NY Times reporter criticizes President Trump for Daytona 500 appearance. It doesn't end well.

A New York Times reporter criticized President Donald Trump for using his presidential limo, known as "The Beast," during his visit to the Daytona International Speedway on Sunday.

Reporter Maggie Haberman said, "Using the official apparatus of government for what appears to be a political event."

In response, Haberman was rebuked for her characterization of Trump's activities on Sunday.

Indeed, Trump was not in Daytona for a political event; rather, he was on hand as a VIP guest to give the iconic command of "Gentleman, start your engines" and to lead the field of 40 drivers during the pace laps before the race got under way.

I think it’s a wonderful celebration of an iconic American tradition and thank the President for his support! Haters gonna hate, sadly.

Can anyone remember the fact POTUS was invited by the NASCAR organization to be the Grand Marshall pro race. This was the case. Liberal Democrat Haberman nor ANY of her disciples were so lucky. I wonder why!!!!
As much as the man has done for this Country, as he passed the whole field should have stood and cheered as recognition for the ridicule he has endured for NO PAY by the way, but still performed ALL the things and filled all the promises he made the Dumbocrats were NEVER able to achieve.
Suck it up DEMS, He's going back for four. Give Schummer plenty of water because this is going to be the Democrat version of the Trail of Tears.!!!

Of course it was a political event. You folks again show the lengths you are willing to go to communicate more lies. The thing is, who cares that it was a political event? All Presidents do these types of events as a part of campaigning. The honest thing would be to point this out and move on to more substantive issues.

Trump Derangement Syndrome...a real mental illness...so sad. NO 7:21 We the People Know exactly what it was. NASCAR INVITED POTUS to do this. Period...POTUS wasn't the first to attend this wonderful event, But he did some other firsts there. POTUS was glad to attend, as he know they were HIS people. Don't be so stupid.
