Poker Le PEW!
Michael Wax, a limo owner, and frequent gambler at Borgata Hotel & Casino , was approached in the restroom by casino staff and informed that other players at his poker table had made complaints to management about how Wax smelled.
Wax, who also weighs in at a robust 440 lbs, admits that he did stink because he had been playing poker for SEVENTEEN straight hours and didn't have a chance to get home and bathe.Ummmm, Mr.Wax has more pressing problems than personal hygiene if he is gambling over two-thirds of a day away but I digress. He maintains that he asked for a free room to "freshen up" and was denied. He actually expected them to comp him a room!
Anyhow when he returned to his table, he was denied a seat and now he has not only filed a comlaint but he has said he wants an apology because they told him he stank in front of people.Borgata spokespersons would not comment on the matter.
Am I alone or does this guy need Gamblers Anonymous as bad as he needs a bath?

on a side note...when it first occured the sheriff department wanted to help and spd would not give them any info about what they were looking for.
Gregory Wallace Kern Has An Infamous Past
However, Gregory was ALSO the guy who allegedly burned down the Bush's Chesapeake Inn several years ago. Many might ask, what's he doing roaming the streets today for then? Because the States Attorney who was handling the case at the time allegedly LOST THE FILE before the Trial and the guy got completely off! That's right, he walked!
Gregory lived above Melvin's Steak House at the time of the Dough Roller Fire and was on medication for having multiple personalities, mental illnesses. He was employed by Dough Rollers and quite frankly if I were Joel Todd, I'd be asking questions about the major HOOPERS fire in West Ocean City as well.
Nevertheless, you heard it here first Ladies & Gentlemen. You should see something in a couple of days elsewhere while they try to catch up with this information.
BREAKING NEWS!!!!!! WEBSTER V. ALBERO
So if you planned on heading into Snow Hill today, don't waste your time. The case is no longer on the docket.
That's all I have to say Folks. You have a great day too.

Suspect: Antonio E. Tyler, 33, Portsmouth. VA
On 29 July 2008 at 5:48 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle for following another vehicle too closely. Upon making contact with the occupants the deputy detected the odor of burning marijuana emanating from the passenger compartment of Tyler’s vehicle. The deputy initiated a search of the vehicle and had the occupants exit the vehicle. Assisted Living Help?
I am very frustrated and I know other people in a similar position. My elderly father, 89, lives in Salisbury in his own home. I live in Salibury with my husband. We have a small home and so does "dad" therefore, moving in with each other is not an option.
Not to mention "dad" likes to keep the temp. around 80 - 85 F and I would never be able to stand it that hot. I start sweating as soon as i get to his house. But it's his right to have the house the temp. he likes it. He also gets up very early, goes to bed very early and eats dinner around 4:30 p.m. Not our household schedule for sure.
My husband and I both work full time+ and will not be eligible to retire for some years. So even if dad was at our house, we are both gone all day and into the night at times. We have a very small family, so no help there either.
Increasingly over the last year or so his mental abilities have been declining and he was diagnosed with the beginning stages of alzheimers disease. His Dr. (who is wonderful) put him on a somewhat new medicine that has made a tremendous improvement in his logical thinking and improved his short term memory.
I go to his house every day and take him his meds. to make sure he gets them. I make sure he has a decent meal also and that things are ok. He also has diabetis, high blood pressure, thyroid disfunction etc. So his meds. are very important. He has a cleaning lady who is wonderful. She comes every Monday and cleans, changes beds etc. and cooks a nice meal with left overs already plated for the next two days.
I am increasingly concerned that every day when I go there he is going to be out of it and not able to stay by himself, yet he is not in need of a nursing home. Physically he is ok. He still cuts his grass, has a garden and is in his glory when he is working in his yard. I don't want to take that away from him. He still drives, but questionable how long or if he should be much longer.....Only goes to familiar places he's been going for years.
I want to plan for his and my future.....what resources are in our county for assisted living that don't cost over $5,000/month like mallard landing? My dad is a retired postal worker and while he has sufficient income to live nicely in his own home and has good health insurance, there is no way he can afford that. Plus, as I understand it, once your money is gone you have to leave Mallard Landing? I work for the State of Maryland and cannot afford that either. John B. Parsons staff seem nice, but the rooms are small and dark and not visually appealing. Not sure about the cost there.
Can you put this issue on your blog please? What have other people in this position done/found helpful? I am very anxious and feeling overwhelmed about this...... Thanks." "Mrs. Tom".

POLICE INVESTIGATE BICYCLE THEFTS
The majority of thefts have been concentrated in the south end of town. 5 have been reported in the Caine Woods area, 7 in the 94th Street area, and 9 in the 120th Street area.
In almost all of these thefts, the bicycles were not properly secured. Many were left in yards, on porches, automobile racks, or in unlocked bike racks.
Police are asking citizens to take the time to lock their bicycles properly. A good bike lock has proven to be a reasonable deterrent. Ocean City residents are able to register their bicycles with the Ocean City Police Department at no cost. They will be issued a sticker to put on their bikes. Information about this program is available on our website, www.ocpdmd.com.
Officers' investigations are often hampered by owners who do not know the serial numbers of their bikes. Officers are not able to enter these stolen bikes into the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) computer without a serial number. This lessens the chance that a recovered bike would be returned to its owner.
Anyone with information regarding these thefts is asked to call the OCPD Criminal Investigation Division at 410-723-6604.
The OCPD would like to remind citizens to contact police if any of their property is stolen. People often feel they don't want to bother the police with minor theft complaints, however, these incidents are important to us, and being aware of them could prove very helpful.
More Graffiti At Lowes
For more than a year now I have been posting photos of Graffiti at the Lowes that backs to NORTHWOOD Drive. Does that road sound familiar to you? That's the area in which they found the dead body of a woman two days ago.
If you'll also recall, at one point while one of the buildings was under construction and the glass was installed, someone came in there and busted out every single window in the building.
Possible Gangs have been making their mark in this exact area and it was prime for such crime. The Chief of the Salisbury Police Department wants to treat that area as if its County property, yet it's annexed into the City.
The signs have been there, the Pro Active Police Leadership has not.

Flake & Campbell Introduce Anti-Earmark Amendment First Vote of the 2009 RePORK Card
The $72.7 billion MilCon bill contains 103 member-requested earmarks worth $622 million. While many of these earmarks may be worthwhile, they are not subject to competitive bidding and oversight. In addition, the bill’s price tag is 14 percent larger than last year’s appropriations bill and 5 percent larger than the President’s request. “Supporting the Flake-Campbell amendment will constitute less than a 1 percent reduction in the bill’s total price,” said Club for Growth President Pat Toomey. “Surely Congress can muster up the courage to cut spending by less than 1 percent.”
The Flake-Campbell amendment marks the first anti-pork amendment of the FY 2009 appropriations season and will be included in the Club for Growth’s 2009 RePORK Card. Last year, the Club for Growth issued a RePORK Card, grading each congressman on his commitment to eliminating pork. Last year, only sixteen members received a perfect score of one-hundred percent. Hopefully, that number will increase this year. At the very least, we expect the 41 House members who have sworn off earmarks to support the Flake-Campbell amendment.
“With federal spending ballooning by the minute, Congress should be cutting back not spending more,” Mr. Toomey added. “If Democrats and Republicans want to live up to their promises of fiscal responsibility, they can start by voting for the Flake-Campbell amendment. We commend Reps. Flake and Campbell for introducing this important amendment, and urge all of congressional members to follow in the footsteps of these two taxpayer heroes.”

Speculators Trying to Buy Control of Food Supply
George Washington’s Blog
Tuesday, July 29, 2008
According to the New York Times, Financial Times, and others, hedge funds and other investors are buying up farms, farmland, fertilizer, grain elevators, shipping equipment and other necessities for producing food.
Given the meltdown in the housing and financial sectors and the weakness in the
That means that speculators will drive up food prices.
As Jim Hightower puts it: “By ‘owning structure,’ they mean centralizing control of food in the hands of financial manipulators who have only one crop in mind: fat profits.
Price? Aha! That’s what consolidation of farms and storage facilities is all about. If you can lock down production and stockpile the supply – you can control price. If corn prices are lower than what investors want them to be, simply store the corn and force prices up. Or, if corn prices are down in the
Hedge funds bring nothing but greed and grief to the farm economy and our food supply, and they should be banned from ‘owning structure.’”
Hightower may be right: we should demand that Congress prevent speculators from buying up one of the main necessities. Moreover, this just strengthens my conviction that we should guarantee our access to inexpensive and healthy food. See this and this.

Front Page News
LOOK, I'M SOMEBODY!
Although you cannot even FIND the story on line, they scrapped it from the Front Page Headline News completely, it is on the front page of their print edition.
Oh, as for a comment on the story, I have none, other than to say, GREAT ARTICLE! Perhaps the Daily Times should depend on this particular Reporter more often? He's factual, detailed and someone you can trust.
So, how many of you out there are dying to know what's going to happen today? Yahoo, Judgment Day Is Upon Us! Duvall must have his bottle of oxygen ready for the long trip to Worcester County for the do not miss trial of Joe Albero VS Chief Webster. Hell, I'd even guess he left at 6:30 AM this morning to insure he gets a good seat. You don't have to worry so much about getting up and down all that often, that's what they make Depends for. LOL
The Daily Times did a great article this morning and I should add, (I hope this doesn't come off like I'm sucking up) that has to be the finest Front Page I've ever seen from them. The Pony's should be left up top all year long, it's beautiful!
As for the rest of their news, well, you read it all here yesterday or a few days earlier anyway. I'd link you to my article but they pulled it from their Site. If anyone can find it, can you put it in comments and I'll update the article? Thanks!
Dear Mr. Billy Duvall, GO HERE.
NO SHA SUPERVISORS AT SITE
This morning during the early morning rush hour - 8:00 a.m. - look at time stamp on photo- I was enroute to Salisbury at the intersection of Tilghman Road and Rt. 50. Both lanes - eastbound and westbound on Rt. 50 were backed up as far as the eye could see.
When I heard the motorist beeping horns I looked and there were no flagmen, no SHA supervisors, to move the traffic along. I am not kidding, people were actually trying to back-up on the outside lanes, and, poor K-Marts parking lot was a turn-a-round zone for all of the Tilghman Road vehicles that were also backed-up. I got a photo of this so as to report that there were no SHA supervisors.
You would think that with State furnished vehicles that someone could at least go to work and do their job.
Politics
Dad says, 'Well son, let me try to explain it this way:
I am the head of the family, so call me The President.
Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government.
We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People.
The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class.
And your baby brother, we will call him the Future.
Now think about that and see if it makes sense.'
So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said.
Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him.
He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper.
So the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother asleep.
Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room.
Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny.
He gives up and goes back to bed.
The next morning, the little boy say's to his father, 'Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now.'
The father says, ' Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.'
The little boy replies, 'The President is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep.
The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep Shit .

Joe Albero Walks In & With Total Respect Mayor Tilghman Walks Out
That's right Folks. I no sooner walked into the Council Meeting, Barrie Tilghman gave me that LOOK, so I gave it right back and she packed her things and immediately left. Barrie knows, Joe Albero will NOT be bullied and for the first time in her entire spoiled life, she's met a man that will stand up to her bullsh!t and challenge her every word.
I wonder what it feels like to have all that control where almost every man on this earth bows down to her and then she runs into a man that clearly shows her I think she's completely full of sh!t, she knows it, wow, it must be really tough on her.
Nonetheless, I'm sorry to everyone that was there that I couldn't be there sooner to make the meeting go easier. I'll do better next time to be there earlier. Imagine the look on that woman's face if I were to be able to stand there and talk about the prostitutes her her presence? Remember when I said something about the Mayor and Comegys driving past these prostitutes each and every day?
I can see her pointer finger inside a glass filled with ice and Jack Dannel's, spinning the ice around while watching ME on PAC 14. Then the glass flies out of her hand and smashes on the fireplace and well, you get the picture. Who do you think was wearing the skirt and cleaning up the mess?
A Reader Writes In About The City Council Meeting
Hi, Joe,
Someone on your blog asked what happened at Monday night's council meeting. I saw you in public comment talking about the wrist slap those two SU students got for all the mayhem they caused in that neighborhood. That's a real shame. And about the prostitution going on near downtown. You did a good job, including that pat on the back to SPD.
Since you spoke at the meeting, I was surprised you didn't have any comment on it. Were you there for the whole thing? If not, I figured I'd give you mine, even though it was a really tame meeting. There weren't many items to discuss. Even some special presentation got pulled. The mayor did drink tap water for us. She gave certificates to water department people for Salisbury winning some tap water taste contest in the state. I don't think the taste is so special, but it was nice to see the "little people" get a little credit.
The night was so tame that even three public hearings had no one speak on the "who cares" topics. The only real exchange came over the gas contract for the WWTP. Mrs. Campbell asked some smart questions (as usual), and Mrs. Cohen offered an amendment to make something clear.
What made this kind of interesting was, #1, the lady attorney agreed with Mrs. Cohen and they had a bit of a laugh together. (Hint: Paul Wilber can stay home and let that lady be legal counsel!) Second, even though both Mrs. Cohen and Mrs. Campbell were brief in their comments (not even 5 minutes) because there really wasn't much to talk about, good ol' Louise Smith couldn't resist jumping in on Mrs. Cohen to tell her she was using up her second set of minutes to make her amendment.
Well, I learned something when Mrs. Cohen politely set Louise Smith straight that an amendment was a "debatable motion" and she would speak briefly to the MAIN "debatable motion" when they got back to it. In other words, Louise Smith was breaking her own rule already! Then Louise Smith couldn't even (again) keep what they were voting on straight!
If I didn't know better, I'd say Louise Smith purposely put together an itty-bitty meeting so it would look like her 5-minute rule was saving us all from the dreaded tedium of democracy
And that's the point some firebrand of a lady (Last name Lloyd? She's been on once before.) made in public comment. Joe, that woman said everything so many of us are thinking. She called the three council members on the carpet for their lack of integrity in meeting without Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Cohen, on using anonymous calls to justify eliminating anonymous letters, and more. I kid you not! That lady nailed it! Damn, she's got guts!
The other public comments were good, too. The little Trader fellow was there with his usual reminders of things they are letting go for years. S.J. Disharoon (I remembered his name this time because Bob Caldwell just got up and said "Amen to what S.J. Disharoon said!) went down a long list of stupid ways the city spends our tax money. The public comments were really the meat of the night.
Sorry to go past my 5 minutes. Probably took me longer to write this than it took the meeting to run, LOL. But people ought to catch the replay on PAC14. I think they run Wednesday mornings. I know they often run the following Monday at 6 p.m. because I've had to catch a few on replay. I want to know if anyone else felt like I did that this was made intentionally short in an effort to make Louise Smith look good. Instead, she couldn't even run a short meeting well.
If you print any of this, please don't use my name. I'm not as brave as that one lady. Just sign me:
