Report: McMaster Labeled Trump "Scary, a Dope"

“I see my mission as preventing him from blowing up the globe”

National Security Advisor General H.R. McMaster labeled President Donald Trump “a dope,” said it was “scary” that he had the nuclear football and vowed to stop him from “blowing up the globe”.

That’s according to long time Trump confidante Roger Stone, who said the remarks were made when McMaster was attempting to recruit Oracle CEO Safra Catz to chair the president’s Intelligence Advisory Board.

“Catz and McMaster were having dinner at a public restaurant….McMaster became inebriated but during that time he took a call from the president,” Stone told the Alex Jones Show, adding that when McMaster returned to the table “he had nothing but disparaging things to say about his boss.”

In Florida, more than 2.6 million people are without power, mass evacuation orders have been issued, and the ocean is literally pulling away from beaches. Still, the Floridian spirit remains untouched.

New pressure on Comey to return to Capitol Hill, as White House accuses him of 'false testimony'

The White House on Monday accused James Comey of giving “false testimony” and suggested the Justice Department look at whether he perjured himself, as Republican lawmakers stepped up pressure on the former FBI director to clarify apparent discrepancies in his public statements to Congress.

“Since the director’s firing, we’ve learned new information about his conduct that only provided further justification for that firing,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said, citing “false testimony” among her examples.

Asked to clarify whether she thought Comey perjured himself or at least misled Congress, Sanders told Fox News’ John Roberts: “I think that’s something probably for DOJ to look at, not me. I’m not an attorney.”

Dana Rohrabacher calls for hearings on links between Clinton Foundation and Russian financiers

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher's office issued the following letter:
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher has called on House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce to approve hearings on alleged corruption involving Russia and the Clinton Foundation, the global non-profit organization set up by former president Bill Clinton and his wife, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.

Mrs. Clinton ran for president as the Democrat nominee in 2016.

Noting evidence that Russian financiers donated heavily to the foundation, the California Republican, who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe, Eurasia, and Emerging Threats, proposed an "under-oath examination of the relationship between the donations and the 2013 CFIUS approval of the sale of America's uranium reserves."

The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States is the government's interagency body that reviews and authorizes investments in and purchases by foreign entities of American companies.

Rohrabacher's letter, sent to Royce on Wednesday, cites "new evidence that the Obama Administration had prior knowledge of possible bribery and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act involving state-owned Russian nuclear industry figures, the Clinton Foundation, and other Americans prior to the CFIUS approval of the uranium transaction."

As much as 20 percent of the reserves were transferred to Russia because of the deal, said Rohrabacher.

The congressman also suggested the hearings look into Russian energy interests that provided financial support to a campaign to undermine the American fracking industry and the construction of oil and gas pipelines in this country.

"We can no longer wait," said Rohrabacher, "to fully inform the American people of alleged criminal collusion by the previous Administration with the Russians."

Outcry after officer confiscates California hot dog vendor's money

BERKELEY, Calif. -- A video showing a University of California, Berkeley police officer ticketing a hot dog vendor, rifling through his wallet and confiscating his money has caused an outcry across social media.

CBS San Francisco reports the incident happened on Saturday outside of a university football game.

Martin Flores says he was buying food for his children and turned on the camera when an officer stopped the vendor to ticket him for selling food without a permit.

The video shows the officer taking the vendors wallet, and the man pleading in Spanish for his "dinero," meaning money.

Flores can be heard off-camera saying, "That's not right … you're going to take his hard-earned money?"

Bannon on 60 Minutes: I Hold Bush Admin 'Geniuses' in 'Complete Contempt'

Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon blasted the “geniuses” in former President George W. Bush’s administration for selling out American workers and getting the country stuck in the Middle East in a 60 Minutes interview with CBS anchor Charlie Rose.

Bannon took offense at establishment Republicans associated with the Bush administration who went out of their way to question President Donald Trump’s competence during the 2016 campaign even though nearly all of their “genius” ideas—like Paul Wolfowitz’s brand of nation-building and neoconservatism—turned out to be disastrous.

“I hold these people in contempt, total and complete contempt,” Bannon told Rose, adding that the former Bush administration officials get him riled up with anger like nothing else. “They’re idiots, and they’ve gotten us in this situation, and they question a good man like Donald Trump.”

Bannon blasted “the geniuses in the Bush administration that let China in the W.T.O.,” and reminded Rose that the “genius in the Bush administration told us, ‘Hey, they’re going to be a liberal democracy. They’re going to be free-market capitalism.’ The same geniuses that got us into Iraq.”

Former NAACP President Asks School To Rescind DeVos Invite

Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Ben Jealous, sharply criticized the picking of the controversial Betsy DeVos, the U.S. Secretary of Education, as the University of Baltimore’s commencement speaker.

She is scheduled to give the keynote address for the event now set for December 18.

A rally was held in the Gordon Plaza on the campus of the UB at noon Monday to protest the selection of DeVos. The plaza is located at the intersection of Mount Royal and Maryland Avenues.

A monument to Edgar Allan Poe sits in the front of the plaza. About hundred students attended the rally. DeVos was appointed to her office by President Donald Trump.

Before Jealous’ comments, a number of the students also spoke out against her selection. The decision that gave DeVos the nod as a commencement speaker, was made by UB’s President Kurt Schmoke.

Army Reserve reprimands soldier who spoke in uniform at Ron Paul rally

IOWA CITY, Iowa – A soldier who went on national television in his military fatigues to endorse Ron Paul's presidential campaign after the Iowa caucuses has been reprimanded but not dismissed from the Army Reserve, a spokeswoman said Friday.

The Army determined that Jesse D. Thorsen violated policies that bar soldiers from participating in political events in their official capacities or while in uniform. Experts say a reprimand may become a problem if Thorsen seeks a promotion or could be used to justify more serious punishment if he gets in trouble again.

U.S. Army Reserve spokeswoman Angel Wallace said a letter of reprimand was placed in Thorsen's official personnel file. Thorsen, who learned of the punishment following a two-month investigation, declined comment when reached by email. His supporters praised the news on a Facebook page dedicated to him, noting it could have been worse.

Thorsen, 28, showed up in his uniform Jan. 3 to Paul campaign's caucus night celebration at a suburban Des Moines hotel ballroom. There, he gave a live interview with CNN saying he supported Paul's plans "when it comes to bringing the soldiers home" because he'd served for a decade in the military during wartime.

CNN cut off the interview after technical difficulties and some Paul supporters accused the network of silencing Thorsen. Paul then called him to the stage so he could finish his thoughts before giving remarks after finishing a close third in Iowa's first-in-the-nation Republican presidential nominating contest.

"We don't need to be picking fights overseas. And I think everybody else knows that too," Thorsen said while on stage. He said being with Paul was "an incredible moment ... like meeting a rock star" and urged supporters to organize to make sure Paul was elected president.

The military's reaction was swift.

NFL gets the poor taste award in Week 1

Of all the dubious decisions in the opening week of the 2017 season, none topped the insensitive tweet from the league's official NFL Mexico account with three smiley emojis that likened the Kansas City Chiefs' big victory over the New England Patriots to the deadly earthquake that shook Mexico and took 90 lives.

That was worse than the Atlanta Braves playing "Rock You Like A Hurricane" between innings of their baseball game against the Miami Marlins on Thursday night while Hurricane Irma was bearing down on Florida.

That Scorpions' rock anthem is on the regular playlist at SunTrust Park and apparently was an oversight in the series opener. Besides, we'll give the Braves props for allowing any Floridians fleeing Irma to attend any of the four games in the weekend series for free.

Nolte: Steve Bannon Says out Loud What We All Knew: Hillary Clinton's 'Not Very Bright'

During his Sunday night interview with Charlie Rose on 60 Minutes, former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon finally said out loud what many of us already knew: that Hillary Clinton is “not very bright.”

This was actually my favorite part of the interview because nothing is healthier for our culture than the truth, most especially a truth no one dares to speak out loud.

For 25 years, Madam Clinton has been in the public eye, and for 25 years we have been told time and again and again and again two whoppers: 1) Hillary is brilliant. 2) When you get to know her, Hillary is a warm, funny, vibrant real person.

We expect Democrats and leftwing activists to tell us this. What else are they going to say? My problem is that it has been the national media, those who pose as objective truth-tellers, who have been spreading and cementing this fable. It is those who wear the uniform of journalists who keep telling us that this bumbling, fumbling, tone deaf, two-time failure is,when you really get to know her, a dazzling personality wrapped around a super-smart brain.

Granted, I do not know Hillary Clinton. I’ve never met her, nor have I even seen her in person. Nevertheless…

Jeff Sessions conservatives Trump swamp IRS

Attorney General’s Lois Lerner-IRS decision betrays conservatives

Most conservatives applauded when President Donald Trump nominated Jeff Sessions, then-senator from Alabama, to be the next Attorney General. After eight years of the lawless Obama Regime, it seemed to millions of real Americans the rule of law would be restored.

While the list of lawless acts from the Obama Regime goes on almost forever, one that stuck with many conservatives was the use of the Internal Revenue Service to attack opponents of the Regime.

Under disgraced former executive Lois Lerner, the IRS targeted Americans on the basis of their political beliefs for extra scrutiny or audits. At the time, the IRS targeting scandal broke in 2013, Ms. Lerner was working with the Department of Justice to prosecute conservatives for the crime of being conservative.

After 15 die in hepatitis outbreak, San Diego begins sanitary street washing

Sanitary street washing will commence in downtown San Diego and will continue every other week to combat the city’s deadly hepatitis A outbreak, Mayor Kevin Faulconer’s office said Friday.

The city responded to a letter sent by San Diego County Thursday, asking the city to move forward with a list of specific sanitation actions designed to help control the spread of the disease, which has killed 15 people and hospitalized nearly 300, many of them homeless and living on streets without adequate access to restrooms or showers.

The county gave the city five business days to respond with a plan for remedying what it called a “fecally contaminated environment” downtown. The county will soon expand its efforts to other cities in the region, where the outbreak has now produced nearly 400 confirmed cases.

The county moved forward last weekend with its own contractor, who installed 40 hand-washing stations in areas where the homeless often gather. There are plans, according to the city’s letter, to add more stations next week.

Secret Service Offered to ‘Fast-Track’ Disability Retirement for Able-Bodied Workers, Several DHS Sources Say

The Secret Service has offered to "fast-track" disability retirement for able-bodied agents and other employees in return for dropping complaints or disputes, according to an agent who filed a whistleblower-retaliation complaint and several Department of Homeland Security sources.

The agency allegedly offered to defraud taxpayers by expediting a false disability-retirement application last summer as the service was grappling with budget woes trying to meet the 2016 presidential campaign's unprecedented operational demands.

More recently, the Secret Service has said it needs $200 to $300 million more a year to hire enough people and put the right technology in place to safeguard President Donald Trump, as well as his large family and many residences, and former President Barack Obama and his family, who currently reside in a private residence in Washington, D.C.

Krieger: We Need To Admit The Government Story About 9/11 Is Bullshit

Unless we come to terms with 9/11 and the obvious fact that the official government story is a ridiculous fairytale, it’ll be hard for our nation to move forward in an intelligent, courageous and ethical manner.

Many of the most destructive trends which have defined our post September 11, 2001 environment, such as a loss of civil liberties and endless barbaric wars of aggression abroad, have been directly related to our false understanding of that awful terrorist attack.

As I’ve always maintained, I have no idea what really went down on that day, I just know that the U.S. government and its intelligence agencies are not being honest.

Although it’s been a long time coming, we’re finally uncovering some kernels of truth about the attack and the role Saudi Arabia played in carrying them out. Much of this progress has been driven by family members of those who died, some of whom are suing the Saudis for their role in that despicable slaughter of civilians.

I’ve written about these lawsuits on several occasions, but here’s an updated summary from Common Dreams, published two days ago:

Judge orders Hillary Clinton lawyers to face bar investigation in Maryland

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A Maryland judge ordered the state bar to open an investigation Monday into the three lawyers who helped former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delete her private emails.

Anne Arundel County Circuit Court Judge Paul F. Harris Jr. said the complaints lodged against David E. Kendall,Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson were egregious and the state bar couldn’t dismiss them as frivolous.

“There are allegations of destroying evidence,” Judge Harris said at a hearing Monday morning.

He said the state’s rules require the bar to conduct investigations no matter who raises the complaint and can’t brush aside accusations.

The judge made the announcement a day before Mrs. Clinton releases her latest book, “What Happened,” and begins a monthslong book tour attempting to explain how she lost an election she thought she had secured.

Md. YouTube Couple Gets 5 Years Probation For Prank Videos Involving Their Kids

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The parents behind a controversial YouTube channel featuring videos of them playing pranks on their children have received five years of probation after entering Alford pleas in a Frederick County court.

Mike and Heather Martin were charged with two counts of neglect of a minor in July, and their plea hearing was held Monday.

When a defendant enters an Alford plea, it means they are acknowledging that there is enough evidence to convict. The plea is not an admission of wrongdoing, however.

Hundreds of videos on the couple’s DaddyOFive YouTube channel showed everything from smashing electronics, to a fake robbery, and other elaborate pranks to terrify their five children. The Martins quickly reached 800,000 followers after launching their channel, DaddyOFive.

Mr. President, They’re Never Going To Like You Der

Donald Trump enjoys being liked. When he gets favorable poll numbers he is quick to cite it. When he gets unfavorable poll numbers he is quick to cite the best numbers in it or, if there aren’t any in it, ignore it completely. That’s politics and to be expected. But polls are one thing, being liked by politicians is another. And that’s where there is a lot of room for trouble.

President Trump this week cut a deal with Congressional Democrats on funding for Hurricane Harvey relief and raising the debt ceiling for 3 months. Yes, you read that right – the Republican president cut a deal with Congressional Democrats. The problem is Democrats don’t control Congress.

The scene was reported this way, “President Donald Trump surprised the leaders of his own party in Congress on Wednesday when he backed a deal pushed by Democrats to attach hurricane relief money to a shorter-term bump in the debt ceiling as well as keeping the government open, cutting off his own Treasury secretary to strike a deal.”

Conservatives wanted a longer deal than 3 months and concessions on spending to address the debt ceiling. They got none of it, nor did they get any say in the deal the president cut with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

Schumer and Pelosi were happy, which should worry everyone.

On Air Force One later in the day, the president told reporters, “We discussed that also today, and Chuck and Nancy would like to see something happen, and so do I. And I said if we can get something to happen, we’re going to sign it and we’re going to make a lot of happy people.”

Boca Plaza hotel owner John Wagner was opening up his inn to Florida Light and Power workers Monday, hoping that would get the juice flowing faster.

“We put them up when needed,” he told The Post. “Maybe they’ll get power back here sooner.”

Chelsea Clinton’s Nasty Response To Trump Helping Harvey Victims Backfires BIG TIME

There is something seriously wrong with Chelsea Clinton. While President Trump and First Lady Melania were in Houston, they comforted a lot of people. They hugged children and passed out food. It was a warming and great sight to see. I wasn’t alone… many Americans were truly heartened to see their President help out common people in their time of need. Not Chelsea Clinton, who is just dumb as a box of freaking rocks and evidently illiterate to boot. She pounced on President Trump because of a simple tweet he sent out. Personally, I think she’s just too dense to understand it, but that’s just me. She is petty and childish… in other words, she takes after her mother.

The situation in Houston is about as dire as it gets. The President showed true leadership during the emergency that was Hurricane Harvey. “It’s been very nice. It’s been a wonderful thing. It’s – as tough as this was, it’s been a wonderful thing. I think even for the country to watch and for the world to watch. It’s been beautiful. Have a good time everybody, I’m going to be doing a little help over here.”

There’s A Huge Hole In Hillary Clinton’s Defense Of Her ‘Deplorables’ Comment

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton played fast and loose with the facts on Sunday in an attempt to defend her infamous “deplorables” remark.

“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the ‘basket of deplorables.’ Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it,” Clinton said at a fundraiser in New York last September. “And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”

Clinton attempted to spin that remark — which proved to be one of the pivotal moments of the 2016 campaign — in a CBS interview that aired Sunday morning.

“Why do you think that word ‘deplorable’ was circulating in your mind?” CBS’ Jane Pauley asked Clinton.

Driver was drunk at time of fatal wrong-way Route 50 crash: police

WASHINGTON — The woman who drove the wrong way on Route 50 in July, leading to two deaths, was under the influence of alcohol at the time, police said Monday.

Parks crashed head on into another vehicle, killing Hui Xu, a 34-year-old from Herndon, Virginia. Parks also died. Two others from California were injured in the 2 a.m. crash.

Did Bush Support China Joining The World Trade Organization?

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon claimed in an interviewSunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes” that former President George W. Bush let China join the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Verdict: True

The Bush administration backed China’s membership in the WTO.

Fact Check:

In the interview, Bannon framed American support for China joining the WTO as a mistake that contributed to China’s rise as an economic competitor.

“The elites in this country have got us in a situation,” lamented Bannon. “The geniuses in the Bush administration that let China in the WTO, and genius in the Bush administration told us, ‘Hey, they’re gonna be a liberal democracy. They’re going to be free-market capitalism.’ Okay? The same geniuses that got us into Iraq, that’s the geniuses of the Bush administration.”

China gained admission to the WTO in 2001, a move that more fully integrated the country into the world economy. To become a member, China committedto reducing agricultural and industrial tariffs and abide by rules-based trade with other WTO members.

Gowdy Wonders If Democrats Are ‘Fearful’ Trump Dossier Is ‘A Piece Of Fiction’

Democrats are “fearful” that the Trump dossier is “a piece of fiction,” one that the FBI used to form the basis of its investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government.

That’s one theory that South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy is proposing for why Democrats are pushing back so hard against a GOP effort to get answers about the dossier from the FBI and Justice Department.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, the House Intelligence Committee member addressed claims from his Democratic colleagues and some in the media that he and his fellow Republicans are attempting to discredit the dossier and its author, former British spy Christopher Steele, in order to help Trump.

“I don’t know why anyone — from [California Rep.] Adam Schiff, to Vanity Fair, to Rachel Maddow — would not be curious whether or not the world’s premier law enforcement agency relied upon a dossier in connection with an investigation without vetting it,” Gowdy told TheDC on Friday.

Downtown Charleston Under Water: Irma Flash Flood Emergency Declared

While Hurricane Irma, which was reclassified as a tropical storm early Monday, spared Miami from a "worst case" scenario, the former hurricane saved some of its worst storm surge impacts for northeast Florida, coastal Georgia, and South Carolina.

A record water surge flooded downtown Jacksonville, leading the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood emergency as the water level rose sharply. Hours of strong winds blowing the ocean inland, and preventing water from the St. Johns River from escaping back into the ocean worsened the flood situation. The flooding, while predicted, is reportedly some of the worst the city has seen. Despite being weaker than Hurricane Matthew was when it passed by the city in 2016, Tropical Storm Irma helped push a greater amount of water onshore, and it struck right at the time of high tide. This caused the city to see its highest storm surge flooding on record.

R&D Costs For Cancer Drugs Are Likely Much Less Than Industry Claims, Study Finds

Cancer drugs cost far less to develop than industry-backed research asserts, an analysis published Monday asserts. Research and development costs are a major reason that drug companies justify high prices, so this dispute has a direct bearing on the cost of medical care.

The analysis, published in the current issue of JAMA Internal Medicine, concludes that it costs, on average, $650 million to develop a new cancer drug. The authors add in another $100 million or so to account for income those companies could have had if that money had been invested in the stock market instead of in new products.

That total is far lower than the $2.7 billion figure that the drug industry frequently points to when it justifies the soaring cost of medicine. (It's far higher than $320 million — an inflation-adjusted figure from a 2001 study by the consumer group Public Citizen).

A few months ago, after moving out of our family home, I took up temporary residence in a retirement community and I saw Florida and its residence a bit differently...that is what inspired the letter.

Does it excite me a little that my letter got so much attention? Yes, it does. Mainly for awareness. We always think we can solve someone else's dilemmas better than they can.

We have perfect ways for how other people should do things. I just wanted to speak positively on why those of us who stayed, stayed.

Here's the original link, and thank you to all who shared.

I have a show on relationships, called The Relationchicks with my co-host and friend Lauri Loewenburg, and we also signed a deal and will be joining The Little Women Franchise currently on Lifetime Network.

By the abundant grace of our amazing God, I've been blessed.

He spoke to my heart many years ago and said I just want my people to understand my great love for them. We are all His people! The best way for us to show His love, is to love each other.

I pray all of you make it through IRMA victoriously and with no damage.

I hope you know The Good News of Jesus, and understand the grace that covers you.

Much love,

Melinda Ann
