Mexican leader knocks racism at home after 'Roma' Oscar wins
Mexico's president on Monday denounced racism in his country a day after the Mexican film "Roma" emerged as a big winner at the Academy Awards with a plot that highlighted prejudice and inequality.
Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron won the best director Oscar on Sunday for his semi-autobiographical film "Roma," which told the story of an indigenous domestic worker who cares for a middle-class family in 1970s Mexico City.
The movie also won awards for best foreign language film and cinematography, and President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador fielded several questions about "Roma" at his regular morning press conference.
Asked if he agreed with Cuaron that Mexican society remains rife with racist prejudice, the veteran leftist did not mince his words.
"I completely agree. Unfortunately, there is a lot of racism in Mexico," he said.

‘Absurd’ — White House Pushes Back On Allegation Trump Kissed Staffer On The Lips
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders dismissed a former Trump campaign staffer’s allegation that President Donald Trump kissed her on the lips during the 2016 presidential campaign.
The former staffer, Alva Johnson, told The Washington Post in a report published Monday that Trump attempted to kiss her on the lips in August 2016 during a campaign stop.
“I immediately felt violated because I wasn’t expecting it or wanting it,” Johnson said, though two alleged witnesses to the incident both denied it took place.
“This never happened and is directly contradicted by multiple highly credible eye witness accounts,” Sanders said in response, adding that the allegation is “absurd on its face.”

Chase Bank Denies Service to Conservatives
It’s hard to imagine how conservatives could be even more complacent than they actually are about what’s being done to this country.
The schools our children are taught in are almost universally run by liberals who hate everything we stand for, but we don’t demand that our representatives pull funding from state schools that behave that way.
Hollywood has become vocally, over-the-top hostile to Christians and conservatives, but we go see the movies anyway.
We still buy the papers and watch the cable news shows of networks that talk about us like we’re Nazis because we don’t agree with their liberal worldview.
More recently, increasingly monopolistic social media companies that have an inordinate amount of control over who gets heard and who doesn’t have started actively targeting conservatives and we just shrug or spout platitudes.
“If you don’t like the way they do it, take on those monopolies with hundreds of millions of users and billions in cash by building your own company.”
So, what happens when banks and credit card companies target people for their political views? Do we need to build our own banks, too?
Activist Laura Loomer, who has already been banned by PayPal, claims she had her account suspended by Chase Bank.

Conservatives Should Worry About the American Psychological Association
A 2014 New Yorker article asks: “Is Social Psychology Biased against Republicans?” The question arose after Dr. Jonathan Haidt spoke to an audience of psychologists and asked attendees to share their political affiliations by a show of hands. The results were extreme:
[On the Left, a] “sea of hands,” comprising about eighty per cent of the room, Haidt later recalled. Next, the centrists or moderates. Twenty hands. Next, the libertarians. Twelve hands. And last, the conservatives. Three hands.
Despite voicing multiple reasons why psychology might skew somewhat left, Dr. Haidt questioned the magnitude of the discrepancy, stating:
I submit to you that the under-representation of conservatives in social psychology, by a factor of several hundred, is evidence that we are a tribal moral community that actively discourages conservatives from entering.
Rebuttals swiftly followed.

It Is Now Legal To Defecate And Urinate On Denver Sidewalks
Denver, Colorado has decriminalized public defecation in order to make life easier for immigrants and the homeless. This has also happened in Los Angeles with predictable an disastrous results.
No Board of Health? That’s how diseases spread. Now every time I think of Denver I will see visions of poop and other body fluids on the sidewalk. People are required to dispose of dog poop and Denver is letting humans defecate any where they please.
The Denver City Council had an unanimous vote to decriminalize the offense of people committing certain low-level crimes like lying in a public right-of-way, urinating in public and panhandling. After decriminalizing defecating on sidewalks, the Chamber of Commerce will probably rename Denver as the “Mile High Pile City.”

Amateur Theater Group Has To Yank Play Because It’s Within 25 Miles of Boston – Even Though Broadway Version Is Playing in New York
An amateur theater group in Marblehead has cancelled its planned performances of a play based on Harper Lee’s 1960 book To Kill A Mockingbird after a lawyer threatened to sue the group for copyright infringement for $150,000.
Mugford Street Players purchased a license to stage an amateur version of the show for $1,200 for 12 performances, according to the Salem News.
But a lawyer representing the producer of a professional version of the show now playing on Broadway sent a letter to the group saying the contract states that no amateur versions of the show can be performed within 25 miles of any major city if a version of the show is playing on Broadway or is on tour.

Only 3 Democrat Senators Vote for Bill Protecting Babies Born Alive After Abortion
The Senate voted 53-44 in favor of legislation that would protect survivors of abortion, falling short of the necessary 60 votes to proceed as Democrats blocked the bill when only three of them joined Republicans.
Sens. Doug Jones of Alabama, Joe Manchin of West Virginia, and Bob Casey Jr. of Pennsylvania were the only Democrats to vote for the bill. All other 44 Democratic senators voted against the bill.
Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Tim Scott of South Carolina, and Kevin Cramer of North Dakota were not present for the vote.
The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act would have mandated that babies born alive during an abortion would receive “the same degree of professional skill and care to protect the newborn as would be offered to any other child born alive at the same gestational age,” according to Sen. Ben Sasse’s website.

Democrats block bill to stop infanticide. Politico smears Republicans for the effort
If anyone wonders why so many people hate, detest, despise the establishment media, witnessPolitico’s “news” article Monday night about Senate Democrats’ defeat of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
There will be more to say about the substance and repercussions of Senate Democrats’ vote last night refusing to protect infants delivered still alive after failed abortion attempts. What immediately rankles, though, is that Politico went to stupendous lengths to make Republicans look like cynical “bad guys” in the whole affair.
No neutral reporting allowed. No explanation of the New York, Virginia, and Vermont bills that catalyzed Republicans to introduce this Senate legislation, other than a sentence buried deep within the story mistakenly describing those state bills as merely having “loosened restrictions on third-trimester abortions.” Not even a semi-adequate recounting of the concerns forwarded by the bill’s Republican sponsors.

Judges Can't Rule After They Die, Supreme Court Says
Once judges die, they lose the power to rule, the nation’s highest federal court has decided.
The U.S. Supreme Court has decided that a federal appeals court judge who died before a decision he voted on was issued can’t have his vote counted.
Stephen Reinhardt, one of the most liberal federal judges in the country, died at age 87 on March 28, 2018. Eleven days later the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which is the most liberal federal appeals court in the country, issued a decision on a case setting new precedent on a 6-5 vote, counting Reinhardt’s vote and the opinion he wrote before his death.
The appeals court justified its action with a footnote: “Prior to his death, Judge Reinhardt fully participated in this case and authored this opinion. The majority opinion and all concurrences were final, and voting was completed by the en banc court prior to his death.”
The federal Supreme Court on Monday said no.
“Because Judge Reinhardt was no longer a judge at the time when the en banc decision in this case was filed, the Ninth Circuit erred in counting him as a member of the majority. That practice effectively allowed a deceased judge to exercise the judicial power of the United States after his death. But federal judges are appointed for life, not for eternity,” the U.S. Supreme Court said.

What the Best Picture winner says about the Oscars
Race was destined to be a central element of this year’s Oscars, where Kevin Hart was disinvited from hosting, “Black Panther” inspired the idea of an Outstanding Achievement in Popular Film category, and #OscarsSoWhite turned four years old.
So of course, “Green Book,” a film about a black pianist touring in the Deep South, won Best Picture. But why not “Black Panther,” a superhero film set in Africa? Or “BlacKkKlansman,” a film about a black cop who infiltrates the Ku Klux Klan?
The fact that civil rights leader Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., presented the nomination for “Green Book” signaled what was to come.

10 Sounds We Hate Most and Why
Scientists have discovered why unpleasant sounds trigger a negative response. When we hear unpleasant sounds such as a fork scraping a plate or nails against a chalk board, the auditory cortex of the brain and an area of the brain called theamygdala interact to produce a negative response. The auditory cortex processes sound, while the amygdala is responsible for processing emotions such as fear, anger, and pleasure. When we hear an unpleasant sound, the amygdala heightens our perception of the sound. This heightened perception is deemed distressing and memories are formed associating the sound with unpleasantness.
Sound is a form of energy that causes air to vibrate, creating sound waves. Hearing involves the conversion of sound energy to electrical impulses. Sound waves from the air travel to our ears and are carried down the auditory canal to the ear drum. Vibrations from the eardrum are transmitted to the ossicles of the middle ear. The ossicle bones amplify the sound vibrations as they are passed along to the inner ear. The sound vibrations are sent to the organ of Corti in the cochlea, which containsnerve fibers that extend to form the auditory nerve. As the vibrations reach the cochlea, they cause the fluid inside the cochlea to move. Sensory cells in the cochlea called hair cells move along with the fluid resulting in the production of electro-chemical signals or nerve impulses. The auditory nerve receives the nerve impulses and sends them to the brainstem. From there the impulses are sent to the midbrainand then to the auditory cortex in the temporal lobes. The temporal lobes organize sensory input and process the auditory information so that the impulses are perceived as sound.

FBI chart showed 'gross negligence' not an option to prosecute Hillary Clinton for her emails
A chart disseminated within the FBI excluded "gross negligence" from a collection of statutes by which former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton could be prosecuted for the use of an unauthorized private email server.
During private testimony last year, an email was shown from an unknown individual in the FBI general counsel’s office to Bill Priestap, who served as assistant director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s counterintelligence division.
This email, sent to Priestap's former superior Michael Steinbach, had a chart of “available statutes for prosecuting the former Secretary of State" which did not include "gross negligence," theEpoch Times reports.

Conservative African Methodist Denounces the Racism of Progressive American Bishops
As part of the lead-up to the United Methodist Church's special session, the Reform and Renewal Coalition Breakfast was held on February 23 in St. Louis. One of the breakfast's keynote speakers was Dr. Jerry P. Kulah, Dean of Gbarnga School of Theology at United Methodist University in Liberia. In his thoughtful, nuanced speech, Dr. Kulah held the progressive American Bishops' feet to the fire over their patronizing racism.
In case you missed the news, the United Methodist Church is holding a special session of the General Conference. Over the course of the three-day session, the 864 General Conference Delegates will discuss and vote on the Council of Bishops' proposed Commission on the Way Forward.
In a nutshell, the Commission on the Way Forward offers three paths the denomination could take regarding same-sex marriage and the ordination of LGBTQ ministers.
On one side, progressives are urging full affirmation of LGBTQ individuals and their full and complete integration into the life of UMC churches. The other side, of course, is seeking to obey the Bible's teachings on sexuality and marriage. At this point, it's anybody's guess as to what the UMC will look like on the other side of the special session, which ends Feb. 26.
As part of that larger conversation, the Reform and Renewal Coalition consists of a group of conservative Methodist organizations. As a group, they have been active in denouncing how progressives continue to hold the UMC's theology hostage. As a general rule, Methodist churches on the African continent are conservative. They are also fed up with the patronizing racism of the American bishops.
After calling for Methodists to stand firm in their commitment to biblical sexual ethics, Dr. Kulah gave this pointed rebuke:

White House to Veto Democrat Bill Criminalizing Private Gun Sales
The White House made clear Monday that if the House Democrats’ push to criminalize private gun sales somehow reached the president’s desk, it would be vetoed.
On Monday, Breitbart News reported that the Democrats plan to vote this week on H.R.8, the legislation criminalizing private gun sales. H.R.8 would not have stopped a single mass shooter from the last decade, but it would criminalize a friend who sells a gun to a lifelong friend without first getting government permission.
Bloomberg News’ Sahil Kapur reports that the White House released a “Statement of Administration Policy,” making clear the White House opposes the Democrat gun control push.

A critical Supreme Court victory for property rights
With each of President Trump's appointments to the judiciary, and especially to the Supreme Court, the activist Left has tried to scare Americans into believing that they are creating judges and courts with no common sense or fairness.
Nothing could be farther from the truth. And clear, non-partisan evidence of this comes through every so often with a ruling that is both revolutionary in nature and broadly agreed to by jurists from widely divergent political backgrounds.
Last week, a unanimous Supreme Court ruled that law enforcement can no longer make grossly disproportionate seizures of property, even from people who owe money after being convicted of crimes.

Jamie Dimon: Amazon's decision to forsake New York cost 100,000 jobs
Amazon's change of mind about locating in the New York City area resulted in a loss of about 100,000 jobs, far beyond the 25,000 people who would have worked directly for the company, according to JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon.
“It wasn’t just the 25,000 jobs that Amazon was going to do. It was probably going to be about 100,000 jobs supporting it," Dimon said at the National Governors Association Winter Meeting over the weekend. "And they would have gone from low skill to high skilled to consultants to lawyers to restaurants to barbers and construction workers," said Dimon, who donates to both parties. "That’s the shame, that’s what they lost, the whole ecosystem that creates jobs and furthers interest and cities and states acts that act that way, they will be long-term losers.”
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., helped lead opposition to Amazon’s move to Long Island City near Queens.

Poll: 'Dramatic Shift' Among Americans on Abortion
The latest Marist Poll has found that Americans are equally likely to identify as pro-life as pro-choice, a double-digit shift from just last month, Axios reports.
Marist, in a poll commissioned by the Catholic group the Knights of Columbus, asked respondents about their views on abortion and compared the results to a similar poll from last month.
February poll: 47 percent pro-choice, 47 percent pro-life.
January poll: 55 percent pro-choice, 38 percent pro-life.
The poll also found that most Americans, 80 percent, think abortion should be restricted to the first three months of a pregnancy.
Both New York and Virginia have passed measures on abortion in recent weeks, primarily concerning late-term abortion, which Marist Poll director Barbara Carvalho credits with changing Americans’ attitudes on abortion.
“Current proposals that promote late-term abortion have reset the landscape and language on abortion in a pronounced – and very measurable – way,” she said.

Charlie Kirk at TPUSA Latino Summit: Skin Color Does Not Dictate Political Preference
Hundreds of conservative Latino students gathered in Phoenix, Arizona, over the weekend to attend Turning Point USA’s annual Young Latino Leadership Summit.
Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder and executive director Charlie Kirk told summit attendees on Saturday that he is “tired of seeing these racial demagogues on the Left, trying to make it seem as if your skin color must dictate a political preference.”
“I don’t care what you look like, I care what your worldview is,” continued Kirk during a Q&A session, “The Left have become the true racists. They say — Mexicans cannot be conservatives — they say black people cannot be conservatives. That’s a racist thing to say.”
One summit attendee asked Kirk what young conservatives can do to better deliver their message to fellow young people.
“We saw Beto O’Rourke — Robert Francis O’Rourke — running on that fake Mexican platform” said the student during Kirk’s Q&A session, “We saw him gather, rally together the support of not only Hispanics, but Caucasians, and people from out of the state of Texas.”
“The Republican Party did not do a good job of reaching out to the youth,” continued the student, who then asked Kirk what young people can do in order to better rally the youth in favor of conservative principles.
“It has to start culturally,” answered Kirk.

The Chilling Timeline of the ISIS Bride Who Wants to Return to America
What are we to make of the ISIS bride who now wants to return to America? Hoda Muthana left her home in Alabama in 2014 to join the terrorist "caliphate" of ISIS in Syria. Now, reportedly thrice-married to ISIS terrorists, twice-widowed, and recently arrived with her 18-month-old son at a Kurdish-run refugee camp in northern Syria, she says she "deeply regrets" joining ISIS, and wants to come back to the United States.
How this plays out under U.S. law is likely to be decided by the legal wranglers in court, based on technicalities of dates and documents. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has called her a terrorist, described her as having inflicted "enormous risk" on Americans, and released a statement that she is not a U.S. citizen and does not have any legal basis to travel to the United States. President Trump has tweeted that he has instructed Pompeo "not to allow Hoda Muthana back into the Country!" Hoda's father, Ahmed Ali Muthana, a naturalized U.S. citizen, is now suing Trump, Pompeo and Attorney General William Barr to have Hoda and her son "declared to be U.S. citizens and returned to the United States," which, according to the complaint, is what she wants, even if that could mean facing criminal prosecution.

Hate Hoax: Prosecutors Charge LGBT Activist with Burning Down Own Home with Pets Inside
Michigan prosecutors say Nikki Joly, a longtime LGBT activist, set fire to her home and killed her pets due to resentment from subsiding controversy over the enactment of non-discrimination legislation he advocated for.
The Detroit News reported Monday that law enforcement charged Joly, a transgender man from Jackson, Michigan, burned down her own home, killing five pets inside, in what was initially investigated by the FBI as an alleged hate crime in 2017. The newspaper, citing two individuals who worked along with Joly at St. Johns United Church of Christ, where the Jackson Pride Center is based, reported that Jolly, 54, had become “frustrated that the controversy over gay rights had died down with the passage of the non-discrimination law.”

Joe Biden demands rock star treatment at his $150K gig
For his appearance at the Broward Center last month, Joe Biden wasn’t simply a former vice president and possible 2020 presidential candidate.
He was an artist, similar in many ways to many other entertainers.
That means everything about the appearance — not just the fee — was spelled out in a detailed contract: the program, the dressing room, the food, the time for each segment of the performance.
The contract and the rider, which is an attachment to a contract listing additional details, was obtained and distributed by MapLight, a national nonprofit organization that scrutinizes money in politics. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts didn’t respond to email or phone inquiries about the documents.
Biden was represented by the mega talent Creative Artists Agency, and the contract left little to chance.
Biden’s meal was spelled out in the documents: angel hair pomodoro, Caprese salad and raspberry sorbet with biscotti.
Dressing rooms for Biden and his staff were to be stocked with bottled water, Coke Zero, regular Coke, orange Gatorade and black coffee. Snacks were mixed nuts and A fruit plate.
And Biden’s dressing room was to be labeled “VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN.”
The Money.

Report: Leftist Interest Groups Calling the Shots at Many American Universities
According to a recently published investigative report, leftist interest groups are secretly playing a major role at many American Universities, often funded in part by mandatory student fees.
According to a report by the Capital Research Center, “public interest research groups” are playing a silent yet major role at many major American universities. The report makes the case that these interest groups use universities and their students to advance a progressive partisan agenda.
Public interest research groups often raise funds via dishonest or deceitful methods. For example, many groups are funded by mandatory student fees. According to the report, the New York Public Interest Research Group has been able to raise $1 million each year from mandatory student fees.
As David Seidemann, an environmental science professor at Brooklyn College, wrote in 2016: “administrators at public universities across the country have granted [the PIRGs] unique campus privileges and funneled millions of dollars—in part, from mandatory student fees.”
As a result, the New York chapter of PIRG (NYPIRG) now “raises more money than all other campus student groups and surreptitiously diverts those funds to its statewide lobbying operations”—as much as $1 million forcibly raised from the pockets of college students each year.
Many of these groups are using these funds to promote a partisan political agenda, such as the Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group. This group, which was founded in 1972, utilizes its resources on campuses to encourage young college students to support Democrat candidates for public office.

Judge Rules Missouri Clinic Cannot Resume Abortions
Planned Parenthood cannot resume abortions at a clinic in central Missouri after a federal judge ruled that state restrictions were not “undue” burdens on women seeking abortions.
Current Missouri law requires clinics that provide abortions to have physicians with admitting privileges at a nearby hospital. The Columbia clinic has been unable to secure a physician with those privileges after a panel of medical staff at University of Missouri Health Care decided to stop offering the privileges in 2015 during a Republican-led legislative investigation on abortion in the state.
The clinic filed a motion in December asking for an exemption from that requirement so the Columbia clinic could resume abortions. St. Louis has the only clinic able to offer abortions in the state.
U.S. Western District Court Judge Brian Wimes ruled Friday that the admitting privileges did not affect enough women to constitute an undue burden, The Columbia Missourian reported .
Wimes also wrote that requiring women to drive farther to obtain an abortion was not enough of a burden to rule in Planned Parenthood’s favor.

Dems block 'born alive' bill to provide medical care to infants who survive failed abortions
Senate Democrats on Monday blocked a Republican bill that would have threatened prison time for doctors who don't try saving the life of infants born alive during failed abortions, leading conservatives to wonder openly whether Democrats were embracing "infanticide" to appeal to left-wing voters.
All prominent Democratic 2020 presidential hopefuls in the Senate voted down the measure, including Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Kamala Harris of California, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts. The final vote was 53-44 to end Democratic delaying tactics -- seven votes short of the 60 needed.
Three Democrats joined Republicans to support the bill -- Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania and Doug Jones or Alabama. Three Republicans did not vote, apparently because of scheduling issues and plane flight delays -- including Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Tim Scott of South Carolina.
The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act would have required that "any health care practitioner present" at the time of a birth "exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of the child as a reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive at the same gestational age."

Connecticut Democrat Gov. Ned Lamont Reverses Campaign Vow: Tolls for All
Newly installed Connecticut Democrat Gov. Ned Lamont is already reneging on his campaign pledge to place tolls only on trucks on the state’s roads.
In a budget speech Wednesday that left voters reeling, Lamont, a telecommunications entrepreneur who campaigned as a businessman who knew how to reverse the state’s financial crisis, mapped out his plans to bring Connecticut back from the brink of near-bankruptcy – but none of them involved cutting spending.
In fact, the Democrat proposed increased spending as he also pushed for at least 53 electronic overhead toll gantries across what is the third smallest state in the United States – for all cars and trucks. In addition, Lamont called for expanded sales taxes on dozens of new items and services as well as new taxes on sugary drinks, a surcharge on plastic bags, and a $15 minimum wage.

Great-grandmother, 79, fights off a burglar with TWO firearms
A 79-year-old great-grandmother has told how she took on a burglar inside her home by firing two guns at him and shouting, 'when you come down them stairs, I'm gonna blow your fu***** brains out'.
Gwendolyn Agard, was in her house in Jackson County, Atlanta when she saw a man trying to open her front door.
The man proceeded to get inside the property by using an outside set of stairs to get to a window on the upper level of her house.
Agard's call on February 12, where she can be heard shouting at the burglar and firing shots, has been released by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
In an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Agard said, although she sounded full of fight on the call, she was frightened the man had a gun.

PayPal CEO Admits Partnership with Far-Left SPLC to Blacklist Conservatives
PayPal CEO Dan Schulman admitted during an interview with the Wall Street Journal that PayPal works with the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) when it considers blacklisting conservatives.
After being asked by the Wall Street Journal what “values” PayPal identifies with,” Schulman replied, “Probably the most important value to us is diversity and inclusion.”
“I think North Carolina was probably the moment that was the most visible, where we basically said this violates our core value and we need to make a very public stand on it,” claimed Schulman, referencing the time when PayPal pulled out of an investment in North Carolina because the state passed a bill making it mandatory for people to use the bathroom of their biological sex.
“Businesses need to be a force for good in those values and issues that they believe in..," the PayPal CEO said.

ISIS Bride Hoda Muthana: Birthright Citizenship?
Hoda Muthana, the daughter of a foreign diplomat, was born in the United States in 1994. Her father, Ahmed Ali Muthana, who subsequently became a U.S. citizen the old-fashioned way — legally — was formerly a Yemeni diplomat. Four years ago, Hoda left the U.S. to join with Islamic State fighters in Syria.
She married an ISIS terrorist and supported the jihadis’ brutal slaughter of innocent men, women, and children. Now that ISIS is nearing defeat (not to suggest its ideology will ever be defeated), Hoda has decided that maybe Alabama would be a better place to raise her son than the ruins of a Syrian desert.
This is setting up a legal battle that may shed some light on who is and, more importantly, who is not entitled to U.S. citizenship.

We Talked to Former Planned Parenthood Workers. Their Stories Are Chilling.
Planned Parenthood employees and educators “celebrate” abortion and do not protect young women, former employees told The Daily Caller News Foundation in a series of interviews revealing graphic details about their tenures with the organization.
Myra Kincaid worked as a surgical assistant at a Planned Parenthood in Baltimore, Maryland, from February 2013 to February 2014, she said. Planned Parenthood called Kincaid shortly before she graduated college to recruit her, Kincaid told The Daily Caller News Foundation. She previously worked as a pharmacy technician and was in school to become a medical assistant.
Kincaid said Planned Parenthood didn’t emphasize abortion at the beginning of her employment and told her the organization provided services for women like cancer screenings, but shortly thereafter, she was “thrown right into the surgical room where they perform the abortions, and that’s because they were so short-staffed that they had to rush me through training.”
Kincaid got through each day by telling herself she was helping women, she told The Daily Caller News Foundation. But ultrasound-guided abortions began upsetting Kincaid.
“It wasn’t until I had to actually pick out the pieces of children, that’s when I started looking at these little arms and little legs. They’re like little dolls,” she said.

Warning issued over attacks on internet infrastructure
Key parts of the internet infrastructure face large-scale attacks that threaten the global system of web traffic, the internet's address keeper warned Friday.
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) declared after an emergency meeting "an ongoing and significant risk" to key parts of the infrastructure that affects the domains on which websites reside.
"They are going after the internet infrastructure itself," ICANN chief technology officer David Conrad told AFP.
"There have been targeted attacks in the past, but nothing like this."
The attacks date back as far as 2017 but have sparked growing concerns from security researchers in recent weeks, which prompted the special meeting of ICANN.
The malicious activity targets the Domain Name System or DNS which routes traffic to intended online destinations.
ICANN specialists and others say these attacks have a potential to snoop on data along the way, sneakily send the traffic elsewhere or enable the attackers to impersonate or "spoof" critical websites.
"There isn't a single tool to address this," Conrad said, as ICANN called for an overall hardening of web defenses.
US authorities issued a similar warning last month about the DNS attacks.

DiFi gives a group of schoolkids some Democrap
Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein pulled rank Friday when a group of kids tried to school her on climate change.
After the group sought her support for the Green New Deal, the 85-year-old senior senator from California let them know she wasn't about to be bossed around by a bunch of youngsters.
In response to their request, Feinstein informs them that “We have our own Green New Deal.” And then came the point where Feinstein drew the line.
"You know what’s interesting about this group?," Feinstein said, in an interaction that was captured on video. "I’ve been doing this for 30 years. I know what I’m doing.
“You come in here, and you say it has to be my way or the highway. I don’t respond to that,” Feinstein continued. “I’ve gotten elected, I just ran. I was elected by almost a million-vote plurality. And I know what I’m doing. So you know, maybe people should listen a little bit.”
The sides then devolve into a back-and-forth until someone reminds Feinstein that they are “the people who voted” for her and part of her job is to hear their concerns.
“How old are you?” Feinstein asks.
“I’m sixteen. I can’t vote,” the girl replies.
“Well, you didn’t vote for me,” the lawmaker retorts.

Senate Democrats block Republicans' anti-infanticide bill
Republicans’ effort to outlaw infanticide of babies born after botched abortions foundered Monday, falling victim to a Democrat-led filibuster in what could be Congress’s only chance to vote on the hot-button issue this year.
The GOP-led Senate only mustered 53 votes — seven shy of the 60 needed to overcome Democrats’ filibuster. Three Democrats crossed the aisle to back the bill, while three Republicans missed the vote.
Backers said they were driven to act by recent state laws and bills they said would allow abortions up to the point of birth — and, in at least the case of one failed piece of legislation in in Virginia, would have allowed a child born despite an attempted abortion to be left to die.
“It isn’t about new restrictions on abortion. It isn’t about changing the options available to women. It’s just about recognizing that a newborn baby is a newborn baby. Period,” said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican.

Steele: Alleged Domestic Terrorist White Nationalist Hasson Is Trump’s ‘People’
Friday on MSNBC’s “Deadline,” the former chair of the Republican National Committee Michael Steele commented on Coast Guard lieutenant and self-identified white nationalist Christopher Paul Hasson, who was arrested by the FBI as a suspected domestic terrorist.
Hasson allegedly had a hit list that included Democratic politicians and journalists.
Steele said Hasson is President Donald Trump’s kind of person.
Steele said, “I guess I kind of—at this point I have reached my glass is no longer half full, it’s just overflowing with all of the crazy that comes out of Trump. On this one, why would we be surprised a self-proclaimed nationalist would not speak out against a self-proclaimed white nationalist? Why are we acting like this is a space that Donald Trump is going to go in and behave of the American ideal? No, he is not. These are his people. And he’s not going to thank law enforcement because he’s probably not happy about what law enforcement did.”

However, everyone's favorite three-home-earning, private-jet-flying socialist, Bernie Sanders has ratcheted his campaign's rhetoric to '11' this morning with an op-ed directly calling for a socialist revolution in America - and based on the majority of Americans' views, he may just get one!
It's Time To Complete The Revolution We Started
authored by Bernie Sanders via The Guardian,
One week ago, when we launched our campaign for president, I asked people from across the country to sign up to be part of an unprecedented grassroots campaign. The response from the American people has been historic.
In six days, more than one million people have answered the call. Americans from every single Congressional district in the country have signed up to help lead a movement that is not only about defeating Donald Trump, the most dangerous president in modern American history, but about creating a government based on the principles of economic, social, racial and environmental justice.
This task will not be easy. Today, we have more income and wealth inequality than at any time since the 1920s, and the three wealthiest Americans own more wealth than the bottom half of our country.
Despite relatively low unemployment, millions of people work multiple jobs because they earn starvation wages, 34 millionAmericans have no health insurance, and we pay the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs.

WICOMICO EXECUTIVE BOB CULVER ANNOUNCES RECYCLING SUCCESS
Executive Bob Culver announced today the State of Maryland has released the Maryland Recycling Act totals for calendar year 2017. Wicomico County is ranked #1 in Maryland with a recycling rate of 57.65% overall. The success of the county-wide recycling program is dependent on businesses and citizens diverting materials such as cardboard, glass, metal, plastics, and vegetative debris from the overall waste stream. These efforts, while helping protect the environment, help extend the life of the Newland Park Landfill.
Under Executive Culver, efforts have been undertaken to update and upgrade the recycling centers across the county. New signage, lighting, and security features have been installed at various locations and increased efforts have been made to keep each site clean. In addition, recycling bins located at certain convenience centers are being moved outside the gated area to allow recycling drop-off at all hours.
For more information on the Wicomico County recycling program, please call 410-548-4935.

The cutting-edge war to erase our culture
The recent news that the University of Notre Dame, responding to complaints by some students, would “shroud” its twelve 134-year-old murals depicting Christopher Columbus was disappointing.
It was not surprising, however, to anyone who has been paying attention to the widespread attack on America’s past wherever social justice warriors congregate.
Queried about the censorship, Notre Dame’s president, the Rev. John Jenkins, said, apparently without irony, that his decision to cover the murals was not intended to conceal anything, but rather to tell “the full story” of Columbus’ activities.
Welcome to the new Orwellian world where censorship is free speech and we respect the past by attempting to elide it.
Over the past several years, we have seen a rising tide of assaults on statues and other works of art representing our nation’s history by those who are eager to squeeze that complex story into a box defined by the evolving rules of political correctness.
