I know it's a tease but it assures me all of you will be around waiting to see the big news. I'll give you a hint. It involves Fernando Guerrero but that's all I'm going to say. Have a good night!
Oh, don't forget to post a comment under the Gilchrest Post to let him know you support him or you think he's an IDIOT. I personally think the guy is as dumb as a rock but he's got a wonderful Wife.

Waldo Makes His Rounds
While Police Chief Webster passes by my Office I snapped a shot of him driving away. I was leaving the Office at the time to walk up to the Kratovil Press Conference in front of the GOB and Webster obviously made a U-Turn, (so to speak) to head down the Plaza once again towards my Office. Some of you think I'm obsessed. This guy needs to get a life or at least go to work trying to find the MURDERER still on the loose. Come on Chiefy, use your cameras if you want to follow someone around. You can do so without ever leaving the Office.
Three Men Arrested for Counterfeit Money
On August 31, 2008, Ocean City Police were alerted by a “Jolly Roger Pier Amusements” game operator that a man had just attempted to pay for a game using a counterfeit $50 bill.
Officers responded to the area and with the cooperation of “Jolly Roger Pier Amusements” employees and management were able to locate the male and his associates.
During the investigation, OCPD Officers identified three suspects involved in the counterfeit scam as: David Lee Bailey, (23) years of age, Antonie Carlos North, (19) years of age and Marquise Deandre Young, (18) years of age all of Washington, DC.
Officers recovered over $900 in counterfeit U.S. Currency in denominations of $20’s and $50’s.
Officers noted the $20 bills displayed one of two serial numbers: GI 77900385 A and
G177900385 A. The $50 bills displayed serial numbers: GB 17468396 A and EL 14000368 A.
All three men were arrested and charged with Possessing/Issuing Forged Currency.
All three suspects appeared before an Ocean City District Court Commissioner. Each of the suspects was released after posting individual secure bonds in the amount of $3500.
All Ocean City businesses are asked to please take a few extra minutes to examine large denominations of money. Be particularly vigilant when large denominations are used to pay for low cost items. Do not solely rely on the “counterfeit identification pen” to detect counterfeit bills. Pay attention to watermarks, serial numbers and print quality of the bill.
Every year the public is victimized by the counterfeiting of United States currency and other U.S. obligations. Please carefully examine the money you receive.

DUI Suspect Damages Police Vehicle During Arrest
On August 31, 2008, Ocean City Police stopped a pick-up truck after it was observed
being driven erratically. The driver was identified as Joseph Scott Weker, (47) years old of Ocean City, Maryland.
During the traffic stop, OCPD Officer (PFC Patrick Flynn) observed Weker, and based
on these observations suspected Weker might be intoxicated. During the stop, Weker
refused to take any standardized field sobriety tests and became extremely
uncooperative. When Officers attempted to arrest Weker, he became combative and
resisted by refusing to exit his vehicle. Officers eventually placed Weker under arrest and placed him in an OCPD car for transport to the Public Safety Building.
After being placed in the police vehicle, Weker was able to kick the rear passenger
window of the police car which resulted in the window and door frame of the police car being damaged.
Weker was eventually transported to the Ocean City Public Safety Building, where a
breath test was administered, resulting in .19 grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath.
Weker has been charged with:
• Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (TA 21-902a1)
• Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol per se (TA 21-902a2)
• Driving While Impaired by Alcohol (TA 21-902b1)
• Fail to Display Registration Card on Demand (TA 13-409b)
• Exceed Maximum Speed (TA 21-801.1)
• Driver Failure to Obey Designated Lane Directions (TA 21-309d)
• Malicious Destruction of Property: Greater than $500 (CR- 6-301)
• Resist Arrest (CR 9-408b)
Weker appeared before an Ocean City District Court Commissioner and was released
on his own recognizance.

If You Own Land In Wicomico County, Your Sky May Soon Be Falling
Today the County’s Zoning Director, Jack Lenox, presented the County Council
with his plan to downzone land in the residential (R-8, R-15, R-20 and R-30)
and other (Town Transition and Village Conservation) zoning districts to
a “base density” of 1 home per acre in order to promote the downzoning that the
Council is considering in the Agricultural zoning district. It looks like a
misery loves company marriage may be in the making.
That “base density” (1 unit/acre) could be increased by the purchase of so-
called “TRD’s” (transferable development rights) from landowners in the Ag.
District – for example (and this is simply a guess) the density could be
increased to allow more than 1 home per acre for about $3,000 per additional
home, but it could be higher or lower, depending on what the TDR market would
bear at the time. In essence, developers in those other zoning districts would
be required to pay owners in the Ag. district in order to build more than 1
home per acre. It’s unclear if existing lots in already approved subdivisions
would be exempt from this scheme.
For land that is not exempt, the effect would be to (1) reduce its value and
(2) increase the cost of development by the “TDR price” for each additional
home. And a possible unintended result is that there could be more large (1
acre or more) lots – i.e., urban sprawl – in those areas.
It’s part of the scheme to prevent more “cluster” development in the Ag.
District by requiring developers in other districts to buy TDR’s. If you own
land in the other areas, you better speak up or forever hold your peace after
this shotgun marriage occurs – the first opportunity to speak to the Council
members “up close and personal” will be in two weeks, September 16, when the
County Council meets again.
And if you own land that gets downzoned to eliminate "cluster" lots in the Ag.
District, remember that you only have a buyer if someone is willing to pay you
in order to have higher development density on their property in another
district, and that some property can obtain a higher density by being annexed
into the City of Salisbury or another town in Wicomico County. And then there's
the question of whether the lots that are already subdivided will be exempt
from the new "base density" limit. As they say in the city, "better keep your
day job" for the time being, and possibly much longer.
BREAKING NEWS! IT'S OFFICIAL, GILCHREST ENDORSES KRATOVIL!
It's another Salisbury News first. Frank Kratovil stood in front of a crowd of locals while Wayne Gilchrest stood there in the background like a lost puppy looking for his Mother!
Honest to God, this guy looked like someone had a gun to his head and within seconds local Republicans were furious that Gilchrest had the nerve to do this to the Eastern Shore.
I ran into a few local attorneys along the way to and from and let me assure you, they're pissed. Well, who knows. Maybe it's like going to Confession for once for Gilchrest as he's finally shown his true colors. Now when you look up RINO you'll see Wayne Gilcrest's photo next to the word.
Andy Harris Campaign Statement On Gilchrest Endorsement
Annapolis - The Andy Harris for Congress Campaign Manager Chris Meekins released the following statement on Gilchrest's endorsement today.
Chris Meekins made the following statement:
" Voters want a change from the failed policies of Congress of raising taxes, increasing wasteful spending, and failing to solve our energy crisis. Andy Harris represents a change, Frank Kratovil obviously represents more of the same. If you are tired of the way business is done in Washington, then Andy Harris is your candidate.
"Voters are tired politicians who put the radical environmental special interest groups ahead of the needs of Maryland families. Sadly both Gilchrest and Kratovil oppose expanding domestic exploration of oil and natural gas. Both oppose expanding capacity at domestic refineries. Both support raising energy taxes. In contrast, Andy Harris supports a comprehensive energy solution that includes expanding domestic exploration of oil and natural gas, developing the next generation of alternative energy technology, and more conservation."
Kratovil has also received endorsements from liberals like Martin O'Malley, Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, and Chris Van Hollen. This support shows he is clearly out of touch with the values of the district.
The Skipjack Boat Race I
Once again this was yet another spectacular event held on Deal Island. This was my very first time ever visiting this Island and the people were just as welcoming as Crisfield.
The boats were absolutely spectacular as was the race. Now that I have pictures I'll be able to show the event well ahead of time next year and encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the day. There were Yard Sales all the way into the Island as well, if you're into that kind of thing.
Thanks for the hospitality Folks!
Rush Hour This Morning At A Gordy Mart
To confirm many of the comments attempting to be sent in about this Gas Station beings so busy this morning, I'm here to tell you there's a reason I refused to post your lies/comments. I was there. I drove past them and took this photo this morning and what you were trying to say was a complete lie. There were no lines and as a matter of fact, there was only one vehicle at the pumps. So unless you want to send me pictures proving to me everyone is dying to get to this Station to get gas, I'm not posting your lies.
The Daily Times Delivers?
"my stepfather in Crisfield has not received his DT (bird cage paper) in 2 days nor has anyone on his street."
Loos like the fine people of Crisfield aren't being treated too kindly by the Daily Times?
That's OK though because they're all coming to Salisbury News now anyway.

Hi, I'm Wayne Gilchrest & I Don't Give A Sh!t Any More
Once again his Office is closed, (as usual) and the trash is building up outside. You can click on the images to enlarge. Hey Wayne, why isn't your face on the Poster in your front window? You're fallen from the 1st District too. We'll have to Photo Shop you and Kratovil on there in the near future, no disrespect to the Fallen Soldiers you claimed to have represented but clearly lied to.
"Wayne Gilchrest, I'll say and do anything to get your vote."
Apparently the endorsement has been made.
How's That $10,000.00 Camera Working For You Chief?
You know those special cameras Chief Webster has been placing all over the City? You know, the high crime areas? Well, there's one right at One Plaza East at the end of the Downtown Plaza where the Police Chief and his S-T-A-L-K-E-R-S can keep an eye on people like you and me. Oh, and the criminals too, "Sorry about that Chief." (Remember Maxwell Smart)
Nevertheless, that camera can easily see who caused this damage, yet there's no Press Release on it? Come on Chief, tell us our hard earned money on these cameras was worth it, especially the locations you placed them in. You know, high crime like this exact example. Sarcasm intended.
Congress At Its Best
You need to watch this! The majority of our politicians just do what it takes to get re-elected, and it doesn't take a genius to realize which ones are keeping us from drilling for our own oil.....Furthermore, our worthless news media did NOT tell us about this speech in Congress....

Are We On To Something?
Could this be the new look of the upcoming Council Chamber Table wood? As mentioned last week, (or so) the County is getting ready to change the Council Conference Table to fit all the new people and angle things so everyone is able to see one and other. Yes, it looks like Salisbury News has the exclusive on the new wood ;-)

Dee, Dee, Deeee Parking On The Plaza
She back into the planter 2 or 3 times..almost hit the focus in front of her. Parked it, then went to feed the meter..noticed that there’s only one meter, went to feed that and saw that the focus still had time left so she just walked away to go shopping I suppose.
As Ace Ventura said “Like a glove-uh”.
Wayne Gilchreest To Announce He's Endorsing Kratovil Today
The RINO Wayne Gilchrest has allegedly announced, (as Salisbury News said he would) he's going to cross party lines today in Annapolis and Easton and support Frank Kratovil for Congress.
Bitter, old, angry, disgruntled, beaten, worn, tired, frustrated, now is not the time to make such a move but one can only surmise that his career in politics is over and this is his final goodbye.
I'm confident once the announcement is made, GA Harrison will be on this like there's no tomorrow but for now, we'll see what actually happens. The Baltimore Sun made the announcement this morning and I have people in Easton right now waiting for such said information and updates.
Will such an announcement help Frank Kratovil? Well, Wayne had quite a few supporters that have now watched him with parties and my guess is, they're NOT going to stand for it. Gilchrest has just lost a lot of respect from those supporters in years past and quite frankly, voters proved that Gilchrest was no longer an asset to their State and removed him from Office to start with. Andy Harris is a proven man in the Senate and will bring that history with him to Congress and make better changes in our part of the Country.
I can see WQayne's future now, Wax On, Wax Off. It's back to the paint brush for you Wayne.
BREAKING NEWS! Large Artifact Found On Beach In Ocean City This Morning
There was a large artifact found on the beach of Ocean City and removed this morning. It appears to be a Keel from a ship of years past as noted by the
markings.
The Town is making arrangements with Federal Museum Officials for it to be studied. This keel is huge and very unstable. It was a slow process to remove it and preserve it.
A special thanks goes out to our roaming anonymous Contributor from Ocean City, you're getting it here first, as always.
