thoughts going through my grandfather’s mind at this time. The desperation and sense of life’s final moments must have been terrifying. So, finally, he let go and dropped six inches to solid ground. He was always amused to tell that story on himself, knowing that whoever heard it would like.
Yoko Ono: “I Had an Affair with Hillary Clinton in the ’70s”
Los Angeles | Yoko Ono shocked reporters yesterday when she responded to a question concerning the presidential run of Hillary Clinton and the possibility that she could become the first woman President of the United States in American history.
The artist and widow of John Lennon, who is in Los Angeles to present a collection of cups and saucers she is exhibiting at the Museum of Modern Art, totally took reporters by surprise by admitting she had not only met the former First Lady at various times during a series of protests against the Vietnam War in New York in the 1970s but also knew her “intimately”.
The celebrity admitted laughingly to having “a fling” with her at the time and acknowledged her election “would be a great advancement for LGBT and Women rights in America” she added.

Salisbury University Press Release: SU's Ratti Wins Fulbright Award
SALISBURY, MD --- When U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright proposed what would become the Fulbright international exchange program in 1945, he did so to advance the “promotion of international good will.”
Adding to the list of Fulbright Scholars bringing national and international distinction to Salisbury University, Dr. Manav Ratti, associate professor of English, has been awarded a grant through Fulbright Canada — with the good will envisioned by the senator unfolding in Salisbury itself.
The Fulbright Canada-RBC Eco-Leadership Program provides small grants for current grantees and alumni of the Fulbright Canada program to partner with local organizations in order to make a significant positive environmental impact in their community. During the 2015-16 competition cycle, there were a total of 12 awards made to scholars based across the U.S. and Canada.
Ratti, a Canadian citizen, received the award to start a sustainable community garden in Salisbury’s Newtown Historic District, about two miles from the University. Collaborating with the Office of the Mayor, GreenSBY and area churches, he plans to break ground this spring, with the first harvest expected in the summer.
“The award reaches many goals,” said Ratti, noting that the economic, empowerment and educational benefits the project will offer, along with the exchange of ideas it represents, aligns with many of the Fulbright program’s goals.
