Just a few considerations in addition to previous remarks about the explosion of the East Anglia Climategate e-mails in America. The reaction is growing exponentially there. Fox News, Barack Obama’s Nemesis, is now on the case, trampling all over Al Gore’s organic vegetable patch and breaking the White House windows. It has extracted some of the juiciest quotes from the e-mails and displayed them on-screen, with commentaries. Joe Public, coast-to-coast, now knows, thanks to the clowns at East Anglia’s CRU, just how royally he has been screwed.
Senator James Inhofe’s Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works has written to all the relevant US Government agencies, acquainting them with the nature of the e-mails. But the real car crash for Obama is on Capitol Hill where it is now confidently believed his Cap and Trade climate legislation is toast. It was always problematic; but with a growing awakening to the scale of the scientific imposture sweeping the world, as far as the Antipodes, the clever money is on Cap and Trade laws failing to pass, with many legislators sceptical and the mid-term elections looming ever closer.
At the more domestic level, the proposed ban on incandescent light bulbs, so supinely accepted in this servile state of Britain, is now provoking a huge backlash in America. US citizens do not like the government coming into their houses and putting their lights out. Voters may not understand the cut and thrust of climate debate at the technical level, but they know when the Man from Washington has crossed their threshold uninvited.
The term that Fox News is now applying to the Climategate e-mails is “game-changer”. For the first time, Anthropogenic Global Warming cranks are on the defensive, losing their cool and uttering desperate mantras such as “You can be sceptical, not denial.” Gee, thanks, guys. In fact we shall be whatever we want to be, without asking your permission.
At this rate, Copenhagen is going to turn into a comedy convention with the real world laughing at these liars. Now is the time to mount massive resistance to the petty tyrants and hit them where it hurts – in the wallet. Further down the line there may be, in many countries, a question of criminal prosecution of anybody who has falsified data to secure funds and impose potentially disastrous fiscal restraints on the world in deference to a massive hoax. It’s a new world out there, Al, and, as you may have noticed, the climate is very cold indeed.

The Obama Administration Suddenly Discovers The Constitution
The Justice Department has concluded that the Obama administration can lawfully pay the community group Acorn for services provided under contracts signed before Congress banned the government from providing money to the group.
On Oct. 1, President Obama signed into law a spending bill that included a provision that said no taxpayer money — including money authorized by previous legislation — could be “provided to” the group or its affiliates.
A Housing and Urban Development Department lawyer asked the Justice Department whether the new law meant that pre-existing contracts with Acorn should be broken. And in a memorandum signed Oct. 23 and posted online this week, David Barron, the acting assistant attorney general for the Office of Legal Counsel said the government should continue to make payments to Acorn as required by such contracts.
Requiring the government to cancel contracts with a specifically named entity — “including even in cases where performance has already been completed but payment has not been rendered” — would raise constitutional concerns best avoided by interpreting the law differently, says Mr. Barron.
The Constitution prohibits “bills of attainder” — legislation intended to punish specific people or groups. Acorn has filed a lawsuit arguing that the statute banning the government from providing it money amounts to a bill of attainder.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKE
Happy Thanksgiving (or I guess since it's 1:12am happy belated Thanksgiving and now Brooke’s 5th birthday)!
I couldn't sleep last night just thinking about how thankful I am that Brooke is with us this Thanksgiving... How a year ago on this day Brooke was celebrating her 4th birthday... How everything was so normal and worry free and having no idea that this wicked beast was spreading throughout Brooke's tiny little body. My life will never be the same as it was last Thanksgiving. In spite of the pain & fear of this past year there are still so many blessings. I thought that I knew everything there was to know about Brooke but I had no idea how amazing she truly is. I honestly admire her more than any person I have ever met. Did you ever think you could meet a person that could find complete and utter joy in absolutely anything and everything? Someone who could find joy in having cancer, going through chemo, having their hair fall out, needing hearing aids and glasses? If you're blessed to know Brooke then you have. Brooke has never met a person she doesn't like...She does not see people by the color of their skin, their age, their abilities or disabilities, the clothes they wear, how rich or poor they are. She looks at the beauty in everything around her…she is mesmerized by the colors in the sky when the sun is setting…she thinks that every leaf on the ground is such a treasure and every broken seashell on the beach is worth holding onto. She learned the entire Lord’s Prayer at 3 years old (I didn’t think it was even possible but boy did she prove me wrong). She is always thinking of others -don’t get me wrong my little girl loves getting gifts! – but I can’t tell you how many times she has opened a present and said maybe we should give this to our hospital ER (PRMC) because the kids there don’t have toys to play with or someone gives her money and she says that she would like to donate it to her research fund (what 4 yr old says that? I guess for that matter -how many 4 yr olds have a research fund?)…Don’t be surprised if you are ever visiting her at our house and she won’t let you leave without taking something of hers with you (even something she treasures)! She prays every night from her heart…she prays for her friends at home and for specific kids at CHOP (some she has met once or twice and some she has only heard me talk about but she remembers each name and prays for them and their families), she prays for things like “Nana getting home safely” after she has come up to visit for a couple of hours, she prays for Asher (her buddy Greyson’s doggie that passed away last month), she still prays for Dr. Alvarado and his family since he passed away in August. She thinks about things so deeply and so honestly and with such wisdom. I hope that 20 years from today Brooke is looking back through all these journal entries and guestbook messages and knows how truly special and loved she is and always has been. God Bless you my sweet little girl!
And God bless my family & friends, church, community and all of the amazing people that He has brought into our lives this past year. I am so thankful for each and every one of you and I am so thankful for the wonderful, brilliant and caring doctors, nurses, and of course child life specialists at CHOP that are the reason Brooke loves being at CHOP so much.
Blessings to all,
Amy
