Mark Levin: Facts Show GOP Establishment 'Dumped All Over' Jolly
Republican Party leadership is celebrating this week's special election win by Florida Republican David Jolly, which kept the House seat in GOP hands and helped make a point that Obamacare is a key election issue in the fall.
But radio talk show host Mark Levin says party leadership is hypocritical. Prior to his unexpected win, party leaders were not so complimentary of Jolly in a story published by Politico last Friday, four days before polls opened.
National party officials thought Jolly was going to lose, so they went to Politico "and they dump all over this guy," Levin said Thursday on Fox News Channel's "Your World with Neil Cavuto."

The Left has been winning over the Right by spreading paranoia among the blacks about the hidden "racist" motivation of conservatives and Republicans. What will happen if the blacks find out that a major factor behind just about every "liberal" policy for the last 40 years has been the hidden racism of the white "progressive" Democrats?

A professor with Rochester Institute of Technology has called for the incarceration of any American who actively disagrees that climate change is solely caused by human activity.
Lawrence Torcello, a philosophy professor with a Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo, published the comments as part of an essay submitted to the academic website The Conversation.
Torcello argues that malignant individuals, who he does not identify, are collectively organising a “campaign funding misinformation” about climate change. Torcello goes on to suggest that such activity “ought to be considered criminally negligent.”

Six years earlier, New Mexico resident Elaine Huguenin, who runs a photography business, declined a request to photograph a commitment ceremony between two women. In doing so, Mrs. Huguenin broke no contract, violated no promise, and didn’t defraud anybody.
Like Darden, Mrs. Huguenin exercised her absolute property right as a business owner, which includes the unqualified freedom to accept or reject clients at her sole discretion. Darden was publicly praised for his decision. Huguenin was prosecuted.

Older Americans are bearing the brunt of President Obama's "broken promises" on healthcare — paying more and getting less because of the Affordable Care Act, Ohio Rep. Bill Johnson charged Saturday in the GOP weekly address.
Johnson said seniors who rely on the popular Medicare Advantage are getting hammered because of Obamacare, forced to shell out "higher premiums and out-of-pocket costs," and in many cases, losing access to their regular doctors.
"If the president won’t help us repeal this law in its entirety, he ought to step up here, do the right thing, and protect our seniors," Johnson urged. "And he ought to do this soon."

During his enslavement, he was called to Christianity and escaped his captors after six years. He returned to Ireland as a missionary, and in his teachings, combined Irish pagan beliefs with Christian sacrament, devising the Celtic Cross. He is annually honored on March 17.

Resume:
Ellendale, DE- The Delaware State Police are investigating an early afternoon crash that involved a train and a car.
The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. as Brandon A. Rudy was operating a 2013 Subaru Impreza eastbound on Main Street approaching the railroad tracks near Railroad Avenue. Rudy failed to stop for the crossing signal and entered into the path of a southbound Norfolk Southern train with three engines and 22 cars attached. The train struck the Impreza on the driver's side causing the vehicle to spin counter-clockwise and come to a stop on the east side of the tracks. The locomotive and its cars were able to come to a stop without derailment just south of Main Street.
Brandon Rudy, who was properly restrained, was partially entrapped in the vehicle and was extricated by Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company before being transported to Milford Memorial Hospital. He was later transferred to Christiana Medical Center where he is currently admitted in critical by stable condition.
None of the personnel on the train were injured in the collision.
Troopers are continuing their investigation into this incident. Traffic on Main Street was diverted to side streets for approximately an hour and a half as the crash was investigated and cleared.

The watermen, aboard three commercial boats, were charged with removing oysters from the Evans Harvest Reserve, a remote 69-acre site at the mouth of the Wicomico River and Tangier Sound.
“Our ongoing partnership with the Maryland State Police expands our patrol capabilities to more effectively deploy our resources. In this case, the helicopter allowed us to track the vessels as they worked in the reserve and keep them in sight until additional assistance arrived,” said Col. George F. Tomorrow's County Council Meeting LOADED With Goodies
Wicomico County has been represented by PKS, (Pig, Krahl & Stern) Auditing Firm for YEARS. I'm talking about well past the LANDFILL theft/fiasco. Yes, they are still on board.
This company will come up for yet another contract with the County at tomorrow's meeting. NOW you'll see just what kind of representatives you have on the County Council because after ALL of the questionable problems at the Landfill and the Board of Education, someone was asleep at the wheel and it took a State Auditor to find very serious issues with how funds were handled.
The first item on the agenda will be Councilwoman Stevie Prettyman's request to bring the raises of the Orphan Judges and Sheriff Lewis' raise. I'm not sure if the Council and Executive raises will be brought up as well. As I had stated in a comment the other day, I personally know Prettyman is well aware of the fact that Sheriff Lewis spends quite a bit of time away from the Sheriff's Department and has had a problem with that. Now, all of a sudden, he is worthy of a massive pay increase?
John Fredericksen will also be present tomorrow morning in an attempt to defend MANY of the issues brought to our attention through the state Audit.
The meeting starts at 10:00 AM and you have now been forewarned. If you truly want to make a difference, be there and voice your concerns. In the very least, be there to hear what each group has to say. I have the feeling the general public is finally going to see what this Council is made of and I don't think you are going to be very happy.

Homeland Security Conducts Unannounced School Lockdown Drill
The Department of Homeland Security is expanding its operations by running unannounced school lockdown drills, another sign of the federal agency’s encroachment into more areas of Americans’ lives.
“On Thursday, March 6, a team comprised of ten officials from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, and the NJ Department of Education’s Safety and Security Task Forces visited Glen Ridge High School to conduct an unannounced school lock-down drill,” reports Georgette Gilmore. “With the exception of Glen Ridge Superintendent Dr. John Mucciolo and Chief of Police Sheila Byron-Lagattutta, no Glen Ridge Public School personnel received advanced notice of the exercise.”

Wilmington- A DelDOT snowplow driver suffered a minor injury today after the plow he was driving on I-95 overturned.
The incident happened at 10:49 a.m. as Charles Purnell, 33, drove a 2004 Sterling dump truck on the right shoulder of northbound I-95, at the Airport Road exit. As he plowed the shoulder, the passenger-side tires of the vehicle entered a ditch on the side of the roadway, causing Purnell to lose control of the truck.
As the vehicle continued north while Purnell attempted to regain control, the plow struck the guardrail, and the vehicle overturned onto its passenger side.
Purnell was transported to Christiana Hospital by ambulance. He was treated for a minor injury and released. He was not cited.

But when I asked a young woman who lived nearby whether the pub was safe to check out later that evening, she refused to answer directly but repeatedly recommended I go to a bar down the street instead. Another neighbor later tells me by phone that he was almost jumped outside the bar once — he had spoken out when a drunk man flicked a cigarette into his chest as he rode his bicycle past— but makes me promise not to mention his name.
Yelp reviewers are less reticent: “I saw a bunch of regulars/locals beat up a few other guys just because they weren’t locals and therefore weren’t welcome,” wrote one woman last year. “I saw the bartender get involved and violently throw the non-locals out on the street. One guy was beat so bad he was taken away in an ambulance. It was truly horrific.”

“Despite January's preliminary jobs report from BLS indicating monthly losses, Maryland's economy continues to show signs of strength across a broad array of indicators, including driving down our unemployment rate to 5.8 percent, its lowest level since November 2008.
“Among the most important things a state can do to create jobs and build a strong middle class over the long-run is to ensure young people have access to a quality education. Maryland has had the #1 ranked public schools for five years in a row, according to Education Week Magazine, and we’ve done more than any other state in the nation since 2007-08 to hold down the cost of college.
“In addition, Maryland has been ranked the #1 state in the nation for innovation and entrepreneurship for two years in a row by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, we moved more Marylanders from welfare to work last year than at any time in our state’s history, we’re a national leader in creating green jobs, and we’re one of the top three states in the country for upward economic mobility according to Pew Center for the States.

Americans rising up against oppressive government, says university law professor
If the current state of politics in America has taught most of us anything, it is this: The United States is no longer governed by “citizen legislators” who serve a couple of terms out of civic duty and return to the private sector but rather a professional political class that has established itself as a sort of aristocracy, passing laws and making rules that apply to the masses but not to the governing elite.
That’s not simply this writer’s opinion, but a growing perception among many Americans and academics. In a recent column for USA Today, Glenn Harlan Reynolds, a University of Tennessee law professor, documents some of the most recent pushbacks by citizens and concerned citizen groups against several policy plans, government initiatives and laws passed or implemented by the federal government and some states.
The resistance is growing
“America’s ruling class has been experiencing more pushback than usual lately. It just might be a harbinger of things to come,” he writes. Consider:
America just says ‘no’ to national surveillance system. In mid-February, in response to widespread protests, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shelved plans (for now) to develop a national license plate database. Without any regard to the Fourth Amendment’s “probable cause” provision, DHS higher-ups, in approving such a plan, essentially presumed that every driving American is potentially guilty of something and, as such, should be monitored every time they leave their driveways.

Make no mistake, “software substitution” is a fancy way of saying software automation — as in “bots” and whatnot. Many of the jobs that could be eliminated are lower skill occupations.
“Software substitution, whether it’s for drivers or waiters or nurses … it’s progressing,” Gates said. “Technology over time will reduce demand for jobs, particularly at the lower end of skill set. … 20 years from now, labor demand for lots of skill sets will be substantially lower. I don’t think people have that in their mental model.”

The Project on Government Oversight revealed that there were 650 cases of mostly "reckless" or "intentional" infractions from 2002 to 2013, including one incident in which a prosecutor actually had a "close personal relationship" with a defendant.

There is likely to be yet another crisis for the uninsured come April Fool’s Day: They will be barred by law from buying health insurance until the next “open season,” which will begin in October. That is, unless President Obama unilaterally disregards the clear text and purpose of his health care law—a pattern we’ve seen many times—and extends the March 31 enrollment deadline.
I’d put the chances of that enrollment extension at about 75 percent.
Before Democrats “fixed” the health insurance marketplace, people buying their own coverage in the individual market could do so any time of the year. In addition, if a person had purchased coverage but decided he or she didn’t like dealing with that insurer or the network of doctors, or whatever, that individual could cancel the policy and buy a different one—again, any time during the year.

A Letter To The Editor:County Goverment In Disaray
Mr Albero Having been an avid watcher of our local goverments for the past twenty years or so I must say this week has been most interesting.
The recent audit of the BOE and the recall to vote on the raises again by the County Council has prompted me to respond with this post.
First lets step back to the last budget that was passed by the Wicomico County Council, Mr Pollitts office presented a budget that was by all accounts over the top as far as spending goes, this budget also increased property taxes. Four council members voted for the budget Matt Holloway, John Hall. Stevie Prettyman and Sherre Sample- Hughes, three council members voted against the budget Bob Culver, Joe Holloway and Gail Barkovitch.
Warnings were given in public hearings and expressed by some council members about the increased spending and the increase in taxes due to the poor economy. The best argument against the budget was given by John Hall who then voted for the budget.
Four weeks ago Mr. Pollitts office reveiled that the county was going to be 3.7 million short which prompted a transfer from the roads dept. As the county roads are already falling apart this money will now be used in the general fund. At the same meeting the council rejected moving forward with giving raises to Mr. Pollitt, Mike Lewis and the county council. That vote was one of the smartest moves the council had taken in a long time. However now one has to question the leadership of the council or better yet question who is really in charge.
Will Pollitt's office step up and claim times are looking up again so the raises will move forward ? What debt is owed to those recieving these increases by the council members that are bringing forward the vote again?
The judges of orphans court increases are also being reconsidered however no one has ever mentioned that one of the judge's is Pollitt's first cousin. All of these are elected positions and there are canadates running for these seats.
The BOE is another story, every year the County Council has increased funding over MOE for the school system dispite warnings from citizens and some council members that spending was out of control. The audit reveiled gross over spending and mismanagement, threats have been made to discontinue programs if increased funding was not provided yet the abuse goes on. So now that the BOE has been exposed, what will be the action of the county council will they have the backbone to stand up to the mighty BOE and Pollitt or continue to hand out the taxpayers dollars with no questions asked.
You have to admire the council members that have the fortitude to ask the tough questions and say no .

Austin police said a rapper with a criminal history “intentionally” drove into a crowd Thursday morning at the South by Southwest festival, killing two people, MyFoxDFW.com reported.
Rashad Owens, 21, who police say was behind the wheel, was charged with capital murder Friday, and other charges may follow. A district judge Friday set bail for Rashad Charjuan Owens at $3 million. He remains jailed.

Guinness Pulls Sponsorship Of New York St. Patrick's Day Parade
The makers of the popular Irish beer announced over the weekend that they had pulled their sponsorship of the parade due to organizers' longstanding rule against gay and lesbian groups marching openly.
"Guinness has a strong history of supporting diversity and being an advocate for equality for all,” the company said in a statement posted on the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation website Sunday. "We were hopeful that the policy of exclusion would be reversed for this year’s parade. As this has not come to pass, Guinness has withdrawn its participation. We will continue to work with community leaders to ensure that future parades have an inclusionary policy."
The move by Guinness follows similar moves by fellow beer companies Heineken and Sam Adams, the latter of which pulled its sponsorship from Sunday's parade in the traditional Irish stronghold of South Boston. The decision also left Ford Motor Company as the only major U.S. company sponsoring the New York City parade, which dates back to 1762.

I voted to ban speed cameras. There have been too many problems with the speed cameras and it looks like a program put in place to raise money from tickets and not about safety. If this is about safety, let's put law enforcement in place.

The father of his grandchildren stays four days a week to help take care of the family, and on the weekends four of the patriarch’s other children — he has 18 by 10 women, which he excuses as having “made some mistakes” — stay with them. One of the rooms in the current house is moldy.

New Abortion Deadline Proposed In Bill That Has Little Chance Of Success
Legislation titled the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, SB 34, sponsored by Sen. Ed Reilly dictates that after 20 weeks into a pregnancy, a physician would not be permitted to induce an abortion, except in cases of medical emergency. The 20-week cut off was determined by the bill’s proponents, who provided data that says the fetus develops pain receptors by that date.
Reilly said he anticipates there will not be a committee vote for the bill, though he said members of the Senate Finance Committee were respectful of the bill when they heard it Wednesday.

The list is limited to vehicles with at least three years of data, and specific issues aren’t mentioned.

Week Eleven: Crossover Day, Then Hearings

Monday is known as "Crossover Day" where lawmakers have to pass bills in at least one chamber, if those bills have any chance of getting to the governor's desk. Bills can still be introduced after Monday, but lawmakers would have to vote to suspend their rules.
Lawmakers normally convene at 8 p.m. on Mondays, with committee hearings held earlier in the afternoon.
The Senate will convene at 7 p.m. Senate President Mike Miller says senators have finished much of their work until now, and so Monday's session will begin with a ceremony to mark St. Patrick's Day, and then senators will begin their work.

Self-penned obituary earns Korean War vet last laugh from grave
A Korean War veteran who wrote his own heart-warming and hilarious obituary now gone viral gave himself a perfect sendoff, one of his grandchildren told FoxNews.com.
Walter George Bruhl Jr., of Delaware, who died at early Sunday at 80, in Florida, poked fun at society, his wife and most of all himself in the 679-word obituary, originally posted online by his grandson, Sam, last week after Bruhl's family discovered it. In the first line, Bruhl aptly describes himself as "a dead person," and goes on to note his wife of 57 years, Helene, will “now be able to purchase the mink coat” he always denied her because “only minks should wear mink.”
Bruhl’s granddaughter, Kalla, said the obituary was vintage Walter Bruhl.

The Attorney General of Pennsylvania shut down an investigation of corrupt elected officials because everyone they caught — on tape — taking cash and gifts was black.
The Philadelphia Inquirer broke the story on Sunday. The sting operation began with a deal: If a black lobbyist accused of fraud would offer elected officials — black and white, Democrat and Republican — cash and gifts in exchange for votes, the prosecutors would drop charges against him.
So that is what he did over a three-year period.

Wicomico & Worcester Schools closed.
The list is so long, (closing wise) we'd probably be better off just listing what's left open. That being said, I'd say it's pretty safe to just figure most everything is closed when it comes to schools here on the Shore. Prove me wrong.

Citizens in at least seven states are promoting secessions movements, looking to escape big-city tax and gun control policies. In fact, several counties in Colorado already voted for secession.

Bergener’s group has found a unique way that New York can be split into two regions that won’t even require approval from the US Congress. It wouldn’t even technically be a new state.
