Police In Del. Say Father Left 3-Year-Old Child In Car, Went To College Class

NEWARK, Del. — Newark Police have arrested a man they say left his 3-year-old child in his car while he went to a class.

Officers say passers-by heard the toddler crying and banging on the car window about 1 p.m. Police say the car was locked and the windows cracked.

The passers-by had the child to unlock a door and called police.

The child was not injured. The Delaware Division of Family Services turned the child over to the child’s mother.
