Troopers Investigate Threat to Lake Forest High School

Felton, DE - Delaware State Police are investigating a threat that was called into Lake Forest High School this afternoon.

The incident occurred around 12:55 p.m. when a robotic style phone call was received at the main office of Lake Forest High School located at 5407 Killens Pond Road. The caller stated there was an armed subject on the roof of the high school and threatened to do harm to the students and faculty. Students there, as well as students at the Central Elementary School located directly across the street at 5424 Killens Pond Road, were immediately placed on a low level lock down as troopers and K9 units immediately responded to the high school. An administrative search was conducted by school administrators and state police of the interior and exterior of the buildings with nothing of suspicious nature or persons located. The lockdown was lifted around 1:40 p.m. and students resumed normal school activities.

This incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police at this time. It is unknown if this threat is related to the series of bomb threats which have been occurring throughout the state over the past few weeks.
