Can Jake Day Explain His ZERO Waste Festival Numbers Please?

they used about 4 months of 1 household water usage in 21 hours of festival. (@ 7 thousand gallons a month)

Most of that was packing debris and signage from the set up.

What’s most remarkable about these numbers is that that’s all the trash 70000 people created?! I mean including packing and setup trash I guess only 1 out of every 30 people purchased anything and nobody took the free programs. It’s interesting that the city and local media highlighted this suspect convoluted cell tower study. The fact is a far more reliable measurement was available right underneath of them. Only one company was emptying the port a potties (which based on a festival like firefly, even roto rooter can’t handle the all day waste of 30000 people, hence they use like 5 different companies now but always used a minimum two, but I digress), so it would have been real simple to average the attendance on sewage waste removed. That wasn’t done because, well, a multi agency high expense study using traffic and cell phone tower averages had to be easier and more accurate, and far easier to not dispute. Right? Rrrriiiiigggghhhtttt
