Beach Boy Or Council President?
It seems to me that anyone is this position would hold enough respect for the Citizens of Salisbury, (especially those who voted for him) would respect this position enough to get a haircut and certainly wear a tie.
Gary Comegys comes to each and every Council Meeting setting a fine example of how to dress as a Gentleman and respects his position to such a level.
Mike Dunn is more like the Randy Taylor Beach Boy look, even to the point he wears shorts and sandals to these meetings because he knows he can get away with anything he wants, he's a FOB.
I would like to see Mike Dunn, (I'll use the term Mr. Dunn when he starts showing some class) dress the part and show some respect. If you as a Council are demanding anyone who wants a tax exemption from a manufacturing company actually show up to these meetings physically, then wear a suit and tie, (even if it only cost you $4.00) and earn that respect. In the mean time, you're #1 Mikey.
By the way Mike, if you need a Hairdresser, I hear Charles Jannace has one available with a new opening.
911 Camden Avenue
The Forbes Family simply can't take it any more. "Please just buy us out and we'll move on peacefully."
With all the out of control developing going on, 911 Camden Ave. became subjected to very poor planning and the runoff from every property around ends on this property. Most of the water that ends up there is what they call, "black water." This is water run off from the roads and is very unhealthy. It kills all the grass and plants very quickly. Their Insurance Company refuses to cover anything any more because of the massive damage it causes in flooding some 4 times a year.
"No Real Estate Company will touch our property, it's worthless." The City Council put on their smiley faces and because they knew this was in fact televised, they couldn't treat this poor family as harsh as they have off camera.
The Forbes produced photographs proving the water had gone up some 8 feet high into their garage, which they finally had to tear down because it became so rotted. The mold and mildew levels are so bad that the black mold has grown all the way into their attic! That's bad Folks!
If you see ANY black mold in your home I strongly suggest you get your Insurance Company in there right away before it spreads too far. I believe the Insurance Companies in Maryland will only cover up to $5,000.00 in repairs and trust me, that mold can grow so fast it isn't funny! Once it gets started it's very difficult to stop.
Most people who have mold in their home can't seem to smell it unless they get away from that property for several days and when they return it becomes very evident. Then they get used to it all over again and forget it's there. This mold can kill people, especially the elderly. It attacks the immunity system and it's down hill from there. People can get respiratory problems, nasal passage problems and can get colds and other illnesses very easily.
My suggestion to the Forbes Family is, expose this to the Press as often as possible and let it go to the Court of Public Opinion! If the City would have to spend some $2,000,000.00 for pipes that won't work anyway, the City should buy their home at a fair market value and tear the home down and put a park/playground there.
As Soon As Kim Hudson Left, Look What Happened!
This is pitiful! This is exactly what Barrie Tilghman, Mike Dunn, Gary Comegys & Lynn Cathcart want, an empty room with people who not only don't care, they want less and less public comment so they can rubber stamp anything and everything without looking bad.
They'll come back every time and say, well, if you were so concerned, why weren't you at the meeting? I'll have to agree with them.
Kim Hudson Day
I must admit, there are days, (rare as they may be) when I attend a City Council Meeting and walk away thinking, that was really cool. Kim Hudson, (Mother of 2 children) took it upon herself to make a difference in Salisbury and made sure the Winter Wonderland of Lights were turned on and paid for.
Although the Mayor was supposed to present this Proclamation, she was conveniently on the Western Shore and never did make the meeting at all. I'm sure the egg in her face for slamming down the Winter Wonderland of Lights last year, (hoping it would never return) was enough for her to probably sit in Brew River slamming several drinks and watching PAC 14 from a Bar Stool like she used to do.
Mike Dunn said, I believe the Mayor is on the Western Shore for a legitimate business meeting. Nevertheless, thank you Kim, you're a fine woman/citizen/mother/wife and Salisbury can use quite a few more just like you.
Folks, on November 25th at 4:00 p.m. they will officially turn on the lights. Don't miss it.
You're #1 Joe
I remember taking speech class back in High School where they taught you to stop saying, ummmm, a, a, a, a, know what I mean, things along that line.
I don't think it took any class to teach us NOT to use our middle finger ANYWHERE but this Council and Mayor get a real kick out of using it on a regular basis.
The question is, rather than a speech class, is there such a thing to teach "CLASS" and not use the middle finger?
Obviously I've not needed it and or been referred to it but I'm reaching out for help here.
