‘Hold On, They Got a White Dude’ in Memphis

“Hold on, they got a white dude.” And it sure seemed like fun — if the laughing and shrieking on this latest video of black mob violence is any indication.

This racial mayhem happenedSaturday night in Memphis at a Kroger’s department store. WMCA Channel 5 out of Jackson, Mississippi picks up the story, all of it except the central organizing feature of the violence: All of the hundreds of people involved in the mayhem and violence are black. Except the victims. They are white:

“Three people were jumped by a large group of teenagers who were chanting ‘fam mob.’” The group, who came from CiCi’s Pizza, reportedly attacked a 25-year-old customer as he left his car to enter Kroger. Two employees, ages 17 and 18, were attacked while trying to stop the fight. Both were “struck several times in the head and face, while being knocked to the ground.” The victims say large pumpkins were thrown at their heads. They both eventually were knocked unconscious.”

The ‘Shocking’ Action a Small Business Owner Said a Florida City Is Demanding He Take: ‘This Is a Shock. Honestly, I Feel Like This Is Russia’

A Florida small business owner said Monday the city of Ocala has threatened to fine him if he does not immediately take down a Gadsden flag currently displayed outside his store.

Gear Barrel owner Keith Greenberg told TheBlaze that the city said he was permitted to fly the American flag outside his store, but prohibited from displaying anything else outside his business which specializes in selling knives.

“This is a shock,” he said. “Honestly, I feel like this is Russia. I’ve been around the world … this is what you expect in really closed countries where there is no freedom of expression. Not here — so it’s shocking.”

Serve and Protect is Now "Search and Destroy"

Anyone who has been paying attention is aware that we have a growing domestic terrorism problem here in America.

And by domestic terrorism, I mean our militarized police departments.

Here’s how the FBI defines domestic terrorism, from their website:

“Domestic terrorism” means activities with the following three characteristics:
Involve acts dangerous to human life that violate federal or state law;
Appear intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;
Occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S.

Indeed, uniformed thugs police officers kill more Americans every year than terrorists do. In fact, we are eight times more likely to be killed by a cop than by a “terrorist.”

Teacher pleads guilty to giving middle schooler ‘full contact’ lap dance during class

ALDINE, Texas – A middle school teacher has pleaded guilty to giving a student a “full contact” lap dance during class while students looked on.

Felicia SmithFelicia Smith, a teacher at Stovall Middle School near Houston, was busted after cell phone video of incident surfaced. She “will spend three years on probation after admitting to the felony of having an improper relationship with a student,” according to the Houston Chronicle.

She reportedly is still licensed to teach in the state of Texas, though that is “currently under review.”

The circumstances of the case are shocking. The Smoking Gun reports:

When the boy entered her classroom, Smith “grabbed a chair and placed it next to her desk,” investigators reported. With music playing, Smith sat on the teen’s lap “with her buttocks making contact with his penis while she began to move back and forth.” Smith also “fondled him with her hands by touching him all over his body.” Cops noted that the assorted contact caused the boy to “have an erected penis.”

Most Analysts See GOP Winning Senate

Many independent analysts now predict that Republicans will take over the Senate in the midterm elections, but not by a huge margin.

Recent predictions from analysts who study congressional elections put the GOP gain at either six or seven seats. It would take six wins to give the Republicans a 51-seat majority.

(At 50 seats, Vice President Joe Biden would cast a deciding vote for the Democrats.)

Here's a look at the predictions, from lowest to highest:

The Washington Post's Election Lab gives Republicans a 52 percent chance of taking over the Senate, which would require a gain of six seats.

Huffington Post gives Republicans a 52 percent chance of taking control of the Senate.

Milk Costs Most Ever to Signal Higher Prices for Pizza

Milk futures rose to a record as exports by the U.S. climbed amid shrinking inventories of cheese and butter, signaling higher costs for pizza and pastries.

The U.S. shipped a record 17 percent of milk production in the first half, according to Alan Levitt, a spokesman at the U.S. Dairy Export Council. Cheese stockpiles in July dropped 8 percent from a year earlier, and butter supplies tumbled 42 percent, the Department of Agriculture said last month. U.S. dairy costs are higher than world prices, signaling imports will increase, said Jon Spainhour, a partner at Rice Dairy LLC.

“Usually, we use the first six months of the year to build the inventory we’re going to sell in the last six months,” Spainhour said in a telephone interview from Chicago. “People are saying that ‘I know those imports are coming in, but in the meantime, I’ve got to make sure I’ve got enough to get on the supermarket shelf.’ ”

Prince George's County official: Family violence is killing us

"Fifty percent of our homicides this year have been related to family violence."

That's the stark reality that Prince George's County State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks says her office is seeing. From the case of now-former Ravens football player Ray Rice to the recent deaths of two toddlers -- allegedly killed by their mother -- Alsobrooks says family violence is "is killing us, literally killing us."

Weeks after she stood in the neighborhood where a 3-year-old was killed by her own father as he fled from police, and announced an effort to involve the faith-based community in working with families, Alsobrooks has renewed a call for a more comprehensive approach to domestic and family violence.

Ebola Spreading 'Exponentially' as Patients Seek Beds in Liberia

The Ebola virus is spreading exponentially across Liberia as patients fill taxis in a fruitless search for medical care, the World Health Organization said Monday.

In Sierra Leone, a doctor working for WHO tested positive and was preparing to be evacuated from the country. Meanwhile, the newest U.S. patient, a doctor infected in Liberia, was feeling a little better and could even eat a little, doctors treating him in Nebraska said.

The various reports illustrated in the clearest possible way the disparities driving the epidemic in West Africa, where there’s almost no medical system structure. The three patients evacuated to the United States have all begun to recover quickly once they get good supportive care, which includes around-the-clock nursing care and good nutrition.

Obama’s Untruth, Inc.

Let us count the ways: bald lies, lies of omission, mythography, amnesia, redaction . . .

We can usefully view the Obama administration’s chronic untruthfulness as a sort of multifaceted corporation of untruth, with all sorts of subsidiaries.

THE BALD LIES OF POLITICAL EXPEDIENCY

Remember the al-Qaeda-is-on-the-run 2012-election talking point? It was mostly a lie. The administration deliberately released to sympathetic journalists only those documents from the so-called Osama bin Laden trove that revealed worry and dissension among the terrorists. Then it nourished essays by pet journalists trumpeting the decline of al-Qaeda. Disturbing memos that confounded that narrative, as Weekly Standard journalist Steven F. Hayes recently noted, were kept back. “On the run” was dropped after the 2012 election, when events on the ground made such an assertion absurd.

Americans fret about mystery virus and illegal kids

Limbaugh: Is illness tied to Obama's release of immigrant children all over U.S.?

Just weeks after the Obama administration let more than 37,000 illegal-alien children into the U.S. without health screening, more than 1,000 kids across 10 states have been stricken with a respiratory virus – prompting widespread concerns about a major outbreak sweeping across the nation.

On his Monday show, talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh explored the possibility of a link between the flood of illegal aliens and the spread of a severe and rare respiratory virus known as Enterovirus D68, or EV-D68.

“Obama will not tell anybody where all of the children that have crossed the border in the last four months have been relocated to,” Limbaugh said.

“There are a bunch of people who want to know. We had these kids cross the border from El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, wherever they came from in Central America, and they were processed real quickly. They were gotten in, gotten out, and they’ve been distributed all over the country. And Obama won’t tell anybody where he put ‘em. … The regime will not announce where they are.”

Politically Correct Farming

by Delegate Mike McDermott

I was so delighted to see that LT. Governor Brown found his way to the Eastern Shore today to have a “Round Table Discussion” with some farmers. Perhaps the most interesting item on the agenda was the one that did not get listed.

There was no discussion from Brown about the pending Phosphorus Management Tool (PMT) that hangs over the Eastern Shore economy like a looming sledge hammer. Oh there was plenty of talk about government subsidies that are doled out to “encourage” (I think the word should be “force”) our farmers to comply with a host of new regulations heaped upon them by the O’Malley-Brown administration during the past 8 years.

It comes as no surprise that Brown does not wish to discuss the implementation of a tool that will eliminate vast swaths of land from receiving poultry litter. He would not want to face questions about forcing farmers to spend tens of thousands of dollars on chemical fertilizers and thousands more to truck away natures organic fertilizer (no one really knows the “where’s or what’s” of that plan let alone the price tag).

I guess the destruction of the economy of the Eastern Shore is simply not that important for Maryland’s number two man to address.

Farmer’s have always been the first conservationists, even though they are often the last one to get called to a “Round Table Discussion” when policy is being crafted. Those “Round Tables” are reserved for election years. Ask any farmer about fixing the Bay and they will first point to the Conowingo Dam. The next point will be to the metro core area septic plants. They would also point out that the farming community is way ahead of the mandated time lines already placed upon them by the government.

The fact is, we do not need any further mandates on the shore. We need action in the areas that are creating the problem! The areas of the Bay which receive the best environmental scores are those adjacent to the Eastern Shore; and they rest next to the shore county (Somerset) that has the highest number of poultry operations in Maryland. Go figure!

Our water does not travel from lower shore rivers into the upper Bay regions, rather it moves toward the Atlantic. In spite of the obvious, farmers are an easy lot to blame; and politicians often do so with food in their mouths.

The lead scientist, Dr. Joshua McGrath, who was studying phosphorus and was preparing to make PMT recommendations made it clear to me that they were not sure whether phosphorus was bound up in the soil or how fast it moved. He advised me that it could take 50 years for any phosphorus to migrate from a farm field into a waterway. If that is so, any phosphorus we are dealing with today in the Bay was being introduced in the 1950’s and 60’s. This was long before the poultry industry would grow to what it is today. Farming back then does not look like it does today.

Dr. McGrath wanted more time to complete his study before making recommendations. He was sharply rebuked for discussing the need for more time with elected officials, and some of his comments and preliminary findings on phosphorus movement in the soil were not well received by those who would prefer to apply political science when it comes to agriculture.

The State of Delaware has been more prudent in this regard giving themselves over twice as much time to complete the needed study before suggesting any changes to the application of poultry litter on their fields. Maryland is on the fast track and those regulations will be implemented before 2015 arrives.

Wise Dr. McGrath made a quick exit from the scene shortly after the candid discussions he had with myself, Senator Colburn, Delegate Conway, and Delegate Otto in Annapolis. In his case, the grass was greener in another university system far removed from Maryland politics. Just a crazy coincidence I’m sure.

There is a reason the former Soviet Union had political officers embedded in all of their military units and in every aspect of government provided services. The party line and political agenda trumped everything else.

It is high time we gave the boot to the political officers that occupy every branch of Maryland State government. We must demand legitimate, vetted science be the purpose and reason behind any changes to our policies as they relate to agriculture and our environment. We need leaders who will not base their decisions on political science or crony capitalism.

These types of changes have support in the House of Delegates, but they were rejected in the Senate.

It is time to plow the hardpan ground we call “Annapolis” and sow better seed for our future.

Marylanders...Take Back Your State!

Small Business Ownership In America Is At An All-Time

According to the Federal Reserve, the percentage of American families that own a small business is at the lowest level that has ever been recorded. In a report that was just released entitled “Changes in U.S. Family Finances from 2010 to 2013: Evidence from the Survey of Consumer Finances“, the Federal Reserve revealed that small business ownership in America “fell substantially” between 2010 and 2013. Even in the midst of this so-called “economic recovery”, small business ownership in America has now fallen to an all-time low. If the economy truly was healthy, this would not be happening. And it isn’t as if Americans are flooding the labor market either. As I detailed yesterday, the labor force participation rate in this country is at a 36 year low. That would not be happening if the economy was actually healthy either. The truth is that the middle class in America is dying, and this new report from the Federal Reserve is more evidence of this very harsh reality.

In order to build wealth, middle class Americans either need to have their own businesses or they need good jobs. Sadly, the percentage of Americans that own a business continues to decline steadily. In the report that I mentioned above, the Federal Reserve says that the proportion of U.S. families that have an ownership interest in a small business fell from 13.3 percent in 2010 to a brand new all-time low of 11.7 percent in 2013.

Ron Paul: Nixon's Vindication

Forty years ago many Americans celebrated the demise of the imperial presidency with the resignation of Richard Nixon. Today it is clear they celebrated too soon. Nixon’s view of presidential powers, summed up in his infamous statement that, “when the president does it that means it is not illegal,” is embraced by the majority of the political class. In fact, the last two presidents have abused their power in ways that would have made Nixon blush.

For example, Nixon’s abuse of the Internal Revenue Service to persecute his political opponents was the subject of one of the articles of impeachment passed by the US House of Representatives. As bad as Nixon’s abuse of the IRS was, he was hardly the first president to use the IRS this way, and the present administration seems to be continuing this tradition. The targeting of Tea Party groups has received the most attention, but it is not the only instance of the IRS harassing President Barack Obama’s political opponents. For example, the IRS has demanded that one of my organizations, Campaign for Liberty, hand over information regarding its major donors.

Precious Parker Fights White People Moving into Building at Gunpoint

Isn’t that just precious?

Precious Parker, 30, and Sabrina James, 23, knocked on the door of an apartment building on Ocean Ave. near Newkirk Ave. in Flatbush at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday and held a 34-year-old man, a 37-year-old man, and a 25-year-old woman at gunpoint demanding they move out or be killed, police said.

The source added the trio may have been targeted because of their race, as one of the women said she didn’t like “that white people were moving into the area,” the police source said.

The women then stole $800, an iPhone and personal information from the tenants, police said.

Precious Parker, 30, allegedly forced the three roommates who lived in the Flatbush apartment to the floor at gunpoint on Sept. 4, and after robbing them said, “If you call the police or management company, I’ll pick five people off each of your phones and kill them and if you’re not out of here in 24 hours, five guys will come back and kill you all,” according to court papers.

“There was a dispute over who was supposed to be renting that apartment,” Parker defense attorney Danielle Korotzer said at the Brooklyn criminal court arraignment.

“My client did not believe the complainants should be in the apartment.”

I assume Holder will be down shortly to protect her civil rights.

Senate Advances Constitutional Amendment On Campaign Finance

The Senate voted Monday to begin debate on an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would grant Congress and the states the power to regulate campaign finance.

The measure cleared a procedural hurdle by a vote of 79-18. It was authored by Democrats, who had anticipated it would be blocked by GOP opposition. But Republicans voted to move ahead with debate, turning what was supposed to be a Democratic messaging bill against the Democrats.

Now, the Senate will face hours of debate on a measure that will likely make it harder for Democrats to take up other important measures in the few days left of the session. Republicans will likely vote against final passage, which would require a two-thirds majority, or 67 votes. Democrats control 55 votes.

Healthcare Spending Is About to Soar

The bill is coming due for Obamacare and it's a whopper. According to Medicare's own actuaries, U.S. healthcare spending is about to rocket.

Federal meddling in what was once the finest and most cost-effective healthcare system on the planet is nothing new.

Back in the 1960s, many Americans paid for doctor and hospital services out of pocket or through modestly priced private insurance. Healthcare spending was approximately 6 percent of GDP.

Enter President Johnson and Medicare. He bought millions of votes by giving seniors free healthcare that they never paid for through payroll taxes during their working years. Although insidious, he helped lay the foundations for the entitlement state with Medicaid. The latter, first conceived to help poor children, has been gradually expanded to include many working families.

Twelve states have contacted the CDC for assistance in investigating clusters of enterovirus: Alabama, Colorado, Michigan, Georgia, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky and Utah. Four -- Colorado, Illinois, Missouri and Iowa -- have confirmed cases of Enterovirus D68, also known as EV-D68.

Unemployed More Likely to Go Shopping on Average Day Than Look for Job

On the average day, an unemployed American is more likely to be shopping—for things other than groceries and gas—than to be looking for a new job, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Only 18.9 percent of Americans who were unemployed (in surveys conducted from 2009 through 2013) spent time in job search and interviewing activities on an average day, according to BLS. Yet 40.8 percent of the unemployed did some kind of shopping on the average day–either in a store, by telephone, or on the Internet. 22.5 percent of the unemployed, according to BLS, were shopping for items other than groceries, food and gas.

How Empires End

“Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.” – Thomas Jefferson

Histories are generally written by academics. They, quite naturally, tend to focus on the main events: the wars and the struggles between leaders and their opponents (both external and internal). Whilst these are interesting stories to read, academics, by their very nature, often overlook the underlying causes for an empire’s decline.

Today, as in any era, most people are primarily interested in the “news”—the daily information regarding the world’s political leaders and their struggles with one another to obtain, retain, and expand their power. When the history is written about the era we are passing through, it will reflect, in large measure, a rehash of the news. As the media of the day tend to overlook the fact that present events are merely symptoms of an overall decline, so historians tend to focus on major events, rather than the “slow operations” that have been the underlying causes.

Proof That $15 Minimum Wage Hurts Those It’s Claimed to Help

Despite the fact that the new law impacts only about 1,600 employees in this town of 27,000, major changes and shifts were already taking place in reaction to it.

For example, a customer using the Master Park Airport valet parking service at SeaTac will note an extra line on his bill for $.50 entitled “living-wage surcharge.” In December the 215-room Clarion Hotel closed its full-service restaurant, laying off 15 people. The hotel also terminated the employment of a night desk clerk and a maintenance employee, and according to general manager Harry Wall, the hotel was considering a 10-percent increase in room rates just in time for spring visitors. Wall said that without this reduction in workforce, the hotel’s annual payroll costs would have increased by $300,000 thanks to the new minimum-wage law.

WallyPark, an airport parking services that employs about 80 people at three different locations in SeaTac, is being flooded with applications from people outside the city looking to take advantage of the new law, claimed Homer Ignacio, the assistant manager. As these new applicants are interviewed, Ignacio will be faced with the prospect of being able to hire more highly skilled workers and pay them what he is paying some of his current less-skilled employees. Those present employees face the threat of having their jobs being taken away by a new employee.

‘ISIS to outlast Obama’s presidency’: Military campaign to destroy terror group could take years, senior U.S. officials warn

A campaign aimed at destroying the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq could outlast Barack Obama’s presidency, senior officials have warned.

It comes as it was revealed that a three-step strategy is being planned in a bid to overthrow the militants in a campaign that could last up to three years.

The first step is already underway and has involved dozens of airstrikes in the past month as part of moves to protect U.S. personnel and ethnic minorities and halting ISIS progress in parts of western and northern Iraq.

Hogan campaign alleges Brown violating election laws

Filings indicate illegal coordination between Brown, Ulman and state Super PAC.

ANNAPOLIS, MD –
In a complaint filed with the Maryland State Board of Elections, the Hogan for Governor campaign alleges illegal fundraising coordination between the political campaigns of Anthony Brown, Ken Ulman and a secretive state Super PAC supporting their gubernatorial bids.

State regulations expressly prohibit political campaigns from coordinating their fundraising activities and strategy with outside super PACs. Yet official filings by Friends of Anthony Brown (Brown’s campaign for governor), running mate Ken Ulman’s political committee, and “One State, One Future PAC,” a Super PAC supporting Brown’s bid for governor all share the same fundraising consultants, Colleen Martin-Lauer and Susan Smith-Bauk. (State Board of Elections regulation on “Coordination and Cooperation)

“There couldn’t be a more blatant example of illegal coordination,” said Hogan campaign manager Steve Crim. “With immediate and full knowledge of all donor activities, it is simply impossible for Martin-Lauer and Smith-Bauk to not coordinate the fundraising efforts of their three clients,” Crim said.

In their complaint to the State Board of Elections, the Hogan campaign outlined clear evidence that proves these entities engaged in "inappropriate coordination and cooperation of campaign activities in contravention of Maryland Election Law."

According to Crim, "This is just the latest example that Anthony Brown and the Annapolis political machine will do anything to maintain their one-party stranglehold on Maryland. With less than 60 days to go before Election Day, we are calling for the State Board of Elections to act immediately on our complaint and take any action necessary to protect the integrity of the democratic process.”

In their letter to State Board of Elections Director Jared DeMarinis, the Hogan campaign states, "It is our belief and understanding of the letter and the spirit of the 'no coordination' requirement that it has been put in place to preclude activity similar to that undertaken by the commonly retained fund raiser for Friends of Anthony Brown and One State, One Future PAC. A fundraising coordinator working for multiple entities is implicitly acting in a 'coordinated' fashion because of such an individual's unique knowledge concerning the contribution limits encountered by potential and existing contributors."

In June, “Daily Record” reporter Bryan Sears highlighted activities reported in campaign finance reports that raised questions about whether inappropriate activity coordination occurred between the PAC and the campaign organization. The Hogan campaign asserts that, "it is clear from that report that One State and Friends share 'consultants and other third party vendors' expressly for the purpose of coordinating activities to further the Anthony Brown gubernatorial campaign."

If The Economy Is Recovering, Why Is The Labor Force Participation Rate At A 36 Year Low?

Should we be concerned that the percentage of Americans that are either working or looking for work is the lowest that it has been in 36 years?

Should we be concerned that the percentage of Americans that are either working or looking for work is the lowest that it has been in 36 years? In August, an all-time record high 92,269,000 Americans 16 years of age and older did not “participate in the labor force”. And when you throw in the people that are considered to be “in the labor force” but are not currently employed, that pushes the total of working age Americans that do not have jobs to well over 100 million. Yes, it may be hard to believe, but there are more than 100 million working age Americans that are not employed right now. Needless to say, this is not a sign of a healthy economy, and it is a huge reason why dependence on the government has soared to absolutely unprecedented levels. When people can’t take care of themselves, they need someone else to take care of them. If the percentage of people in the labor force continues to decline like it has been, what is that going to mean for the future of our society?

The chart below shows the changes in the civilian labor force participation rate since 1980. As you can see, the rate steadily rose between 1980 and 2000, but since then it has generally been declining. In particular, this decline has greatly accelerated since the beginning of the last recession…

Stop and seize

Aggressive police take hundreds of millions of dollars from motorists not charged with crimes

The Post found:
  • There have been 61,998 cash seizures made on highways and elsewhere since 9/11 without search warrants or indictments through the Equitable Sharing Program, totaling more than $2.5 billion. State and local authorities kept more than $1.7 billion of that while Justice, Homeland Security and other federal agencies received $800 million. Half of the seizures were below $8,800.
  • Only a sixth of the seizures were legally challenged, in part because of the costs of legal action against the government. But in 41 percent of cases — 4,455 — where there was a challenge, the government agreed to return money. The appeals process took more than a year in 40 percent of those cases and often required owners of the cash to sign agreements not to sue police over the seizures.
  • Hundreds of state and local departments and drug task forces appear to rely on seized cash, despite a federal ban on the money to pay salaries or otherwise support budgets. The Post found that 298 departments and 210 task forces have seized the equivalent of 20 percent or more of their annual budgets since 2008.
  • Agencies with police known to be participating in the Black Asphalt intelligence network have seen a 32 percent jump in seizures beginning in 2005, three times the rate of other police departments. Desert Snow-trained officers reported more than $427 million in cash seizures during highway stops in just one five-year period, according to company officials. More than 25,000 police have belonged to Black Asphalt, company officials said.
  • State law enforcement officials in Iowa and Kansas prohibited the use of the Black Asphalt network because of concerns that it might not be a legal law enforcement tool. A federal prosecutor in Nebraska warned that Black Asphalt reports could violate laws governing civil liberties, the handling of sensitive law enforcement information and the disclosure of pretrial information to defendants. But officials at Justice and Homeland Security continued to use it.

Chesapeake Bay, EPA and agriculture

In late July, Washington Post reporter Darryl Fears wrote an article, “Alarming ‘dead zone’ grows in Chesapeake” (http://tinyurl.com/kjrktvo), that summarized the concern of Virginia and Maryland officials who “said the expanding area of oxygen-starved water is on track to become the bay’s largest ever.”

A dead zone is created when excess nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus enter a waterway in quantities sufficient to lead to the rapid growth of algae, competing with other aquatic life for the available oxygen. As Fears puts it, “dead zones suck out oxygen from deep waters and kill any marine life that can’t get out of the way.”

The water quality problems in the Chesapeake Bay have a long history. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) June 2014 Economic Research Report Number 166, “An Economic Assessment of Policy Options To Reduce Agricultural Pollutants in the Chesapeake Bay” (http://tinyurl.com/p6ejayv) by Marc Ribaudo, Jeffrey Savage, and Marcel Aillery, the situation in 1976 was such that “Congress directed the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to undertake a comprehensive study of the Bay’s condition and what measures would be necessary to restore it to its former health.”

'No boots on the ground as we battle Isis'

Pledge from Kerry as he calls for Britain and other Nato countries to commit to air strikes

U.S. President Barack Obama declared on Friday that his government is 'going to achieve our goal' in the continuing fight against ISIS, predicting that 'we are going to degrade, and ultimately destroy' the terror group 'in the same way we've gone after al-Qaeda.'

But he insisted that a 'developing strategy' will not require action from American soldiers in Syria, where ISIS has its strongest presence.

'We will not be placing U.S. ground troops to try to control the areas that are part of the conflict in Syria,' Obama said during a press conference following a NATO summit in Wales. 'I don't think that's necessary to accomplish our goal. ... The moderate coalition there is something that we can work with .... they have been to some degree outgunned and outmanned, and that's why it's important for us to work with our friends and allies to support them more effectively.'

NATO, Obama said, had agreed during the conference to provide 'security and humanitarian assistance to those who are on the front lines.'

Obama Appointees Vacate Major Anti-Obamacare Ruling

President Obama’s appointees to the D.C. Circuit Court will get to re-hear a major Obamacare challenge, after a three-judge panel of the court heard the case and ruled against the administration.

A majority of the judges on the court voted to re-hear the Halbig case, which pertains to whether subsidies can be provided to people who purchase insurance through the federal Obamacare exchanges. Accordingly, a D.C. Circuit panel’s decision that the federal exchange participants are not eligible for subsidies will “be vacated.”

Obama was able to secure a majority of Democratically appointed judges on the court, which is regarded as the most important court in the country next to the Supreme Court, after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) pulled the trigger on the nuclear option in the Senate to prevent Republicans from filibustering Obama’s judicial nominees.

“Reid’s power play over Republican opposition in December led to the seating of three Democratic judges on the federal appeals court circuit that serves the District of Columbia,” CNBC suggested the day after the three-judge panel ruled againstObamacare. “The Obama administration is now banking on a Democratic majority created by those judges to help overturn a stunning ruling that threatens a key leg of the Affordable Care Act.”

The "Hot-Crazy Matrix"

Earlier this week someone sent me one of the best YouTube videos I have ever seen. I realize that’s a strong statement given all the goodness YouTube has to offer, but trust me on this one.

This video is not only laugh-out-loud funny, it’s also informative. The clip I’m talking about features an instructor explaining the “Hot-Crazy Matrix” for dating women.

You would be correct in assuming that I don’t have any experience dating women (much to the dismay of this website’s founding editor), but I am a woman, and so I would like to offer my insight on said matrix.

If you’re too lazy or don’t have time to watch the video (it is seven minutes long) then I’ll give you a quick summary: The lesson is all about determining how much crazy a man should tolerate in a relationship, and how this threshold should be based on how hot the woman is. As a woman, I have absolutely no problem with this line of thinking.

Why, you might ask? Because everything in life is about trade-offs and relationships are not immune from such pragmatism.

Illegal Aliens “Shouldn’t have to look over thier shoulders” – Obama

Obama. Really, even you are smarter that this BS you are trying to pass off. Your “executive amnesty” is absolutely unconstitutional. People who invade our country should be sent back – and forever banned. More from the article here:

Perhaps signaling that he will soon enact executive actions to ease even more deportations, President Barack Obama said on Friday that illegal immigrants should not have to “look over their shoulder” while in the country illegally.

At a press conference at the NATO Summit in Wales, Obama said he would act “fairly soon” on executive amnesty after going over proposals and recommendations that Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and Attorney General Eric Holder have provided him.

Obama said that in the “absence of congressional action,” he intends to “take action” to increase resources on the border, upgrade “how we process these cases and that we find a way to encourage legal immigration and give people some path so they can start paying taxes, pay a fine, and learn English.” He asserted that it is important that they not have to “look over their shoulder but be legal since they’ve been living here for quite some time.”
