A Comment Worthy Of A Post Below
I'm amazed at the lack of comments on this. It appears that no one is understanding the gravity of this. The implications here are staggering. Connect the dots here people. There is no way in hell all of this American equipment was "taken" from Iraqi soldiers. We and our allies have been equipping them. Think people. Why have we been avoiding the bombing of their oil convoys? Because we're paying nicey nice? Hell no! Someone is getting paid for NOT bombing them! That is Chicago politics/organized crime - paying for protection. Either in money or oil that is converted to money. Stop being naive. Russia has outed Obama. And Turkey is benefitting from it. When Turkey makes another stupid move on Russia and Russia starts to bomb them into the next century we will be obligated by treaty to defend them. This is a very bad situation. What would Obama do to stop Russia from bringing all these things to light? How far will he go? Looks like we may very well find out. You Obama lovers are so in denial. I pity you and us for what you've done.

Lynch recalibrates message on hateful speech
Attorney General Loretta Lynch Monday appeared to recalibrate remarks she made last week that suggested the Justice Department could investigate speech deemed hostile towards Muslims.
"Of course, we prosecute deeds and not words," she said at a press conference Monday to announce an unrelated civil rights investigation into the Chicago Police Department.
Some conservatives criticized Lynch for her comments to a Muslim civil rights group, where she lamented "the ability of people to issue hateful speech of all types from the anonymity of a screen."

Middle Eastern Men Arrested Near Mexican Border with Steel Cylinders
Five young Middle Eastern men were apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol this week in an Arizona town situated about 30 miles from the Mexican border, law enforcement and other sources told Judicial Watch.
Border Patrol agents spotted the men crossing a ranch property in the vicinity of Amado, which is located about 35 miles south of Tucson and has a population of 275. Two of the Middle Eastern men were carrying stainless steel cylinders in backpacks, JW’s sources say, alarming Border Patrol officials enough to call the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for backup. A multitude of federal agents descended on the property and the two men carrying the cylinders were believed to be taken into custody by the FBI.
Only three of the men’s names were entered in the Border Patrol’s E3 reporting system, which is used by the agency to track apprehensions, detention hearings and removals of illegal immigrants. E3 also collects and transmits biographic and biometric data including fingerprints for identification and verification of individuals encountered at the border. The other two men were listed as “unknown subjects,” which is unheard of, according to a JW federal law enforcement source. “In all my years I’ve never seen that before,” a veteran federal law enforcement agent told JW.

What you should know about this 'new' STD
As if there's not enough bad STD news to worry about already—a recent study suggests there's a new sexually transmitted infection in town. Introducing: mycoplasma genitalium, or MG.
Though experts have known of MG's existence since the '80s, the new paper published in the International Journal of Epidemiology reveals that the bacterial infection, which resides in the urinary and genital tracts, likely spreads through sexual contact.
To reach their findings, researchers at University College London, examined urine samples of 4,507 men and women between 18 and 44 years old who were sexually active with at least one partner. Of these participants, 48 women and 24 men were diagnosed with MG. However, when the researchers tested urine samples from about 200 teenagers who had never had sex, zero tested positive for the infection.

Syrians Are a Terror Threat, Here Are the Numbers
Syria is a terror state. It didn't become that way overnight because of the Arab Spring or the Iraq War.
Its people are not the victims of American foreign policy, Islamic militancy or any of the other fashionable excuses. They supported Islamic terrorism. Millions of them still do.
They are not the Jews fleeing a Nazi Holocaust. They are the Nazis trying to relocate from a bombed out Berlin.
These are the cold hard facts.
ISIS took over parts of Syria because its government willingly allied with it to help its terrorists kill Americans in Iraq. That support for Al Qaeda helped lead to the civil war tearing the country apart.
The Syrians were not helpless, apathetic pawns in this fight. They supported Islamic terrorism.
A 2007 poll showed that 77% of Syrians supported financing Islamic terrorists including Hamas and the Iraqi fighters who evolved into ISIS. Less than 10% of Syrians opposed their terrorism.
Why did Syrians support Islamic terrorism? Because they hated America.
Sixty-three percent wanted to refuse medical and humanitarian assistance from the United States. An equal number didn't want any American help caring for Iraqi refugees in Syria.
The vast majority of Syrians turned down any form of assistance from the United States because they hated us. They still do. Just because they're willing to accept it now doesn't mean they like us.
If we bring Syrian Muslims to America, we will be importing a population that hates us.

ICE Director: 'Bunch' of Countries Refuse U.S. Efforts to Deport Criminal Aliens
Sarah Saldana, the director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, told Congress on Wednesday that ICE cannot deport criminal aliens without the cooperation of their home countries -- and there's "a whole bunch" of countries that do not cooperate in taking back their criminals.
Saldana said Haiti, China, and India are three of those countries, but she couldn't remember the others. She told Sen. Richard Blumenthal she'd get him a list.
Blumenthal, a Connecticut Democrat, last week asked the inspector-general of the Homeland Security Department to investigate ICE's failure to deport Jean Jacques, an illegal immigrant from Haiti, who is accused of murdering a 25-year-old Connecticut woman in June. At the time, Jacques was free after serving a 15-year prison term in the U.S. for attempted murder.
Three attempts by ICE to deport him, dating back to 2002, failed.
At a Senate hearing on Wednesday, Blumenthal asked Saldana why "ICE failed to deport him as it should have done."
"Haiti does not, apparently, have the interest, the resources to assist us in doing that. And so we can't just drop them off without the country being in a position to accept them.
Blumenthal wasn't buying it:
"Apart from what Haiti is or is not willing to do, I maintain, and I think the inspector-general investigation will affirm, that much more could have been done by ICE. But if that's a problem, why haven't you come to the Congress, why haven't you gone to the State Department? Haiti receives a lot of aid from this country and it ought to be held accountable," the senator said.

Liberty president calls for an armed Christian campus
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. urged students, staff and faculty at his Christian school to get a permit to carry a concealed weapon on campus to counter any copycat attack like the deadly rampage in California just days ago.
“Let’s teach them a lesson if they ever show up here,” Falwell told an estimated 10,000 of the campus community at convocation Friday in Lynchburg. While Falwell’s call to arms was applauded, his remarks also seemed to target Muslims.
“I’ve always thought if more good people had concealed carry permits, then we could end those Muslims before they walked in .,” Falwell said. The final words of his statement could not be clearly heard on a videotape of the remarks.

Breaking News: Terror couple's bombs were set to kill first responders
None of the pipe bombs left at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino by Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik in Wednesday's attack detonated, but the technique has investigators very concerned, sources told Fox News.
"This was meant to kill more, but also scare other future responders to attacks," a source with inside knowledge of the investigation said. "This was meant to get into the minds of medics and officers who are arriving first on scene."
It remains unclear why the bombs did not detonate. It could have been water from the sprinklers or a malfunction with remote control devices, according to investigators.

The Truth About Mass Shootings
Facts are stubborn things. In the wake of the Islamist attack in San Bernardino, Barack Obama trotted out the usual blame-the-gun rhetoric: “We have a pattern of mass shootings in this country with no parallel anywhere else in the world.” That was after he claimed in a Tuesday press conference (in Paris, of all places), “This just doesn’t happen in other countries.” Repeat, ad nauseum.
But is it really true? This doesn’t happen in the Middle East, Africa and Asia? As you might guess whenever Obama opens his mouth, no, it’s not true. The U.S. is pretty much in the middle of the pack for mass murder committed with firearms, both in the frequency and death rate. In fact, according to gun researcher John Lott, “In just 2015, France suffered more casualties — killings and injuries — from mass public shootings than the U.S. has suffered during Obama’s entire presidency (508 to 424).”
As for the number of mass shooting incidents in the U.S., we’ve noted before that the Leftmedia uses completely BS statistics collected by anti-gun fanatics. How inflated are those numbers?

Illegals Rejected by Democrat Voters Sue for 'Right' to Drive
In one of the most brazen gambits of the year, five Mexican illegal immigrants and two Latino-focused nonprofit organizations filed suit seeking to reverse Oregon voters' rejection of a measure granting illegal immigrants state “driver’s cards.” Unsurprisingly, the so-called race card is an integral part of the mix.
Measure 88, which would have provided driver’s cards to those who couldn’t prove they’re in the country legally, failed by a whopping margin of 66.1% to 33.9% during the 2014 mid-term election. Voters in 35 of Oregon’s 36 counties and every congressional district in the state rejected the measure, even though Oregon is a Democrat stronghold, and the pro-illegal constituency outspent their opponents by a 10 to 1 margin.
In other words, when Democrat voters get a say on the issue they stand in direct opposition to Democrat politicians — the very same Democrat politicians who label any resistance to their pro-amnesty agenda as bigoted and xenophobic.
Regardless, Democrat Party allies filed suit Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Eugene, alleging that Measure 88 is unconstitutional because it is “arbitrary” and “capricious,” “motivated, at least in part, by animus towards Mexicans and Central Americans,” and violates the equal protection clause of the U.S. Constitution’s 14th Amendment. Democrat Gov. Kate Brown and Department of Transportation leaders are named as defendants in the case.

CAIR: America Bears Some Blame for Terror Attacks
America bears some of the blame for the bloody wave of Islamic extremism that has brought terrorism to San Bernardino, Paris and locations around the world, according to a spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
In a Friday CNN interview, Hussam Ayloush, of the group's Los Angeles chapter, said American foreign policy has helped fuel the rage that drives Muslim radicals to kill in the name of their faith.
“Let’s not forget that some of our own foreign policy, as Americans, as the west, have fueled that extremism,” Ayloush told "New Day" host Chris Cuomo during a discussion about Wednesday's terrorist attack in San Bernardino, Calif., where a Muslim married couple killed 14 and wounded 21 at a holiday party for the county health department that employed the husband, Syed Rizwan Farook.
Ayloush said U.S. support for repressive regimes in the Middle East, including Egypt, “push people over to the edge.”
“Then they become extremists,” said Ayloush. “We are partly responsible. Terrorism is a global problem, not a Muslim problem.."

Councilwoman who quit over 'Christmas' tree rescinds resignation
The Roselle Park councilwoman who resigned Thursday after the council voted to change the name of the borough's "Tree Lighting" to a "Christmas Tree Lighting" is now rescinding her resignation.
Minutes after the council voted 4-2 Thursday night to change the name, Councilwoman-at-Large Charlene Storey walked out of the meeting. She later submitted her letter of resignation to the municipal clerk's office.
"I cannot in good conscience continue to be part of a council that is exclusionary or to work with a Mayor who is such," Storey said, adding that the change "cuts non-Christians out of the loop and favors one religion."
Storey, who was raised Catholic but is now a "non-believer" and has never hidden that fact, said the issue was a matter of principle. Changing the ceremony, she said, "turned it from a non-religious event to a religious one."

Media Rush Into Shooting Suspects' Home, Riffle Through Belongings
NBC News, CNN, Fox News and other media outlets entered the Redlands, Calif. home of the suspects in the San Bernardino shooting.
NBC was one of the first national outlets to enter the home after reporting that their reporters were granted access by the apartment landlord.
The landlord disputes that claim, insisting he didn’t let them in, and that they “rushed in.”

Former Congressman Unleashes on Attorney General
A former U.S. congressman urged Attorney General Loretta Lynch to arrest him after she warned on Thursday that her office would take a more aggressive approach to those spewing anti-Muslim rhetoric.
“I think Islam has a real freaking problem, alright?” Former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh said in a video posted to his Facebook page. “There is a cancer in Islam, and if they’re not going to learn to assimilate, I don’t want them in this country.”
“You got a problem, Loretta Lynch, with me saying that? Then throw me in jail,” Walsh, a conservative talk show host, argued. “I think Islam is evil. I think Islam has a huge problem. I think most Muslims around the world are not compatible with American values. I don’t want them here.”
Walsh continued to slam Lynch in his video for the comments she made at Muslim Advocate’s 10th anniversary dinner one day after law enforcement officials say two people opened fire at a holiday party in San Bernardino, California, leaving 14 people dead and more than one dozen injured. According to reports, the wife pledged allegiance to the Islamic State on her Facebook page just moments before the attack.
“When we talk about the First Amendment we [must] make it clear that actions predicated on violent talk are not American. They are not who we are, they are not what we do, and they will be prosecuted,” Lynch said at the banquet.

Ben Carson: California Shootings End Refugee Debate
Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson said Friday that this week's mass shooting in Southern California should end the debate over whether Syrian refugees can safely be screened.
The retired neurosurgeon told a pro-business group made of lawmakers from across the nation that if it turns out the woman involved was fully vetted by federal officials and cleared to enter the U.S. it should help end the refugee debate.
"Now if that vetting resulted in missing someone who carried out such a horrendous crime that should be the end of the argument right there," Carson said.
The FBI said Friday that it is investigating the shooting in San Bernardino, California as an act of terrorism. A U.S. law enforcement official said the woman who helped her husband carry out the attack had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group and its leader on Facebook under an alias.

Woman Killed in San Bernardino Shooting Fled Iran to Avoid Islamic Extremism
Bennetta Betbadal, one of the 14 people killed in Wednesday’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, had fled from Iran to the U.S. to escape Islamic extremism, her family says.
Born in Iran in 1969, Betbadal moved to the U.S. when she was 18 to flee the “persecution of Christians that followed the Iranian Revolution,” her family said in a statement, The San Bernardino Sun reported.
She was shot to death Wednesday at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino by a Muslim couple with possible ties to the Islamic State terrorist group.
“It is the ultimate irony that her life would be stolen from her that day by what appears to be the same type of extremism that she fled so many years ago,” the family’s statement said.
Betbadal and her husband, a police officer at Riverside Community College, have three children, two boys and a girl ages 10, 12, and 15, the Sun reported. The couple, religious Roman Catholics, were married in March 1997.

Legally Armed Citizenry Seen As Mass-shooting, Terrorism Deterrent
Democrats ramped up their push Thursday for more firearms restrictions even as alarm over recent mass shootings, including one linked to Islamic terrorism, fueled calls for citizens to play a greater role in their own protection.
The Senate defeated two gun control amendments, one that would have expanded background checks for guns purchased online and at gun shows, and another that would have prohibited suspected terrorists from buying firearms.
It’s unclear whether either measure would have prevented Wednesday’s deadly San Bernardino shooting, given that California law already requires universal background checks and the two perpetrators were apparently on no terrorism lists.
While Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, decried Republicans for being “complicit” in recent mass shootings, several law enforcement authorities said Thursday that there is a case to be made that licensed gun owners may act as deterrents to mass shooters.
Eugene O’Donnell, a professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York and a former police officer, says about half of mass shootings are finished before the first officer arrives, given that “these are people that are coming in to kill.”
“They’re coming in to kill as many people as they can, as quickly as they can, so the old model — the police would get there, they would cordon the place off, you could talk people through — a large number of these events are going to be over before the cops get there,” Mr. O’Donnell said.

GOP Legislators Push Plan That Could Replace Americans With Foreign Workers
GOP House leaders are preparing a huge appropriations bill for a vote next week — and top GOP legislators want to include a rider that could allow employers to replace at least 100,000 blue-collar Americans with up to 264,000 foreign temporary H-2B workers.
The plan would actually cost taxpayers billions of dollars each year, because the unemployed Americans workers won’t pay taxes, but would get unemployment checks and welfare aid from the taxpayers.
The GOP’s pink-slip plan would also cut the wages of many other American workers before the 2016 election. That’s because the foreign temps hold down the normal wages that Americans could otherwise negotiate in a free market for their labor.
The GOP legislators, the House appropriations committee and the GOP’s leadership would not respond to repeated requests for information about the measure. A Hill aide, however, provided Breitbart with documents indicating legislators are pushing to include it in the omnibus bill. GOP leaders plan to rush that huge spending bill through the House by the end of next week.

Texas Drops Request To Block Syrian Refugees
AUSTIN -- Texas officials have withdrawn their request for an emergency order blocking a group of Syrian refugees from entering the state and instead are seeking a broader hearing next week on how closely the federal government coordinates with the state on refugee resettlement.
The move almost certainly will allow two Syrian refugees families scheduled to enter the state Monday to arrive and could signal that the state may not stand in the way of future placements.
Attorney General Ken Paxton made the move in a two-sentence court filing Friday, the same day that Dallas-based federal judge David Godbey had been expected to rule on the emergency order request.
In a statement, Paxton explained he had withdrawn the request for an emergency order because federal officials had provided additional information on the refugees that the state had requested. He did not specify what the state had received.
"Texas shouldn't have to go to court to require Washington to comply with federal law regarding its duties to consult with Texas in advance," Paxton said. "Our state will continue legal proceedings to ensure we get the information necessary to adequately protect the safety of Texas residents. While we remain concerned about the federal government's overall refugee vetting process, we must ensure that Texas has the seat at the table that the Refugee Act requires."
Paxton requested a hearing by next Wednesday.

Former FBI Agent: ‘Vast Majority’ of US Mosques/Islamic Centers Part of ‘Jihadi Network’
On Friday’s Breitbart News Daily (6AM-9AM EST) on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, former FBI counter-terrorism Special Agent John Guandolo argued that the “vast majority” of the 2,200 Islamic organizations, centers, and mosques in the United States are a part of a broader “Jihadi network” intent on imposing Sharia Law in America.
Guandolo told host and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon that the San Bernardino terrorist, the UC Merced stabber, the Chattanooga shooter, and the Boston Bombers can all be traced back to such Islamic Centers where “they were supported and trained.”
Guandolo said that the San Bernardino terrorists attended the Islamic Center of Riverside, which he said was a “a Muslim Brotherhood Center.” He noted that the Boston Bombers attended the Islamic Society of Boston, which he said was a subsidiary of the Islamic Society of North America that was founded by an al-Qaeda guy who used to advise former President Bill Clinton and former Vice President Al Gore and is now in prison.
He said there are over 2,200 Islamic Centers and mosques in America and the “vast majority of them are a part of this network — they’re hostile.”
He said “over 75%” of these centers, based on their property records, are a part of the “Muslim Brotherhood network” since they are “owned by the North American Islamic Trust, which is the bank for the Muslim Brotherhood here.”
He said “in 2006, I put together the first training program inside the government on the jihadi network in the United States… and was able to sneak a second one in in early 2007.”
Guandolo trained “quite a number of agents from a variety of agencies,” including the Department of Justice, before the government shut down the programs. He mentioned that the “most prominent Muslim Brotherhood Organizations like the Islamic Society of North America, Muslim Public Affairs Council, and the Hamas organization called the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) — complained to the White House about the training inside the government at the FBI.”

Chicago Protesters Call for Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Resignation, Justice Department Expected to Launch Civil Rights Probe of Police
CHICAGO (TheBlaze/AP) — About 200 protesters in downtown Chicago called for Mayor Rahm Emanuel to resign in the wake of documents that show police officers’ accounts of the 2014 killing of a black teen differed greatly from what was captured on dashcam video.
Meanwhile the Justice Department is expected to announce this week a civil rights investigation of the Chicago Police Department similar to probes of police departments in Baltimore and Ferguson, Missouri.
Marchers on Sunday were heard chanting in one clip, “Hey hey, ho ho, Rahm Emanuel has got to go!”
Protesters walking in the business district known as The Loop counted to 16 to signify the number of times Officer Jason Van Dyke shot 17-year-old Laquan McDonald.

Proposed IRS Rule: Charities Collect Donors' Social Security Numbers
Conservatives and nonprofit groups Thursday slammed a proposed IRS rule that could require charities to collect and report Social Security numbers for donors who contribute $250 or more, with Washington attorney Cleta Mitchell expressing "shock and dismay" over the potential repercussions of such a requirement.
"I think about every little church, every charity that anybody gives money to," Mitchell told Newsmax in an interview. "How does any donor know whether a charity is going to be able to protect that information?"
Tim Delaney, president and CEO of the National Council of Nonprofits, said the proposal "would be devastating for nonprofits and the general public.
"Nonprofits will be hurt because people will be reluctant to make a donation if it means they have to share their private Social Security number, plus it will divert limited resources away from missions to invest instead in costly new data security," Delaney said.
"Likewise, the general public will be hurt when scam artists call up claiming to be nonprofits to get Social Security numbers so they can then steal identities and commit fraud."

Rebel flag flap continues as Roanoke's Christmas parade nears
Dan Smith wants people to protest the display of Confederate battle flags during the annual The Roanoke Times Dickens of a Christmas parade by turning their backs Friday night if a Sons of Confederate Veterans contingent passes by with the flags.
Smith, who is white, is a regional journalist, author and blogger. He objected strenuously after last year’s parade through downtown Roanoke about the display of Confederate battle flags by the Roanoke-based 28th Virginia Infantry Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Smith said this week that the parade is not a political event but is meant, instead, to celebrate the birthday of a peacemaker.
“My issue is with the conscious parading of a flag that causes pain to a large segment of our population, all in order to celebrate a war that ended in 1865,” Smith said.

Shooter Passed Same Vetting Refugees Will Get
Republican Sens. Ted Cruz and Jeff Sessions Thursday demanded that the Obama administration release the immigration history of the man and woman who committed the San Bernardino attacks, killing 14 people and wounding 21 others.
"In our struggle against terrorism, we are dealing with an enemy that has shown it is not only capable of bypassing U.S. screening, but of recruiting and radicalizing Muslim migrants after their entry to the United States," the senators said in a letter to the White House. "The recruitment of terrorists in the U.S. is not limited to adult migrants, but to their young children and to their U.S.-born children, which is why family immigration history is necessary to understand the nature of the threat."
"We are dealing with an enemy that has shown it is not only capable of bypassing U.S. screening, but of recruiting and radicalizing Muslim migrants after their entry to the United States," Cruz and Sessions wrote in their letter to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and Secretary of State John Kerry.
The senators' letter comes as CBS News tweeted a report that Malik passed the Department of Homeland Security’s "counterterrorism screening as part of her vetting" for a visa to the United States.
Federal officials maintained that they have a rigorous and effective screening process for people from countries with significant jihadist movements — Syria, for instance — making the immigration records of Farook and Malik a potentially significant piece of the debate over refugee policy, The National Review reports.
Sessions and Cruz said that the White House is still withholding immigration data on as many as 72 known terrorists, many of whom have been linked to recent events in the United States.
They requested that information nearly four months ago.

California's Strict Gun Laws Failed to Stop Mass Shooting
The deadly shooting in San Bernardino happened in a state with some of the nation's toughest gun laws: California bars assault weapons, blocks the sale of large-capacity magazines and requires universal background checks for all gun purchases.
Authorities say they believe suspected gunman Syed Rizwan Farook and wife Tashfeen Malik had legally obtained two handguns and that two rifles were also legally purchased in California. Federal officials say the attackers had large-capacity magazines that violate California law in their SUV.
Since the attack Wednesday at a social service center in Southern California, the state's strict laws and the apparent legal purchase of the weapons have set off a debate over the effectiveness of gun measures and whether getting tougher would help prevent more violence.

Sens. Rubio, Graham Vote To Continue Muslim Immigration
A pivotal vote on Muslim immigration split the Republican presidential field in the Senate—with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) voting to continue to allow large-scale Muslim immigration and Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) voting to pause Muslim immigration.
The amendment, offered Sen. Rand Paul, would have suspended visa issuances to more than 30 Muslim countries with active Jihadist populations. Graham and Rubio were both members of the Gang of Eight, which proposed legislation that would expand Muslim immigration, and Paul and Cruz were both opponents of the Gang of Eight bill.
Graham and Rubio’s vote against curbing Muslim migration follows the attack in San Bernardino. The male suspect, Syed Farook, is the son of Pakistani immigrants; and the female suspect, Farook’s wife, Tashfeen Malik, was a Pakistani native. According to CNN, the two met, “when he [Farook] had gone to Saudi Arabia in 2013 on the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims are required to take at last once in their lifetime. It was during this trip that he met Malik, a native of Pakistan who came to the United States in July 2014 on a ‘fiancée visa’ and later became a lawful permanent resident.”
Sen. Paul’s amendment failed 89-10, with only nine other Senators joining Paul’s bid for a halt to the large-scale distribution of visas to nations with jihadist populations. The nine others supporting Paul’s amendment were Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Sen. David Vitter (R-LA), Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY), Mike Enzi, Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL), Sen. Jerry Moran (R-KS), Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) and Senator Ted Cruz.
Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Republican Whip Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), and GOP Conference Chair Sen. John Thune (R-SD) voted against the amendment.

Pamela Geller: Media Are 'Sharia-Compliant'
The news media are essentially agreeing with Islamic law in their failure to call the deadly San Bernardino shootings terrorism, activist Pamela Geller tells Newsmax TV.
"This is the pattern we see repeatedly," Geller, president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, said Thursday on "Newsmax Prime."
"It is a Sharia-compliant media," she said, "and what I mean by that is under the Sharia, under Islamic law, you cannot criticize or offend Islam."
Geller was critical of the New York Daily News' headline "God Isn't Fixing This."
"Mocking God, this is what they do in the wake of jihadi attacks," she said. "The media is the largest weapon the enemy has in its arsenal, and that's what you're witnessing."
The media has long abdicated their role as a news-gathering entity and has become an activist organization pushing "a giant lie," Geller asserts.

Bernie Sanders To Make Campaign Stop In Baltimore
BALTIMORE (AP) — Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is planning a presidential campaign stop in Baltimore, where he’ll tour Freddie Gray’s neighborhood and meet with black leaders.
Sanders’ campaign says he’ll visit Baltimore on Tuesday. He’s bringing his campaign to the home turf of one of his rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination: former Maryland governor and Baltimore mayor Martin O’Malley.
Sanders plans to take a walking tour of the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood, where Gray lived. Gray died this spring of a spinal injury he suffered while in police custody, and the first of six police officers charged in his death is now on trial.

Gallup: Only 30% of Syrians Still Want to Live in Syria
Only 30 percent of Syrians said they would like to continue living in Syria, according to a Gallup survey that was conducted in Syria in January and published this week.
Another 46 percent of Syrians said they would like to permanently move to another country and 24 percent said they “don’t know” whether they would like to permanently move or stay.
Thirty-nine percent of Syrians who said they want to leave Syria named a country in Europe as the place they would like to go. That made Europe the most popular destination for Syrians who would like to permanently leave their country.
The Middle East and North Africa was the second most popular destination for Syrians who would like to permanently leave their country. Thirty-five percent of those who said they wanted to leave Syria named a country in one of those regions as they place they would like to go.
Only 6 percent of the Syrians who said they would like to permanently move out of Syria named the United States or Canada as the place they would like to go.

72 DHS Employees on Terrorist Watch List
At least 72 employees at the Department of Homeland Security are listed on the U.S. terrorist watch list, according to a Democratic lawmaker.
Rep. Stephen Lynch (D., Mass.) disclosed that a congressional investigation recently found that at least 72 people working at DHS also “were on the terrorist watch list.”
“Back in August, we did an investigation—the inspector general did—of the Department of Homeland Security, and they had 72 individuals that were on the terrorist watch list that were actually working at the Department of Homeland Security,” Lynch told Boston Public Radio.
“The [former DHS] director had to resign because of that,” he said.
DHS continues to fail inspections aimed at determining the efficiency of its internal safety mechanisms, as well as its efforts to protect the nation.
Lynch referred to a recent report that found the Transportation Security Administration, which is overseen by DHS, failed to stop 95 percent of those who attempted to bring restricted items past airport security.

Obama Made it Easier for Islamic State Jihadis to Enter on 90-Day Fiancé Visas
ISIS can export jihadis to the United States–such as Tashfeen Malik, who killed 14 in San Bernardino–by going online and arranging 90-day fiancé visas for as little as $375.
Since 2009, President Barack Obama’s deputies have streamlined the process so that it can all be accomplished completely online–without any face-to-face check with a U.S. embassy official.
There were 24,486,536 tourist, business and other arrivals in the U.S. from residents of the 38 friendly nations on the U.S. Visa Waiver Program. Since Obama took office, the number of visas issued per year to non-friendly, non-waiver residents has jumped by over 50 percent to 9,932,480 last year.
The fastest-growing sector of the program is the “Fiancé Visa” program, known as “K-1,” which jumped from 30,290 in 2013 to 41,488 in 2014. San Bernardino terrorist Tashfeen Malik was one of them.
Referred to as the “mail order brides and grooms” category, there are at least 10 online companies that arrange 90 day fiancé visas at very low cost.
The activity has become so popular that in 2014 The Learning Channel launched a TV series called 90 Day Fiancé that tracked people each week from around the globe who were trolling on Facebook to arrange a marriage proposal as a backdoor into America.

Here’s How Some Republican Presidential Candidates Reacted to Obama’s Oval Office Address
Republican presidential candidates took to the Internet Sunday night to offer their thoughts on President Barack Obama’s rare address from the Oval Office on the threat of terrorism — which also stressed gun control.
Front runner Donald Trump was characteristically matter-of-fact:
Sen. Ted Cruz noted on his website that “nothing President Obama said tonight will assist” in destroying the Islamic State or fixing immigration.
Marco Rubio appeared on Fox News and noted Obama’s “cynicism,” saying he was “very disappointed” in the address and feared that instead of making things better “he may have made things worse.”

7 Facts You Didn't Know About Pearl Harbor
Seventy-four years ago today, America was changed forever.
1. Most of the battleships sunk that day were resurrected.
Of the eight battleships targeted during the attacks, all but two were eventually repaired and returned to the U.S. Navy's fleet. The USS West Virginia and the USS California had both sunk completely, but the Navy raised them, repaired them and reused them.
Furthermore, bullet holes and damage from the attacks can be seen to this day at many of the active military installations on Oahu, including Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Army Airfield and Hickam Army Air Field. Rather than being repaired or covered up, the bullet holes serve as a reminder of the lives lost that day and as motivation for our military to stand strong still.

Wicomico Yacht Club Christmas Boat Parade
Joe,
U tube video of the WYC Toys For Tots Christmas Boat Parade in downtown Salisbury last Sat night. From the water it looked like the biggest crowd ever and we collected 20 plus boxes of toys that were unloaded at the Port Of Salisbury Marina to the Marine Corp Reserves Toys For Tots representatives.
Thanks,
