"We Are Dissolving Into A World Of Planless Incoherence"

We in the center that cannot hold can only watch as things fall apart.

In so many ways, the falcon can no longer hear the falconer. The phrase is drawn from William Butler Yeats' poem, The Second Coming:

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

The falcon can no longer hear the falconer describes our disintegrating era well.

The politicos can no longer hear the people they supposedly serve.

Concentrated wealth no longer heeds any falconer; it is free to exploit its power in the market and the halls of government.

Unconstrained by an inner falconer of integrity, many seek to game the system to maximize their private gain by any means available.

Market manipulators, equally unconstrained, ceaselessly rig markets for their private gain and the benefit of their cronies.

The circular gyres have been widening for years, and the commands of the public, of common sense, of personal integrity and of a transparent, open market grow fainter and fainter.

The notion that the falconer should be heeded has been lost. There are no limits on greed, power, exploitation, fraud, misrepresentation, manipulation of markets or the issuance of lies to further a con, pass legislation or boost the value of a security.

Obama's lack of leadership in Ferguson

The nation has the right to expect a president to act presidential

When a fire breaks out, the brave come running. Those of lesser courage gather only to watch. Still others revel in the spectacle of destruction, as if cheering on the flames with chants of “burn, baby, burn.”

President Obama is among those of lesser courage since convulsion over racial tragedy first racked Ferguson, Missouri, last August. He can’t decide whether he’s with the demonstrators or with the people of Ferguson. He clearly has not been with the peacemakers.

Ferguson, a township on the outskirts of St. Louis, is waiting with dread the decision of a grand jury called to review the evidence in the shooting death of Michael Brown, 18, by Police Officer Darren Wilson. Was it a crime, and if so, by whom? The grand jury has been sifting through the evidence to determine who was at fault. The FBI says the violent protests that erupted (or were encouraged) after the shooting “will likely” erupt again if the white officer is not charged with a crime. The instigators are even now organizing the “spontaneous” demonstration.

Stupidity Reconsidered: Election Proved Americans Aren't Fooled by Gruber and Obama

Jonathan Gruber set off a firestorm of controversy, at least in the conservative media, with the recent revelation of his comments about the "stupidity of the American people," which allowed the Affordable Care Act to be passed. In essence, he admitted that the bill was written in a way that would allow its purveyors to characterize it as the cure-all and salvation for a health care system that was in trouble, with no danger of their deception being discovered by a populace that is trusting and naive. He obviously never intended for his comments to make it into the public sphere and did not consider the fact that someone is always recording on their smartphone.

What is truly disturbing is the fact that our government is willing to engage in the purposeful deception of the populace in order to thrust its secretive agenda onto an unsuspecting populace and a sycophantic mainstream media. As I have said many times before, Obamacare was never about health care; it was about government control and wealth redistribution. If there was real concern about the uninsured, it would have been much cheaper and considerably less complex to simply give all of the uninsured Cadillac health plans for life. I am a firm believer that health care reform was and is needed, and I have been advocating for it for several years. It needs to be done correctly, though, and in a way that does not create different levels of access and treatment.

There is no question that the American people are distracted by sports and entertainment and that we confer godlike status on actors and some athletes. There is also no question that we could do more to enhance our knowledge about important issues. However, to assume that the American people are stupid and uncaring and to design programs and speeches around that assumption is arrogant, disrespectful and, frankly, very shortsighted. As has famously been said, "You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."

Patriots Headed to White House; Arrest Obama NOW! Pete Santilli Interviews US Marine Manny Vega

The New Federation

In previous commentaries, readers have seen scoffs of derision with respect to (arguably) the two, most-important propaganda myths of the 21st century: the New Normal, and the New World Order. The gist of that criticism is that we rarely see anything truly “new” in our lives, in conceptual terms.

The declaration (through propaganda and/or disinformation) that we have two all-encompassing, new paradigms which supposedly comprise our current reality is patently ludicrous, on its surface. Context changes. Principles are immutable.

The “New Normal” is nothing but a lie of the Corporate media designed to (supposedly) justify the fact that the lives of the masses are getting steadily worse every day, while the lives of the Privileged get steadily better every day. The “New World Order” is nothing but a disinformation lie, spread through the Alternative Media, to cover-up the fact that our societies are currently ruled/dominated by an Old World Order – the same Old World Order which has been pulling the strings of our government for over a century.

Proof of this assertion comes in the form of a book. The Economic Pinch was written by Charles Lindbergh Sr. in 1924. Not to be confused with the famed aviator (who was his son); Lindbergh Sr. was a Republican Congressman, an unknown hero of his era. As noted in a previous piece; he is purported to have presented The Bankers’ Manifesto of 1892 to the U.S. Congress, some time between 1907 and 1917.

Lindbergh himself identifies the Old World Order which already ruled our societies in his era:

Shortly after the [American] Civil War a group of men formed a selfish plan to rule the world by the manipulation of finances.

Bill Clinton Is an Alleged Rapist, Too. Why Aren’t You Outraged

Let me be the first to admit that, unlike so many people in the media and on the internet, I actually don’t know if Bill Cosby is a rapist. I know several women have accused him of it, and I know that he isn’t doing any favors for himself by refusing to comment and asking news outlets to scrub footage of him refusing to comment. You’d think if the man is guilty but has no intention of fessing up, he’d at least deny the allegations. And if he’s innocent, he’d be even more likely to deny them. Either way, I can’t understand answering with ‘no comment’ when someone asks a rather direct and unambiguous question like ‘are you a rapist?’

So maybe this means he’s panicking because he’s guilty. Or maybe he’s panicking because he’s innocent. Or maybe he’s an 80-year-old man who doesn’t quite understand what’s going on.

Maybe it’s a combination of some of those explanations. I don’t know. I just don’t. But I do know that the whole thing is quite… strange. Strange because these allegations have been known for some time, but nobody cared until a comedian named Hannibal Buress, who frequently jokes about raping women, called out Bill Cosby for allegedly raping women. Suddenly, because of a guy I’ve never heard of, accusations everyone heard of ten years ago become national news.

Did it have to be this way? Race relations worse since Obama became president

After New York Police Commissioner Bill Bratton chose a  black man to replace another  black man as his deputy, a reporter asked New York Mayor Bill de Blasio if the replacement “had to be a person of color.”

“No,” the mayor claimed.

That’s not a little white lie. This is a case where whites need not apply.

Across the land, racially charged disputes are grabbing headlines. Broad swaths of life, including school admissions, crime statistics, income and poverty levels, hiring and firing, are seen increasingly through the prism of skin color and ethnicity.

Race riots, that urban staple of the ’60s and ’70s, are making a comeback. They rattled the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, Missouri, after a white police officer shot a black teenager. More violence is expected if, as seems likely, the officer is not indicted.

Photographer Looks Ebola In The Eye

Her eyes met the camera. She was there. And yet she wasn't there.

That's how NPR photographer David Gilkey remembers the moment last Saturday when he took a picture of Baby Sesay, a 45-year-old traditional healer in the village of Royail in Sierra Leone.

Sesay had tried to cure a sick little boy. The boy died, likely of Ebola. Then Sesay herself fell ill. She had come to a community care center a few hours earlier, walking in under her own power, to be tested for the virus.

The man who runs the center called her out to talk with Gilkey and NPR correspondent Nurith Aizenman. Standing behind two rows of fencing, Sesay moved slowly but otherwise seemed OK. Gilkey was standing about 15 feet away.

Two days later, Gilkey learned that Baby Sesay had died.

What were you feeling when you took that photograph?

William Tecumseh Sherman: He's Back!

There’s a great story up on the website of author J. Mark Powell (a.k.a. the spokesman for S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson) exploring the controversy raging over a new historical marker erected in Atlanta, Georgia.

The controversial new marker pays homage to U.S. army general William Tecumseh Sherman and specifically his “March to the Sea” – six brutal weeks in late 1864 during which more than 60,000 U.S. troops laid waste to broad swaths of Georgia. From November 15 to December 21, 1864, Sherman’s army cut a path of destruction from Atlanta to Savannah – three hundred miles of scorched earth that stretched sixty miles wide.

By this time the War Between the States was effectively over, with Sherman’s march intended to humble the rebellious Southern states as opposed to achieving any military objective against an enemy force.

And humble them he did – doing an estimated $1.5 billion worth of damage (in today’s dollars), most of it to civilian property.

“War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen, and I say let us give them all they want,” Sherman famously said of his scorched earth tactics.

“We are not only fighting armies, but a hostile people, and must make old and young, rich and poor, feel the hard hand of war, as well as their organized armies,” Sherman added in a letter to fellow U.S. general Henry W. Halleck at the conclusion of his march. “I know that this recent movement of mine through Georgia has had a wonderful effect in this respect. Thousands who had been deceived by their lying papers into the belief that we were being whipped all the time, realized the truth, and have no appetite for a repetition of the same experience.”

Anyway, here’s the new marker’s opening line …

On November 15, 1864, during the Civil War, U.S. forces under William T. Sherman set out from Atlanta on the March to the Sea, a military campaign designed to destroy the Confederacy’s ability to wage war and break the will of its people to resist.

How Running For Governor Is Like Selling A Vacuum

Zephyr Teachout ran against New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary earlier this year, on a populist platform. While she lost, she received more than a third of the vote and carried almost half of the state’s 62 counties.

While Teachout is well known for her efforts to limit the influence of money on politics, she still needed to raise money to fund her campaign. In this clip, she tells Bill that she felt like a “vacuum cleaner salesman” as she spent hours smiling and dialing in an effort to raise funds.

“If you have to spend half your day, 70 percent of your day, talking to donors and then turn around and give a speech engaging people on the issues that matter to them — their dental care, credit cards, the real difficulty finding a job — it feels false,” says Teachout, a constitutional and property law professor at Fordham Law School. “It’s hard to have those two conversations at the same time and gradually I think people have gotten more and more disillusioned because they feel like they aren’t being served.”

Japan Is Dying And We Still Don't Get It?!

What is it with us? Don’t we WANT to understand? Japan announced on Monday that its economy is in hopeless trouble and back in recession (as if it was ever out). And what do we see? ‘Experts’ and reporters clamoring for more stimulus. But if Japan has shown us anything over the past years, and you’re free to pick any number between 2 and 20 years, it’s that the QE-based kind of stimulus doesn’t work. Not for the real economy, that is.

The land of the setting sun has during that time thrown so much stimulus into its financial system that Krugman-esque calls for even more of the same look even more ludicrous today than they did all along. Abenomics is a depressing failure, just as we knew it would be since it started almost two years ago. It’s not complicated, and it never was.

Japan’s stimulus has achieved the following: banks get to pretend they’re healthy and stocks rise to heights that are fundamentally disconnected from underlying real values. On the flipside of that, citizens are being increasingly squeezed and ‘decide’ not to spend (not much of a decision if you have nothing to spend). Since Japan’s ‘consumer’ spending makes up about 60% of GDP, things can only possibly get worse as time passes. If ‘consumers’ don’t spend, deflation is the inevitable result – and that has nothing to do with the much discussed sales tax, it’s been going on for decades -.

Therefore, the sole thing QE stimulus has achieved is a wealth transfer from poorer to rich. And that’s not only the case in Japan. Mario Draghi yesterday hinted – again – at all the stuff he could start buying next year, including sovereign bonds, even though that would violate EU law. And whether or not Germany will let him in the end, the fact that he keeps the option alive even if only in theory, tells us plenty about the mindset at the ECB.

That is, it’s the same as in Japan. And doing the same can only lead to the same results. A poorer population, a richer toplayer and an economy that continues to shrink, which will and must lead to the same deflationary trend. The idea that an economy can be rescued by pushing public funds into its finance system and stock markets has been forever thrown out by Japan’s experiences.

Wells Fargo Refusing To Honor Widow’s 30-Year-Old CD

In 1984, an Arizona man invested more than $18,000 in a Certificate of Deposit at First Interstate Bank, and then placed that CD away in his family’s personal records where it sat for 25 years. Then in 2009, after he passed away, his widow discovered the CD and attempted to cash it out, only to be denied by First Interstate’s new owner, Wells Fargo.

The widow tells KPHO-TV in Phoenix that she and her late husband frequently placed their money in CDs when they owned a towing company.

“Going back in the ’80s, that was the way you made your money,” she explains.

But when she tried to get the money that she believes is rightfully hers, she the bank “practically almost laughed at me.”

Poll Results: Most Americans Don’t Shop On Thanksgiving Or Black Friday

Whether stores plan to open to shoppers on Thanksgiving Day or not, there would be no American Shopping Frenzy Long Weekend at all if people weren’t going to head out there and shop. Yet who are the people who have clamored to go out and shop on Thanksgiving Day? How many Americans are really going to hit the stores at the end of next week? The results of two polls can give us some insight.

Last year, Consumerist asked our statistics-crunching colleagues down the hall at the Consumer Reports National Research Center to include some questions about Thanksgiving shopping behaviors in their annual nationally representative holiday poll. We were curious about what Americans’ real habits were. Obviously, someone shopped on Thanksgiving Day, because the practice is expanding.

House Democrats re-elect Pelosi as minority leader

Democrats re-elected Rep. Nancy Pelosi to another two-year term as House minority leader on Tuesday, two weeks after elections in which the party lost at least a dozen seats in the chamber.

In a closed-door meeting of House Democrats, Pelosi was re-elected by voice vote in a race in which she faced no challenger. The California Democrat has been party leader in the chamber since 2003, including four years in which she was the first female House speaker.

No. 2 House Democrat Steny Hoyer of Maryland and the party's other top leaders also were re-elected without a challenge.

"What we want are initiatives that help the American people, that reduce the anxiety because it reduces the income disparity," Pelosi told reporters after her election.

But touching on the need that Democrats see to improve their message to voters, she said that while it's important to address people's needs, "It's another thing, also, to make sure the public understands what is going on."

Walmart Closes Now-Infamous Online Price-Matching Loophole

It was fabulous news for bargain-hunters when Walmart announced a change to its price-matching policy, allowing shoppers to bring in listings from popular online retailers as long as the items are identical. When some shoppers formulated an evil-genius plan to use fake third-party seller Amazon listings to buy PlayStation 4s for less than 25% of the sticker price, the wording of the original policy technically allowed this to happen. Walmart has responded by changing their policy.

Walmart Stores Once Again Asking Employees To Donate Food To Co-Workers In Need

Almost exactly a year ago, a Walmart in Ohio made headlines for an employee food drive intended to help support their fellow Walmart workers. Now come reports of additional stores rolling out the donation bins, showing that the retailers employees try to take care of one another while also spotlighting the question of whether or not Walmart is paying its associates sufficient wages.

The latest bin, seen above, was posted to the Facebook page of Making Change at Walmart, a union-supported group seeking higher wages for workers at the nation’s largest retailer.

According to the group, this box was placed in an Oklahoma Walmart. Assuming the “3430″ written on the box is the store’s number, then it appears to be for a Walmart Supercenter in Oklahoma City.

On the one hand, it’s always good to see workers looking out for their colleagues, especially during the holiday months that can be particularly tough on those without sufficient resources.

At the same time, Walmart critics will point to the food drive as evidence that the store isn’t paying its own staff enough to afford the basics for a holiday meal.

NBC silent on Sharpton’s tax problems

TV host reportedly owes government more than $4.5 million

How do the executives at NBC feel about willfully paying and providing a TV platform to a man who reportedly owes the government more than $4.5 million in back taxes?

They’re not saying. When the Washington Examiner asked an NBC spokeswoman for comment on a recent report that Rev. Al Sharpton owes $4.5 million in state and federal tax liens against him, the response was “no comment.”

The report, published Tuesday by the New York Times, stopped just short of calling Sharpton a tax cheat.

Troopers Investigate Fatal Head-On Motor Vehicle Crash

Millsboro - The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a motor vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a 29 year old man which occurred last night north of Millsboro.

The initial investigation has determined that the crash occurred at approximately 8:10 p.m. last night, Thursday, November 20, 2014, as Delmar Chilel-Chun, 29, of Georgetown, DE, was operating a 1996 Honda Odyssey and was traveling in a westbound direction on Hardscrabble Road (SR 20) approximately .1 mile east of Country Living Road (CR 433), one mile north of Millsboro. For an unknown reason, Chilel-Chun's vehicle crossed the center line of the roadway and entered the eastbound lane where its front struck the front of a 2006 Lexus GX470, which was being operated by Dellamarie H. Keyes, 54, of Lewes, DE.

Delmar Chilel-Chun, who was properly restrained at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. Dellamarie Keyes, who was also properly restrained at the time of the crash, was removed from the scene by Emergency Medical Services and transported to Beebe Healthcare where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation of this crash by the Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is on-going; however, charges are not expected. Alcohol use is being considered as a factor in this crash.

Hardscrabble Road was closed for approximately 3 hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.

Guess Who Really, Really Likes Obamacare?

Many Liberals love Obamacare, as long as they aren’t the ones paying for it. Obama and Congressional Democrats (at least the ones in safe Districts who haven’t lost their seats) love it, because they, for the most part, aren’t using it themselves. Know who else really likes it? Big Insurance

(Daily Caller) Critics charge Obamacare’s individual mandate is boosting the profits of insurance companies, securing their loyalty to Democratic politicians.

Washington Post blogger Jennifer Rubin argued Tuesday that “the individual mandate is the greatest single act of corporate welfare in memory,” creating new customers for the insurance companies by fiat and subsidizing that coverage with tax dollars.

Rubin pointed out that during the debate over Obamacare, “Many conservatives bitterly criticized the influence of Big Insurance, correctly labeling it a prime example of corporate cronyism.” Now, she says, “it is both good politics and good policy to end this incestuous relationship.”

According to The New York Times, “the relationship between the Obama administration and insurers,” while initially contentious, “has evolved into a powerful, mutually beneficial partnership that has been a boon to the nation’s largest private health plans and led to a profitable surge in their Medicaid enrollment.”

Of course they love it. They’re making oodles of cash off of it. They’re able to offer expensive plans with high deductibles that people can’t afford to use. People are forced to obtain health insurance as the price of being a U.S. citizen

SWAT team tasers, pepper-sprays homeschoolers

'They slapped Laura, knocking her glasses off of her face'

A Missouri homeschooling family is suing a sheriff and another officer who forcibly entered their home without a warrant, Tasered the father, pepper-sprayed the mother and put their children in the custody of social service workers.

A court already has ruled that the actions of Sheriff Darren White and Capt. David Glidden of Nodaway County, Missouri, violated the U.S. Constitution, resulting in the dismissal of charges of child endangerment and resisting arrest against the couple, Jason and Laura Hagan, of New Hampton.

The lawsuit, which seeks compensatory damages, punitive damages and attorneys costs and fees, was brought on behalf of the couple by the Home School Legal Defense Association, the world’s leading advocate for homeschooling families.

Attorney James Mason, senior counsel for HSLDA, told WND the Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable search and seizure were added to the Constitution for a reason.

“We need to be vigilant,” he said. “We need to be willing to stand up for our rights.”

He said authorities sometimes need to be reminded that “rules apply to them, too.”

Democrats giddy over Obama’s ‘big’ amnesty action

'Hearing 5 million people who are now not going to be deported'

(WASHINGTON EXAMINER)
Congressional Republicans seethed while Democrats were cautiously excited on eve of President Obama’s big announcement about his plans to ease deportation laws for millions of people living here illegally.

“I’m looking for big!” Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill., told the Washington Examiner, when asked what she hoped Obama would say in a prime time address on Thursday.

“What we are hearing is it will be five million people who are now not going to be deported. That’s keeping families together, and that’s huge in my district.”

Presidents Plan Could Shield Four Million

WASHINGTON — Up to four million undocumented immigrants who have lived in the United States for at least five years can apply for a program that protects them from deportation and allows those with no criminal record to work legally in the country, President Obama is to announce on Thursday, according to people briefed on his plans.

An additional one million people will get protection from deportation through other parts of the president’s plan to overhaul the nation’s immigration enforcement system, including the expansion of an existing program for “Dreamers,” young immigrants who came to the United States as children. There will no longer be a limit on the age of the people who qualify.

But farm workers will not receive specific protection from deportation, nor will the Dreamers’ parents. And none of the five million immigrants over all who will be given new legal protections will get government subsidies for health care under the Affordable Care Act.

These new details about the broad reach of Mr. Obama’s planned executive action on immigration emerged as he prepared to speak to the nation in a prime-time address on Thursday night. On Friday, the president is to travel to Las Vegas to rally public support for his plan in a state where Hispanics are a growing and politically powerful constituency.

‘Dare To Believe': A HS Principal Tells Student That Christian Clubs Are Illegal

This is a clear violation of First Amendment rights – no doubt about it. I love how the principal got the school to lie and say that the request was under review. You can bet your boots that high school principal indeed told the young lady that a Christian club is illegal and not allowed. Now, realizing they could be sued and that the bad publicity will hurt the school, they are now rewording their response. Educational weasels unite!

A student at Wantagh High School on Long Island, New York, says that she applied to form a Christian club at her school in September, but the principal denied her request, saying it was illegal.

Liz Loverde said on “The Real Story” today that she wanted to create a club called “Dare To Believe” to better serve the school and community and to reach out to students going through rough times.

After getting her application approved by her guidance counselor, Loverde said she gave it to the principal and was told it couldn’t happen because it was a Christian club and it was illegal to have one.

Hiram Sasser, the Liberty Institute litigation director, said that the principal is simply incorrect, pointing out that this is a well-settled law in the courts.

When schools allow an animal rights club or a recycling club, then they also have to allow a Christian club, Sasser explained.

“They have over 30 clubs and just because mine was faith-based, they wouldn’t recognize it,” Loverde said.

Sasser explained that they’re going to “hold the school’s feet to the fire” and ensure that this club is allowed, whether that is through the court system or not.

100,000 Illegals Expected to Flood US-Mexico Border

The Obama administration is bracing for another surge of illegal immigrants next spring, bringing online a family detention center that will have 2,400 beds.

“We must be prepared for traditional, seasonal increases in illegal migration. The Dilley facility will provide invaluable surge capacity should apprehensions of adults with children once again surge this spring,” said Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Thomas S. Winkowski.

In advance of the president’s new pro-immigrant announcement set for Thursday night, ICE is readying its strategy for next year when over 100,000 illegals are expected to flood over the U.S.-Mexico border.

The agency said in a statement that it hopes illegal immigrants look at what they are doing in building holding facilities like the 2,400 bed center in Dilley, Texas, and will decide the trip isn’t worth it.

Jon Stewart takes on Jon Gruber, calls Democrats 'slimy'

Jon Stewart on Tuesday night railed against Obamacare “architect” Jonathan Gruber and the Democrats trying to distance themselves from him since comments resurfaced in which he insulted American voters.

Mr. Gruber, an MIT economist who was paid almost $400,000 to help shape Obamacare, said during an October 2013 appearance at the University of Pennsylvania that the “lack of transparency” and “stupidity of the American voter” were politically advantageous in getting the law passed.

“Well let me ask a question — who the [expletive] is [Mr. Gruber]?” Mr. Stewart asked on “The Daily Show” after playing the 2013 clip, Talking Points Memo reported.

“Probably a complete peripheral player,” he scoffed.

Mr. Stewart then played a video montage that confirmed Mr. Gruber’s involvement with shaping the law, including President Obama saying in 2006 that he’s “stolen ideas” from Mr. Gruber.

“So the Democratic leadership told us that the individual mandate in the Affordable Care Act was not a tax, even though they knew it was a tax — that’s pretty slimy,” Mr. Stewart said. “I guess all they can do now is go before the American people and say, ‘All right, we misled you.’

Employees Plead: Don't Let Obama's 'Massive Unilateral Amnesty' Go Through

In a message to the American people, the president of the union representing 12,000 United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) adjudicators and personnel is warning about President Obama’s plans for executive amnesty.

According to Palinkas, the solicitation “predicts the Administration’s promised executive amnesty,” which he said the American people should reject.

“This massive unilateral amnesty is slated to be issued after the November 2014 elections. Efforts by members of the Senate to block this action were stopped in their tracks by 52 Senators who, on July 31st, defeated a legislative maneuver to prohibit the President’s actions,” Palinkas said in the statement.

“That is why this statement is intended for the public: if you care about your immigration security and your neighborhood security, you must act now to ensure that Congress stops this unilateral amnesty,” he continued. “Let your voice be heard and spread the word to your neighbors. We who serve in our nation’s immigration agencies are pleading for your help – don’t let this happen. Express your concern to your Senators and Congressmen before it is too late.”

Palinkas, a vocal opponent of amnesty and the Senate-immigration bill, highlighted the government policies that have served to make adjudication officers’ jobs more difficult and Americans less safe. He further revealed plans to waive certain applicant interviews.

“There are plans to waive interviews of applicants who seek adjustment of their status in the U.S. to ready our workforce for the coming onslaught of applications unforeseen in previous administrations,” he said, going on to add that the officers’ roies as “the world’s rubber-stamp for entry into the United States” is putting the American people at risk.

“Whether it’s the failure to uphold the public charge laws, the abuse of our asylum procedures, the admission of Islamist radicals, or visas for health risks, the taxpayers are being fleeced and public safety is being endangered on a daily basis,” he added.

Palinkas explained that the status quo, which he said is already endangering the American public, will get “exponentially worse – and more dangerous” with executive amnesty.

Read Palinkas’ full statement
United States Citizenship and Immigration Service’s loyal and dedicated adjudicators and personnel diligently man the front lines in the battle to protect Americans from terrorism and the abuse of our economic and political resources. As the individuals who screen the millions of applications for entry into the U.S., it is our job to ensure that terrorists, diseases, criminals, public charges, and other undesirable groups are kept out of the United States. Unfortunately, we have been blocked in our efforts to accomplish this mission and denied the professional resources, mission support, and authorities we urgently need by the very same government that employs our skill sets.

Although we had thought that we had made some headway through newly negotiated policies such as the Quality Workplace Initiative, we find that our caseworkers still operate under a quota system that prioritizes speed over quality, and approvals over investigations. Numbers of mandated interviews that had at one time decreased to afford quality decisions are creeping back up in the government’s efforts to process 'customers' without regard to national security. You know… when an experienced animal handler says she is afraid to be alone with some big cats, you should listen. If the owner had, perhaps this young mother would still be alive today. She texted her boss the day before her death saying she feared to be alone with some dangerous cougars. The next day, they found her body in the enclosure with two cougars walking around. For the woman it was a deadly mistake… for the big cats, it was fast food.

From the Daily Mail:

The estate of a young woman who was mauled to death by a cougar while working at a wild-cat sanctuary in suburban Portland is suing the sanctuary and its owners.

The lawsuit against WildCat Haven and owners Michael and Cheryl Tuller alleges the sanctuary is liable for the death of Renee Radziwon-Chapman because she was left alone with the animals despite expressing concerns about working solo.

The 36-year-old animal keeper was found dead inside the animals’ enclosure in November 2013, with two cougars roaming freely near her. She had been working at the sanctuary for eight years. Investigators say it was likely she was cleaning the enclosure when she was attacked and killed.

Her family claim she sent a text message to the zoo’s co-owner expressing her fears about working alone with the animals a day before her death.

The lawsuit was filed last week in Multnomah County District Court.

Radziwon-Chapman’s estate seeks $6 million in damages for wrongful death, ultrahazardous or abnormally dangerous activity, intentional misconduct, employers’ liability law, and violations of the Oregon Safe Employment Act.

After Radziwon-Chapman’s death, her mother Carol Radziwon had told The Associated Press the young woman had expressed concerns about safety measures at the facility.

According to the lawsuit, Radziwon-Chapman had worked alone at the sanctuary the day of her death, as well as the day before. It says the keeper sent a text message to co-owner Cheryl Tuller the day before her death expressing concerns about working solo with the animals.

‘Tuller reassured her that she would not be left alone with the cats, which would be a violation of WildCat Haven’s protocols, both written and oral,’ the lawsuit says.

The sanctuary’s protocol calls for two qualified workers inside an enclosure containing animals.

Pelosi Abused Pregnant, Wounded Vet for Green Energy Cash

Democratic leaders, including Rep. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.), have denied a request from Rep. Tammy Duckworth (Ill.), who lost both of her legs in the Iraq War, to waive the Democratic rule barring proxy votes. Duckworth, 46, is in the last stages of a pregnancy and her doctor won’t allow her to travel back to Washington to vote in person.

“A lot of people felt that Tammy’s patriotism and sacrifice to this country warrants special consideration. And I’m one of those people who think it’s hard to make an argument that it does not require special consideration,” Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) said afterward. “She’s given parts of her body for her country, and if it came to a vote, I would vote to give her a proxy.”

“The fact is that we don’t know what’s going on in the lives of many people,” Pelosi told reporters on Monday. “You’re going to establish a situation where we’re going to determine who has a note from the doctor that’s valid or not. It’s really a place we shouldn’t go.”

O'Malley rushes to propose new pollution rules

Rushing to complete his "green" agenda before he leaves office, Gov. Martin O'Malley moved Friday to impose new regulations on farmers to curb the flow of polluting phosphorus into the Chesapeake Bay.

O'Malley acted on the last day he could start the state's rule-making process and get it done before Gov.-elect Larry Hogan takes office Jan. 21. Hogan opposes the regulations, contending they would hurt farmers.

The proposed rules would limit how much phosphorus-rich fertilizer farmers can apply to their fields. In Maryland, particularly on the Eastern Shore, that means preventing farmers from spreading chicken manure on fields already saturated with the substance.

When rain washes phosphorus out of the fields, it flows into local streams and eventually into the bay. There it acts as a nutrient, promoting blooms of algae that choke off the bay's oxygen supply, resulting in fish-killing "dead zones."

Environmentalists and their supporters in the General Assembly contend that the proposed rules are a long-overdue step needed to protect the bay from further degradation.

"It's taken far too long to address this. If we don't do something about this, we're going to lose the bay," said state Sen. Paul G. Pinsky, the Prince George's County Democrat who co-chairs the legislative committee empowered to review the rules.

See What Happens In Toronto During The Singing Of Our National Anthem

Dumbest Pro-Illegals Op-Ed You’ll Read Positions U.S. As Communist East Germany

This is possibly the dumbest one you’ll read today, particularly from a major media outlet. Apparently, the talking points that made their way from the White House to the compliant lapdog legacy media is that what Obama intends to do with his “amnesty”, er, deferred deportation, is all about humanitarianism for these poor, poor folks who entered our country illegally/overstayed their visa. The Washington Post’s Harold Myerson decides to take it a step further and brings in the Berlin Wall. Yes, the Berlin Wall. No, seriously

The commemorations of the 25th anniversary of the Berlin Wall’s fall have thrust into the public spotlight the border guard who ordered the gates opened. The subject of both a new German-language book and film, one-time Stasi Lt. Col. Harald Jäger has recounted why he defied his orders. And his story couldn’t be more relevant to the debate consuming our own nation.

On the evening of Nov. 9, 1989, prompted by an erroneous announcement from an East German Politburo spokesman that his compatriots would be free to cross the border, thousands of East Berliners flocked to the checkpoint Jäger supervised. His superiors told him to keep the gates closed, though he could let a few people through, provided he marked the passports of those he determined were activists and blocked their reentry when they came back.

When one such young couple returned from the West, going home to their small children, Jäger saw that while the wife could reenter, her husband’s passport had been stamped, forbidding his return. Jäger faced a choice. “My responsibility was clear — enforce the law and split the couple,” he recalled to the Financial Times. “But at that moment it became so clear to me . . . the stupidity, the lack of humanity. I finally said to myself, ‘Kiss my arse. Now I will do what I think is right.’ ” He let the couple in. Then he commanded the guards to throw open the gates. The rest is history — and a lesson to a nation now embroiled in a different, but not that different, contest between the imperatives of custom and law, as some construe it, and those of keeping families together.

Got that? The U.S. is like Stasi run East Germany, and Mr. Obama is Lt. Col. Jäger, the super awesome guy who refused the order to stop the husband from returning to the (restrictive police state of) East Germany, and further went on to open the gates allowing East and West German families to reunite. Hooray! Because that’s no much different from what’s going on here in the United States. Except that there is no wall holding our citizens in.

Hand dryers 'splatter' users with bacteria, scientists warn

Leeds University found that airborne germ counts are 27 times higher around jet air dryers in comparison with the air around paper towel dispensers

Modern hand dryers are much worse than paper towels when it comes to spreading germs, according to new University of Leeds research.

Scientists from the University of Leeds have found that high-powered ‘jet-air’ and warm air hand dryers can spread bacteria in public toilets.

Airborne germ counts were 27 times higher around jet air dryers in comparison with the air around paper towel dispensers.

The study shows that both jet and warm air hand dryers spread bacteria into the air and onto users and those nearby.

The research team, led by Professor Mark Wilcox of the School of Medicine, contaminated hands with a harmless type of bacteria called Lactobacillus, which is not normally found in public bathrooms. This was done to mimic hands that have been poorly washed.

The Next Round of the Great Crisis is Just Around the Corner

The financial system is lurching towards the next round of the Great Crisis that began in 2007.

The 2007-2008 phase occurred when investment banks flooded the financial system with toxic derivatives. All told the derivatives market was over $1 QUADRILLION (that’s 1,000 TRILLIONS) in notional value when the crisis hit.

The Central Banks, knowing that the very banks they are meant to govern, were insolvent, began a series of emergency measures to deal with this. In the simplest form, they moved the banks’ garbage debts onto the public’s (read sovereign nations’) balance sheets.

The banks, knowing that they were given a green light, have since begun leveraging up again. Today, the financial system’s leverage is in fact even greater than it was in 2007.

Moreover, this time around, entire countries are on the verge of being bankrupt.

Consider Japan.

Japan is the third largest economy in the world. And the Bank of Japan is buying ALL of its debt issuance. This is precisely what triggered Germany’s Weimar Hyperinflation. The Japanese Bond market has become in the words of a financial insider “a giant Ponzi scheme”

We all know how Ponzi schemes end. They implode. Japan is on the verge of this.

Obama Must Be Impeached And Removed To Stop His "Amnesty" Of Illegals

In an article on WesternJournalism.com they report: “Even though Obama himself has called such executive action illegal 25 times, as documented by Fox News, the president is now planning to issue a unilateral decree that will declare up to 5 million illegal immigrants eligible for amnesty.”

And:

Already, Republicans on Capitol Hill are reacting strongly to the long-expected executive order. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz assails the presidential action as “the tactics of a monarch.”

GOP Rep. Steve King of Iowa says, “The president is throwing this nation into a crisis.”

Indeed he is. His actions are unprecedented, unconstitutional, and will cause a firestorm. Even Obama, in previous days, has condemned the same actions he is now taking (rule by Executive Order to circumvent Congress) as “unconstitutional.”

MDE intends to deny Conowingo Dam permit

CONOWINGO — The Maryland Department of Environment could deny Exelon Corporation a permit to generate electricity at the Conowingo Dam due to the impacts a study suggests it has on the Chesapeake Bay.

Exelon currently is under a one-year extension to operate the dam, which produces 500 megawatts of electricity.

“Our goal is to keep Conowingo, the largest single source of renewable electricity in Maryland, operating through the middle of the century, while continuing to work with key stakeholders to ensure the long-term health of the lower Susquehanna River and the Chesapeake Bay,” said Robert Judge, a spokesman for Exelon.

The extension was given to allow time for a three-year study headed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to be completed after a push in the 2014 General Assembly to do so.

The study, called the Lower Susquehanna River Watershed Assessment, suggested that the nutrients associated with sediment that flow past the Conowingo Dam affects the Upper Bay. The report also recommended, however, that further study be conducted.

Fed Hints It Won't Bail Out Stocks Next Time

Curious why, even as many were expecting at the time, the Fed decided against commenting on the October market swoon? Here is the answer, in the Fed's own words:

... members considered the advantages and disadvantages of adding language to the statement to acknowledge recent developments in financial markets. On the one hand, including a reference would show that the Committee was monitoring financial developments while also providing an opportunity to note that financial conditions remained highly supportive of growth. On the other hand, including a reference risked the possibility of suggesting greater concern on the part of the Committee than was actually the case, perhaps leading to the misimpression that monetary policy was likely to respond to increases in volatility. In the end, the Committee decided not to include such a reference.

In other words, the Fed refused to admit that all its cares about is record high stocks volatility.

And when the Fed says it didn't want to "suggest greater concern on the part of the Committee than was actually the case" regarding a tumbling stock market, that means that Bullard's hint on QE4 the day the DJIA plunged 500 points and the 10 Year flash crashed... never happened right?

Main St Gym Event

Joe

Main St. Gym is doing a big event at the gym on Dec 13th and hope it will set the stage for some big things in the future.

We are doing an amateur boxing event with Main St Gym Boxers but have also incorporated a portion of the show that will put Firefighter against Police officers, called Guns and Hoses. This year there will be 4 bouts in the Guns and Hoses portion of the show, but we are looking for it to become a full scale event and possible grow into the Civic Center.

Beside helping raise funds to keep the Main St Gym doing it’s work with so many at-risk youths, it can not be overstated that the Guns and Hoses part of this show has the potential to create “Unity in the Community"

This event in other area of the country bring together each department and both organization. Even more amazing is the bond formed between the Police and the low income sector of the community.

Parents Tasered, Sprayed, Handcuffed—as Kids Watch

On November 14, 2014, Home School Legal Defense Association filed a federal civil-rights lawsuit against Chief Sheriff’s Deputy David Glidden and Sheriff Darren White of the sheriff’s department of Nodaway County, Missouri. The suit charges Glidden and White with unlawfully forcing their way into the home of HSLDA members Laura and Jason Hagan on September 30, 2011, in violation of their Fourth Amendment rights.

A child protective services (CPS) caseworker had been inside the home several days earlier to investigate a report of a messy house and had returned for a follow-up visit. When Jason and Laura declined to allow her inside she summoned Glidden and White.

When Deputy Glidden arrived at the Hagans’ home he demanded to be allowed inside. Jason opened the door and told Glidden that he could not enter unless he had a court order.

Glidden said he would enter anyway.

As Jason turned to go back inside, Glidden sprayed him with pepper spray—first at the back of his head and then directly in his face. Glidden also sprayed Laura, who fell to the floor. Glidden then turned to Jason, who was still standing, and shot him in the back with his Taser. As Jason fell, Laura closed the front door. Glidden triggered the Taser three more times through the closed door.

Sheriff White joined Glidden on the front porch. Together they forced open the door and found Laura and Jason lying on the floor. Glidden sprayed Laura in the face a second time while White sprayed Jason and tried to turn him over onto his stomach.

The Most Important Law In U.S History Is Up For Debate And No One Is Talking About It

Students Forced to Endorse Liberal Ideology Before Registering for Classes at UC Davis

Before moonbattery brought America down to its current level, our universities were known as open marketplaces of ideas. Now they take ideological rigidity to the point of self-parody:

The University of California, Davis, requires students to complete an online activity in which they must identify certain words and phrases as “problematic” before they register for classes. Students are prompted to match “I’d hit that,” “I raped that exam,” “bitch,” “pimp,” and “slut” with the correct explanation for why each term should not be uttered.

In case you are studying for the test so as to be able to register at UC Davis,

The correct answer for “I’d hit that” is, “Expression used to indicate interest in having sex with the subject of the statement. This phrase indicates an inherent connection between sex and a physically violent act.”

FIRE informed the university that this opinion test violates the First Amendment. But moonbat educrats disagree.

University administrators maintain the activity is consistent with First Amendment principles because students are still permitted to register even if they get all the questions wrong. But this is merely akin to letting students choose from a range of compelled viewpoints—they are still compelled to express one of those viewpoints.
